It seems the Public Distribution and Economic Reforms Minister, Harsha de Silva has a hidden talent. Publishing a rather interesting tweet last evening on Indian PM Modi’s visit, he flaunted his skills just to be mocked by fellow tweeps.
Tweeting images of PM Wickremesinghe welcoming PM Modi, Harsha said their ‘body language suggests trust and affection between PM Modi and PM Wickremesinghe. He went on to note PM Modi must be regretting that indian intelligence warnings about the Easter Sunday attacks did not reach PM Wickremesinghe before April 21, 2019.
However, intelligence officers who testified before the Parliamentary Select Committee probing Easter attacks noted, they are not aware of which country shared the intelligence information about the impending attacks, to this day and that they too heard of it, only via media.
The Minister, who is also quite an active tweep – at times even being heavily critical of the policies imposed by his own government – fell victim to his own words when fellow tweeps began poking fun at him, dubbing him a ‘body language expert’ for his tweet last evening.
