Is Ranil Gay?

By Indi Samarajiva –

Indi Samarajiva

It is commonly said that Ranil Wickremesinghe is gay, but rarely published. Now that’s starting to bubble up. I saw it on W3 Lanka English, and now on Abyss. Oh, I see where it’s coming from. Ranil’s charge sheet (from his own party) includes allegations of sexual harassment, against men.

The United National Party (UNP) dissidents have alleged that party leader Ranil Wickremesinghe has attempted to seduce several young male politicians to have homosexual relations with him, according to a ‘charge sheet’ handed over to the party’s general secretary Tissa Attanayake, last week.

Charge number 16 of the document refers to an alleged incident in which the UNP leader had tried to seduce Matara district UNP MP Buddhika Pathirana into ‘an illicit homosexual relationship with him.’ “When the MP had refused to oblige, the UNP leader has resorted to punishing MP Pathirana by suspending his party membership,” the document stated.

“Sexual overtures of the party leader had exposed the party to dire consequences, and parents are reluctant to send their young male children to participate in party activities,” it has been alleged. (Lakbima News

Gayness

Being gay is totally fine. Even in Sri Lanka you can be gay, as long as you marry a woman. I think this is horrible (girls I know have married gay guys in arranged marriages and it was predictably terrible and short lived). What I mean is that being homosexual is fine even if it’s not accepted by some cultures. Sexual harassment and assault is not fine in any abstraction.

Gay Politicians

In Sri Lanka it’s also quite possible to be a gay politician, as I wrote in The Leader, “In Sri Lanka sex ‘scandals’ are simply not discussed. Extra-marital affairs, homosexuality, pre-marital rape, these all get brushed under the rug.” Again, homosexuality is not in the same category as rape or affairs, it just placed there culturally.

Matara MP Mangala Samaraweera is everything but out. It was commonly said that CBK’s brother Anura Bandaranaike was gay. This didn’t interfere with either of their careers, as it shouldn’t, though for the wrong reasons here. Nobody is out and gay, and nobody does anything about gay rights. It’s just ignored. People joke about it, but no one really cares. Of course, gay men don’t really have sons or found dynasties like Mahinda.

Is Ranil Gay?

Ranil being gay is something everybody knows but, of course, nobody really knows. I met him once and he was in a swimming pool full of young men, but maybe they were bodyguards. I don’t care. I dislike him cause he loses elections, his sex life is his business.

By making it an issue of harassment, however, these dissident UNPers have made it an issue. If this was a woman I’m pretty sure it wouldn’t get play, but now it is. Do I think that he letched on this MP? Honestly, Ranil comes off as more asexual than homosexual. Maybe he did. Maybe it’s just an attack. I’m pretty sure that Ranil is gay, but I don’t think he’s a perv. But who knows. Ranil’s not out, but the persistent rumors are now in print.

Better to be gay than to be political stooges of Mahinda, like you and your dad are. Remember your campaign to elect Milinda Morogoda as mayor of Colombo? So what happened after the elections? Where is Morogoda now? :O

Well we should ask Ranil’s lovely WIFE who wears saintly white and large sun glasses whether he delivers – he may be bi sexual although I too think he is gay and in the final analysis his sexuality is his business. And by the way ALL or most sex whether gay or straight in Lanka is taboo and ignored for as long as possible because modern Lanka has colonial Victorian values…
Anyway to get back to Ranil and wife, what bothers me is not his sexuality but his wife’s hypocracy. She claims to be a great feminist but avoids political positions and is covering for hubby who has lost a thousand elections and DESTROYING DEMOCRACY in LANKA rather than speaking up and asking him to get out of the UNP, hand over to a younger generation and come out of the closet!

Krish is it your gay ability that you consider better than cowardliness? It was you who earlier posted as Kris? The name Vandort should go with Chris and not Krish.

As for Don Carolis, please do not stray in to the unknown. Continue as a Carpenter, as your quality of furniture has dropped in standards very badly. You saw what happened to the Pilot who bacame a Politician. Now a Carpenter turning as a Politician you know where you will end up?

It is no one’s business what his sexual orientation is, and why is this author spending time with this garbage?

It is much productive to discuss Ranil’s role as an opposition leader, which he seems to have failed at.

Panda, with due respect I differ to your position that Ranil has failed as a Politician or as an Opposition member. After being a Junior Minister of Education under JR, he was responsible to have introduced the Tertiary Education System. Thereafter he functioned under RP as Minister of Industries and RP was rather critical and suspicious of him at first thinking he was not putting his whole weight behind RP. Just as RP began to settle down with the end of JVP he was no more and there was not much happening under DBW again. Thereafter RW regains his position in the UNP after the demise of GD and manages to form a govt. in December 2002 for a short period of two years as Prime Minister and he suscessfully not only turns the Country’s Economy around that had gone in to recession for the first time in the history of this country but also RW signs the CFA brokered by the World body to bring about a semblance of Peace. For the greediness of power by CBK she topples RW in 2004. Thereafter RW is lambasted as a Traitor by MR, supported by Mangala, Sreepathi and the rest for signing the CFA and accused of harbouring agreements with VP of the LTTE whereas it is none other than MR has had agreements with VP and the LTTE to become President. RW is prevented by the International powers mainly India and the US not to challenge the election of MR obviously these forces being at the bottom of everything. From then on, how MR has steered this country is known to everyone embracing all the Corrupt in the UNP offering Ministry Posts and how MR stage managed all the elections thereafter ably supported by those who are today calling for the removal of MR and the unrest created within the UNP, where MR has used a section of the UNP, to oust RW. What is significant is that RW has shone over others in respect to his Honesty, Integrity and conduct of himself without uttering false promises and blatant lieing. These qualities alone suffice for RW to take Leadership of this country under todays context where the society is crying for Honesty, Law and Order. His sexual preferences are not the subject in issue as he does not openly flaunt so, as others do. What I urge is to give the Devil his due for the salvation of all of us and the country as there will not be abother chance.

        0

I agree with your analysis on the whole situation and endorsement of RW’s ability. He is now an experienced politician and could do better if he is given another chance. His being is Gay has become a public matter and he too has not denied. There are also others, former and present, who having their wives at home went and do go in the dark of the night secretly visiting other women. But the problem is the UNP too had its chances alternatively to govern the country. Each time the took-over they made more muddles adding to that created by the earlier Govt. of the SLFP coalition. So it would better in the interest of the country for a movement of the civil society led by non-political intellects, academics, professionals to think of taking-over the affairs of the country.

@ Lankan Muslim Uk & Gamini
Which world r you folks living in. Whether Ranil is Gay or Straight should not be anyone’s concern. The crux of the matter is Ranil has not only destroyed the UNP, but Sri Lankan polity as well. We all agree MR is a goof, thanks to the so called stature and experience of Ranil he is continuing. Also, remember, MR is frowned (including me) upon for being a dictator, but Ranil is no better. He has the audacity to elect his electors and dictate to the UNP! Imagine him in MR’s seat? Think about it!

People like Samarajeewa who comment on sexual orientation of others in public, are the scum of society.
    Ranil is NOT corrupt.
This is the the main attribute of anyone aspiring for/holding elective ofice.
His political career is an entirely different matter.

Is it? People who blindly supporting Rani W. should know about what Ranil said in parliament in the debate of the murdered journalist Richard de Zoysa* .

Ranil said Richard was a homosexual in a country where homosexuality remains unlawful, and he even tabled Richerd’s personal diaries, which Richard wrote in Sinhala language saying ” Mama ohuva shaaririkava akkramanaya kala” etc. Dragging Richerd’s homosexuality Ranil tried to portray the entire abduction and killing incident was a privet matter related to his sexuality. So why cannot other’s talk about Ranil’s sexual origination?

*Richard was killed in 1990 believed to be by a death squad. In the early hours of February 18th 1990 a Sri Lankan government death squad abducted journalist and television newsreader Richard de Zoysa from his home in Colombo.

He is trying [Edited out] The writer thinks 2-feet high Buddhika with lot of protruding bones and skins and fewer muscles makes himself an attraction to Ranil! Poor chap! If Ranil wanted such a relationship he would have found some plump boy for enjoyment, but I don’t think Ranil is gay. He is a decent and intelligent man and when these rubbish eaters have nothing to use against Ranil they turn to this type of mudslinging articles. Ranil being gay is his business , its sad its becoming an issue .

The issue is that he will not win an election. unfortunately the UNP has no one to fill the post.

    Karu crossed over
Sajith ran away when elections were called in the UNP and lot of his supporters were let down

So we are a country with a CORRUPT government and its a free for all looting .

The JVP are only good when it comes to talking . they are a pack of Rogues .

These guys make more efforts in finding his sexual orientation rather than trying to unite them as united opposition to fight against the mess created by Ruling Thugs today.

Masses of this country is interested not in his sex life, but the manner the opposition could work together to protect the democractic values that is deterirating to appalling levels today.

This writer is a glowing example of what scum of the earth means. My god! Duddhika pathirana, that two footer! He should be glad if a woman is interested in him, let alone a man. An empty bottle has more personality than Buddhika Pathirana. He must be wishing that SOMEONE is interested in him sexually. What a loser!WHY would Ranil display such bad, unhygieinc, stupid taste, even if he were gay! Shame on this website for publishing this crap article.

Dear Indi Samarajiva, I think you posted your article in the wrong site. This would have probably gone down well in the dailynews.lk or asiantribune.com or defence.lk sites. Maybe when you have the time you will write an article about which Democracy in the world has the president, defense secretary, speaker of parliament and minister of economic development all coming from one family, with over 70% of the countries economy handled by them while an assorted number of family members and relations hold key posts or are CEOs of government organisations? :)

As much as I may have my differences of opinion about Ranil Wickramasinghe, his personal life does not come into the equation when I criticize his inadequacy in his role as an opposition leader and the leader of the UNP. We all have skeletons in the closet as the saying goes, how do we know what this Samarajeewa is hiding in his closet? I know he’s a Royalist, but to run down a fellow Royalist in this manner is beyond comprehension. If you don’t have anything worthwhile to write, better not write at all, than writing garbage like this.

    @CT and fellow readers.
This is one of the most disgusting articles posted on this website and the should be ashamed that he willingly published such a rubbish article from a sick writer, who might be even working for the Rajapakses.

There could be a ghost writer..

Would the editor like an article titles is “CT Editor gay” or is he something else like Mervyn Silva, Kudu Silva Weerawansa, or some Buddhist Priest. CT should not abuse their position of publishing such sick articles immaterial what Ranil’s sexual orientations and assumed preferences are.

As Gamini pointed out Ranil is a two time Prime Minister, the most senior Parliamentarian together with Sambandan and has several years of being Minister, and leader of the opposition and UNP. He is a qualified attorney, unlike boru or exempted law degrees such as Mahinda and Namal, or no degrees for Gota and Basil or police inspector Chamal.

Premadasa, claims that he has got degrees from LSE, between 1995-1998, and where are those certificates that he boast. Even Ghaddafi’s son has a master’s from LSE.

If some of Premadasa’s golaya’s has made some complaint’s about Ranil in their utter desperation, the UNP as the alternative party to form the next government will deal with it. Buddhika is a MP and a capable man, and he lending his name to such virulent attacks on a senior party leader of decades, is simply mind boggling.

But what is CT’s role here? Please do not get involved in such mud racking and shitty articles like this. Try and upgrade your self and the website Mr. Editor..

It is you who owe Ranil an apology and not some C………..k [Edited out] like Samarajiva or his [Edited out]. I won’t comment on how ugly the author is. Does he look like [Edited out]?

There was a systematic evil plan carried out by MR regime to get rid of the best defense personnel who were loyal to Gen.Fonseka.Also it got rid of top Policeofficer, judiciary, economists, diplomats, reporters, businessmen and other valuable citizen by either sending them early retirement or bringing false allegations against them. Now the country is governed by 100% MR loyal henchmen mostly who know nothing of their jobs and who are mostly corrupt and want to hang onto their posts at whatever cost. SB,PCR,BG,Mervin,Johanny are few of them. Also MR use whatever criminal method to hang on to his power. This is the current situation of the country.

Is Ranil gay or straight – I don’t care.

I’m a Tamil. In my life, only during Ranil’s last term in office I wore a Sri Lankan shirt (I never did before because other regimes that ruled did not make me to feel I am a Sri Lankan) went to watch Eng Vs SL cricket match in London. Ranil, during his last term in office treated the MINORITIES AS SRI LANKANS IN DEEDS AND WORDS. I salute him for signing the CFA with the LTTE, but the LTTE messed it up that’s another story.

He genuinely worked hard to find a peaceful resolution to the conflict without slaughtering innocent people with MBRL, cluster bombs, heavy weapons, chemical weapons etc etc. I will not be surprised if he wins the Nobel Prize for Peace in the coming years.

I think people who comment here missed the whole point of this discussion. If Ranil is not gay he should say ‘no’ , if yes he should admit it.
    Read about Category:Gay politicians here;
    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Category:Gay_politicians

Of course being a gay is not a problem as Mr. Indi Samarageeva says. The issue is hypocrisy. In Sri Lanka there is a gay rights movement. But no politician is willing to support them including Ranil. It is because not like western countries its a taboo subject. They think this so called Sinhla Buddhists will oppose it and it will not good for in electoral politics. But it’s a myth. Read Robert Knox, what said was Homosexuality is a normal thing in Sri Lanka even under the Sri Lankan Kings. Its normal in Buddhist temples. He called it “the Game of the temple” = ( Pansale Sellama)
On Buddhism and sexual orientation, Jackson scholar of sexual politics and Buddhism in Thailand explains:

“Buddhism, the middle path, has always been concerned w
ith the maintenance of social order and since the Buddha’s time the sangha has never claimed to provide a universal vehicle for the spiritual liberation of all individuals in society, explicitly excluding those who are considered to reflect badly on the monkhood in terms of prevailing social norms and attitudes,” (Wikipedia).

Gayness in Sri Lanka: “Being gay is totally fine. Even in Sri Lanka you can be gay, as long as you marry a woman… Horrible!” https://www.colombotelegraph.com/index.php/is-ranil-gay/

(WIKIPEDIA http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Buddhism_and_sexual_orientation) Buddhism and sexual orientation: The relationship between Buddhism and sexual orientation varies by tradition and teacher. According to some scholars, early Buddhism appears to have placed no special stigma on homosexual relations, since the subject was not mentioned. Some later traditions do feature sanction of homosexual contact.

Lay followers and monastic practices: In the early sutras of Buddhism, “accepted or unaccepted human sexual conduct” for laypersons “is not specifically mentioned.”
“Sexual misconduct” is a broad term, subject to interpretation according to followers’ social norms. Early Buddhism appears to have placed no special stigma on homosexual relations.

The situation is different for monastics. For them, the Vinaya (code of monastic discipline) bans all sexual activity, but does so in purely physiological terms, making no moral distinctions among the many possible forms of intercourse it lists.

Among Buddhists there is a wide diversity of opinion about homosexuality. Buddhism teaches that sensual enjoyment and desire in general, and sexual pleasure in particular, are hindrances to enlightenment, and inferior to the kinds of pleasure (see, e.g. pīti, a Pāli word often translated as “rapture”) that are integral to the practice of jhāna. However, most Buddhists do not pursue skill in meditation or aim for enlightenment. For most, the goal is a pleasant life and, after death, a pleasant rebirth. For these Buddhists, enjoying sensual pleasures in a non-harmful way is normative.

Regarding transsexual people, the earliest texts mention the possibility of a person changing sexes; such a person is not barred from ordination, and if already ordained, simply changes orders. Within the earliest monastic texts such as the Vinaya (c. 4th century BCE), male monks are explicitly forbidden from having sexual relations with any of the four genders: male, female, ubhatovyanjañaka and paṇḍaka; various meanings of these words are given below. Later, the Buddha allowed the ordination of women, but forbade ordination to these other types of people. The Buddha’s proscriptions against certain types of people joining the monastic sangha (ordained community) are often understood to reflect his concern with upholding the public image of the sangha as virtuous; in some cases, this is explicitly stated. Social acceptability was vital for the sangha, as it could not survive without material support from lay society….

LGBT people in later traditions: Some modern commentators interpret the word ubhatovyanjañaka as including those who are not physical hermaphrodites, but display behavioral and psychological characteristics of both sexes, such as a woman who is attracted to other women.

In other texts, the term paṇḍaka can include those born sexually indeterminate or with no sex, eunuchs, those whose sexuality changes every half month, males who gain sexual satisfaction by performing fellatio on other men, and voyeurs. It sometimes includes males or females with any sexual dysfunction, such as impotence or irregular menstrual cycles. The common element seems to be those whose sexuality is either limited physiologically, or those who have “perverse” or extra sexuality. Together these “third sex” types are almost always portrayed negatively as a pariah class, especially in the earliest texts. In modern contexts, paṇḍaka is often interpreted to include lesbians, gay men, and transgender and intersex people, although in ancient times, a man who sexually penetrated another man or a paṇḍaka was not himself considered a paṇḍaka.

In the Samantapasadika, a work of the fifth century CE Theravadin commentator and scholar Buddhaghosa’s, paṇḍaka are described as being filled with defiling passions (ussanakilesa), unquenchable lusts (avapasantaparilaha) and are dominated by their libido (parilahavegabhibhuta). Fourth century Buddhist writer Vasubandhu contends that the paṇḍaka has no discipline for spiritual practice, due to their defiling passions of both male and female sexes. They lack the moral fortitude to counter these passions because they lack modesty and shame. Incapable of showing restraint, such a being is abandoned by their parents and lacking such ties are unable to hold strong views.

The Abhidharma states that a paṇḍaka cannot achieve enlightenment in their own lifetime, but must wait for reincarnation as a normal man or woman. Ananda—Buddha’s cousin and disciple—was said to be a paṇḍaka in one of his many previous lives, as was the Buddhist nun Isidāsī (from the Therigatha). In both cases birth as a paṇḍaka was a result of poor karma, and the idea that being a paṇḍaka stems from bad behaviour in a previous life is common in Buddhist literature.

Buddha’s proscriptions against certain types of people joining the monastic sangha (ordained community) are often understood to reflect his concern with upholding the public image of the sangha as virtuous. Thus, sexually active people, especially those with unusual sexual tastes, and people of a third gender—along with criminals and disabled people—run the risk of bringing the order into disrepute. Peter Jackson, scholar of sexual politics and Buddhism in Thailand, speculates that the Buddha was initially reluctant to allow women to join the sangha for this reason.

So, please talk the subject and challenge this social stigma, rather than attacking the writer or the CT.

Kushan and Hema are the only two wise who have been able to understand the importance of the article of this Indi Samarajiva, wanting to know whether Ranil is Gay? Is it that Kushan and Hema are both guys? and Gay? Sure, you both do not want to know the length of Ranil’s penis? Anything else you want to know of Ranil’s anatomy? whether he has more than one? Typical Sri Lankans these buggers are claiming to be journalists. Here the country is burning without Law and Order, Cost of Living gone sky high and the average wage earners finding dfficult to make ends meet, Little children are raped and some killed by no less than Chairmen of PCs, Corruption has no leaps or bounds and these scum of characters only concern is whether Ranil is Gay? MR is making use of every trick in the book to oust RW. The more he tries, the stronger RW becomes. The only possible way to find out whether Ranil is gay for any interested, is to bring one’s wife, sister or mother and offer Ranil.

Come dawn, Mr. Gamini, You talk everything, but when it comes to Ranil you get angry. The point here is homosexuality and social stigma. As a political leader who is going take the power of this country should comment on subject. Why he is not talking a single word about our gay rights ?? We want him to support our campaign.

          0

Hema, I realy do not know to come DAWN. Possibly must be one of your gay terms. Why should Ranil express his sexual preferences? That is his business entirely. Since when has this subject of interest dawned? Homosexuality is as old as the world’s oldest profession. Hema, If you all are interested in your campaign, then become abiththayas in Temples. I read your long narative, but I wish to inform that the Subject of Homosexuality was brought up with Buddha to which he had replied it is unavoidable. I will quote verse and chapter soon. He never at any time restricted any indulging in homosexuality preventing them from becoming priests. So do not try to distort history.

Hema, why are you waiting for Ranil to come to power, because according to his critics he will never become President. So why don’t you propose to MR your campaign for Gay Rights? Only thing is when you go to discuss with MR take a pound of butter with you as otherwise you might not be able to walk back home. This is just in case, who knows?

Do you fuckers know what sexuality is? Do you know the late Sir Arthur C Clerk was gay? Haha…you [Edited out] must now be twitching to run in and utter your bovine thoughts! Do you know that your sexual hardware-not just the penis or vagina but the whole process including the brain’s sex area, drives and orientations are genetically driven and oriented? Do you know that you can’t do anything about your genes and their inborn functions and movements? Do you “female males” know that you all are having “female” in you? Do you know that there are humans whose sexuality cannot be decided as male or female-there are females with outward appearances of females like breasts, wide hip, contours and looks feminish, feminish voice but they have a penis! (If you are so desperate go to one of them to satiate your never ending lust!) And what do you perverts say about this type of mutations of gene arrangements in nature? This is purely a question of monkeys trying to assume the role of the Maha Brahma the creator of man and the earth so to speak! Those girls with male organs are called she-males-if you are not sure or don’t know about them browse the web and see the world as it is! What and how do you think their thought process should be vis a vis their sexual drives needs and desires? Go to the nearest place of your faith and ask God for forgiveness for your horrendous stupidity! Idiots!!!!

Sexuality does matter in politics as far as he or she doesn’t accept it in public, If he or she cannot comment on sexuality how they going to rule the country? can we accept them as genuine leader?

Ranil was accused by Buddhika Pathirana, what happened to that inquiry? where is the accountability?

Abiththayo, are you talking of Abuddika Pathirna the andana kolla? Have you not heard that Mervyn Silva also claimed at a Public rally with President MR on stage that Ranil tried to approach him. What happened to that claim? When all of you have failed to remove this weak man Ranil and fail, then you character assasinate him. Anyway good try and keep on trying!

Sexuality is secondary so long the person´s behaviour is dignfied. This is common to many in the west even today. More or less Ranil has proved his genuineness in the recent past. Ranil is the great leader who has not abused state properties sofar to the manner that MR thugs have been continuing. Majority of our people are not aware of what the country is facing today. Instead of discussing alarming issues, bloody journalists of this low grade seem to be adding articles of this sort to attack him personally. As commented above, more you attack, much stronger he will be. No doubt about that.

So tell me what cause you to accept MR as genuine leader today ? As one who has murdered the judiciary int he country.. why you guys keep behaving as blind folded ?

Rani, you do not know what led to this episode, where Ranil was made use of by Premadasa to cover the murder of Richard de Zoysa. Premadasa never liked educated in Parliament. However It would have been too much for Premadasa to get rid of Gamini, Lalith and Ranil all at once. Premadasa once at a Cabinet meeting rattled and virtually threatened Ranil also. Had Ranil confronted Premadasa that day Ranil would have been out of politics long time ago. Ranil being astute he remained quiet. When Sirisena Cooray crowd killed Richard de Zoysa and when it came up in Parliament, Premadasa selected Ranil and made use of him. That is what happened. I am sorry I can not reveal more than this lest I reveal myself.

Gamini, I even don’t want to know, what has happened behind the doors. The fact is Ranil did expose and talk about Richerd’s sexuality. So why cannot talk Ranil’s? That is the main issue here.

The person who wrote that speech and compelled Ranil to read, is today working closely with MR.

First and foremost let me explain the two words CT editor had censored on my response to this [Edited out] Indi who might not even look like [Edited out].

    [Edited out].
On a website where the editor loves to use the words in full of “Fuc………..g” Vagina, Vagina penetration by the old Buddhist monk, Vagina cream, all with “gay abandon, I see no reason why CT had edited it out giving the impression I had used some ‘bad language”.

This is an adult website, which now appears having much interest selectively about Ranil as the UNP leader. One has to investigate where the “hidden hand” here is.

Only fact we know is that Ranil is a decent, honest, and happily married man. He has no skeletons like Mahinda Rajapakse going to Geneva as a opposition MP, together with current minister Vasudeva Nanayakara, to complain against a democratically elected government in 1989, and interesting seeking Tamara Kunanayagams help there.. There are much more dirty gossip about the Rajapakses since then, as well as how they are robbing the country/people and driving everybody to bankruptcy..

Ranil is nearly 64, and now some of you bloody “Purist” are worried whether he is “gay” or straight and having free discussions on it, like some “porn site”. This is sickening and you better get your act straight. Also please remember what goes around will come around, and that is what is going on in Sunday Leader. lol.

Why don’t write about that? I bet you won’t.

    Your Excellency

In Sri Lanka there are numerous cases of Rape by the Sri Lankan soldiers before and after the conclusion of the brutal war in May 2009. This brutal war has left more than 80,000 war widows, most of them in their twenties. The Army of Occupation in the ratio of one soldier for every eight civilians [ 01 : 08 ] is responsible for the rapes & torture of Tamil women and girls in the North & East. The DRACONIAN Prevention of Terrorism Act [PTA] I is still in force which give wide powers and immunity to the Sri Lankan soldiers to commit any crime and get away due to this DRACONIAN ACT. Kindly read the statements, reports regarding rapes for more information and necessary action. Thank you
    Yours Truly,

    Kumarathasan Rasingam
    PRESIDENT.

    INDICTMENT AGAINST SRI LANKA
State Terror – the Record Speaks…

Rape & Murder of Tamil Women “Sri Lankan soldiers have raped both women and young girls on a massive scale, and often with impunity, since reporting often leads to reprisals against the victims and their families..” World Organization against Torture

“The Sri Lankan security forces are using systematic rape and murder of Tamil women to subjugate the Tamil population… Impunity continues to reign as rape is used as a weapon of war in Sri Lanka.” Asian Human Rights Commission

“..On average, a Tamil woman is raped by members of the Sri Lankan security forces every two weeks. The real number is inevitably higher since many cases are unreported. Every two months a Tamil woman is gang-raped and murdered by the Sri Lankan security forces.”Statement by NGO, Women Against Rape, at United Nations Commission on Human Rights

This Indi S. seems to be an Anti Tamil, racist-chauvinist from his writing. Cannot understand what his gripe about Ranil as he clearly is a Rajapakse supporter. He really has no connections with the UNP dissenters or rebels, but possibly a paid agent of the Rajapakses.

Whether he is gay or not we do not know, but seems to be a “friend of Colombo Telegraph. he uses the word “Fuck” freely in his article and editor turns the other cheek. Quote”

The extreme Sinhalese oppose any investigation because, to paraphrase, fuck them. The mainstream, however, has conducted a flawed investigation which nonetheless took the huge steps of admitting that civilians died and that abuses did occur (Lessons Learnt and Reconciliation Commission Highlights). The argument therein was that these losses were proportional to a broader aim – ending the war and uniting the country. That said, the next step would be civil rights.

    The War Debate

I think why this isn’t enough is that the TNA et al don’t agree with the proportionality at all. They don’t see a united Sri Lanka as a desirable outcome at all, so any price would be too high for such a thing. It’s like asking a Muslim how much they’d pay for a ham sandwich. Nothing, less than nothing. They don’t want a ham sandwich at all. They’re not debating war crimes, they’re debating the entire war.

What they want out of investigations is not specifics of what went wrong and redress for that, the essentially want the whole premise rolled back, to say that the war itself was wrong.

    Unquote”

This freaking B….. also defends the killing of thousands of Tamils as per the United Nations expert panel report, and even Silva report which they cunningly and deliberately avoid the approximate numbers, 10, 20, 30, 40 or 100,000 civilians.

Indi or the Silva report avoids what the Bishop of Mannar had said of the number of persons killed and missing. 146,464….Silva report has no recommendation about accountability, Truth and Justice for the civilians killed deliberately and it was not a collateral damage..

For the CT editor” Next time these type of authors write rubbish which are not even published anywhere, please “Censor the PROFANITY” WORDS SUCH AS FUCK”.

      Dear Donald,
Oh, the irony of a self-proclaimed racist, chauvinist ageing zero of the overseas Eelam movement like yourself accusing other people of the same crime, without providing any proof! :) :)

If you’d bothered to read Indi’s blog, you’d realise that he is not Anti Tamil a racist or chauvinist, unlike you, who wrote:
“Gratitude is a virtue seldom in a man, and never ever in the Sinhalese

How are the War Crimes Investigations against Sri Lanka proceeding?

How much money has “Tamils Against Justice” spent on this quest?

How is Bruce Fein’s bank balance? Has he provided you with value for money? :) :)

And here is something Indi wrote when he was a supporter of Ranil. :)

          Why I Support Ranil

As a young man living abroad, I chose to return to Sri Lanka. People ask me if I came back to ‘serve’ Sri Lanka or whatever, but it’s nothing so noble. I came back because I saw a better future in Sri Lanka than anywhere else in the world. Ranil was building that future from 2001-2003, and I came back because of him. This country has been at war my entire life, and he ended it. This country was been mired in backwards economic policies while India and China charged ahead, but Ranil set Sri Lanka on a pace to shine. My parents gave me every opportunity abroad, but I chose Sri Lanka because of Ranil. He was leading the country to a great and prosperous future, and I want him back. I honestly feel like the future I want to build here depends on it, and I believe that this election will make or break my generation.

My parents had to deal with terrorism, police states, ration cards and worse. My whole life all I ever heard from Sri Lanka was bomb blasts. I don’t want that. I just want to make a living and see more people get on the Internet and that’s all. For years Sri Lankan politicians have let people go to bed with hate for dinner and national dress to keep them warm. That’s all Mahinda and the JVP offer me. Ranil, on the other hand, began delivering a kick-ass Sri Lanka in 2001. I want him to continue. That’s why I support Ranil.

PresiDunce Bean, thank you for the link. There is a saying in Sinhalese ‘Gangen wathura beela, Muhudata awadanawa’ It literaly means having drunk water from the River for thirst, one adorns the Sea. It is typical of these buggers, for a pot of Rajapaksa shit these buggers will sell their mothers even. After gaining from the very UNP they turn to MR for sustenance. An ungrateful lot with no gratitude. We have not received anything special from the UNP, but we yet support the Party for Principles, dedication and the Honesty of the Leadership as he is the only person who will be able to uphold Law and Order, without fear or favour, whatever others say.

Hay donky [Edited out] Ranil, first avoid impersonating under a gentleman’s name and use a name such as Gona or Buruwa which suits better for you. This SLFPers and their henchmen are the ones who plunged this country to the present state affairs. The original two buffalos to start this mongul process were SWRDB and DA Rajapaksha. This party of beggars have been destroying this country ever since and the present set of ruling beggars are the worst in the long line of beggars. Richard Zoysa was another media whore like the present day media whores who are operating stanching laundries for the rogue regime. It is these media whores that are doing the worst damage to the people by deforming facts and withholding correct information from people. Considering the most ugly and aversional nature of these media whores, their underpants lowering and posterior offering to MARA and GORA and considering the perversion and destruction these media whores are doing to the Sri Lankan society no one cares a shit even if these boutique boy whores are killed on the roads like astray dogs and when such a dog is got rid of it is immaterial whether it is done at present time or was done at some point in history. If Sirasa media whore is to be blasted into pieces today with all its lying bastards and whores and top whore Killi Maharaja no one would complain-in fact everybody would be happy and light fire crackers and eat kiribath! So bastards and those bastardly supporters of MARA regime must be aware of the ire of the people which would explode in the foreseeable future-remember Syria, Libya, Tunisia etc? Ranil [Edited out], find out a culvert to hide when all the hungry Sinhalese Buddhist [Edited out] are chasing after your testicles. Idiot !!!

Hey the War Crimes investigations are going on fine.
In case you all did not notice, not a single bloody Rajapakse came for the Olympics in July. LMAO.
US citizens do not come to USA? Wonder why?
They only visit fellow war criminals in Sudan or Iran. Ha Ha Ha…

Tamils sent 2 Billion dollars to Sri Lanka and fill the Sri Lankan airline flights. They pay $50,000 to sail on a dangerous fishing boat owned by the bloody Sinhalese, which includes bribes to the Navy to get the F……. out of Sri Lanka without any visas to any where.

140,000 Tamil refugees in India do not want to return 40 months after the war. Wonder why?

The Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu have kicked students of Royal College out of India when they went to play footbal and the sir force went for training… Did you wonder why?

It is because of War Crimes and defying war crimes investigations.

War crimes will eventually catch up on the criminals and murderers who also murdered people like Lasantha and Premachandra… There is no LTTE to be blamed ah?

Where is Emilkanthan who was given money by the Rajapakses to instal them in power in 2005?? That too is a war crime in the USA for US citizens…who have no immunity in the US.. Including killing surrendering POW’s with white flag… and much more..

Don’t you worry you puny morons, since you have no bone in this battle. This is about American war criminals and not about some cowards and non entities… Bruce Fein was in courts last week harassing your President’s attorneys and PR consultants who are paid millions of dollars of the tax payer every year both in USA and UK. In case some of the idiots who did not know that while Sri Lanka is dependent on housemaids in the middle east sending $100 dollars a month and many are unemployed or kept in the army to have the unemployment figures below 10%. What a Parasite Island it is selling Sinhalese boys at the beach. (Children). Disgraceful…
Ya Go fight with the 66 million Tamils in Tamil Nadu about the War Crimes and they are now contemplating trade union action against Sri Lanka in Tamil Nadu ports and airports..

      Dear Donald,
So, what happened to Bruce Fein Anna after he took your money and joined another overseas Eelamist group? Did he come back to you and return the money he (allegedly) took?

You (allegedly) said this in 2011: “Bruce Fein previously represented Tamils For Justice, and without any notice decided to leave and join this new group (Justice for Thamils) as per their website, giving some incredible, lame and flimsy excuse. The website was created with the approval of attorney Bruce Fein, Sriskandarajahs, Sreetharans and many more by Subakanth Pararajasingam.”

      http://tinyurl.com/bqexdts

Or are these all filthy lies concocted by the genocidal Sri Lankan defence establishment to sow discord and suspicion amongst the of ageing zeros of the overseas Eelam movement?

How do you know that Bruce Fein isn’t a double agent working for Gota’s special unit?

if Tamils are paying $50,000 per boat trip, why aren’t they going to Tamil Nadu, which is only a few miles away from “genocidal” Sri Lanka?

Why are they braving “genocidal” Australian sharks, large ‘genocidal’ ocean waves and other genocidal dangers to risk a long sea voyage to Australia, when it’s much safer and quicker to get to Tamil Nadu?

p.s. I’m still waiting for you to provide any proof of your original accusation that Indi’s writing is “Anti Tamil, racist and chauvinistic”.

If you’re having difficulty understanding English, let me help you with a definition of the word ‘proof’ = “Evidence or argument establishing or helping to establish a fact or the truth of a statement”

    @Mango and Krish

    I have written this yesterday.
    Quote”
I do not throw stones on shit lest it spread..
You all should talk to the deaf and blind of twenty years ago.”
    Unquote.

This would certainly apply to you both. Unequivocally.

The issue here is the vulgar and malicious article published in the CT.
My divorce, winning the full child custody 10 years ago, wealth, or lack thereof is none of you MOTHER F……….business. CT editor -Please note and understand that as well. Same with where I have my assets.

@CT editor -I would recommend that you do not publish this type of slanderous articles of opposition politicians, in the future or ever.

    Mango/Krish

You Sinhalese know only to steal and rob as seen during the riots of 1958, 1977, and 1983, and in Vanni, as well as burn homes and vehicles. Rajapakses destroyed 260,000 Tamil homes in 7 years and damaged much more, as well as over 100,000 vehicles, and cycles and motor cycles.. They even sold the leftover for scrap and spare parts and earned money. It is a wonder these Mother F………s did not sell their bones to the Chinese. May be Chinese refused to trade with those Sinhala Malaperatheyas…

If you are proud of what housemaids do in Dubai to earn that extra money, with special “tricks”, Congratulations. And Good luck. Wish those Sinhalese women many more tricks and dollars, so that you can be more proud of and Rajapakses and the country which depends on their women to earn foreign exchange in this manner more dollars by the millions.

It is also the Juki Girls and the Tamil plantation women who have been exploited for decades who generate most of the $9 Billion export foreign exchange for Sri Lanka. Wonder, what the 74% of the Sinhalese men do other than rape, torture and kill? I am not talking of the beach boys in the South and West who are leased to the foreign tourist by the day or week as SEX TOURISM. Disgraceful Bas,…….. s you all are to be proud of such foreign exchange income.

War Crimes is public business of Americans and America where ever it happens including Sri Lanka. That is proceeding well. Bruce Fein is part of the legal team working on it for the Tamils and well paid by the Tamil Group. Tamils always unite in this ONE goal to get the War Criminals in America and elsewhere. Do not doubt the Tamil resolve and resoluteness, or determination how long it may take.

The 70 Million Tamils in South India, and tens of millions elsewhere also join in for this effort, however long it may take. Even a life time for some. That would be a deterrence for other rapist, torturers, killers and war criminals not only in Sri Lanka but else where. Rajapakses can re write the history in election platforms, cover up the murders and other war crimes but Truth and Justice will always prevail.

SL should be careful and cautious in pissing in the air.
Inviting strong sanctions, boycott and damaging Trade Union action.
Tamil Sri Lankans have no problem visiting TN. It is only the Sinhalese or Tamils like Thirukumar Nadesan who is married to Nirupama Rajapakse.
