By Colombo Telegraph –
Defence Secretary Gotabhaya has asked the Australian government to provide details of the leader of JVP dissident group leader Premakumar Gunaratnam’s arrival in Sri Lanka.
He made this request when Australian High Commissioner in Colombo, Robyn Mudie, took up the issue of his disappearance with the government over the weekend. Defence Secretary Gotabhaya Rajapaksa told Mudie that since she had declared the missing person an Australian national, she should prove that he had arrived in Sri Lanka. Rajapaksa emphasised that as far as records pertaining to arrivals at the Bandaranaike International Airport were concerned, no Australian national carrying a passport bearing the name, Premakumar Gunaratnam, had ever come to Sri Lanka. High Commissioner Mudie has claimed that Australian authorities had received a complaint from the missing person’s wife that her husband had gone missing in Sri Lanka. The Defence Secretary has also reminded HC Mudie that the Australian High Commission had ignored a previous request from the GoSL to help establish the whereabouts of Gunaratnam, following media reports of his arrival in the country.
Meanwhile Sri Lankan High Commissioner to Australia, Thisara Samarasinghe, says his government has yet to establish whether Sydney man Kumar Gunaratnam was abducted in Colombo. Watch the ABC video below for the full interview;

It’s up to the Australian immigration to investigate such passport frauds.Or may be a new boat route has opened up between the Australian west coast and Colombo.

Gota is the person running White Van squads, it is strongly beleived.
Recently, the brother of a politician who was abducted, managed to inform him,and the latter had contacted Gota.
A telephone call was received by the abducters, and the man was freed immediately.
What more proof is necessary?
Gunaratnam had spoken to many, before the abduction. The police purposely ignore this, and have not contacted them,
There have been 65 abductions during past six months.

If only Gota asks himself as to how Kokila Gunawardene ended up in the UK and how Karuna got deported. This chap Gunaratnam also must have come the same way. The difference is the British, resort to legal methods whereas in Sri Lanka they just dissappear into thin air. How many who violates Immigration Laws on lesser issues are tried and sentenced and in this case, Gota is not even questioned by the Authorities. So much for Law and Order in this country.

Premakumara Gunarathnam and Dimuthu Artigala’s families must have called Gotabaya and Mahinda Rajapaksha soon after they were abducted as Minister Jeevan Kumaratunga’s brother Sagara Senaratne did.
Mr Sagara Senaratne is the only survivor abducted by sudu van in recent past.

Extra-judicial procedures including abductions, executions, arson targetting homes or business premises, assault and battery, grievous injury and being dumped on the wayside, kidnapping for ransom or political leverage, all indicate regression in civil society.
If this phenomenon is as prevalent as it is claimed, then all civic-minded citizens, politicians of all colours, community leaders, business leaders, religious dignitaries should co-ordinate their efforts to help reduce such incidents.
The issue should not deviate to requesting diplomatic representatives to prove a foreign national’s arrival in Sri Lanka. That is an issue for the local immigration officials to confirm with computer records.
Evidence gathered by police, statements given by neighbours of the abductee, affidavits of persons who had last interacted with the abductee, photographs, video footage etc should all be considered before concluding whether in fact the said individual was in fact present in Sri Lanka.
Thereafter it should be a matter for the police to establish if the disappearance was real or staged, and legal action taken against whoever has breached the law of the land.

Gota should ask one his own brothers Ministers if he had not met Guneratnam only a few days before.
Gota is well experienced in TPN Visa/Passport frauds.
PG is a dual citizen.
More blood in your hands Gota

Take it easy.Calm down and think in an unexcitable manner. Everything is possible in Sri Lanka. Never think that we all live under one blue yonder globally. The Sky above Sri Lanka is no more blue and it’s becoming red day by day. Tears are neither blue nor red.

What eve said and done Gota is a Liar, and he employed LTTE Pistol Gang members at the Air Port to track Tamils arriving to the island. It is a serious problem for every one for Rajapaksa or against Rajapaksa to think about all these abductions connected to Rajapaksa family. This brings very bad reputation for our country and Gota may be thinking by abducting some people he can make others silence. But it is not working as he abduct people to collect money for his own use and for his brothers use. If Gunarathnam is a Australian citizen only then he can’t do politics in SL. But if he is a duel citizens then he is able to do politics as what Gota, Basil and Dallas do in Sri Lanka being American Citizens. This clearly give some indications that Rajapaksa as the President is a very weak character and he has no control over what is happening as some of the White Vans are operated by his very good supporters to get a man release with one telephone call. This must be the Wonder they promise to Sri Lankan.

Shavendra and other officers will not be able to hide behind the story that the disturbed uneducated little Gota gave the order to kill the surrendering tigers.
These uneducated uncultured rascals will be removed by the [Edited out] not the ballot.
/
Rubert Vanderkoon / April 11, 2012
True, Gota ordered the uneducated and uncultured rascals to be eliminated for good and that’s exactly what happened. Shavendra and the lot did a damn good job. What else you expect an army officer who is duty bound to protect the country from terrorism to do when an uneducated, uncultured (as you rightly say) and ruthless terrorist runs towards you holding his pants in the air? You have to shoot them down.
