Even A Child Will Not Believe Sirisena’s Lies: Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe

Prime Minister and UNP Leader Ranil Wickremesinghe, addressing the nation as the Prime Minister from Temple Trees today, categorically denied claims made by President Maithrpala Sirisena yesterday on his removal, and said, “even a child will not believe such lies.”

Expressing his opinion on the current political crisis, Wickremesinghe said the way out of it is through the constitutional process, and added that the international support lied with him.

The full speech made by Wickremesinghe is as follows:

Venerable Maha Sanga
Venerable Priests of All Other Religions
Friends
On 8th of January 2015, 62 Lakhs of people of this country got together as a common front to re-establish democracy in the country and to re-establish peace and reconciliation. We rallied together, against corruption, fraud and thuggery, and at the same time to economically develop this country.

8th of January 2015 all the political parties and the forces including Ven. Maduluwawe Sobitha maha Thero and other priests, Civil society as well as former President Mrs. Chandrika Kumaratunge got together and made Maithreepala Sirisrena the President of this country. Thereafter, I was appointed as the Prime Minister and we continued as the Government. In August 2015 after the General Elections I became the Prime Minister as the Member of Parliament who commands the confidence of the majority of the Parliament.

Our Government functioned as a National Government. We took various measures to re-establish Democratic Freedom in this Country. We appointed Independent commissions. Through the enactment of Right to Information Act, National Audit Act, we created the democratic freedoms which we never enjoyed in this country. We Protected human rights of all. We established the Freedom of Media. We provided various relieves to the people. We increased the salaries. We have implemented mega development projects to economically develop the Country.
Friends,

Yesterday afternoon President Maithreepala Sirisrena addressed the Nation and levelled few allegations against me and the cabinet. I refuse all those allegations. We all know that the powers of the President of this country were curtailed under the 19th amendment of the Constitution. According to article 42(4) of the Constitution the member of the Parliament who commands the confidence of the house should be appointed as the Prime Minister. In his address to the Nation President Sirisena said that in view of the political crisis, Economic crisis and assassination plot against him the only option left to him was nominating former President Mahinda Rajapakashe as the Prime Minister.
According to article 42(4) of the Constitution the Member of the Parliament who commands the confidence of the house should be appointed as the Prime Minister. Accordingly, I wish to express my regret to President Maithreepala Sirisena declaring that he nominated the Prime Minister who has no command of the majority of the House. He is talking of assassination plots to cover up his misdeed. He tells stories even a kid would not believe.

In the history of Sri Lanka, we never heard of a crisis situation like this in our country. What happened on last Friday was an illegal, anti-constitutional and opportunistic act. The ill effects of this act were visible immediately. The incidents took place at ITN, Rupavahini and the Lake House during Friday night indicated what is going to happen to Freedom of the Media in this country.

The solution for this unfortunate situation prevailing in this country lies with the Parliament. Honorable Speaker, by a letter has informed the President that the prorogation of Parliament is against the traditions. Today, all political parties and civil society are requesting to summon the Parliament immediately. International community has informed to act within the available legal framework and the Constitution. Therefore, I would like to earnestly request honorable speaker to summon the Parliament immediately.
The instability prevailing in this country is not good. We witness today the problems people have to face due to this situation. The era of queues has commenced. The Government machinery has come to a halt. The economy we controlled with greater difficulty has crashed. This unfortunate situation is affecting adversely to the future of this country and future of our children.

I would like to clearly state that United National Party, all the other parties belong to United National Front and all other political parties represented in the Parliament are standing firm to re-establish the democracy in this country. We will never allow anti-constitutional dictatorship to rule this country.
Not only people of this small island, rest of the world is with us at this moment. I would like to finally request from all of you to forget political differences and rally around us to re-establish the democracy in this country in order to ensure a better future for our younger generations. We request Honorable Speaker to summon the Parliament immediately. We can save our country from this unfortunate and difficult situation only through re-establishing democracy within the Parliamentary system.

Thank you.

Exactly; childish behaviour of M&S ..
First of all; he should know that 6.2m votes are UNP votes ..
He would not have won a presidential election without UNP support ..
Secondly; UNP and it’s alliance enjoy the majority.
It’s with their support m&s enjoy his post ..
Thirdly; in politics you must have some system to hand over power ..
In England; PM ask the approval Queen.
In US; there is time scale to hand over power ..
Likewise ; many other countires too have some mechanisms to change power ..
Who the hell advised him to do this ?
He must be some crazy people ..
    Even if he does ?
The majority would not support him in parliament..
Next move would be to impeached him immediately.
His political stupidity is exposed by this ….
    The country trusted him.?
He behaved like an idiot ..
I do not think he deserve to be the president of Sri Lanka at all ..
22 million people are now clearer than this political idiot ?
How on earth he could do this ?
    It is mere treason ?
    Misuse of power ?
For whose benefit is it done?
MR AND CO managed to fool him in a Broad day light.
    Utter miscalculation..
Even if does any coup with support of military he would be in difficult soon

      Lankan blue,
Do not say his political stupidity. MS had 50 years of political experience. This was a pre-planned arrangement. He knows the dangers that he has to confront. The event of appointing MR took place on Friday when RW was in Galle and before RW was sacked. Remember MS was arrested by Srimavo on suspicion of being a JVP insurgent. When one look at the events that took place from Friday to date he is not, but an evil schemer. Proroguing of Parliament is also undemocratic.

Prime Minister and UNP Leader Ranil Wickremesinghe,

RE: Even A Child Will Not Believe Sirisena’s Lies: Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe

Thanks for the additional title of Liar to Maitripala Sirisena, which many missed.

Most of the 6.2 million who voted for Sirisena had conferred on him the Titles of Traitor, Sevalaya, Mala-Perethaya and Patolaya. The additional Title of Pachaya, Liar is an addition.

It is 100% illegal. There is no doubt on this. Those who says it is right do not believe in Lord Buddha. Mahinda always played dirty politics. SLFP is the victim of Mahinda & Sirisena.

This is a best opportunity for India to intervene militarily. In Maldives when similar situation arose and the ousted President requested Indian military intervention, India hesitated, partly because the unworthiness of the real estate and partly told by USA and Israel to show restraint as they will settle the problem soon, and they did it. In Sri Lanka the situation is different, with Indian security threatened and economic interests eroded. Though there is no invitation by ousted party for India to militarily intervene, there is a convenient excuse of Tamil problem which has not been solved even by this government, including not complying with UN resolution on accountability issues on war crimes and reconciliation with Tamils. Unlike in 1987, USA and west are not going to sabotage Indian action and Russia will remain neutral. With the recent thrashing of China in the eastern front with help of USA and Israel, India will not have much problem with Chinese presence even if they are invited by MR & MS to send their military to support them. Let us watch the fun.

        Oh good.

Then India will split the country. Tamils will live in the north and east. Sinhalese in other provinces. Good.

Remember in 1983 India shipped Tamils out of Colombo to Jaffna?

“India will never split the country”.
India is not idiotic to do that, and even Modi or Amit Shah cannot do and will not that because India had learnt the bitter lessons of being subdued by British Imperialism. It has also not forgotten how the British gained a foothold on it’s territory via the South which ultimately led to its decline resulting in famines and the carve up on religious grounds.
The horse deal between British Imperialism and a indian Capitalism is not relevant now, let simmer on the back burner.
          What has happened had happened.
But SL is the Sinhalese state of India. That is what another commentator often pithily says in this forum which many of you may have read, and that is the real ‘Truth.’
Poet Bharathy prophetically said the same in his own poetic way in the last century.
BTW it was SL’s JRJ who in 1977 exported Tamils to the NE of the country. NOT INDIA.
In 1983 he attempted a final solution but failed miserably.

You are correct that India will never split the country. But India will never be able to bring Sri Lanka as a vassal state without the support of Tamils. Indian policy on Sri Lanka formulated by north Indian racists and corrupt Keralites have to change drastically from one of hitting Tamils and pleasing Sinhalese to empowering Tamils and controlling Sinhalese. Two most friendly ethnic groups outside India are Nepalese and Tamils and India is at loggerheads with them. Is this not stupid. USA is controlling middle east with Israel and far east with Japan, and it will never let both countries down. By continuing to let Tamils down, India will not gain anything. At least now I hope that India has learnt its lesson. GL Peris says RW has requested for UN peace keeping force to be sent to Sri Lanka. If it is true, this is a golden opportunity for India to step in with the excuse of implementing Indo-Sri Lanka accord, which Sri Lanka has tampered with and failed to implement fully. No one can object to it as Sri Lanka cannot abrogate or violate this international pact unilaterally.

              Dr.G.S.
SL has never been a vassal state of India in the past and will never be even in the future.
The people of SL across the communal divide will never tolerate or ever allow that.
But SL will be a namesake Sinhala state of India.
I do not think that the people of the island will have a problem about that.
But inevitably SL’s independence and sovereignty and India’s security are intertwined. That is the way it has been fated.

History can only be repeated. Yes Sri Lanka was never a vassal state of India and never will be such. But remember Sri Lanka historically was a vassal state of Pandyan kingdom, offering gifts to Pandyan kings and offering to marry Pandyan princesses in order to keep Cholas away. It is only Tamils and not any other Indians who ruled Sri Lanka. That is why I said India can make Sri Lanka as a vassal state only with the support of Tamils. How did you come to the conclusion that Sinhalese will have no problem of Sri Lanka being a Sinhala state of India. This is the reason why MR allowed China to set foot in Sri Lanka and RW/MS gave away land to China on a 99 year lease. Sinhalese do not want Sri Lanka to be subservient to anyone, but sadly the presence of China has posed a security threat to India and hence all these unfortunate incidents which has brought Sri Lanka sovereignty to question.

                  Dr.G.S.
My conclusion that Sinhalese will have no problem of being regarded as a Sinhalese state of India is because the majority Sinhalese and even the Tamils know that they have their origins from the subcontinent from very ancient times as told in their myths and legends.
China with its common border with India had also had trading relationship with the little island situated in the South in the Indian Ocean from ancient times.
That MR had facilitated China to set foot in SL may be a fact in current times, but it is also a fact China has a closer and larger relationship with neighbouring India is also true.
In that regard it cannot be construed that China is a sworn enemy of India despite the war in the 1960’s and has great influence over India in SL.

You racist Sumanasekera, I am a medical graduate from Colombo University when the degrees conferred were internationally recognised. I am also an alumni of University of London with internationally acclaimed qualification. Come to UK to find out how racist Sinhalese are living like dogs with their tails tucked between the legs, because unlike in Sri Lanka Sinhala racism or terrorism is not condoned.

They have fought for justice and democracy.

But the man who led it got caught by criminals.

So, all is now seen as not just for good purposes those CRIME investigations were initiated.
My gosh, lankens cant be reliable on anything.

I also saw fire crackers set in Jaffna to send the message across that notherners are happy with the fake APPOINTMENT made by President.

I think lanken politicians to do the job, they should BE criminals from the begining on.
Ranil or any others of that nature would not be welcome by lanken folks.
Lanken folks are criminasl and their representatives should also be criminals.

How Mahinda came back to power is illegal, underhand, undemocratic and shameful.

Now it’s your duty as the prime minister to save our democracy.

Then if Mahinda or anyone else wins an election through the established democratic process …….. so be it; that’s the true expression of the people’s will. What has happened now is not; it’s a coup.

I just want you to focus on:

      John Lennon Lyrics
      “Imagine”
      (from “Imagine: John Lennon” soundtrack)

      Imagine there’s no heaven
      It’s easy if you try
      No hell below us
      Above us only sky
      Imagine all the people
      Living for today… Aha-ah…

      Imagine there’s no countries
      It isn’t hard to do
Nothing to kill or die for
      And no religion, too
      Imagine all the people
      Living life in peace… You…

You may say I’m a dreamer
But I’m not the only one
I hope someday you’ll join us
And the world will be as one

      Imagine no possessions
      I wonder if you can
No need for greed or hunger
      A brotherhood of man
      Imagine all the people
      Sharing all the world… You…

You may say I’m a dreamer
But I’m not the only one
I hope someday you’ll join us
And the world will live as one

Ranil, I totally agree with you. President made a wrong interpretation of Article 42(4). What in the view of the President does not mean his personal opinion. That opinion should refer to as as who is commanding the majority in the Parliament. Moreover, President should have asked MR to demonstrate his command of the majority in the Parliament before being appointed as PM. I think it is a constitutional coup. In addition, what about President’s corruption and how did be become the third richest politician in Sri Lanka for year 2018.

Sorry Ayaathuray, I don’t agree when you say “it is a constitutional coup”.
Because as far as I have studied the 19th Amendment I am unable to
find anything that ‘can reasonably be interpreted as a clause to permit the dismissal of the elected Prime Minister’ i.e. a man by the name of Ranil Wickremasinghe as you would know.
That I never did or would ever vote for him is my own decision, a privilege I enjoy by what is known as “secret ballot”.
That apart would you please edify me about the said clause that the SL constitution has to justify when you say “constitutional coup”.

Ranil, you made your bed..now lie on it!! This is all your fault. The UNP under your pathetic leadership could never face an election alone.. always had to go looking for a Common candidate. MS was the hero of your party, the man who sacrificed himself for you. You expected him to be a puppet president didn’t you. Didn’t really go to plan did it? Serves you right!!

Karma is a beautiful thing. You talk about no- one believing Sirisena! Well do you remember the lies you fed us?? Lamborginis, golden horses, Dubai hotels??? You’re also a bloody liar and you know it. You’re also a thief, and make MR look like an amateur next to you in that aspect!!

So for the sake of the UNP and this country…leave..resign…take a vacation away from Sri-lanka forever!!

You have been a curse to our nation, only rivalled by Prabakaran

Who cares if this was all unconstitutional..all we the common people who have increasingly struggled over the last year know is that we couldn’t have survived another year under your pathetic leadership.

Go! For heaven’s sake! GO !!!

      Ranil,
      .
Life is much simpler for blood-thirsty Dobermans and Rotweilers than for the intelligent Labradors and Alsations.
      .
Yes, you could have rushed after your election win to hound down the rascals, drag them by their collars and imprison them willy-nilly to enthrpone yourself like what happened to Sarath Fonseka under the previous regime, the moment the then regime felt even the slightest threat.
      .
Decency has its merits but some drawbacks as well! How do you balance is indeed a challenge.
      .
Hope the constitutional purists are able to convince the modayas to stop the transition back to dictatorship – and that God gives you the strength to be decent but forthright and stern, not wavering and unduly pliable!
      .
      Good luck!!

All right, what you say may be justifiable.
But what is your view about the man who has been permitted by the President to take Oaths as PM and the stealth and hurried manner it was done without the knowledge of the people in the country who voted for RW to be their PM. I however dit not.
      But his dismissal justified?

Those who respect democracy and constitutional values, will respect you Mr RW. I am not any supporter to any parties, but I believe, you deserve to clear this in the parliament.

There are trying to hang that ASSANSIATION plot on him not thinking twice. But the poor young man is given free access to talk to Derana and Hiru further as the young man should be the very responble person to handle lanken media affairs. If there is truth about the murder plot, they should take him to custoday and be warned him not to repeat or add new statements to the media. Why is that there is no law regarding that prevailing in the system.
These men who are behind Namal Kumara should be Gotabaya Rajapakshe et al himself.
They just want to hang all these on to Sarath fonseka so that they can hang all other murders on him and Gotabaya ‘s accussation on his direct mediation could go out of the mindset of the average.
All in all, there had been a big conspiracy to get rid of Mr RW. But they di dnot know how to do it.
Now having done it unconstitutionally, they are all caught.
Today, most powerful Mahinda Rajapkashes was marching behind Sirisena, seen in Thisamaharama premises. Mahinda Rajakshes is knelt down to Sirisena at this moment, since the bugger accepted the position offered to him. Else, all the court hearings that were planned to be heared from November would surely convict them in that case.
All is now on their side so that bugger et al with Sirisena can do even day light murders in the days to come.

” WE WILL NEVER ALLOW ANTI-CONSTITUTIONAL DICTATORSHIP TO RULE THIS COUNTRY.”

    Thanks Mr. PM.
Some or how, after occupying the UNP forcefully for 40 years, you are realizing dictatorship cannot be allowed. You earlier said when on Nov 16th, if they prove their majority, you would agree with Donkey Trading.
You refused to investigate criminals and forced the country to slip into anarchy. Now, somebody is capturing that opportunity and creating dictatorship. It is your fault. I don’t still believe even if this crisis is sorted out, you can be corrected. (Sobitha Thero died because of you and New King- and you take responsibility of his death too).

You established “Yahapalanaya” means impunity to all kind of criminals and Law Breakers. You brought in a law to save the Master thief’s $18B. People are not going believe you. But they look forward it is your duty to see democracy is restored. You do that please.

Please instead of stop with this, democratically UNP should get out to the Road now and pay debt for the people from their money you all fattened all these time. Pls bring back their democracy.

Ranil W may be a good leader or a bad leader , he may have not managed the Bond scam properly, but none of these warrant an undemocratic removal a PM. The constitution must be respected.

Mahinda was sworn in as PM when Ranil was still PM, Ranil was sacked subsequently.
So clearly the country cant have two PMs

My3 in his haste made a blunder by appointing Mahinda when Ranil was still PM

SUMMON the Parliament FORTHWITH, Mr. President.
I THINK it is the right thing to do when there is an unprecedented political crisis.
I’ve been contemplating to say it, but didn’t have the heart because of MR.
I am not a politician so I’m not one for political coups or underhand games.
I respect democracy, the rule of law and above all Sri Lanka’s Constitution.
I saw Gammanpila’s justification, which is wrong, misleading and bias. He is a lawyer, I’m not. Let’s talk about TWO prominent factors relevant to this.
(1). Mahinda’s appointment is legal and at the same time Ranil’s removal is illegal!!!!
    To elaborate further:
Mahinda’s appointment is tentatively legal while Ranil’s removal is totally illegal as he is a Sitting Prime Minister.
After a general election, where there is a NEW Parliament, the President can exercise his prerogative to appoint any MP who he thinks holds the majority in the Parliament.
However, when there is a Sitting Prime Minister, the President cannot exercise the above prerogative at his own personal will, other than following the rules stipulated in the Constitution.
I think the “coup masters” have mixed up the above two. :)
The only provision to remove a Sitting Prime Minister is 1).through a general election 2). through an NCM. or 3). by his resignation.
What do we saw on the 26th? I cannot find a name for that.
I am afraid, Mr. President, our Constitution does not allow room for “no name games.”
You can violate a Constitution thousand times for any other occasion, but you CANNOT VIOLATE provisions that are in place to protect the RIGHTS and PRIVILEGES of an elected Prime Minister or any other MP in the Parliament.
    Contd’…. 1/2

      Contd…2/2
(2). 19A which was passed by 2/3 majority of SLFP/UNP says; if a single party is unable to secure the majority in the Parliament, the first and the second political parties which had secured the highest number of seats should form a unity government, which is a requirement.
In other words, a withdrawal of one Coalition Partner from the Unity Government is NOT sufficient for forgo that requirement until they prove that they have the majority seats in the Parliament.
In the light of above two, summoning the Parliament is a requirement by the Constitution.
I am afraid JO, I cannot find any way to JUSTIFY this “constitutional coup” followed by a “Prorogation of the Parliament” although it was for my heart-and-soul leader.
We Sinhalese fight a fight, but we FIGHT FAIR.
I hate Ranil’s politics. I attacked him mercilessly. In the meantime, I fought for justice, fairness and equality for 4 years. I am afraid I cannot take a U turn when I see an injustice happened to ANYONE, even to a foe.
Today, I am fighting for the rights of MY OPPONENT, Ranil W.
The Prorogation of the Parliament, “after creating a deliberate political turmoil”, is ARBITRARY, DICTATORIAL and A CALLOUS DISREGARD of the democracy, constitution and civil and political rights of a certain section of citizens of this country.
      I urge the President,
—- Summon the Parliament and give Ranil Wickremasinghe, the Sitting Prime Minister, his CONSTITUTIONAL, LEGAL AND DEMOCRATIC RIGHT in accordance with the Constitution to see whether he STILL holds the majority in the Parliament.
—- Summon the Parliament and give Ranil Wickremasinghe, the other Coalition Partner of the Unity Government, his DUE RIGHT in accordance with the 19A to verify whether he has the majority in the Parliament.

I am going away for 5 days until Saturday.
I stand by what I said all this time. The next President is NOT A RAJAPAKSA or a politician from SLFP, UNP or JVP.
      I don’t give up easily.
I continue my fight until the next Residential Election. It doesn’t matter when.
In any case it has to be held before December 2019.
I am 100% sure SOMEBODY will come forward to lead the Presidential campaign from people’s side and 100% sure we can stop a Rajapaksa becoming the next President. (MR can’t contest.)
This Parliament is utterly corrupt. The same electronic blogger I mentioned earlier, yesterday revealed more names of corrupt MPs and he said without fear that it is Basil who is distributing money to a tune of 650 million among 3 MPs.!!!
The magnitude of the corruption racket involving our politicians gives me nausea.
We are the people who can make a difference in this country.
Let us begin from the next Presidential election and go to Parliamentary Elections.
Without power, money or connections, people like us can make a big shocking difference to the current cancerous political system in Sri Lanka.
Even the people who are not against Mahinda, are disturbed, anxious and worried. I cannot understand why.
Even I was paralyzed with fear when I heard CPC shooting and the commotion that we are heading for a bloodbath. OMG.
      Adios until Saturday!
Someone said CT’s days are numbered! Mahinda dare not do anything like that!

          Bubbuladewi
I was elated at first when I heard the good news about MR.
But then they prorogued the Parliament which made all the difference in me.
It is a detour to 2010-2015 era where suppression, intimidation and corruption were the basis for securing and maintaining the power of Rajapaksas.

No one has to believe words spoken. A child would not understand what either side said anyway. RW’s criminal activities and actions against national interests were all there out in the open for anyone to see and understand. Let us just take one example – mega Central Bank Bond Scam. Where is his foreigner friend for whom RW had given all the sureties, now that RW himself had sprung him out of the country in case he was arrested? Remember the charade that he played in the Parliament during the Presidential Commission: I quote “Kavuda Hora, Kavuda Hora”. Now RW has been well truly exposed as the HORA. So there !!!

Thrisu the toilet of MR is back upto it.

This man is beyond my bearing.

Always Bond scam even if the loads of grabs Rajakshes et al are deliberately responsible… are just nothing for this bugger.

Just attack for RW for restore democracy and law and order. You got to know it last night the incident occured in Dematagoda. There, they can count to have murdered the first since ballige putha returned to power.
I prey all gods to work on taking the life of Ballige putha Rajapkshes sooner than later.

Criminal activites of RW <<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<MR high crimes

Every politicians would fall to crimes knowingly or unknowingly.

But Rajapakshes deliberately killed own folks

Last 3.5 years under the rule of Mr RW, not a single person was gunned down.

      But ballige putha killed dozens.
      Now the era is back

Thanks to Thrisu and the like crime friendly guys.

    Ranil,
How do you balance is indeed a challenge.
    .
Hope the constitutional purists are able to convince the modayas to stop the transition back to dictatorship – and that God gives you the strength to be decent but forthright and stern, not wavering and unduly pliable!
    .
    Good luck!!

Premier RW is by no means chicken-hearted as the events that have unfolded over a day or two .Most others would have thrown in the Towel and caved in at the tremendous pressure, exerted by the MaRa-MS WITH DISGUSTING METHODS ADOPTED to dislodge him.
He has demonstrated to the whole world that he is made of superior stuff than his uncouth detractors.
It was just the other day that most of them were in the cabinet with him.Now these very same folks have their daggers pointed at him.
Shakespeare drama no doubt! Only difference would be that there is not a single Brutus, but the entire lot.

ITS LOOK LIKE A CLASS FIGHT BETWEEN COLOMBO EDUCATED and village educated. UNP have more city educated but SLFP have more village educated and some of them LIKE WIMAL,THILANKA,GAMANPILLY. REALLY behave like STREET THUGS.since people have elected them write or wrong they are members of parliment.BUT AFTER ENTERING PARLIMENT THEY SHOULD KNOW HOW TO BEHAVE.

Would even a child believe that you are not guilty in the bond scam !

Because you are such a fraud you cannot ever take a principled stand -giving way to every demand , enjoying every comfort that power brings. You ignore all frauds and corruptions , especially if committed by old Royalists

I am surprised MR got into this trap that’s going to tarnish his image. MR and Ranil are trusted People’s leaders and we expect them to behave in that manner.
    Truth will triumph.

Ranil W was able to remain as UNP leader for long time with the help of Mahinda in spite for challenges from Premadasa and others. If RW had real leadership qualities he should have contested against Mahinda in 2015 and become the President.
Tamils may be slightly worse off with Mahinda. Ranil hasn’t done much for the Tamils

    Ranil!
Your inability to take action against the previous rulers lead to your downfall. whether you will climb up or not is another matter. It is indeed a boomerang.

The people should be outraged that they are lying to them and treating them like children. The two conspirers have act above our laws, and there is no doubt, this is a coup. We have a constitution, and no made up government is legitimate, until they have followed the rule of law, not make it up to support their dastardly deeds.
Rajapaksa, from the time he lost the last election to Ranil, has been plotting and planning, and positioning himself, to get power back, one way or the other.
It seems Sirisena betrayed the people, by making it easy for him.

We should not tolerate this Sri Lanka, we will only be encouraging others to seize power, at their convenience, and not follow the rule of law. We should reject this power play, it is not good for this country, and our progress.

Can Ranil deny the fact that Arjun Mahendran is not his close friend? Can he also deny the fact that he along with his cronies robbed the Central Bank?
I do not agree with everything MS is doing. But this time he has taken a right decision by removing Ranil as PM. He could have appointed another person from the UNP instead of MR as an interim PM. Problem with MR is that he will allow his all the siblings to plunder the countrys resources. Hope MR will not repeat his past mistakes. We will have to wait and see.

Ranil, you are a lazy politician who did nothing all these years. You sat on your hands and never brought these Rajapaksa barbarians to justice. The moment you came to power, you should have rounded up all these goons and sent them off to the Hague for war crimes, but did you do that? You went to parliament and acted as if nothing happened with the godaya bugger Sirisena. This gamarala bugger Sirisena should be tilling the fields instead of being the President. What’s the point in crying now? CBK worked so hard to topple this scoundrel from power and your inaction brought this criminal and his criminal brothers back to power.

In the middle of these so many articles in which all the Patriotic – INGOs, Civil Society (MCC in other countries call them OPen society) activists, Tamil, sinhala and White Folks from the other REligion which is not Catholic and I can not talk here, they all say Ranil is the EXECTIVE because of the 19th Amendment and not the CRAPPY constitution that they want to change. Even though PResident is called the EXECUTIVE President he is not executive, he can not FIRE RANIL (Poor Fellow, he is drinking his Free of case of Whiskey he kept inthe sirikotha). Even though the so-called Executive president is not executive at all his name should be changed to PResident for ceremonail purposes such as shaking hands with the Bloody handed dignitaries from some countries which I can not write here.
Anyway, Ranil’s honesty is self -explanatory here. Maithripala Belittled Ranil saying that Arjun Mahendran is Ranil’s Bossom Friend. Yet Ranil accused Mahendran as the Instigator Scammer of the Bond scam. Ranil did not allow Mahendran to stay here prove that he is innocent. Ranil, in the disguise of FTA told Sinapore PM why Arjun Mahdenran is Innocent.
I heard there will be interesting stories to come out to prove how Ranil was doing.

People don’t want RW in politics, except a few may be for personal gain.

If you’re confident that there’re people with you, request the president/request the speaker to request the president to dissolve the house & seek a fresh mandate instead of being adamant on you’re still the PM.

Your attempt to draw international sympathy will never work & if you love @ least your party, hand over the leadership to next person below you before it’s dragged.

In fairness to Ranil Wickremasinghe, every individual who values Democracy in this country, should be thankful to him for sustaining and upholding Democracy in the country. If not for his presence in the field of Politics, Democracy would have been killed long ago and a Dictatorship would have been thrust on us by now.

      Gamini ,

I stand with U N P today not because of Ranil and his Democracy but
because of the necessity . My3 and Ranil created this situation . The
minorities voted this GAMARALA in because of U N P endorsement
of him . And Now , where do we stand ? Can Ranil escape responsibility?
Will Ranil go to sleep with any mother’s son ? In a sense I would believe
that Ranil is forcing his leadership to the country ! Why on earth UNP
could not stand for President race twice ? Because this is not the time
for all these questions I stop here but these and more questions remain
for the people to find answers . MARA CAN COME BACK FROM ASHES
AND HAUNT RANIL IN JUST THREE YEARS WHICH RANIL COULDN’T
FOR DECADES ? YOU STILL WANT TO PUT YOUR WEIGHT BEHIND SUCH
A MAN ? MARK MY WORD GAMINI , RANIL FAILS HERE MEANS HIS NEXT
      DOOR IS THE EXIT !

You failed when you (1) took no action against Mahendran and Perpetual. IF you did so, this series of misfortunes would not have followed, one after the other. (2) second, you should have sacked Ravi immediately it was seen that he is liar, a crook, and a plunderer of the national wealth. (3) when UNP did so badly at the recent polls for local bodies, the writing was on the wall. But, arrogantly you and your RCGay buddies carried on as if nothing was wrong.

Ranil the best for you to do is depart and give reins to Sajith. Go now, in the name of God GO.

Even scholars will believe it. That’s where our PR company comes in. We hid the war crimes from the international community. Compared to that, this is a very simple matter.
