    Govt is bullying.

There are even govt politicians who are well known thieves.

Rishad Bathiuddin is a well known [Edited out], in his word, one who came to colombo only with a plastic bag full of things, now is a billionaire land and real estate owner and is settling [Edited out] in Mannar.

    govt is silent.

For once the govt has stopped interfering with the function of the court. This is a good thing and a lesson or every bum will put a yellow robe and be a law unto himself.

softy, didn’t you notice the bullying in the last government? And what about the thieves in the last government, starting with the biggest ones in the leadership roles??

You’re right about the thieves in this one too and they too should be jailed – along with the rest of the thuggish frauds in robes and those criminals in the last government who are still free and living off their ill-gotten wealth.

RE: Four More Monks Remanded In Homagama Unrest

      Q. When are they going to charge them for all the criminal activities they carried out earlier, such as at Alutgama?

      Why the delay?

Credit to Homagama Magistrate for doing the right thing.

Unfortunately monks today have no clue about “vinyaya.

One monk was under a bus with his neck kept to the tyre preventing the bus from taking Gnanasara.

The chief priests are completely responsible for the current state but unfortunately they have vey little say over these monks.

There are 30,000 temples and it is not an easy task to keep all of them on the right track.

Very commendable is the action of Homagama Magistrate. Ten in a row are the life threatening monks.

Five centuries ago when Europe set foot on the modernizing process, ‘Overmighty Subjects’ who were a law unto themselves were kept in their place. In this country which had relapsed to barbarian times, judges have taken on the task of retrieval. Though temporarily they are now in their kennels.Where politicians fear to move, judges dare to go.

If the tempo is sustained good times are ahead.

THis Homagama Magistrate is one hell of a gutsy fellow.

He is establishing not just the independence of the judiciary, he is establishing the long forgotten fact that the LAW is supreme.

This Gnanasara THUG was way way out of alignment and one hopes he will be soon charged and put away in prison. He is no priest, he is a political tool, a thug, a bully. Pity, Jim Softly cannot see it that way.

And we will be forced to demand a war crime investigation.

Well I never thought about the reason for my existence. What has it got to do with other’s murderous rage?

        Native Vedda

‘loose track of them’ is murderous?

So you have the privileged information about ‘what was done to the LTTE fellas’.

If that is befell on them and that you acknowledge why can’t the saffron brigade enjoy the same fate?

Your thinking is neither ‘Native’ nor ‘Viddaic’- rather idiotic.

Catch all thugs who are in yellow robes and incarcerate them for life.

Then genuine monks are free from these thugs and will be respected by all without any prejudice and discrimination.

These thugs are belong to Gotabaya and Buruwansa.

      I can understand your feelings.

You are good man. You stopped with the suggestion of derobing.

I am glad you controlled your comment without going further to say strip them naked i.e., strip their amudais, jockstraps, komanam, suspender, ball guards etc.

Keep it up. You will win.

The Sangha are like those ‘see no evil, speak no evil hear no evil’ monkeys, who will not say a word about those so-called monks who disgrace Buddhism.

So much for Sri Lanka’s brand of Buddhism – nothing to do what the Buddha taught us.

Prevention is better than cure. These rogue monks must be made into an example for others who arrogantly think they can interfere in our courts, by protesting any proceedings, causing a disturbance, and who have no regard for the law. We should not be fooled by the saffron robes – they are simply a cover for thuggery and many times, bigotry.

Looking at the photo, not sure who he pointing his figure at, is he a cultured Sathu or serial pest. He would be a threat even to the prison inmates. Do we expect him to preach Buddha’s teaching to the children of SL?. He should be do a lot of learning. Kudos to the magistrate.

Good old Dilantha Withanage has taken over the relay baton from Gnanasara to continue with vicious bashing pf Muslims living in SL, referring to his own version of ‘credible threats’ at his weekly press conference. He also laments at the differential treatment meted out on the arrest of his boss, against that of arrest and instant bail out of Hirunika. He obviously scans all websites (including CT Forums) to rake in the mud about Muslim related issues, anything spurious on Islam and Muslims is mouth watering stuff for him, which has now become his only means of survival and keep his Organization from getting folded up for good. He is virtually living on the human misery of others. Some of his famous mantras are ‘We were the first to tell you this, we knew this was going to happen, in fact we exposed this will happen from almost two years ago, and we now see it happening’ are all his way of saying ‘give us more funding to fight the scourge of Muslim expansionism’, and ‘I told you so’ is only to suggest he was always right about it. Discrediting Muslims is big business today, and funds are a plenty if anyone is courageous enough to make it their business. This is what Dilanthe does in his weekly press publicity stunts, but it still does not match up to the fire and brimstone vengeance and impact that his boss Gnanasara can create. In fact he reproduced the youtube video picked up by CT on its Forum ‘Fundamentalism creeps into Muslim schools’ and analysed it at length virtually on every sentence that was mentioned discrediting Muslim education in schools and Quranic Madrasas. It was disgusting to watch to what low levels these guys stoop to live off the blood of others. The whole BBS and all such racist organizations must be dismantled with immediate effect, and all these guys made to go out to earn and make a decent living, instead of depending on easy money. The monks sent for re-education of life according to teachings of their Lord Buddha.

Why cannot the government seriously consider the prison system in Sri Lanka be managed, controlled and run by the Buddhist clergy. These priests in management can preach the good things of life to the incarcerated criminals including the other errant priests. This will lead to the conversion of criminals into peace loving citizens thus making Sri Lanka a much better place to live. Bensen

Do so please and let the people in this country live in harmony.
