How Did Navy Grant Three Months Leave To Yoshitha? JVP

The JVP had criticized the government and the Sri Lanka Navy for allowing Rajapaksa prince ‘Yoshitha‘ to leave the country while an investigation is ongoing against him.

During a press conference held today, JVP MP Wijitha Herath had said it is unfortunate that the state pf special privileges given to the Rajapaksa ‘prince’ during the previous regime has not changed.

“We have lodged a complaint against the special privileges granted to Yoshitha Rajapaksa in his capacity as a Navy official and an investigation is continuing into the complaint we made. However, the Navy has granted him three months leave and he has not even been summoned by the committee inquiring into the allegations we have made,” he told the media.

The MP had also expressed his dissatisfaction over the slow pace of investigations launched into LTTE leader KP.

Yes- Who approved Yoshitha’s leave. I think JVP is the best organisation to ask questions as they are not in the “government” It is easy to criticize when you are not in, Were they party to the election slogan of 100 days agenda. Is it practical to address all issues of corruption within 100 days. How many files to examine and when the case is taken up it should be fool proof. JVP also should have a strategy to get this work done within the existing AG’s Department and Police. They cannot only criticize and be a part of the blaming game. If they want things done they also must contribute to strategic planning as to how to get it done. We know how inefficient AG’s Department and how long it takes even a child abuse case to be filed. When actions are filed it must be fool proof. Please ADK, I think you can also give the government a viable plan.

What is wrong in the query from JVP? What has Navy granting leave to Yositha for 3 months got to do with 100 days programme. It is a fact the Navy has initiated inquiry on Yositha’s misdeeds and how can Navy grant him 3 months leave whilst investigations are on. The Defency Ministry should initiate action against those responsible for this action.

ADK is absolutley correct but as a responsible person he should go further on this. He should write official letters to the navy or to those who are in authority. He must push for action. What i am saying he cannot simply state things or take the files to the bribery and end it there. There are bills to be paid by Kehiliya or any one else for that matter, JVP should make the authorities write to Kehiliya on that,
The Public service has to be pushed to work and most of the high officers are with them, something more has to be done other than talking

JVP must ensure that the defence ministry takes action, As member of the public, I cannot do this but as the people who brought this govt into power. They should do this

UNP is dragging its feet for sure. There is little doubt they are playing a double game.

How else could “Yo Baba” leave? How come “Namal Baba” has not been questioned yet about his baby elephants at least?

Rather than going after Hambantota Clan with a vengence, lethargic UNP has appointed corrupt John as law and order Minister. He is delivering by “shaping” serious crimes of the previous regime.

As expected they will betray the people this time around too. Just like CBK did in 1994.

We will make marginal progress, but not the revolution we expected.

It really is time to rescue Sri Lanka from the corrupt, suffocating grip of both SLFP & UNP.

      Cheers!

Wimal weerawanse questioned as to why the govt is not taking action against Namal about lamboginies or against his wife for the forged passport. This would be election platform. Govt including the JVP should not only expose but take action,
Photos of cars being exported in the Sri Lankan airlines were in the internet. Sujiva Serasinge had posted these photos. Why cannot action be taken.

Ranil is showing SOFTCORE to Mahinda and Co. while the people and JVP wanted to show HARDCORE films to them. The new Prime Minister is working hard to hold the position not to give a lesson to the past corrupts.

Yes! Yes! Yes! Favor to Favor equally well. You scratch my back, I scratch yours. Now the legitimate question is has Mahinda helped very much in the past and if so how? Some give an answer with a hint, that is “Batalanda”. Frankly I do not know how to solve the riddle.

Yes, it is very surprising as yo how Navy granted leave to Yositha whilst an inquiry was in motion. Was it favouritism due he is MR’s son? Why can’t Defence Ministry inquire into this? When the persons responsible in the Navy granted leave would have been for a number of days and could not have been indefinite leave.

I wonder why this maha kalu sinhalayaa has furnished his home as a British home, no doubt all imported and transported free of charge by Sri Lankan airlines. Looks like as if he is critical of foreigners cultures but secretly he is indulging in the same culture that he is critical about. Hypocrits!

The officers of the CID had been allegedly halted from taking Duminda into custody because of Amaratunge’s conduct , abuse of ministerial functions and illegal orders given to the police. The presidential secretariat is to conduct a special investigation into the dastardly and disgraceful conduct of minister Amaratunge in the wake of shocking information received by the president .

WHEN DO OUR STUPID SRI LANKAN MOTHER FKRS GOING TO REALIZE THAT WE NEED LAW AND ORDER IN THE COUNTRY. Put everyone in JAIL who distrubs the law and order. Create tranparancy in all deprtments even the salaries and the expenditure of ministers. TRANPARANCY will avoid stealing. Everything should be trranparent when it comec to government becuase you jak asses are paid by our tax payer money.IF you dont like tranparancy dont be in the governmnet you damn thugs and thieves.

If there is any evidence implicating John A then he must be charged and held responsible. Otherwise we will be back to where we started

You need to understand that Yaha Palanaya is applied selectively.

Ranil will apply on a selective and targeted basis just like the newly imposed taxes from the interm budget.

Obvious! MR had a soft corner for Ranil! Why not reciprocate? All these political catchers have skeletons in the cupboards! They scratch each other’s backs! I mean ‘backs’!!!

As per the regulations in force for the tri services, an officer is only entitled for 56 days of overseas leave for every 5 years. Therefore, the natural question comes to the fore, as to how did Yoshitha get himself a period of 90 days (3 months) leave to spend overseas.

How did the diplomats appointed by the last government rush to help the elections abandoning their code of ethics in the public servive. I am so glad we have Ranil and Serisena to bring back an independent public service. The SLFP before broke many rules to destroy the independence of the services its time not to let those discredited in their countries of domicle be used to represent Sri Lanka.

Attention: Are we really ‘complete idiots” or are we “completely stupid”. We took time to exercise our franchise and ‘vote for change’. I hear the statement “give them time”… yes, agree when it comes to serious matters such as constitutional changes etc. But if they cant stop a former 1st family leave the country (if needed be) and cant catch a ex minister wife who has proven and blatantly abused power …. Aiyo Sirisena!!! What the hell? A grade 10 kid would be better.

Time to invoke the blessing of the 3ple Gem GOD SAVE OUR COUNTRY. I for the 1st time ever agree with Champaka. I am feed up, they must be ashamed.

Problem here is with the Secretary defense. The newly appointed (bassa) Basnayake the day he took over duties his first comments to the media was that “he got the blessings of the former defense secretary to take over this chair”. This bassa did not even thank his excellency Maithreepala for appointing him instead praised looser Gota. So JVP should first attack this henchman Bassa and rest of the incapable civil servants who heads the ministries…

Now we know why this guy went off to Dubhai. He declared that it was to attend to a health matter. Ofc,now we what was ailing him. There was some news about a politicians black money account, some 640 Million US Dollars been transferred from a Dubhai bank to a bank in Russia. The story says, that the politician has transferred Powers of Attorney to a relative, who then went off to Dubhai with two lawyers, about two weeks ago, to undertake the transaction. Could it be this young trickster who was in the centre of this news. Was the account originally belonged to his dad or one of his uncles. It also make sense because Russia is under US economic sanctions these days, and they looking for opportunities to secure much needed foreign hard cash, especially US Dollars. Manna from heaven for the Russians.

You all are wittering idiots. Accusations and speculations by media can’t prove anything. Proper procedure must be followed, otherwise it is jungle law. At the moment it looks like that. Open season for accusations by curtsey of Yahoo-palanaya!!

Who gave JVP police powers? Look back at the bloodbath that JVP caused. Giving 3 months leave is no crime. Sacrificing innocent lives that JVP did was a ghastly crime.
