The CID has arrested a 34 year old Army Corporal attached to the Army Intelligence Directorate over the abduction and assault of senior journalist Keith Noyahr in 2008.

Apart from the latest arrest, Five other army officers, including a Major are in remand for allegedly abducting and assaulting Noyahr. The five officers have also been suspended by the Army due to their role in the journalist’s assault.
Noyahr was abducted in May 2008 near his residence and was severely beaten but was released the next day. The incident happened just days after Noyahr wrote an article critical of Sarath Fonseka in his weekly military column published in The Nation. Fonseka now serves as senior minister in the present government.

Come on now, we are tired of seeing people arrested for corruption, murders, and assaults, and seeing them being released on bail, and then silence. Is this some game played by the authorities? What is happening to the Thajudeen murder? What is happening to the billions apparently stashed away by the mafia family?
How about some justice for those who have suffered under the last government? Anyone would think the present government is shielding these criminals.

It is not like a certain Regionally developing VIP was not aware of the kidnapping, rape and brutal assaults of anyone who said anything about his behavior baton and black gloves not withstanding. Now he is trying to pin the brutal assaults and rapes of journalists and killing of journalists solely on his former business partner in these crimes against democracy. So now that he has a luxury Benz and lots of money in politics he is selling his buddy out when everyone knows they worked in cahoots. This particular case happened barely 2 weeks after KN exposed that man for rewarding himself with awards he was not entitled to because he had charges in his file about conduct unbecoming with women and even allegations of rape and assault. So be it. Now everything is only being blamed on his former buddy and now enemy.

Now the rogues have fallen apart. Some occu[ying big places even in the present setup. Before that they were together. SF, KH, GR and MR, all in the same boat. We know how Ralph Buultjens was kidnapped. The periyadorai said what a pest Ralph was, as he was to deliver the FRD memorial lecture. FRD was the Bete Noire of the Periyadorai. Sinnadorai caught the hint and did the needful. Sinnadorai is also linked to the destruction of the Jaffna Public Library. In the case of Keith it is clear that SF had the biggest desire to find who the source of information was. Others were silent partners in crime. In fact MR and GR knew the infamous USP fraud committed but they were mum silent. Why? Partners in crime.
The Bete Noire of SF was remanded on a trumped up charge of digging archives and he lost the next promotion.

Were there any by-pass operations in Colombo & around at that time ? If there were such operations who was the master mind and giving orders ? These assaults and killings were far away from the battle field those who were directly in charge of battle field matters would not have had enough time for these.
I’m sure some of the army cadres and intelligence team mebers from GOSL who are still around and even some of the LTTE cadres and intelligence who are still around should know and enlighten the courts and the masses.

This whole thing is a game, entertaining the public, most of whom know little of the ins and outs of the game.
Bleeding continues, 8 years after the war, after the last volley was fired. It is a pointless exercise.
What happened during war cannot be judged by peacetime laws, because it is the failure of the peace that led to the war. In war, the books may have codes of conduct, but it is the humans that fight the wars. Atrocities get committed by both parties, all in good faith as they who fight see what is right or wrong in field conditions. Everybody fights to survive, but only those who survive can reflect on what happened.
Soldiers or agents have a job to do, and they do it under orders; they are not allowed to pick and choose in duty. Where politicians failed, soldiers are compelled to act. Some soldiers do what seems to be honourable fighting, but there are some that had to do dirty work too. It is all part of the same job, clearing the enemy. if non combatants got in the way, they too would get hurt, sadly. It is the reality of war.
The lesson to be learnt from all this is to learn to live in peace with neighbors, no matter what their color creed or language.

The previous postponement was done willfully by a crooked judge to protect this scoundrel.
