Dr. Ameer Ali
“The Islamic Republic of Iran is proud to be the target of the rage of the world’s greatest Satan” (Ali Khamenei)
“If the invaders reach Iran the country will turn into a burning hell for them” (Mohamed Khatami)
Iran–Israel aerial military confrontation is the latest and potentially the most dangerous act in the post-World War I mega-plot to redesign the Middle East to serve the imperial aspirations of Western powers. It was the American naval geographer Alfred Thayer Mahan who launched the phrase Middle East along with two other the Near East and Far East, and Zionism was planted in Palestine as the centrepiece of the choreographed reordering of that entire region after the fall of the Ottoman Empire. The Sykes-Picot agreement of 1916 was a secret plot hatched by Britain and France with tacit agreement from Imperial Russia to carve out the middle eastern enclaves of the fallen Ottoman Empire into respective zones of influence for the two imperial powers. After World War II the caesarean birth of Israel in 1948 was an essential part of that choreography. Once the imperial leadership changed hands from Britain to US, Israel became the gatekeeper of the new imperial master, and it was surreptitiously assisted by US to acquire nuclear weapons although John F. Kennedy came to regret that assistance later.
The long-awaited aerial military showdown between Iran and Israel has begun in earnest with the usual dish of misinformation and propaganda served by the Western media including Al-Jazeera. As Chris Hedges noted in his column to Counter Punch (16 June 2025), while US Secretary of State Marco Rubio was saying that US was “not involved in strikes against Iran” Israel claimed that every phase of the attack was “closely coordinated with Pentagon” and that US provided “exquisite intelligence” to Israel. Trump urging millions of Iranians to evacuate their residences in Tehran reveals that he was informed by Israel what was going to happen. Therefore, Israel’s bombing attack was a carefully coordinated piece endorsed by Pentagon. Yet, Netanyahu’s claim that Israel has total control over Iranian sky does not explain why Iranian missiles are still falling on Tel Aviv and why Israelis are leaving their country by sea. Israeli air defence system is reported to be crumbling according to Palestinian sources and unless US replenish with new stock Israel will not be able to hold long. Netanyahu is now desperately pleading for Trump to enter the war directly. Although Trump has called for “unconditional surrender” from Iran he should realise that Iran is not a walk over to any power.
There is also another view that Israel started this bombing partly because Netanyahu and his Zionist cabal wanted to sabotage the US-Iran nuclear talks which was progressing smoothly and partly to divert world’s attention from Israel’s genocide in Gaza. Israel is also reported to have reduced its military personnel from Gaza to take care of possible attacks from Iran-backed Hamas, Hezbollah, Houthis and militias from Syria.
Iran, the 17th largest country in the world with a population of around 90 million with strategic military alliances with Russia and China is not an easy prey like Egypt, Jordan, Iraq, Libya or Syria for Israel and or US to subdue. Iran has no nuclear weapons yet. But nuclear facilities are developed in three sites Natanz, Fordow and Isfahan. By 2024, Iran was reported to have reached a level of 60% uranium enrichment with 90% purity required to produce nuclear weapons. This is why Israel considers Iran an existential threat. But no power on earth could stop that country from developing its own nuclear strength. If Israel could possess nuclear weapons on what logic or rationale could US or any power disallow other countries in Middle East to possess such weapons to maintain balance of power? In fact, Iran’s nuclear program was initiated by US during the puppet regime of the Shah. At that time Israel did not raise any objection. It was the 1979 Islamic Revolution which crippled that link and the country started developing its own independent nuclear defence system with assistance from other sources.
If the current confrontation between Iran and the US-Israel duo continues there are three possible but dangerous global consequences as Manoj Joshi explains in “Trump, Iran and the Nuclear Deal: A Slow-Motion Crisis” published in Observer Research Foundation (4 April 2025). Firstly, there is no assurance that the duo could neutralise all Iranian facilities, which will paradoxically increase Iran’s resolve to make and use nuclear weapons. Secondly, if Iran closes the Strait of Hormuz the artery which allows 20% of world oil supply and one-fifth of LNG to pass through, energy prices would skyrocket and the cost-of-living pandemic which has afflicted almost every economy in the world would certainly worsen. And thirdly, there could be humanitarian consequences arising from radioactive contamination if nuclear facilities were to be struck.
In addition to these consequences, there is also a possibility of another wave of Islamic resurgence to emerge as happened soon after the Iranian Revolution. In the 1980s, when the capitalist world was in the grip of stagflation a new generation of educated Muslims from several parts of the Muslim world agitated for an end to the ruling World Order and demanded a new one based on Islamic values or norms. That movement had a natural death partly because the new Islamic world order did not have a blueprint and partly because US and its allies were able to exploit quite successfully the historic Shia-Sunni division in Islam and kept on drumming the fact that the Iranian Revolution and the subsequent wave of resurgence were a Shia inspired phenomenon and that the Sunni majority must stick to its peaceful and reformist path for change. All that happened at the end was the establishment of a few Islamic banks operating without an Islamic Central Bank and the opening of a few Islamic universities. The more committed of the Islamists however resorted to violent means to achieve their objective and were portrayed by the West as terrorists. The term terrorism thus owes its origin to the Islamic Revolution.
The genocide unleashed by Israel in Gaza and Israel’s bombing of Iran has been justified by G7 countries as “self-defence” for political reasons. In fact, the entire Global North along with puppet Arab regimes shed crocodile tears for the calculated death of tens of thousands of Palestinian women and children with starvation as a premeditated weapon. Donald Trump wants to destroy Iran at any cost. So far Hamas, Hezbollah, Ansarullah and other pro-Palestinian and pro-Iranian outfits have not coordinated their response to the Iran-Israel-US confrontation, and only Pakistan from the Sunni world has openly declared its support to Iran. The silence of the pro-Iranian outfits is potentially more dangerous than their open tit for tat retaliation. If the war continues a second wave of Islamic resurgence to destabilize the Sunni Muslim regimes in the Middle East is a strong possibility.
Above all, events in the Middle East exposes the weakness of a declining superpower and the moral bankruptcy of the world order. US is declining economically, politically, culturally and even morally. This why Trump is panicking to hold on to his world leadership amidst cracks appearing in G7, AUKUS and other Western alliances. How China and Russia are going to play their cards in the Middle East crisis is not clear. Trump’s domestic crisis should not be isolated from the systemic crisis engulfing the world order. If Trump foolishly enters the Iran-Israeli confrontation on behalf of Israel that could bring incalculable consequences and thankfully could provide the catalyst for a systemic change and birth of a new world order.
Finally, Netanyahu claims that Israel’s war against Iran is partly to topple Iran’s ruling regime. Ironically if the war continues it will be the regime in Tel Aviv that would become the casualty.

Down with American attack on Iran
America has attacked Iran and Trump is responsible for the assault. The American attack shows the failure of Israel in controlling Iran with their extended annihilations in Gaza. All these activities should be condemned by humanity. Independent experts have revealed that there is no evidence that Iran is moving towards a nuclear bomb. If that is the case, then why Israel and America attacking Iran? The reasons could be located in their racist, anti-Islamic and completely fascist political mentality. No one can say Iran is completely correct in their internal or external policies. However, those are left to the people in the country to resolve in a democratic manner. Israel or America does not have any right to intervene. If some countries have nuclear power including bombs, why can’t others have the same rights? All countries should give up nuclear bombs and weapons and go for using nuclear power only for safe economic and technological purposes.

It may be true that US is declining economically, politically, culturally and even morally. Dr. Ameer Ali is one of the major advisor to the NPP and his role and and other advisors strongly advised AKD/NPP to take IMF loan to recover from bankruptcy. Doesn’t he know that IMF belongs to the West, particularly USA?. Sri Lanka/NPP is now no other escape route from the IMF. Further Sri Lanka/NPP now move towards West and NPP have more friendly with Israel than before. Dr. Ameer Ali’s recent articles are against to West in support of Iran, Palestine than Sri Lanka/NPP.

.
Do you even listen to yourself when you post on CT?
You’re blaming Amir Ali for advice you assume he gave—without evidence—while conveniently ignoring the actual culprits.
.
It was NPP/JVP who explicitly promised the public that they would not pursue further IMF loans. Yet, what was one of their very first actions after coming to power? Securing a major IMF loan. That’s not Amir Ali’s doing—that’s a political decision made by the very parties that campaigned against it.
.
So why are you dragging Amir Ali into this? Did he make the promise? Was he the one on stage telling the people “No IMF”? No. That was AKD, NPP, and JVP.
.
Even if Amir Ali gave advice, they still made the choice. So where should accountability lie?
.
Criticism is fair, but let’s at least apply it where it belongs. Blame the leaders who broke their word—not the advisors who may or may not have whispered in their ear.
.
I can handle a lot—disagreement, tough debates, even sharp words—but what I cannot tolerate is stupid thinking and blind blame. There may be no cure for stupidity, but there’s definitely no excuse for willful ignorance.
.
Ajith you are a damn fool I must tell you. Your IQ must be lower than that of a DOG.

I believe everything they said prior to the election has been proven to be lies, one after the other. AKD’s speech in Berlin to Tiger supporters sounded like he was a saint. The truth is that AKD is affiliated with a fascist guerrilla group from southern Sri Lanka that has killed 50,000 or more people in multiple riots. They criticised almost everyone, and they are now using the same tactics. So, why did they take away the nation’s valuable time? I believe Jeppos are worse than northern rebels, despite the fact that the majority of this island nation is still ignorant of this fact.
–
AKD, as an opposition MP, had no knowledge of economic revival, which is why he criticised the secretary of finance ministry louder than anyone else would. However, as HE president of this country, he shamelessly or without public apologies congratulates the secretary at his farewell party, praising his work over the last three years.
–
So, how can we take our incumbent president seriously? Either he is a psychopath or suffers from other psychological issues. This type of behaviour was also visible in former President SIRISENA at the time, when he appointed MaRa as premier of his government after dismissing illegitimate Prime Minister RW.

I am not dragging Ameer Ali. He is one of the Promoter of NPP after 2022. Most of the recent articles justified NPP rules. Whether it is an advise to NPP or promoting IMF is no difference. Yes, NPP promised no IMF before the election but they are accountable for their action. IMF was the choice of Ranil and the Peoples choice is not Ranil or Rajapaksa but it is NPP. Not a single Sinhalese leaders honoured what they have told before election. Can you remember Ranil as a president promised to find a solution to the Tamils problem before 4th February 2023. What happened”? Rajapaksa promised to go beyond 13th Plus after the end of war? What happened”?

Yes. I did not promote NPP but I always wanted a change towards System change. I wantedTamils to not vote for any Sinhalese leadership but to vote for Tamil common candidate. For Sinhalese, I wanted Sinhalese to make a choice for a change, particularly against TO UNP and SLPP (SLPP). Still I am happy that Sinhalese made a change but still against to NPP’s stand on unitary state, keeping special status to Buddhism etc.

Hello Ajith,
My Father stood for Election as an SNP (Scottish National Party) Candidate in Aberdeen. I did not support him as I fundamentally disagreed with the SNP Policies. However the Economic arguments that were put up against Scottish Nationalism were specious to say the least. At that time the revenue from North Sea Oil (which Margaret Thatcher squandered) could have made Scotland fairly wealthy. There are huge reserves on the West Coast still to be developed. He lost by the way, the Labour Party was too strong locally.
I was always in favour of the Devolution of Parliamentary Powers etc. but still keeping a Unitary UK State. I could travel, work and live in any part of the UK that I wished without any Government Interference. That is how we wanted it to be. No Border Controls, equal access to Health Services, Education and Social Services. Plus no discrimination on the grounds of Nationality, Race, Ethnicity, Gender, Sexual Orientation, Religion or lack of it.
Do you want Borders and Customs Controls etc. inside Sri Lanka?

Ajith,
If the NPP takes loans to keep the economy going, it has to listen to the money-lender, which is the IMF. The NPP never had any real plan to develop the economy, only theories.lf you believed they had a plan, you must blame yourself. If you thought the NPP is different from any other Sinhalese party, again blame yourself.
The alternative economic plan is to ban all imports, ration everything, and live within our means. Will you like slow Internet and having to pay 25 rs/min for phone calls?

“lf you believed they had a plan, you must blame yourself.”
“If you thought the NPP is different from any other Sinhalese party, again blame yourself.”
I strongly believe NPP or any Other Sinhalese Parties that had governments since 1948 who (UNP SJB), SLFP(SLPP) have or had any plan for economy or country or people. The fundamental principle in economic development is stability in the sense of politics (peace), and economy.
Sri Lanka’s political history is marked by a transition from ancient kingdoms to colonial rule and then to independence and a civil war. The so called independence which started with civil war which is still continues. Two families, Two Sinhalese Parties, Two different international partners (RIGHT and LEFT) (OPEN,CLOSED) finally brought bankruptcy. Who should be accountable for Bankruptcy? Who should be accountable for Civil war?
who should be blamed? I am happy to accept your blame if you accept the blame for the past 77 years.

If Sri Lanka didn’t take up the IMF Deal we would be in a much worse condition. I am no fan of the IMF, but how else would Sri Lanka have dug itself out of the deep pit it was in? The Jews of mostly European blood are also suffering terribly. They are attempting to flee Israel and take up residence all around the world, and also in Sri Lanka. Best and cheapest if Nethanyahu is gotten rid of and the two-state solution is created. The US$700-billion of arms sales that US gave to Israel, and the many other amounts given to them by previous admis., plus the intended war on Iran that will be never ending, and will lead to WW3,…..all can be put to rest with a far cheaper Palestinian State Solution. Hoping and praying that Trump has the tenacity for it. 🙏🙏🙏

I think it’s time you stopped obsessing over Israel or placing blind hope in whether Trump will “do the right thing.” You should be far more concerned about what ICE might do to you — because if they get hold of you, you could very well end up in a prison in El Salvador.
.
What baffles me most is your complete silence when it comes to the suffering of Palestinian women and children. Not a shred of sympathy. And yet, you have the audacity to speak about the pain of “European blood” in Israel? Your hypocrisy reeks — and so does your hollow brand of Christianity.
.
Frankly, you belong in an ICE detention facility. Maybe then you’ll understand the cruelty you’ve supported. Karma doesn’t miss, and it sure as hell won’t spare you.

You’ve deluded yourself into thinking that siding with Israel — despite its blatant acts of terror — earns you divine favor, as if backing what you imagine to be “God’s chosen people” will secure you some share of their power. That selfish fantasy will come crashing down. And when it does, you’ll regret every ounce of your self-serving ignorance.

Why lie? ALL know I have been the strongest proponent of the Palestinian people and have been horrified by their suffering, long before most others even thought of it. I am glad social media gsve me the opportunity to share my views on this matter.
–
But this is one of the few times I have spoken for the Israelis as I see them too, as a persecuted race after what happened to them in Europe – and they have been going through this for many centuries and millennia. It could be their own fault too, as they are too intelligent compared to the rest of humanity and therefore keep their community away from others as they feel they are God’s chosen people (aliens from another planet, or another dimension). Hence their feelings of entitlement, even if they subject their own people to much suffering.

To be honest I have not seen you comment anything in solidarity with the people of Palestine. But now that Israel is under attack you are openly empathizing with them and hoping that these European Israelis be save by Trump.
First and foremost you should realize that Israeli Zionist war criminals like Netanyahu should be held accountable for the response they are getting from Iran.
By the way I am not a fan of the oppressive regime in Iran either, but in this case Israel should be held accountable.
It may interest you to know that Israel have a stock pile of nuclear weapons, of their own but they don’t want Iran to have one. How selfish is that.
I am not surprised, this is how the so called clever Jews think.
It is this self-centered “live and let die attitude” that has plagued them from time and they have been stateless ever since.
They were a plague in Europe, that was why the madman Hitler was able to gather public support to exterminate them like rats.
And Ironically even though the allies won WWII, the first thing they did was to gather the Jews and send them out of Europe. This was the diplomatic way of cleansing Europe of the menace.

Dreadful thing what Trump is doing, but necessary all the same after foolish Biden opened up the Southern border so wide that some drug cartels also came in together with the good people. Have you forgotten that he’s a major part of the problem in the first place?
.
It genuinely surprises me that you continue to place your faith in someone with such a long track record of cruelty, corruption, and hypocrisy.
.
Setting that aside, you blame Biden for “letting Mexicans troop in.” What does that even mean? Do you really believe Trump’s immigration crackdown was focused solely on drug cartels and violent criminals? Because that’s not the reality. His ICE agents weren’t targeting just criminals — they were rounding up farmworkers, hotel staff, construction crews, and everyday people, many of whom have contributed more to society than Trump ever has. The way they were treated? Often worse than convicted murderers. Doesn’t that give you pause?
.
And let’s not forget — Trump himself is a convicted criminal. His own wife is an immigrant, and her family benefited from the very “chain migration” he publicly condemned. That hypocrisy alone should make you question everything. And he’s hardly alone — just look at figures like Marco Rubio or even his former VP.

Yes, Biden did open the floodgates of all kinds of cartel activity. I know three young men who overdosed recently on Fentanyl. Americans are horrified. This drug is produced in illicit Mexican labs. There’s no knowing where the cartels operate….from farm workers to hotel staff. Hence the removal of illegal workers till some control is brought about and better vetting processes are brought about for work immigration. Yes, they are treated horribly. It is terrible to see. But have you seen what Singapore does to its illegal entrees? Torture then by caning them in scientifically devised ways to exact most pain. You must be knowing what Saudi Arabia does to its starving worker who steals and apple and bottle of water, and a woman who was raped and has no proof of it.

Trump has now bombed Iran’s nuclear sites. I am not sure if it is good or bad; if it will set of another war in the region. The idea was not to attack Iran, however, but just the nuclear sites. Terribly unfair because Israel probably has them also. Yet, Israel doesn’t threaten other places, except holocaust the Palestinians off their natural and ancient lands. Iran, however, is threatening Israel.
–
What Trump should now do is create the two-state solution and give the Palestinians a good deal for it in terms of monetary support. It would be far cheaper than continuously supplying Israel with weapons of war and WMD. Getting rid of Netanyahu and installing the Israeli opposition who have a greater caring for the Palestinian people is a must. Then Trump can be president for life. And his successor will of course be a part of his adimn,….probably Rubio. No King of course.

Does the bible stipulate everything?
Is Sri Lanka mentioned in the bible?
Yet here you are, sitting in Sri Lanka and cheering for the Jews, who by the way don’t even acknowledge Jesus Christ as the son of God.
What does the bible tell you about Jesus Christ?
From what you are implying if something is not there in the bible, it will not happen.
Then was it biblical for Nazis to exterminate 6 million Jews?
According to your views, it must have been, because it happened.
I think the best thing would be to ship you off to Israel, they need you now.
But please don’t go there with your bible, they may crusify you too.

There was once the land of Canaan in the Bible,
Now called Palestine,
That God gave to the tribes of Judah,
Who are of the same Semetic blood-brotherhood of the Arabs,
Who are the direct descendants of Jesus, Mary, and Joseph,
Who got converted to Islam,
Who now are being chased way from their God-begotten land,
By Europeans of far lesser blood of the Jews.
/

ramona therese fernando / June 22, 2025
Dtg,…….the concept and sustenance of Caanan is the only worthy thing for God, not its name. Philistines of about 4,000 years ago were driven out by the Jews. Those of pure Jewish blood then occupied Canaan till the Jews of mostly European blood holocausted them out of it (save for the Pharasees and Scribes of Jerusalem who were chased away by the Romans from Jerusalem in around 50 AD).

One remarkable trait many Sri Lankans seem to possess is the uncanny ability to lie to themselves—and then wholeheartedly believe those lies.
It’s a coping mechanism, a way to escape the harshness of reality. Poverty seems to take a serious toll on the average Sri Lankan persons psyche.
.
When a lie is told, both the speaker and the listener often know it’s a lie. Yet, they play along—pretending ignorance, convincing themselves it’s the truth.
.
And when reality finally strikes, they scramble for the nearest scapegoat to take the fall.
.
Ajith is a textbook example of this behavior.
Conveniently, their memories also tend to become fuzzy when the truth catches up with them.
/
leelagemalli / June 21, 2025
Hello HT;
When a lie is told, both the speaker and the audience are usually aware that it is a lie. Despite their pretended ignorance, they continue to believe it is true.
The problem is that Sri Lanka’s mainstream media is not self-sufficient.and linked to a mafia network that is larger than any other mafia group.
OUR OLD CODGER compared it to Vox, but lanken media fraud is even worse. They have contributed to the spread of additional lies.
-Sirasa TV has become the primary voice defending the president’s massive lies.
It is similar to the behaviour of srilanken lawyers who swore before God to work for justice and against injustice, yet Sri Lankan courts support drug dealers and high criminals while defending them.
However, their public statements argue against eradicating the drug problem.
/

.
Please don’t place all the blame on the mainstream media for what’s happening to the people. The media may exploit the situation, but the real issue lies in our own lack of critical thinking.
.
Many people are highly susceptible to media manipulation simply because they don’t engage their reasoning skills to seek out the truth. Until we start thinking for ourselves, we’ll continue to fall for the same narratives — no matter who’s broadcasting them.
/
leelagemalli / June 22, 2025
HT,
Yes, I think it has to do with everyone’s capacity for logical thought.Teachers and university lecturers in the past, in my opinion, set an example for others because, after receiving their education, they were knowledgeable about nearly everything except their field of study.
However, the introduction of subject-oriented education completely hinders all other areas by prioritising science and technology.
They are being called “investigative journalists” by media men, but they are actually doing the opposite.

“If Sri Lanka didn’t take up the IMF Deal we would be in a much worse condition.”
I understand that Sri Lanka went behind IMF help 16 times over the 75 years. What made you to go IMF help? Who made this country Bankruptcy? Why did Sri Lanka become poor ? What made you to be debt for over 100 Billion dollars? Have you got any answers for these questions? Do you know why People get rid of both SLFP (SLPP) and UNP after 77 years to NPP?

It is good to check the facts before shooting one’s mouth.
Study the conditions under which SL went to the IMF earlier and the terms of the loans.
It happened mostly under UNP governments and even then the conditions were not humiliating like now.
It is not going to the IMF the issue, but the terms of the loan.
/
Ajith / June 22, 2025
“It happened mostly under UNP governments and even then the conditions were not humiliating like now.”
It is funny to blame the IMF conditions but not IMF loan. Whether it is UNP or SLFP it doesn’t matter, It is Sri Lanka (Ceylon). Both took racism and special status to Buddhism as a common policy which took the country to the civil war and both UNP and SLFP responsible or accountable for their racist policy.

Hello LS,
Like R25, I believe AJITHI has been brainwashed. They don’t have any arguments, but they’re being taken advantage of like many other gullible and ignorant voters.
Those who stood in the way and chose not to go to the IMF earlier realised how foolish they were. The grandfather of today’s justice minister, senior politician VASIDEWA NANANYAKKA, made a bigger error in Gota’s government.
Many of our people lack the ability to think logically, as HT has made abundantly evident. The majority of them are completely ignorant of the fundamentals of the subjects they are discussing. Even the president, AKD, doesn’t appear to be aware of the specifics of his public criticisms of others, such as the costs of the cars that former Sri Lankan leaders drive. It should be between one and two million dollars each, according to AKD. This is a completely exaggerated claim.
There are a lot of phoney pundits (like the woman in your area, by name “reuter”) in this country. AKD and HIS PARTY secrecy is another. All they have been saying is nonsense based on anecdotal evidence; they have nothing in their minds that is grounded in reality.
The people who lived in the targeted area suffered greatly as a result of the actual disasters of Chenobyl and Super Gau and Bopal.

Iran is probably the only country in the world that has the courage to face the supremacist settler colonial thugs full-on. Whereas the Ansarallah group and Hisbullah and Hamas – Islamic Jihad do operate locally and rather parochially, Iran seems to be standing up for justice for the whole of humanity. While the Global South has infinitely more resources to ensure that the curse of apartheid and genocide is removed, it is far too fragmented and beholden to bribes or threats or both. “Interests” should not determine the stance the major powers of the Global South adopt. Instead, they must rally around global justice and prosperity, so elusive to most of the 8 billion people on the planet, precisely due to the rotten world order imposed on them.

The disintegration of the American world order will be hastened by the events in the Middle East and by Trump. We see that the Pakistanis are nominating Trump for the Nobel Prize. Let us hope that there will be no Islamic World Order. Half of humanity, women, will have to wear burquas. They keep their dictators in power and the so called Islamic resurgence has never taken place. There is a movement to get the Shah’s son back in power. The Muslims have a long way to go in terms of politics to contribute to the world. Pity that there is silence on the part of Russia and China relating to the attack on Iran. The US and Israel will not be able to sustain this war. The US has got itself burnt in every country it intervened in. A few more will make it weaker and it will lose its respect. Trump will end up by Making America a Joke Again.

Who told you that America is a Christian country? Because if you truly believe that, take a look at the actions and attitudes of many so-called “Christian” nationalists — especially those who support racist, xenophobic policies under the MAGA banner. Do they reflect the teachings of Jesus Christ?
.
It seems, in your worldview, Trump has somehow become a Christ-like figure. Is that what you’re implying? A man who is a convicted criminal, who has shown open racism, lied repeatedly, abused women, and exploited faith for political gain — this is the person you think represents godliness?
.
You might want to ask yourself: are you really worshipping God — or are you following someone whose values align more with the very things Christ stood against?

Your words say far more about your beliefs than you realize. Blind devotion to power, wealth, and exclusion isn’t faith. It’s idolatry.

As for the Pakistanis – all the ones that I know are more likely to offer Iran a Nuclear Bomb than give Trump a Nobel Prize. One of my Pakistani Colleagues was a nephew of Zia ul Haq, the ex President, who was killed by the US in a Plane Crash. However John Dean the American Ambassador to India reckoned it was Mossad. Dean survived an Israeli plot to kill him in Lebanon in 1980.
So whoever is right the Pakistanis will still feel the same about the Israelis War on Iran.

“if Iran is able to get rid of its fanatic mullahs with the help of Israeli bombing, the world would be a better place.”
You have bought Israeli and pro-Israeli Western propaganda.
While many Iranians don’t want the current domination by the Mullahs, nobody wants Netanyahu to arrogate to Israel the right to be a nuclear weapon state while dictating to its neighbors they couldn’t have any nuclear deterrence of their own. And what height of hypocrisy for Israel to mercilessly murder more than 55000 Palestinians in Gazan, including by attacking hospitals several times, while shouting about Iran missiles hitting a hospital in Israel.
Assassinations, including nuclear scientists and their families, killings of innocent civilians, etc., are hardly the actions of a country with any moral high ground. Little wonder, then, that most Middle Easterners think of Israel as a cancer inserted into their body. From their perspective, if they can get rid of Netanyahu and his hard-right cabal of expansionists, the world will be a better place.

Look back to 1978 and Afghanistan. The media told us that brave Mujaheddin were resisting evil Communists. Now we know that the evil Communists were indeed liberating women and the brave Mujaheddin turned into Taliban.
Now the very same people who promoted WMD’s in Iraq and Taliban in Afghanistan are telling us that Iran has nukes and is a hellhole for women.
What if , in ten years’ time, the very same media says that there never were any nukes in Iran?

I don’t know about Iran & it’s nukes but I knew several Iranians in my student days in the early 80s who told me about the barbaric Islamic rules under the fanatic mullahs. More recently, a British Iranian woman visiting relatives in Iran was banged up for years on false charges. You seem to be unaware that the US and its war criminal buddy, have been sponsoring and training terrorists too.
“Much like Al Qaeda, the Islamic State (ISIS) is made-in-the-USA, an instrument of terror designed to divide and conquer the oil-rich Middle East and to counter Iran’s growing influence in the region.
The fact that the United States has a long and torrid history of backing terrorist groups will surprise only those who watch the news and ignore history.”
“”For years, Netanyahu propped up Hamas. Now it’s blown up in our faces
The premier’s policy of treating the terror group as a partner, at the expense of Abbas and Palestinian statehood, has resulted in wounds that will take Israel years to heal from.
For years, the various governments led by Benjamin Netanyahu took an approach that divided power between the Gaza Strip and the West Bank — bringing Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas to his knees while making moves that propped up the Hamas terror group.
The idea was to prevent Abbas — or anyone else in the Palestinian Authority’s West Bank government — from advancing toward the establishment of a Palestinian state.
Thus, amid this bid to impair Abbas, Hamas was upgraded from a mere terror group to an organization with which Israel held indirect negotiations via Egypt, and one that was allowed to receive infusions of cash from abroad.”
Paying off the enemy….devious.

A belated comment from me. I hope Iran had prior knowledge that Donald Trump was planning to bomb Iran. Even Joe Biden wanted to do the same last year. I read somewhere that Iran has relocated their nuclear reactors earlier anticipating an attack from Israel.
Trump says the US successfully attacked three nuclear sites in Iran. Everybody, including myself, hoped for the best, but I don’t think anyone was surprised. Trump says NOW IS THE TIME FOR PEACE. Peace? Well, if the attacks were “so successful”, Iran is no longer able to “make” nuclear bombs. If so, Donald Trump can now leave Iran alone.
The International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) is to confirm where there is a radioactive release emanating from the United State’s irresponsible, irrational and reckless bomb attack on Iran’s nuclear sites. Who would bomb a nuclear site? Very very stupid.!!!

Donald Trump talked about WWIII several times in the past. Has he started it today by himself and does he think he can win WWIII?
Donald Trump has conveniently forgotten how the US invaded other countries and killed millions of people in the Middle East and elsewhere. US sanctions on Iran killed hundreds of thousands of people, including 500,000 children. Iran is no longer poor. They have come a long way. It is not Iran’s nuclear power, it is Iran’s military success and economic progress that the US cannot stand. Iran didn’t start this war. Israel and the US did. Therefore, it is them who has to stop the war against Iran.

Dr. Ameer Ali, I only feel for the ordinary Palestinians, their plight and for the ordinary Iranian civilians, as many around 80% of them do not support this crazy Iranian theocracy that is running the current Iranian government and is the root cause of a lot of the problems there. It they who fund and incite the Hamas in Gaza and Hezbollah in Shite dominated southern Lebanon to create problems against the Jewish state, that is now run by rightwing extremists and fanatics, who again a hell bent on destroying the Palestinians, giving them an excuse to do so. Not the largely Sunni Arab states, who are now more moderate, now even Syria, and know better not to give an excuse for Israel to destroy, bomb, kill and ethnically cleanse the civilian Palestinian population, who are the most affected. Non Arab, largely Shia Iran is playing power games and does not care much about the Arabs, whom they Farsi( Persian) traditionally hate. This is going to end in a calamity and tragedy, and Islamic extremist and fanatical Pakistan, which is again largely run by Islamic extremists and a haven for Islamic terrorists, will be playing a double game to create further instability in the region.
