Heads of five diplomatic missions in Colombo have met President Maithripala Sirisena to discuss the current political crisis and expressed strong displeasure at the developments in Parliament on Thursday and Friday, Colombo Telegraph learns.

Among those who met Sirisena were the heads of diplomatic missions of the US, UK, the European Union and Australia, informed diplomatic sources told Colombo Telegraph.
They had informed Sirisena that his administration would face “dire consequences”, especially in the diplomatic sphere, if the crisis persisted. They had asserted that Sirisena should take the lead in resolving the crisis, without delay.
At a meeting with one diplomat, Sirisena had said he had assurances from several key UPFA MPs that former President Rajapaksa commanded majority support in the House. The President had said he appointed Mahinda Rajapaksa as the Prime Minister based on such assurances.
It is against this backdrop that Sirisena has delayed responding to the letter sent by Jayasuriya yesterday informing that the second No-Confidence Motion against Mahinda Rajapaksa was adopted by Parliament.
Although the President, at a meeting with SLPP MPs, said that he did not accept the second No-Confidence Motion, he has not officially informed his opinion to the Speaker thus far.
Sirisena, when he met party leaders supporting the No Confidence Motion earlier this week, said he would resolve the current political crisis within “two-three” days. However, when he informed the SLPP MPs that he did not accept the results of the second NCM, the matter came back to square one.

Another easy way is to slap a travel ban on all including the Politicians from visiting their countries. And to that, Rajaapskeh loyalists that demolished almsot everything in the parliament yestreday on revealing to the world, how crime friendly the Rajaakshe loyalists have been, having held a meeting with very same president yestreday afternoon; President and his loyalists were believed to be not on drugs or alcohol added, that President would reject to respect the results as they were not in compliance with his expectations.
This is the reason why were compelled to read that tabloid reported it as ” even second NCM voting is rejected “.
Now as I read here, he is to have added the visiting diplomats that he was misled by Rajaklashe loyalists át the begining having said that the numbers would have been ready.
So there are discrepancies between Rajakshes loyalists and Presidents information. Why is that ?

It is high time that the diplomatic community in Sri Lanka stepped in and pulled Sirisena by his grama sevaka ears and tells him in no uncertain terms that, it is he who created this mess and to ensure that he takes the country out of this mess sooner rather than later.
Whatever the Godayas may say, about us trying to live in a cocoon oblivious to the world community, the fact is that we are still a third world country and have much to lose rather than to gain by trying to get the world community on the wrong side of our fence.
India our big brother who has been silent since the 26th October could be a lion just sleeping and watching the drama unfolding here. They just need a pin hole which if they find would not hesitate to teach us a lesson.

We saw some blood on the Parliament floor hope there would not be any on the streets of the country and if one drop falls, the LTTE war of 30 years would be just a walk in the park. There would be more bloodshed than what the Indian Ocean could dissolve. All that would be because of Sirisena’s greed to be elected President again. This drama has definitely taken 6.2 million votes away from him. MR would not endorse him as their Presidential candidate because if he does that they would would end up with about A million votes only.

Standing Order was suspended and the resolution was passed. We don’t have to talk about that in detail. importantly all what the illegal government did in the lame duck operation was taking over media, reducing tax, reducing the oil price, reducing few consumer good prices & attempted to prop up rupee value by releasing the most important dollar reserve built up all these time. So to stop more damage to country in their effort of hijacking the parliament and using it as tool to an election victory, some urgent injection is needed. So this rush method sought instead of leisurely taking 10-15 days. Donkey trading is nothing compared to the cyclone damage attempted to the economy of the country.
Unlike New King’s illegal Appointment, dismissal, prorogue and dissolution, suspending Standing Order to attending an urgent matter is normal, usual and is legally valid procedure. Now EP trying another illegal thing that is challenging the Parliament goes into suspended Standing Order Mode. As soon as the resolution to suspend the Standing Order is passed, Speaker is just another member in the Chamber and Parliament decides with the majority. He cannot enforce any procedure on the members. Probably some other Parliaments may not allow this type of matters decided the Standing Order suspended. But our Goolayas watered out everything only to pass anything in hurry against Tamils. Other than that, after suspending standing order, they would not have passed anything useful. Normally Parliament faces problems to convene because none of these 8th graders go to the parliament in normal days.
Sumanthiran passed the suspension resolution. He wants to go to court to have that procedure accepted by EP. (Sumanthiran passed the suspension resolution & Anura Kumara passed NCM resolution. They purposefully split into two functions so one minority party need not to take the entire wrath the emperors. ) Let see what is happening Monday in the court and for the talk of the diplomats. Now it is double edged sword.
