LOL…….. they did not have to hold shares in Lanka Hospitals. Their FAT pay check for services NOT rendered in itself is more than the dividents that they would have earned through shares. They also would have earned HELL of a lot via the Kidney transplant scam…where whole lot of Foreigners PAID VERY much less compared to teh charges they would have paid in the WEST..

BTW I believe Mrs Rohini is the wife of Nivard Cabral of Central Bank… ummm Birds of a feather flock together it seems… Investigate their role at Lanka Hospitals and how they used the said Business Venture to Profit Personally…

For those Rajapaksa supporters who doubt the corruption allegations against Rajapaksa family, tell me how did Gota become Chairman of Lanka Hospitals Corp.

Only MP’s are mandated to declare their interests and Gotabhaya being not an MP, he has not declared his interest and it is safe to assume he must be holding the lucrative Chairmanship of many companies but qualified to hold nothing. If Mrs. Roshini S. Cabraal is indeed the wife of Nivard Cabraal, she would have been standing in for her husband because as governor of Central Bank he may be prohibited or indeed immoral to have any interest in other enterprises.

OH btw MR amended the law for that too, making it un-necessary for people who hold dual citizenship to declare their assets, hence Basil did NOT have to do so.. Nepotism at its worst… He even amended the Exchange Control law, relaxing it making way for the siblings to take more than US $500,000 out of the country. This enabled MOST Politicians and henchmen of Jarapaksa clan to take enormous amounts of ILL-GOTTEN money and claim residency in other countries which would lead to citizenship. Bring all these crooks back to teh country via an Interpol warrant… ALl that money belongs to the country and its citizen NOT to just a few members of a family…..

Snowden Edward Asange Thanks for enlightening on the changes and given the culture of the Rajapakse clan, I am not surprised. Your idea about claiming our money back from abroad is not without precedence as the Philippine government after ousting Marcos and his wife, managed to get back the $Millions they had spirited away in Swiss and other banks.

As our brilliant defense secretary, he could have managed any company with flying colors. Look at the way he changed the city of Colombo? Just brilliant.

Any idiot could have done it with millions in borrowed funds that others have to pay back. Not one cent came out of a Rajapakse pocket but we, and our future generations (who knows how many), are going to be in debt due to these massive extravagances.
Beautify, by all means, if the country is generating the funds to re-pay. If not, “Cut your coat according to your cloth.”

What a stupid reply…. You wanted Gota to put funds out of his own pocket? DOn’t be jealous. He most importantly purged Tamil Tiger Terrorism in no uncertain way for which we are eternally grateful… and this CT critics eternally upset and frustrated,,, LOL

If justice is served, Gota will have plenty of time to think about how he engineered the end of the war, ordered the murder of Lasantha Wickrematunge and the disappearance of countless other journalists and critics of his murderous and corrupt government, and so on. Being imprisoned creates lots of time for thinking about past glories…and future confinement.

The point is when you have other people’s money to play with, it isn’t hard to build stuff.

SL infrastructure projects as usual would have featured massive corruption with Rajapaksas taking a cut or benefiting by other means . So don’t for a minute think he was doing anyone a favor.

Roshini Cabraal is Dhara Wijethilake’s sister. Dhara is a Permanent Secretary and also in the director Board of Sampath Bank and other such ventures. Dhara was appointed by Mahinda Rajapakse to many commissions and always had biased reporting. This shows how corrupt the Public service is now.

This is only a small transaction but there may be many other all of which would have to be investigated and exposed to the public.

There has to be a massive investigations to all the ill-gotten gain these thugs accumulated in the past 10 years on the backs of the citizenry of SL. A special commission to be headed by people such as justice Weeramantry and the appointment of an independent multinational accounting firm to to do forensic accounting and report to the panel would be the best option. Mind you it will take time but with patients and unbiased investigation justice could prevail.

I agree. To complete these massive frauds of this gigantic magnitude 3 months is insufficient. Both the new PM and President are soft and may not push these inquiries hard, but we are waiting. However, in no way should nominations ever be given from any party to any notorious characters.

Only one has signed. How can the signed one tender the resignation for the other?

What is their legal relationship to sign for each other?

It’s not recoket science, they would have had frontmen to HD
    to hold their shares.

LHL is owned by SLIC and in turn SLIC is owned by Finance Ministry. Minority portion is held by the public and a strategic Indian investor specialising in medical labs.

Please don’t make false accusations without knowing facts. None of the directors own shares.
