I Will Not Reappoint Ranil Even If All 225 MPs Support Him: Sirisena

The second round of discussions between President Maithripala Sirisena and the United National Front party leaders ended unsuccessfully with the President continuing to reject the UNF’s nomination for the Prime Minister’s position, Ranil Wickremesinghe.

Sirisena

The meeting took place at the Presidential Secretariat at 8 PM with the participation of all UNP party leaders who attended the first meeting last Friday.

Speaking to media after the meeting with the President, UNP MP Lakshman Kiriella said Sirisena informed his group that Ranil Wickremesinghe would not be appointed the Prime Minister even if he received the support of all 225 MPs in Parliament.

“This is a grave threat to democracy. The meeting without any outcome due to President Sirisena’s stubborn attitude,” a UNF party leader who wished to remain anonymous told Colombo Telegraph after the meeting.

The UNF party leaders walked into the Presidential Secretariat with a new-found confidence with the interim order by the Court of Appeal preventing former President Mahinda Rajapaksa and his group from continuing in office.

The UNF party leaders pointed out to Sirisena that Wickremesinghe, the UNF’s nominee for the Prime Minister post, had the support of 117 MPs in the House. Despite their statements, Sirisena said he would not reappoint Wickremesinghe as the Prime Minister, bringing the political crisis back to square one.

Things will turn out to be fine in a few hours now.

Let s hope the best a country free from SIRISENA.

Right on! Bondscam Ranil must be held accountable for his Financial Crimes against the people of Lanka and for destroying the institution and reputation of the Central Bank of Sri Lanka – the most important financial institution in a country and a bigger crime than the funds that were looted from the CBSL. The CBSL scam is the reason that no FDI came to Lanka. Bond Ranil and Mahinda Jarapassa who also looted the people must share the same prison cell.

The Bondscam report must be released with the full list of all those who benefited form Ranil-Mahendran-PTL-Mallick network of looters, who put Lanka into a debt trap, were crashing the rupee and selling off Lanka’s strategic Lands, transport, energy security, logistics and Big data platforms to their foreign backers – Trumpland and their Asian allies.

Please go see a doctor. You make no sense. Stop going on about a bond scam. We have a constitutional crisis. The countries economy, its reputation are in ruins thanks to one extremely stupid mad man just like your self. The bond scam is not the greatest crisis as you make it out to be. The culprits are in jail the money was recovered. These are the musings of a senile idiot. PRIME MINISTER Ranil Wickremasinghe is the legitimate bearer of that office. How many court verdicts and no confidence motions do you need to accept this fact. Let me remind your senile mind about who the Mahinda Rajapakshe is and how it is not even in the remotest case possible to equate him the RW. MR the scoundrel robbed money from every single contract he signed with the Chinese Exim bank. In fact the Chinese got disgusted with him. He encouraged a culture of murder resulting in the wantom killing of Lasantha, Thajudeen, 11 youths (Navy murders), DIG Vas Gunwardhana’s murder spree, executions of LTTE prisoners, Executions in the white flag case, instigating racial violence. He is also a man prone to filthy language and known to loose his temper and abuse people around him in raw filth. He also is known to have physically assaulted at least four public officials including a former IGP. The man is a crooked dictator not fit for any public office. So please go see a doctor.

First of all in this bloody country, the politicians must be taught what the constitution is and one is bound to respect it. There must be a law to put the politicians before a official test or examination by law and a licence issued tofunction as a Politician. If Doctors are issued a license to function as a doctor, a lawyer to function as a lawyer, an engineer to function as an engineer…a driver to drive a vehicle…. etc. We will not this kind of Gang Kabarayos suddenly becoming a President or a Prime minister. There has to be some quality to this profession. Sira and Mara must be given the punishment the Romania’s Chaucescu got from the people…. death on the street by the marauding people. Then all the curse will be gone in one day….from this Island of ours.

Srilanka is ruled by a President who is believed to have MAD COW DISEASE.

His behaviours have been worsening, as not even 10 year olds would get it easily.

Constitution makes it clear the majority in the parliament should decide their leader nothing more nothing less.

But this estranged president believes it is he who should decide the person going by personal details of the person.

He does not even respect anything not even the court decisions.

It is all because his mental situation is weakened so that he would wage his tails to any wrong advisers# command.

The country is going down with th eless resources they own, with a burden sum of debts to be paid off in January 2019, but the bugger seems to be not even thinking of anything but his ludicros statements.

    Idiot Sirisena

“I Will Not Reappoint Ranil Even If All 225 MPs Support Him: Sirisena”

OK you said to the entire country in 2015 you will NOT ever associate with the crook, thief and abuser Mahinda Rajapakse. So where is that promise? Why did you go against what you said? Can people ever trust you?

So whenever you want Rajapakse is a God, then when you want he becomes ‘murderer, thief, and abuser’ and again when you want he becomes a ‘savior’ again.

You then made a very serious character assassination against a citizen of this country tried to ruin him. He survived because of his efforts and nothing of yours. Can I do the same thing and survive? I will have to pay huge sums of money as damages and also spend time in jail. How is that you mange to go Scot free?

Parliament is not your private property you imbecile! You should be impeached if this country to come out the doldrums.

WHO THE F…. does he think he is?

He was elected by 6.25 million of us, and whatever his personal animosities against anyone his duties to his Nation, Our Nation precedes everything.

If more than 113 MPs in Parliament wants one of them to be Prime Minister, so be it! He should also not forget, and we all Sri Lankans too, that the President was elected by 6.25 million of our electors BUT the 225 (for better or for worse) were elected by all eligible and valid votes cast at the General Elections of August 2015.

If effect and reality the Parliament is far more represented by the people of this country than the Executive President, which makes a forceful argument that we need to get rid of this “BAHOOBOOTHA WIYAWASTHAWA”- (In CBK’s own words) which is very TRUE!

WE MUST IMPEACH HIM, IMPEACH HI, IMPEACH HIM…………………..

I see the only solution to impeach this brainless, spineless, ungrateful mad dog. I think we can have unanimous support. We will wait for the final court decision and once Parliament gets stabilized after the constitutional coup a motion be passed to impeach this demented shameless disgraceful so called ‘President’.

I am sure there will be unanimous support. Rajapakse and his clan will too support as he have to to repay back his debt and teach a bitter lesson to Aiyo Silisena for the backstabbing he got from this snake under the grass. If Rajapakse did not support then it will be a shame on him.

Current conditions in the country is a recipe for disaster. Root cause for this is Maithrypala Sirisena. If Sirisena can’t work with Ranil, he must leave. If he is not doing that he should be removed by force.

      Jayantha De Alwis

      Root cause for this is Ranil Wikramasinghe;

Helped looting CB, continued to be the PM without a obtaining a fresh mandate after MS faction withdrew from fake gg to make the mandate void.

Having the speaker in his grip to make him partial towards UNP.

Failure to respect & obey the head of the state. (President was elected by the people of the whole country whereas RW was elected by Colombo people & it was the president appointed him the PM in the minority govt.)

See how stupid you’re, nobody can be removed by force as there’s a democratic procedure for that.

You’re just a silly prototype of undemocratic culprit, RW.

even my3 contests again he is not going to win . that is why he said he won’t contest for the 2nd time.can you remember. he knew it soon after winning. he was ALRIGHT at that time.

      dayal

The same is applied for Ranil; he won’t win

That’s why UNP made a proxy president (to make a cat’s paw) for RW to became the PM & might have had a dream to see president gets a heart attack & die for him to be the president.

He is shy of elections because of that so this behavior pattern is the only way to cling in to power for just another year.

R W must have been an irriant to such a degree that the President has developed so much allergy to him.
Can we the Public who voted you to become the President know why you don’t want Ranil as PM?
We all know that the GoSL from January 2015 was corrupt as well. Leaving that issue what else are the ISSUES?

Defying court order by an elected President of a country means he is leading the country to a dictatorship
and this is a do or die situation for the Supreme Court and the learnt Judges, in the interest of the country, should go in for Presidential and General election like in USA on the same date, sooner as there are enough evidence available to call both elections on the same date and time and issue arrest warrants to arrest those who oppose the results or defy court orders.let the Supreme court restore law and order in the country.
Foreigners are asking the question from Srilankan expatriates as to “whats gone wrong with your poli-
ticians” and they shy away having no answer to give . The armed forces and the police should give protec-
tion to these judges and the people and maintain law and order in the country, strictly and should shoot
at sight on those creating trouble in the country. Let us have some discipline in this country at any cost.

    Mr President,
The Parliament and the Judiciary have taken note of your actions on the 26th of October.
Dissolving the Parliament may / may not have been your legal prerogative, however your power to replace without consulatation of Parliament was not yours to make.
Considering this current statement of yours -when you state that should all 225 Parlimentarians agree, you will still not appoint RW as Prime Minister is addressing bias as an individual, without giving compelling reason.
To diffuse the madness that your actions have brought about, it becomes imperative that you dissolve the MR cabinet and Government that you and ONLY you appointed, in order that the Judiciary could consider more important things – such as your impeachment.

as i have been telling earlier impeachment is the only way forward. We will see what he will say when that starts rolling.UNP must be strong and united and get rid of him because now he is a pakshemole.

PS.Why i call him pakshe mole he is not fully with rajapakshe but his lower half is.

Oya ratey mnissu, kelinney pissu. What a stubborn dumb-ass President we have appointed. He has taken the powers vested in him as President, too much to heart, and does not want to step down from his high horse. Show a little humility Man and accept you blundered. Afterall we are all human, and at times we get ahead ourselves and get carried away, but when we realize our mistakes, we relent, regret and move on. The people and the country at large, taken as a whole is more important than your silly pride and indignant attitude. You will be forgiven and even given a second chance at the next elections to make amends. But the way you are going about it now, you will be cursed even after you are long gone, as one who abused his position to reign in economic chaos amidst political upheaval, just for your dislike of just one man. And that man too who made you somebody when you were a nobody. Cannot think of any worse. SHAME ON YOU Mr. PRESIDENT.

What an embarrassment of a president…

He says he wants an election for democracy… but even if UNP/UNF wins all 225 seats he will not listen to the people!!

How can someone so blatantly violate the respect of the parliament?

    Impeach him already!!!!

      An innocent Bystander

“He says he wants an election for democracy”

As a matter of fact, in this context.

      1. RW doesn’t have a mandate to be in power because 2015 mandate was given for him to go together with MS. Now MS withdrew his MPs & no longer he’s part of the government so mandate is void.

      2. RW’s government is a minority government getting prop support from racially based minority parties that have negative effect upon the country’s integrity.

      3. He’s embroiled in CB bond scam to lose his credibility so the parliament support he’s getting can’t be respected.

So understand that it’s an election that can do the best for the country in this hour of need.

Welcome to Lankawe politics. People thought MR was criminal, crooked, power grabbing and autocrat. Here comes MS the new avatar (the original). There is more in pipe line. If you give them a chance they will do the same or worse. Before we had JR the architect. This is Lanka politics over years, has gradually declined and now taken a nosedive. This will be a blue print for the waiting aspirants. What do people think the children of these crooks will turn out to be when it is their chance. Namal is already out there taken the mantle. Just changing the leader will not do??? when we have plenty of Vasantha, Suresh and Thondas. The people may elect one but back stabbers do the needful for an abrupt change against the will of people.. Think about the crooks in waiting????? SB, GLP,Susil, Amunugama,Basil——etc—–etc. The whole parliament is full of it. Then you have Lankans who desperately keeps bringing them all. The only positive outcome is not many of UNP members (as I expected) switched alliance, but then again this is not to be taken for granted.

This country does not belong to Sirisena or his family , neither does it belong to Ranil , they were chosen and elected by the people to serve and be the servants . Sirisena has gone off his head to say that he will not appoint Ranil in his lifetime as PM. SIRISENA MUST BE REMOVED FROM PRESIDENT as he has become a danger to the country. He is going mad .

Maithri’s Eccentricities: Experts have come up with an explanation for the highly eccentric behavior of Sirisena. He is a drug addict!
    .
Consider the Characteristics of Addiction According to the American Society of Addiction Medicine (ASAM), addiction is characterized by:
    .
    a) Inability to consistently abstain from the substance or rewarding experience, as in gambling, sex, or overeating – (sex? Yes! He thinks sex is a Samanala experience).
    b) Impairment in behavioral control (Look at the way he laughs).
    c) Craving for the substance or rewarding experience (Friday is significant).
    d) Diminished recognition of significant problems with your behavior and interpersonal relationships. (Obsessive hatred of Ranil, and love for Mahinda)
    e) A dysfunctional emotional response (No further explanation necessary)
    .
How did he become an addict? He was the Health Minister under Mahinda. In his position, he had ready access to pain killers such as Fentanyl, the strongest opioid. from pain killers to ICE is a short step.
    .
Perhaps, Chathuika should author a second book which can be named as ‘Kudu Thaththa’ to explain the intricate details of this story.

It is constitutional to hold a certain view or support a political party. With that in mind, let no one try to curtail the rights of those who have opposing views.

There are those who think that the President pulled out of the coalition government (not unconstitutional) and changed the structure of cabinet (not unconstitutional) and removed the Prime Minister (to be decided by the SC) in order to avert a constitutional coup, not to create it.

I have seen the proposals for the new constitution and it’s not pretty. In fact it is not pretty.

The President is within his rights to refuse to appoint RW, but also it is his duty to find a solution.

So, Sirisena now says, “I will not reappoint Ranil even if all 225 MPs support him:” And, what does that say of him? The silly man, he has clearly not heard of that old saying that “it is better to keep your mouth shut and let people think you are a fool than to open it and confirm it”.

You and MR couldn’t show a simple parliamentary majority, by hook or crook. What better you can do to the country? You guys are getting ready to go for general elections like veeraros with just one hope, that is gullible villagers who can be bought easily by money and sweet talks. Unfortunately in SL, having majority of that kind of citizens and democracy together is the issue.
