The Joint Opposition has made a formal request to Speaker Karu Jayasuriya, requesting him to review the manner in which the Office of the Missing Persons (OMP) Bill was passed in Parliament on Thursday.

MP Dinesh Gunawardena has claimed that procedures were not followed and the Government has passed the legislation in violation of the Constitution. He also added that the Bill, which was passed in a hurried manner by the Government had not followed due procedure, thereby violating the standing orders of Parliament.
Therefore, Gunawardena has requested Jayasuriya to review the manner in which the Bill was passed, and rectify the mistakes.
On August 11, the Office of the Missing Persons Bill was passed in Parliament without a vote. The Bill was passed amidst continuing verbal protests by members of the Joint Opposition, who claimed that the Bill contained dangerous provisions and can be a risk to the national security and unity.
Following the passing of the Bill, the United States was among the first to congratulate Sri Lanka saying that the Bill was an important and historic step in Sri Lanka’s pursuit of justice, reconciliation and accountability for all.

It is not just they did not vote, they did not use the allocated time to make their speeches in the parliament against the bill. The bill is to fool IC, mainly Secretary Kerry and Ambassador Atul Keshap.
Joint Comedians club is big travesty itself. It their gang ruling in the Yahapalanaya New Royal Government and they two are exchanging idea and secrets under the table in a brotherly fashion. To some extent the Joint Comedy Drama is supported and funded by Yahapalanaya club, secretly. Ranil has a big admiration for the Old King, the Modern Dutugamunu. On the request of Nava Dutugamunu, Ranil Mahata went to New York to demand Ban-Ki-Moon to shred the UNSG’s Expert Panel’s report (The so called Darusman report by the Sinhala Intellectuals). Ranil Mahata refused to sign ICC to save this man class’s criminals. Ranil matha won the election promising “No Leader, No, Commander and no soldier will be investigated”. On the election night when Secretary Kerry was chasing Old King out of Temple Tree House, Ranil went there and promised to Old King that he will protect him. These all are under the table deals and none of the involved is ready to release the Audio-Video of the dealing to the people to come to know the truth. Up to today, in spite of suffering of much duress, pressure and coercions Ranil had upheld this promise but let all other promises he gave in the election campaign time to go. If anyone from IC community express concern about these, Ranil Mahata immediately hush them “don’t shout, we are giving a solution to Tamils, if you talk loud, Joint Opposition going to hear it and oppose it”.
This is confusing the IC other than diplomat, Ambassador Atul Keshap, who is working for Yahapalanaya, claims he has built marvelous relationship with Lankawe, but that is not one single MP or the minister of Yahapalanaya government has echoed. Specifically Mangala has claimed he had better relationship Secretary Condoleezza Rice and he praised her as a friend of Lankawe. What so far Ambassador Atul Keshap achieved is downgraded a mighty nation’s pride and dwindled it like Oliver twist in front of Bumble, while if America put its hand of the GSP+ Lankawe will take a flight to moon to borrow a measure of rice. He too is aware of it so he may be buying out time to Lankawe to prepare a protection against this threat. When India made a naive invasion into Lankawe and backed up, Lankawe has built a strong wall against India with the help of China. One may remember how the Indian diplomats Narayan, Shiva Shankara Menon and Nirupama Rao worked hard for the Chinese commission and surrendered India to Lankawe. That is why their PM Manmohan Singh exasperated “If we tell Lankawe it is not listening, for that what can I do” After threat of Secretary Kerry to Old King, that is the kind of help Ambassador Atul Keshap is providing to Lankawe against America in the name of building marvelous relationship with Lankawe. America, by its friendship, has given the GSP+ Facility to Lankawe. It is in Ambassador Atul Keshap period, Lankawe had made arrange to reduce the importance of it working with China. In that developments, Ambassador’s claim of that he has built a better relationship with Lankawe is an un-reconcilable statement. Ambassador Atul Keshap has practically dismantled all the mechanism built by past ambassadors like Robert Blake, Michelle Sisson and Patricia Butenis. With cooperation of Ambassador Atul Keshap, Lankawe’s Yahapalanaya is able to work with Brother Prince, Dinesh Gunawardene, Old King, Wimal and all others of the Joint comedy club. This is the victory, if you carefully observe in his comment, Anthony Peter is celebrating. Other than that, whether it is my inability grabs or not, I could see anything else Anthony Peter’s celebration.
It is in this background Rajitha claimed that in March 2017, at UNHRC, the international pressure on them will be made to go fizzle out. The outstanding matter on UNHRC is the watered out resolution formed based on the teeth of its, the names of the 42 criminals plugged out by High Commissioner Prince Zeid. Joint comedians did not take any action on the fake OMP bill when it was passing in the parliament which you too accepting. There were Yahapalanaya ministers gave speeches that why the Joint Comedians did not go for Court even though the bill was flawed. It was a call from Yahapalanaya to remind the Joint Comedians to let no chance for outsiders to form any suspicions on the passing of the bill. Otherwise the Yahapalanaya Ministers would have vehemently opposed Joint Comedians surrendering the power of the Parliament to Court, which Ranil Mahata advocated in CJ Shiranee dismissal, when he refused to go to court. So, Dinesh is agreeing or consenting to the proposal for a court action. But the CT’s sketchy note missing the detail of the technical points that will be contested in the Court. But it is irrelevant how a case going to presented in Lankawe’s Supreme Court. Court has an excellent ability to circumvent anything and always award an excellent ruling for its masters and mistresses. During the bill debate, Joint Comedian shouted about the National Security, not the technicalities of the way the bill was being passed. This is how the Joint Comedians allowed the Bill go intact, without modifications, which is very important to the Yahapalanaya New Royal Government to impress the IC. The wording in the bill, if one read it, will be following the patter of the “Foreign and Common wealth Lawyers and Judges”. Whether the Joint Comedians opposed bill in the parliament or not, now it more than enough for New Royal Yahapalanaya Government to hush the IC, showing the threat of the Joint Comedians. To come back to our apex court, Lankawe’s Supreme Court is the most shameful Kangaroo court formed on the earth. Dinesh would bring the action, sooner or later, but at a time negotiated between the Joint Comedians and Yahapalanaya Comedians. The Supreme Kangaroo Court will delay the judgement until March 2017, the time suggested by Minister Rajitha Senaratne. But for the time being, Dinesh Gunawardene has agreed to bring a court action as per the UNP ministers’ request.

It is the thugs of the Joint opposition who are violating the decorum of the Parliament by jumping into the well of the Parliament and shouting. In politics various tactics are followed to get a bill approved. In this case the Government did the correct thing and followed the correct procedure. When Mahinda Rajapakse passed various bills during his time what did the JO hooligans do, they just raised their hand. Even giving recognition to the JO, although an illegal act, was done to show under the new government there is accommodation for every one, even those who have difference of opinion.

Its only the inauguration of an office: a painting on the curtain for all to see that SLK is doing the right thing. Why get hot under the collar? Government may be copying this trick from the US, in their double talk about Human Rights in Afghanistan, Iraq, Syria etc. These paintings on the wall are no different to SLK being a democracy which is only on the constitution but not in practice; all sorts of private families in politics and business run the country even when they are not in power. SLK has a police force but they work on cases only if they feel like it. Some they do efficiently others depend on who is pulling the strings. Law and Order enforcement organizations and courts are there, on book impartial, but judgment based on who appointed the judge. It is a country where the accused decides to which court and judge they will take the case. There is an impartial civil service on paper, but have you ever got anything done without bribing the officials (may be being impartial they take bribes regardless of who gives the bribes, except from Apey Minissu.Schools have free education on paper, but only if the Principals palm was crossed with gold to the weight of the kid. OMP is warmly welcomed by the Yahapalana Partner, Fr Emmanuel the ex LTTE Spiritual leader and advisor to Mr Pirahaparan.
In his welcome speech, the Reverend says unimaginable atrocities were carried out on his Tamil People by the Srilankan Governments for 26 years.

Do you all know that this is yet another “PLOY” of this so called “Joint Opposition”. This “Opposition” agreed to debate the Bill in Parliament and in fact submitted the names of seven members of their “Group” who would participate and obtained time schedules to speak. Among the speakers named were: Dinesh Gunawardene, Vasudeva Nanayakkara, Udaya Gammanpila, Wimak Weerawansa. In that background, it was expected that they would come up with whatever the “Amendments” they thought fit. Instead what did they do? They created a “Street Style Protest” inside the Parliament and the Government House Leader instantly called to take a vote. That is how the Bill was passed “without a vote”. After Bill was passed all these “Joint Opposition Stalwarts” were seen engaged in a very cordial discussion along with the Government Ministers including the Prime Minister. What does that convey to you? These pictures are now circulating in the “Social Media”; but interestingly not in the so called “National Press”. Interestingly, the MP, Mr Mahainda Rajapakse, who wanted all the Parliamentarians to vote against the BILL was no where to be seen. Where was he and what was he doing even without proposing amendments? Are the Sri Lankans going to listen to them any more? Do we allow these “Joint Opposition” to hoodwink us any more and any further. They know their exposed nakedness and to get out of it, this is yet another “PLOY” to show us that they mean business. Sorry, the whole country now know what you are upto and who you all are. Please don’t try to FOOL us any more. Enough is enough.
