Many years ago, an MP called Nalanda Ellawala was gunned down on the road in the presence of his mate Dilan Perera who is a minister today. The accused are Susantha Punchinilame, another minister and Mahinda Ratnatillake who is no more. Chandrika was then President. So far no one knows who killed him, no one came forward to identify the killers. When politicians, whatever their colour they flock together to save their clan, hang those innocents who oppose their views. This trend will go on as long as we elect fully qualified THUGS to the legislature. Shame on our learned lawyers who put money before justice worshiping those in power.
