Who is going to be the the first guest at the Super (Politicians Only) Prison? The normal people who will be taken as inmates can be the servants of these VIP prisoners.

Who is behind this? Of course Gotabaya Rajapaksa and cronies. Why are they still at large?

“most likely Mangala Samaraweera for fabricating stories”

Perhaps do you expect the state to build a seven star penal institution for the crooks, clan, and their cronies?

It would be much cheaper to buy Dubai’s seven-star Burj Al Arab hotel and convert it into a prison for the clan.

NO politician or their appointees will be charged. In other words master minds of the crimes will walk free.

Those that took orders will be charged but if its by jury then all will walk free as the criminals are what Sri Lankans today consider as “War Hero’s”.

Absolutely right C-Rice. These are the questions that need be asked from the Premier, when he challenges the media to ask him anything…

A list of questions should be printed on the front pages and politicians made to provide answers.

If I am not mistaken, abduction, assault, attempted murder are all non bailable serious crimes. In any civilized country, all perpetrators would be in custody, pending the hearing, not out on bail. I won’t be surprised if these thugs jump bail & disappear abroad. They will certainly have the support of the rich & powerful politicians because the hearing could most likely open a can of worms implicating them. The mere fact that Keith Noyahr was apparently released after appealing to the former President & Speaker implicates them in the crime as well & setting free a condemned man doesn’t reduce seriousness of the crime. There were others less fortunate, therefore, the people behind the abduction should be also charged if there is any justice in the country.

This is not applicable in the land of “war heroes” in the book of MY3 !! Pity he
      cannot be charged.

Abduction, assault, attempted murder, murder, rape, theft, ……………………………… are all considered to be non punishable (jail-able) patriotic acts . You will be awarded with a PhD in appreciation of your patriotic service to the nation.

Looks like this government we voted in is failing us!!!
Future of the country is not looking good! Probably planning on throwing away the next election to Gota so that he can handle the international intervention that probably will happen the way things are going…

Native Vadda’s got the inside scoop.

Above is the fact, so don’t encourage the govt to spend public funds until MS grows a set of balls. He is still to decide whether to try Chinese or Ayurvedic medicine.

In Sri Lanka, justice takes years plus changes of government.
    No other nation is similar.
Murder case of Lasantha Wickrematunge, is being slowly ‘buried’.

Relax everyone. The evidence is there but the ‘shape-uncles’ are working hard to make sure that nobody will suffer for having taught poor Mr Noyahr a terrible lesson for ‘over-stepping’ the mark. With a bit of jiggery-pokery the case will thrown out on grounds of unreliable evidence.

Generally speaking sexual assault and rape of men is a crime too and it is done to humiliate people. US used that tactic in Vietnam. Ask Kala Veddah, he knows what they did. Batons and poles and other torture instruments are used to anally rape men. FACT. Ask Kala Veddah the Minister; he knows.

Any crimes in the name of Lord is not punishable? Buddha gave special concessions for abduction, torture, rape by those who use his name in the form of security of his followers.

As I remember, Keith Noyaher was a traitor at the peak time of the active war. Some one has tried to flatten his face but did not complate the job. I think, he should have got an additional prison sentence too. Why it is so much pus.

You are one of the most insensitive people on CT.
You really must have your nose up Rajapaksa arse that you don’t not know the difference between justice and injustice, good and bad, etc.
What a poor excuse for a human being you are, you pathetic sob.
Seriously where do people like you come from? Where were you born? Are you of sound mind? Don’t you think before you write? Seriously what is wrong with you in general. Didn’t your mother love you? Were you abused as a kid?, What is your problem?
If you really mean the things that you say, then you are in a world of shit. You need help, lots of it.

I will do a bodhi Pooja for you for starters.

I, for one, would have preferred to hear the real culprit/s, who had a motive for this crime being sentenced to long years in prison, rather than the news item to say that investigations were concluded. George Orwell said “All animals are equal but some are more equal than others”. Same is here, Patricians escape the noose, even at a late stage. The law is for the Plebians. [Not necessarily so in Queen’s Ceylon where the culprits of Kalattawa murder case paid the ultimate penalty however influential and rich they were.] If at all some minions will be charged and the most junior of them convicted.

What evidence? Keith s face after attack alone is enough evidence to send the perpetrators to Gallows not to jail. Even if they are released they and their children would have suffered enough till now and generations to come will suffer thinking about this dastardly crime every minute they live. Guilty feeling is vicious and can kill.According to Buddhism bad karma will follow you like the cart following the bullocks.

Clearly a home vs home match.
The case may be made interesting if AG downwards are sincere in prosecution. With too much sincerity the prosecution will set precedents!
Here is another example where judges go very much on the thoroughness with which the case is presented.

It appears that people who are responsible for giving orders are getting away scot free in all the cases . We voted for RW & MS to see that justice is done , but it does not seem to Happen . You will lose 8 votes from my Family and another 30 of my close relation next time if nothing is done to get these culprits behind bars
