Global Tamil Forum (GTF) commends the passing of the UN resolution on Sri Lanka, at the current Human Rights Council (HRC) session in Geneva, as a crucial first step towards accountability and justice for victims on the island. Tamils all over the world are thankful to the United States for spearheading the initiative and to all those who have made this first meaningful step possible.
We are most encouraged by India for having made a significant vote in favour of addressing human rights abuses and the importance that accountability plays in facilitating just peace.
In addition to the lobbying efforts of the Tamil Diaspora, Tamils in Tamil Nadu and Malaysia, many international parliamentarians, media organisations, non-government bodies and some progressive human rights activists from the South of Sri Lanka have all contributed towards the success of this Resolution. GTF encourages all Tamil political parties in Sri Lanka to convey to the Tamil population the significance of this passing of the resolution as a constructive move towards accountability and sustainable reconciliation.
The UNHRC has demonstrated its will to promote human rights, equality and peace, but it’s true effectiveness will be in its monitoring of the implementation of the resolution in its entirety and measurement of progress.
69% of the 47 voting countries including abstentions (8 abstentions) have not supported Sri Lanka. 78% of the 9 voting countries have supported outright in South America. 77% of the African Union countries – 10 (including 5 abstentions) out of 13 voting countries have either supported or have refused to object to this resolution being passed. Tamils are very grateful to all and will work internationally to create awareness even more.
GTF remains resolute that only an independent, international investigation will bring justice to the victim’s of war crimes and crimes against humanity, and their families. However, these important small steps can pave the way for an international mechanism towards truth, accountability and lasting peace on the island.

When GL meets clinton.. he should ask her to make a statement saying that the Lankan nation cannot be divided and will remain as one nation.. This is a very important factor to get the USA to publicly commite to a single and undivided nation.. And people will know why.. Than we shoudld follow the UNHCR res.. the carrot and stick approach.. GTF is absolutely committed to a non-violent agenda.. once these were the beast that called for blood.. Who are thye, we never supported them, They did not speak for us, we never worked with them, We never sent a single penny to them, This is what they say now about the LTTE.. But yesterday they said .. He the LTTE leader appears in our dreams, We are with them, we agree with them, They are our souls, we gave them our all, we gave them the Tamil political leadership without a vote, We loved them.. Thats what they said about the beat who wanted blood the LTTE yesterday.. Today they dont even know them… We are innocent of 3o years of terror which spilled the blood of Tamis,Sinhala, Muslim, Bugher, Malay, SL, chinese, we were never mesmerized by them.. IN EUROPE THE LEADERS HAVE STARTED A NEW TREND IN THEIR POLITICAL THINKING.. AND TO SOME DEGREE THIS SHOULD APPLY AND APPLIES TO THE SITUATION IN LANKA.. THATS THE KEY WORD..INTEGRATION.. ESPICALLY HAS FAILED IN THE NORTH…. EG: WHEN TAMILS SETTLE ALL OVER SRI LANKA AND QUITE RIGHTLEY THEY ARE EXERCISING THEIR FUNDEMENTAL RIGHTS.. BUT WHEN SINHALA, MUSLIM, BUGHER, MALAY,SL CHINESE WISH TO SETTLE IN THE NORTH THE NORTHERN POLITICIANS AND THE LTTE DIASPORA SHOUT.. THEY ARE INVADEING SOCALLED TRADITIONAL TAMIL HOME LANDS.. NOW THE SETTLEMENT OF NON TAMILS IN THE NORTH ARE A KEY AND ESSENTIAL FOR FUTURE PEACE AND SHOULD BE IN THE LLRC AND ANY RESOLUTIONS.. YET NONE OF THE LTTE SUPPORTED INT NGOS SEEM TO MENTION THIS VERY BASCI RIGHT OF OTHER CITIZENS OF LANKA WHO ARE NOT OF TAMIL ORIGIN, BUT WISH TO SETTLE IN THE NORTH.. NOW LIKE THESE WESTERN POLITICIANS ARGUE INTEGRATION.. SHOULD THAT NOT BE APPLIED TO US LANKANS..??? SO WHY THE FEAR FROM THE LTTE DIASPORA.. I CHALLENGE GOSL TO INCLUDE THIS IN PART OF THE RECONCILIATION PROCESS..THUS ENDING LTTE RACIST POLITICS FOR EVER.. THIS INTEGRATION PROGRAMME IS FAR MORE IMPORTANT THAN THOUSANE TANK BATTLES.. THIS IS THE LAST CLOSING OF THE CIVIL WAR TO INTEGRATION NON TAMILS IN THE NORTH.
Lets See how sorry they are to the Sinhala, Muslim, Malay, Bugher, citizens they waged war on.. The best remedy is to settle non-tamils in the NORTH ASAP.

What happend to Collective Tamil Guilt.. THE COLLECTIVE TAMIL GUILT OF THE LTTE DIASPORA WHICH HELP FUEL THE DESTRCUTION OF SR-LANKA AND THE MASS MURDER BY THE LTTE OF SINHALA, TAMIL, MUSLIMS, BUGHERS.. WHAT HAPPEND TO THE TAMIL COLLECTIVE GUILT OF THE DIASPORA THAT MANY TIME COULD HAVE HELD THE LTTE ACCOUNTABLE FOR ALWAYS BREAKING THE MANY PEACE NEGOTIATIONS AND SOME OOCASIONS EGGED THEM TO BREAK THE PEACE TALKS AND CALLED FOR A TOTAL WAR OF TERROR.. These are the same people who called for blood.. and said from blood will be born a new nation.. Today they have removed all signs calling for terror, glorification of suicide missions, saluting the explusion of Non tamils from the north.. saying non-tamils are inferior and should be wiped out.. and during the 2009 war ecourage the LTTE to take Civilians as human shelds as this tried and perfected method since th 80’s have worked well for them in their properganda war, And in the final days encouraged 5000 Tamils to commit mass suicide trapped by the LTTE saying that a life without the LTTE is a shame on Tamils.. those signs have all come down now.. wonder for how long???
