I Am A Sri Lankan Muslim Extremist!

By Muhammed Fazl

Muhammed Fazl

Muhammed Fazl

I am a Sri Lankan national by birth, a Muslim by faith and an extremist who would go all the way (to the extremes) to protect humanity, to uphold unity, to establish justice and rule of law, to protect all religions, their adherents and their places of worship etc…

Now with LTTE defunct, racist forces backed by the power hungry ruling class have created this myth of ‘Islamic extremism’ TO DIVERT ATTENTION from the theft of multi-milllion dollars of public money and the abuse of the judiciary among others, and all for the sole purpose of prolonging their hold on power and for enriching themselves with wealth that will last for 10’s of generations of the current President of Sri Lanka, Mr. Mahinda Rajapaksa.

Like the West’s creation of a non-existent enemy and their subsequent creation of a ‘war on terror’ (for oil and many other reasons), Mr. Rajapaksa too has created a similar ‘monster’ (non-existent) in the eyes of the ignorant population of SL and naming it as ‘Muslim extremism‘! History has taught us that rulers rely on monks/priests for legitimacy while monks/priests rely on rulers for protection/sustenance! And knowing very well the mentality of the majority of the population, President Rajapaksa cunningly began using proxies such as BBS, Hela Urumaya and Ravana Balaya to create a diversion of attention from the most pressing issues faced by the poor masses every day, like poverty, graft, abuse and injustice among others.

Due to President Mahinda Rajapksa’s indirect and his proxy’s active instilment of fear and insecurity among the ‘not-so-educated’ majority of the Sinhala Buddhist population about an ‘imminent occupation’ of their motherland by ‘foreigner community’ of Hindus. Christians and Muslims (especially), it has become a greater issue ‘to be dealt with’ than bringing a hot plate of food for their deserving family and children, metaphorically that is!

Hence, instead of blind followers of racist ideologies victimizing innocent minority communities in entirety over non-existent fears/enemies, I, Muhammed Fazl, the shape and sound of this ‘Sri Lankan Muslim extremist’, urge and challenge the backbone-less and mostly corrupt law enforcement officials, racist elements cloaked in saffron-colored robes and their ruling class masters to put me on trial for ‘threats of extremism’ the country ‘faces’ in any ‘compromised’ court of law or otherwise!

While exposing the intentions of the MR government of their involvement and complicity in orchestrating a possible racial riot or communal disharmony should be important, prioritizing it among other issues would only make the opposition ‘play into the hands’ of the government. If it is to happen, let few mosques, churches and businesses of minorities burn and few lives may be lost too. But focusing on overthrowing the current despotic regime by all means, it will most certainly save this country from the ‘flames of extinction’!

As for justifying ‘’Muslim extremist’ credentials, it is all about going to all legal extremes to unite the masses, expose corruption, fight injustices, punish the perpetrators of crime and to open up new vistas for the development of this country, irrespective of race or religion! Make no mistake, for one need not be in power to bring about a change and if every right thinking citizen of this country contributes their share, well, ‘power of the people’ will indeed be a force to be reckoned with!

“As long as you are not a Religious Extremist I am with you 110% to destroy the Buddhist extemist and the Criminal Mahintha and his clan.”

Being a supporter of the psychopath you continue to instigate destruction, the only path known to VP.

Destruction is not the path towards peace. Mere thought itself will destroy you as a person.

Liberate Buddha’s teaching from Sinhala/Buddhists which hopefully will “destroy” saffron clad thugs’ very existence.

In other words you better ordain yourself as a monk and keep spreading Buddha’s teaching in its pristine form.

You could use Kalabhras Kaundinya Thero as your ordination name.

        Vedda,
Your quoted ‘teaching from Sinhala/Buddhists’ is not even a child’s play when compared to what they teach in Muslim maddrasses.

You’re playing ‘taqiyya and kitman’ very nicely, just the way Muhammad wanted and as explained in Hadith otherwise you’re doomed in New York.

Wonder why you choose to live all those 5 years in the very country whose foreign policy and finances are dominated by Jews and are the most hostile to Muslims next to Israel. Why haven’t you left NY and lived in lets say – Yemen or Saudi Arabia? Islamic countries which do not use religion as a political weapon like in Sri Lanka? Those 5 years in the USA must have been a hell for you.

Fazl, if you have the means to do so, will you send your children to a Muslim country or to a Western country for higher studies?

There are Jihad groups in eastern SL and in Colombo according to latest RAW reports.

The Chennai train bomber is a Srilankan Muslim.

Govt has to look into them and get rid of them before BBS.

Last Friday one Johandist came to fight with me near the Wellawatte mosque. People over powered him.

Sri Lanka Had an ISI Hand in Chennai Bomb Blast?

      Salem-News.com
Tamil Nadu has been targeted by ISI backed by Sri Lanka since Chief Minister Jayalalithaa is against the present regime of the island nation.

(CHENNAI TruthDive) – Sri Lanka-based links to two suspects with ISI background nabbed by Tamil Nadu police in connection with bomb blasts in Chennai railway station has opened a new revelation to intelligence agencies.

Sources said that a person who was found hiding in the train even two hours after the bomb blast was of Sri Lankan origin. Further interrogation showed that he had links with ISI agent Jafar caught on April 29 by the police. The ISI agent had entered Tamil Nadu through Sri Lankan route.

Geo-politically Sri Lanka is said to be patronized by China, the super power in Asia and traditionally close to Pakistan. To offset this, the Indian government has been soft on Sri Lanka and recent issue being its stance on UN resolution backed by US. The link between the ISI agent coming in from Sri Lanka and the man caught on the train shows that a conduit route through island routes has been drawn up.

Tamil Nadu has been targeted by ISI backed by Sri Lanka since Chief Minister Jayalalithaa is against the present regime of the island nation. With Jayalalithaa set to play a major role in the formation of a union ministry of any national party coming to power according to poll analysis, Sri Lanka feels threatened that India could raise international arbitration of Katchatheevu island under pressure from her.

Sources in State intelligence say that the game plan is to create terror attacks in the State and discredit Jayalalithaa and that she loses coming Assembly polls. Sri Lanka is comfortable with DMK who keeps changing sides.

Many terror outfits in Tamil Nadu are to be funded by ISI and the nabbed man was carrying fake currency notes which are given to operators and printed in Chinese press. The Sri Lanka connection with ISI has put the State agency on the alert as if Jaya does not have the clout with a possible BJP-led NDA.

The terror attacks could increase and DMDK-led BJP front could make inroads on law and order situation. All opposition parties have termed Chennai bomb blast as failure of the State police.

    Muhammed Fazl,

Appreciate your courage and boldness. The only other person who had the same courage was Ms Sharmini Serasinghe. It is a disgrace to all those who practice Buddhism when some saffron robed Cheevaradharis start calling them Hamuduruwo and go on rampage attacking other religions totally insulting the Buddha and his true followers. Unfortunately, there isn’t a disciplinary action council under the ministry of Buddha Sasana to take action against the Hamuduruwo who violate the Buddhist Vinaya (disciplinary code).

Even though Hamuduruwo has become corrupt as they ever can be, and have shown no adherence to the ethics of their own religion, still our people respect them and I would say not only the people but even the politicians are afraid of them. At the same time the corrupt politicians take advantage by using them.

In the case of Cheevaradhari Mr. Galaboda Ganasara, he has a problem common to many in the contemporary society. Unlike many others Cheevaradhari Galaboda gets the best food from his sponsors every day. All these add more and more CALORIES. Unfortunately like the rest of us Mr. Galaboda cannot go to a gym. He cannot jog in the roads too. (Imagine Mr. Galaboda wearing a saffron coloured track suit and running in Galleface). In order to reduce his calories his sponsors has allowed him to go on a rampage like a wild elephant and attack the minorities to keep the sponsors in power.

Hello Fazl, fine guys you Muslims are! When you live in countries where Muslims are the majority, you butcher each other in sectarian violence between Sunnis, Shias like in Irak, Syria, Afghanistan and mum’s the word. And then you guys find ridiculous excuses that non Muslims are the cause for your evils. When you live as a minority in a democracy wher one has to respect the right of others opinion, you‘ve found it your holy right to impose your medieval primitive faith on them and call for sharia law in Europe and elsewhere. No wonder Muslims of today are not only in a conflict with themselves, but with the rest of the world.

Have we haerd from you or your like, a word against the oppression of Muslim women? No! Fight first against your oppressive ideologies against your own women? No! Why are Muslim women reduced to a roll of child bearing, child raising and domestic chores? First address those issues. Talk to your brethren first. Tell them it is wrong to force them to dress like in the desert 1400 years ago and expect your sisters and daughters to live by the standards of desert nomads. Tell them that the world will not tolerate half of its population condemned to primitive primates. We need intelligent productive women in the 21st century.

As long as Muslims stick to their out dated ridiculous ideologies and insist that the Qauran is the truth and the only truth and there is no other God other than Allah, Islam will be seen as a threat by all other religions and will be dealt accordingly. There will be more anti Islam movements like in Sri Lanka, Myanmar, Japan, France, Holland and in Scandinavia. Take it from me, an old Christian Lebanese woman. I’ve seen the destruction your religion has caused to my wonderful country and to itself too.

      Helllo Ma’am,

Butchering each other is beyond my understanding, be it in the Arabia, Africa or elsewhere. Being not so sure if you have a problem with me, with the religion or with over 1.5 billion of Muslims, let me just tell you about the situation here in Sri Lanka.

The Muslims of Sri Lanka and who are citizens with equal rights and right to practice their religion is never a problem to the right thinking non-Muslims of SL or to the non-Muslim religious lot. Due to an inbred or cultivated hatred or jealousy for the Muslims, I seriously don’t think Muslims should act contrary to their religion or refrain from performing the worship or even abrogate their rights enshrined in the constitution. Especially when their is nothing illegal about their practice.

The same way yo would not tolerate your husband should he be a sadist or an abusive kind(though you married him), I believe Muslims should not be at the receiving end, for weaknesses of someone else!

The title of this article is NOT about addressing ‘abuse of women’ and i sure would appreciate you NOT telling me what I should address ‘first’. With all due respect, when you mix up issues, core problems gets sidelined. Being the elderly Christian cousin you are, I would certainly address your concerns in another article, God willing.

Also, it would only reflect on you in a not-so-nice way, when you criticize other religious scriptures or their adherents… for I have NOT done that.

Threats to Islam was at its peak during the time of the Prophet of Islam and it had managed to survive and flourish too with almost one in three subscribing to the divine revelations. This article is not about Islam or its greatness, it is about a dictatorship in my country and how rulers in this part of the world uses religion to achieve their goals.

With all my heart and deep down, I regret the destruction of your country and that which could have been another ‘Paris’ in the Mid East. I sure wish warring factions resolve their differences and unity prevails in Labanon. God bless.

      Miriam,
Leave out Fazl, no Muslim man can ever take a fight against ‘oppressive ideologies against their women’ for Quran, which they believe is the word Allah insists that women are not equal to men. What more to say if Sura 4:43 says; “Muslims, draw not near unto prayer…(if) ye have touched women…then go to high clean soil and rub your face and your hands.”

The author if this article should first praise the leadership that he is still alive even after criticising the country he lives in. Had he been abuddhist lived in Saudi we won’t even get to see his face body attached to his body for doing so. Me should remember this. Islam n muslim is not just a threat for Sri Lanka. But to the while nation. Islam is dying. Not growing. People are living in fear since left islam. Women r oppressed. May be he should question his own beliefs before trying to correct a country n it’s rulers. He should thank the leadership at least he can get home in one piece to see his family. If you would
Like to I’m asking you to go back in history n see where all these false prophecy n revelation crap came from..
Muslims have one agenda. It’s to spread islam. In Southern Thailand innocent Buddhist women get raped by Islamic extreme fundamentalists who push original race away from major settled cities which was built by original races for thousands of years.
Compare Islamic state to any other democratic state in the world n see who allows the religion freedom n right to practice ones religion. So don’t talk rubbish just because you can write. I have the original Quran n versus if you would
    Like to clarify them.

    Besides Whose idea is god?

author says he is an extremist. This is a big mistake made by him at a young age to walk on the wrong lane.middle path is the best for anything.

If you drive on a three lane road, which lane would you take.i always take the middle one and only when i am sure that i want to exit on the left or right i would pass on to the left or right lane.just imagine you want to exit to the right and you are currently on the left lane.It will be impossible to move to the middle lane and then to the right one before passing your exit. The point here is you have greater flexibility when you are in the middle to turn right or left as the situation warrants than if you are an extremist you lose the options and have to continue on your extremist path whether you like the ultimate destination or not.The extremist loses the flexibility option.

You see strong oaks fallen in a storm, but do you see the flexible wispy willows fallen.Change course my dear before you end up like the oak.

You’re trying to direct the author Fazl to the middle. Still for all he is an avowed believer of the Quran, the word of Allah. And Quran 48:29 says that Mohammed is God’s apostle and those who follow him are harsh to the un-believers but merciful to one another. So much for Muslim flexibility.

Mechanic, future generation of muslims are not going to follow every word of the koran. They will have questioning minds because every generation is smarter than the previous one. That is the way the human race evolved and survived. We are smarter than our parents and our kids will be smarter than us.Grandparents have seen how their grand kids do things at a very young age that they never saw their kids do.I don’t see many of the younger generation in the kovils or churches. When they came the first time and heard the priests or pastor droning on they must have thought that this is all a load of horseshit. You can’t fool all the people all the time especially the future generations with stuff that was devised thousands of years ago by men who could easily at that time fool their fellow human beings who would have been very gullible.

The younger generation muslims will extract what is good in the koran and disregard what they consider is bad.Example there are some good things in the koran such as abstinence of alcohol and pork etc. Also the ramadan fast where you feel the pangs of hunger.

          shankar,
I cannot but agree with you with almost everything you wrote here.

Miriam Daher above clearly questioned Fazl on mistreatment of Muslim women by Muslim men by “sticking to their outdated ridiculous ideologies in the Quran.”

Instead of answering that question, Fazl asks her whether “you have a problem with me, with the religion or with over 1.5 billion of Muslims”, and avoided the question and moved on to tell her “about the situation in Sri Lanka.”

Fazl is a young man. I doubt he disregard anything as bad in Quran as you ay. In fact, he seems to be more devoted and aligned to ‘out dated’ Allah’s word than even his great grandfather. And that’s why Fazl is sad about threats to Islam at Prophet’s time (1400 years ago) and praise how it survived and flourish for one in three humans to subscribe his revelations that even mistreat women in this day.

    Islam betrayed.

Now there are Muslim and anti-Muslim clashes in UK too.

    Who is at fault?

The non believers. What can’t they just become Islam and everyone will be happy.

The problem is, even as a Muslim you’re not safe from Muslims! If you’re a Shia the Sunni’s want your blood and vice versa too.

I think the thumbs down is from someone who didn’t get the sarcasm that Fathima meant.

CT, My comment about Sinhala-Muslim riots of 1915 where I have quoted M. Vythilingam in which he referred to ‘The Life of Sir Ponnambalam Ramanathan, vol.2 (1910-1930), 1977, chapters 10 (Riots-1915, pp.229-250),’ has disappeared from this thread. Any response?

Those who oppose Islam actually oppose what is being done in the name of Islam and not the religion itself. For others what is taught in Koran or the word of the prophet means nothing. It is when what you do in the name of Islam affects others that the conflict arises.
So instead of trying to preach Islam to others, wouldn’t it be wise to practice your religion in a manner that does not offend others?

Even though it is called the religion of peace, violence is inbuilt in it so much so,that if there are no non-believers to fight and kill, they’ll fight and kill their own.

Islam has many good things like fasting and strict prohibition of alcohol etc. However equally bad evil things like sharia law, discriminating women and non believers which do not go well with modern world with democratic values and their religious extremism will soon find it’s ends. I don’t see Islam surviving long when kids starting questioning about the silly out dated things taught in Quran(with all my due respect). My kids are questioning the biblical version of creation as they are puzzled that there has been no mentioning about dinosaurs in it.Likewise muslim kids will not be brain washed to the extent that Fazal went through in future. In that sense I don’t see much future for Islam extremism which is good for the sane world.

Fazl, though you might not have noticed it yet, people of other faiths and also people with no faiths are today at war with Islam. This did not start with 9/11, but became only more visible since then.

It’s completely false to say that the current SL government is using Buddhist extremism to stay in power. This government which is still very popular and is going to win the next elections too don’t need it. In fact, they will loose the support of the majority Singhalese who are against any kind of religious extremism. Any other government that will one day come in to power will also not be able to use religion as a tool to stay in power through religious extremism. Simply because, the 90% of the of this country’s non Muslim population, can’t be politically influenced through a religion. This 90% will question and will not blindly do everything what their politicians or clerics say. The Muslim problem in Sri Lanka lies with the Muslims themselves who’ve recently imported a desert Islam that they’ve seen while working in the Middle East. It’s understandable that the non Muslims are offended with this version of Islam. Is a Muslim woman covering in a head to toe in a black Abaya is more pious than a Muslim woman in trousers? The way these Muslims practice their medieval version of their religion is offensive and socially not acceptable to all non Muslims. Not only in Sri Lanka, but also in USA, Europe or anywhere in the world. Your religion that badly needs a reform can’t be practiced today in multicultural societies, like it was practiced in Arabia centuries ago which was only among Muslims in an illiterate desert community. There will always be resistance to it, regardless of where ever this medieval Islam is practiced in the world.

BBS of Sri Lanka, and the followers of the Buddhist monk Wirathu in Burma aren’t the only ones that are against Islam. There is also much resentment against Islam from Hindus, Christians and Jews from everywhere in the world and we hear some very critical voices from some Muslim women too. Women like Hirsi Ali, Wafa Sultan, Irshad Manji. These are Muslim women that openly criticize Islam. These are professionals and academics in their respective fields and refuse to be discriminated by the very religion, they happened to be born to.

If you don’t want to believe what non Muslims say about Islam, hear what these very Muslim women have to say. So, instead of writing nonsense, go wake up those fellow Muslims who are still in a 1400 year old deep slumber and educate them.
