11 persons, including six Buddhist monks were granted bail by the Homagama Magistrate today. They were arrested for protesting outside the court complex over the arrest of Bodu Bala Sena General Secretary Galagoda Atte Gnanasara over contempt of court and for threatening Sandya Ekneligoda.
Accordingly they were released on a personal bail of Rs. 500,000.
The monks who were granted bail today were; Secretary of the Ravana Balaya, Ittekande Saddhatissa Thero, President of the Sinhala Ravaya, Akmeemana Dayarathana Thero, Biyagama Suseema Thero, Pitigala Dhamma Vineetha Thero, Matuwagala Dhammasiri and Kirama Devinda Thero.
