How Did Sajith Premadasa Amass So Much Wealth? Petition Seeks To Clarify

A petition against Minister of Housing and Construction and MP of Hambantota Sajith Premadasa‘s accumulated wealth has been finalized to be submitted for investigation by the Commission to Investigate Allegations of Bribery or Corruption (CIABOC).

Sajith Premadasa

Sajith Premadasa

Minister Sajith Premadasa’s recent spending habits and doling of massive amounts in cash donations to temples has raised suspicion as to how he had accumulated such wealth despite being a mere politician. The petition is also been made to investigate those that may gifted monies to Minister Sajith Premadasa over the years.

According to public knowledge his father the late President Ranasinghe Premadasa was a career politician who did not amass wealth prior to his murder on the 1st of May 1993 .

Before entering into politics the former President’s only business dealings were to have sold a traditional sweetmeat as a street vendor called lavaria during his youthful days.

A group of lawyers, retired politicians and concerned citizens have now convened to compile a dossier of information pertaining to the mass of wealth acquired by the current Housing and Construction Minister Sajith Premadasa and will be submitted to the Bribery Commission for investigation shortly.

It is still to be established if these monies now lavishly been spent are black monies that belonged to his late father or if they are the ill gotten wealth that Minister Sajth Premadasa has acquired since entering into politics in 1994.

Colombo Telegraph reliably learns that there are many other petitions currently being compiled for submission regarding other politicians currently in service.

A spokesman for the collective said that they were awaiting the application of the Right To Information bill, in order to further pursue their investigation. “We are waiting till it properly gets underway so that it would be mandated by law to provide the public with how this man found so much money to doll out,” he said. The late Premadasa was corrupt as minister of local govt he got Navaloka mudalali to build a house at the late Dudley Senanayakes property as a kick back for all the contracts he got This was the beginning of the meteorite rise of Nawaloka mudalali and this is what Jayantha D. told me as a boy of fourteen at school.

Premadasa is a liar and a thief.

He lied that he had a BA degree from London School of Economics when he failed in the first year!

Majority of UNP and SLFP politicians are corrupt to the core. and the longer they have been in politics the more corrupt and rich they are!

        Oh Dear or dear Analyst
You know it’ll never work trying to use the long arm of the justice in Sri Lanka. remember MR and his clan still free and having a time of their life on ill gotten loot. So many promised to teach MR and his clan a lesson one went as far as promising to take him to WCJ in Haig.

        Analyst

Majority of all the Sri Lankan politicians of all colors are rouges and thieves – they spent lavishly during the election time to get elected – after getting elected they appoint the second /third levels of rouges and crooks known to them or their kith and kin into Ministry administration hierarchy – after that robbing starts – it is just a story of you scratch my back I scratch your back – Before Yahapalanaya most of the people thought they were God appointed saviors to save this country from its depth – and were day dreaming about a clean ,civilized, uncorrupted, administration and all the former robbers will be behind bars for their sins and money they apparently had robbed will be recovered swiftly – now we know that it is the same wine in a different color bottle – how long are we going to continue this way — I do not see a future for this country – we will keep on day dreaming and venting our anger through social media when we see our dreams are being dashed on the ground – Even if we select JVP as an alternative force – thing will not be different – We certainly need a man like Lee of Singapore – democratically looking Dictator

Not to mention the Maharajas. If I am not mistaken, Killie Rajamahendran still backs Premadasa jnr. Mrs P also knew how earn easy money. Of course all this is eclipsed by the Rajapakse dynasty but that doesn’t mean past corruption should be swept under the carpet. Until all these crooks are at least named & shamed, corruption in SL will grow exponentially.

    Most people know it.

But, that when you ask for fair justice, there won’t be paper trails to cath them.

Amazing thing is people vote them again to expand their bank account and wealth.

It is Mahinda Rajapakse, out of frustration revealed that His sistor brought 2 million or so fake notes to the Cinnamon gurdon Bank branch to deposit. that is another way.

RP used to braing container loads when visited overseas. Those trips with his henchmen were to travel all over the world.

“Amazing thing is people vote them again to expand their bank account and wealth.”

It is what we know as tribalism and feudal mentality.

Both won’t let you develop the country into a modern liberal secular state. You should be ashamed of yourself for being the proponent of both, tribalism and feudal mentality.

Looks like Rajapaksa’s are loosing their grip in Hambantota area and have fired the first salvo.

Having said that it is clear that most politicians in Sri Lanka are corrupt to the hilt and only interested in stealing from the tax payer. They justify such actions by saying they need money for the next election.

The only recent political leaders who didn’t make money are probably Dudley, Sirima B and JRJ. Its a waste of time discussing MR and the clan as well as the present lot with COPE etç.

Even the most honest of the present lot President Sirisena recently told that he spent a very large sum for the 2010 election and couldn’t say how he made the money.

We take it for gtanted that politicians can send their children for overseas education. Ranil W recently mentioned that MPs in SL are poor and dont receive a proper salary. How is it that such poor MPs send their children overseàs.

Most of these politicians are a set of people WHO WERE NEVER EMPLOYED DURING THEIR ENTIRE LIVES AND CONSIDER THEMSELVES AND THEIR KITH AND KIN BORN TO RULE THE COUNTRY AND ALLOWED TO STEAL FROM TAXPAYERS.

Until and unless people realise this situation and make a determined effort to ELECT HONEST POLITICIANS the country will never develop. This is the reality.

This exactly the way our rulers ruled our countries prior to the colonials stepped in.They developed the country and it is the infrastructure they created is still be enjoyed by us while our thieving politicians are trying to put the clock back to dark ages.
Our past rules only cared about themselves and made every one slaves. Similar situation is emerging in the third world. This is what many people from the third world are saying and I have the privilege to meet them daily.
These people who come from the third world as visitors are stunned by the civility and orderly lifestyle in London and UK as a whole. They want to bring UK to their countries though it is a struggle with their corrupt politicns ruling the roost. This is why UK is a such an attraction but we too could achieve the same if people demand it from our leaders.

Great. I believe he will declare his assets, else, he would not have held the kind of speeches. Earlier at the time, UNP was at its chaos, I felt that Sajith was not matured enough. But studying th emanner he has been making every efforts to do lot more work for thepoor, moves anyone. If he would declare his assets, all other idiots that gathered that much of wealth during the last 10 years will have to prove not just by big talks the way former sports minister Aluthgamage does, but in a constructive and acceptable manner.

Colombo Elite Anglicans , Vellala and the Muslims with fat wallets , even in their hey day were no match for the Senior, although the.Senior only graduated from the Keselwatta govt School, with the little money the parents made selling Lavaria to old inhabitants of Dumonda and late Preme,s electorates.

Keselwatta Kid in contrast couldn,t get anywhere near the Elites and the Anglicans even after dear old papa sent him to University of London to read Economics and Politics.

The kid even couldn,t get a gig in the old man,s own Turf.

As The. Elite ,Anglican leader banished the Kid to Hambantot, hoping the Lions would finishm minim off.

Thanks to the great betrayer of. pathetic Dalits and Sinhal Buddhists, Keselwatta.Kid Got a new lease life..

And the Kid should , be grateful to the old mama and papa for leaving him a decent last will with all that cash to buy the poor Dalits in Hambantota and make them vote for Batalanda Ranil,s UNP.

.Wonder whether the. Current leader of the the UNP and his cohorts have a hand in this?..

      KAS KAS,

      You Fool,

Can you imagine ,if Keselwaththa Senior sold 500 Lavaria pre day,
      for 365 days,
      182500 pcs *0.50 cents= 91250 Rs in those days,
as per present day value 9125000.
      may be for 35 years.
      around 31,9375000.

May be keselwaththa kid donating that money for the merits remembarance of Keselwaththa Senior the big dada.

      So do not be jealousy,
and why don’t you start making delivery of LAVARIYA in your domicile Oz land.

A few years ago Sajith at a UMP top committee meeting suggested a new form of governance. He wanted to restructure the state into a Bhumiputra system of governance. He is the man for your Dalits. Yet you complain.

A few years ago the war monger Dayan suggested UMP elected Sajith as the leader of the party.

What wrong with all your political brats, including Namal, Yogitha, Dhaham, Malaka, ..? Who did give them the idea that they are the hereditary MPs of their area?

Did you know only the corrupt, stupids, criminals, nepotists, criminals, saffron-clad thugs … want to practice politics as their vocation?

It looks like Dayan Jayatilleke is part of this group compiling the pettition.

He was using Sajith’s name to divide the UNP so that MaRa and co could stay in power.

For DJ’s disppointment majority of the citizens became smarter and made MS to win on 5th Jan 2015.

Now DJ has another chance. For quie some time now DJ has not been critical about MS. Why ? May be he sees a chance where MS can be made to support a MaRa come back .

DJ does not care where MS goes 6 foot under.

Luckily the people decided to vote for the puppet of the colombo elites and now the economic growth is a pathetic 2% and exports have come down by 5%. Next will be privatization of education and health services. Luck of the elites not the common people.

    A GOOD MOVE.

Minister Sajith Premadasa is a respected politician with no previous blackmarks or blemishes in his past.

He is regarded as a future leader of our Nation, and hence it would be better for him and the people of this country if he could bare the facts and come out unscathed form such an investigation.

He owes it to the people because he did nothing but politics since he was a toddler.

Ha ha this reminded me of Hitler who after successfully invading France and chasing away British, decided to throw away the treaty he had with Russia and invade it because Russia was anyway ruled by minority jews at the time. You see French wasn’t the real enemy but the world wide jews were.

Ranil who surprisingly defeated Rajapakshe is turning his guns towards his real enemy now, the man from slums who dared to challenge his leadership. Interesting times indeed.

Simple formula. If the group of “lawyers” are the likes of Lal wijenayaka, JC waliamuna or those who are connected with International NGOs in general its Ranil and Malik who are behind this. If not it could be genuine Sri Lankans who don’t want a nose-dive under this incompetent thick headed traitor.

The corruption that we saw in the last regime and now in yahapaya (bond scam) started in 1977 on JR’s watch, his first act on election was to pardon and release Thahar and Mukthar who were convicted smugglers and forex violators, he then removed wealth tax and with it wealth declaration, that was the start of creating a system for corruption. One will have to go back the powerful ministers of the JR era and ask the same question of Gamini Dissanayake, Lalith Athlathmudali, and all those powerful ministers under Premadasa, CBK, MR and his family etc etc. The current government keeps releasing news headlines of corruption investigations and crime investigations but sadly unless their is revolution where a totally new leadership takes over nothing will happen. Ranil has learnt all the tricks of the trade as a minister since 1977 and will continue to make us believe that these investigations are real but they are just another soap opera.

Not only Ranasiaghe Premadadsa ,what about Gaminie Dissnayake and Lalthi Athlaimidali of leading personalities of UNP -JRJ regime has given an opportunities earn million Rupees by corrupted means since 1977 to 1994 the UNP regime.

That is the real colour of UNP, that is how UNP’s politics works in power of Democracy several years since 1977. Indeed Sujith Premadasa is one of their products of that lot.

The Old UNP leaders has an open avenues for their children to become Rich politicians and pave way for political power after their death.

In fact Current majority UNP leadership has build up their political Empire to by Rule the Peoples of Sri Lankan by “good governances” of UNP line of politics capitalization of wealth by new ethical code of “rule of law”.

Sajith Premadadsa has amasses wealth by late Ransinghe’s power of Presidency.
The Father made foundation for their children future.
They are political dealers back by S.Premaddas’s Sister, Brother-in Law and Father in law of Sister that wealth has gone to oversees during Ranaisgnhe P….was in power .

Family of R.Premadasa that Amount of wealth are unaccountable to
Sri lanakn Territory, that is gone beyond internal limitations that jump rule of that Exchanges Control Law of Land.

The profit and wealth of Sajith P….are in Excess capacity which are Free from profit of duty ,profit of levy and profit of tax by Father power State that released on Duty Free from power of ex-President by the theory of Equimarginal Principles.

This is how UNP democracy works on under Ranil W… is New way of looting Public funds are accepts by ongoing “democracy” has granted permission by UNP New “Rule of Law” not come under previews of current FCID is he or she members of Current regime in power.

What ever reasons UNP Sajith R… is Deputy Leader of similar to Deputy Premier of “Good Governances” ,he is not subject to prosecution by Attorney General Department under Ranil W… regime.

This is not hot news,as a young guy then I remember very well what This boys father did as the president of the country. This is an old model, but now lots of new models are available in the market to steal and rob from the masses and we all know it and have seen it.I have seen this junior Premadasa used to behave in Yala driving with PSD,this country knows you people so well. I mean all of you Politicians.I must remind the readers how Premadasa misused the National carrier Air Lanka, the Tristar flew to Fukuoka just to carry his family orchids, the business is still flourishing run by a family member. People were upgraded just for mentioning the name “Premadasa”. Let’s cut this Petty bullshit story short. This country will not change it has never changed,Dumb people will buy all this stories and the evil lot will keep fooling and stealing. We come from this small city where what you do in the morning, where and with whom is out in the open in the evening at every gathering. So much talk of restructuring Air Lanka or Sri Lankan, but it will not change. The vultures are still there, out to get their pound of flesh within the system.Today it’s a new model,in the past it was old.Today more and more people are aware of what is going on with free media and through hand held devices used in every corner.Blue,Green or any color they play the same game.Nothing will change Sri Lankan Airlines or the port,CTB,Rupavahini or any Govt.establishment.The Private sector gets their businesses prosper by using these political thief’s to scavenge the little what this nation has. So live this life in a bigger, poor nation, while even Maldives is becoming more powerful economically than us.

Hasn’t the boy done well? Certainly by Sri Lankan political standards. Well, our local custom and tradition goes back a long way. Suck up to the old kings. Suck up to the old colonial master. Keep the restless natives under control, and be rewarded by Maha Mudliyar plus dosh and a nice walauwa, and if the sprog is smart and knows how to behave at table, we’ll send him to Oxford. These days too, the PM/President reward their sycophants, their sycophants reward the local temples (MUST guarantee the Bauddha-Sinhala vote !!!) and that way, ultimately, the common man is well and truly screwed with his own national legacy.

The Lavariya President did not die a pauper. The zero-to-hero President left behind a big pile of fresh lavariya, and Mill Hill putha invested the Lavariya proceeds well, and is now getting PanniAapa dividends. Nice, no! Mill Hill Putha didn’t do economics at LSE for nothing, ah! (That’s the rumour!)

NOW, everyone of you out there in the know knows that Lord Batalanda is drinking in the Last Chance Saloon. Smart Boy! Mill Hill Putha is preparing for that day when Lord Batalanda rides off into the sunset leaving the latest lot of ‘Uncles and Nephews’ to fight it out for the crown (or should I say poisoned chalice?).

Anyway, good people, a politicians getting rich is old hat. In the east we have a saying ‘when the spoon is in your hand serve yourself well’. Our politicians do that well. Some will see “too well”.

The story is credible but most likely a very clever sinister move deployed by Ranil Wickramasinghe. Well my dear fellows we should and must be conscious about corrupt practices of every politician of Sri Lanka. Ranil must not be spared either. Contrary to the the claim (Mr. Clean) made by Ranil and his cohorts, it seems Ranil Wickramasinghe is not clean either. His family was wealthy but not SUPER RICH to begin with, how did he accumulate so much wealth within a very short time span (1977 to 2016). Central Bank’s bond scam seems to be the tip of the iceberg. If “What is good for the goose is good for the gander”. It is high time that authorities investigate Ranil Wickramasinghe and others claim to be honest. But on the other hand; Don’t worry that day will never come.
