Let’s Start From Uva Against Rajapaksa Familiocracy

Yet another election is looming ahead. The Uva Provincial Council has been dissolved and nominations for the forthcoming elections have been announced. Twenty years’ scourge needs to be eradicated and it should be done now, not next year or year after, let’s show that the people of this country are sick and tired of this corrupt and incompetent Familiocracy, that we are distressed and despaired that unless and until this unbelievably fraudulent administration that is prowling in the dark for the most minute lack of attention by the people so that they can raise prices of essential commodities via gazette notification.

These Sri Lankan ‘Neros’ are fiddling while the country is burning. The poor are despaired; they simply don’t know where to look for help. There is no more land settlement for the landless; there is no more bread for the unemployed; and there is no more peace for the war-weary soldiers. The ruling cabal, the Rajapaksas have eaten this country up, left, right and center. The core of the country has been contaminated by a viral flu and that viral flu is corruption, it is nepotism, it is Familiocracy and it is racial and religious bigotry.

It is against this harsh and forbidding background that elections for the Uva Province are being held. Once again these rulers will resort to double-speaking; they will engineer falsifying of truth and making gods out of mere frauds and commission-takers. But the people are now beginning to realize that there is something more than the eye could meet. It will be proven in the Uva elections. That is why we are appealing to all reasonable men and women in the Uva province in particular and the country in general, to open their eyes and see. Refuse to listen to their lies, refuse to be swayed by their false propaganda.

It was not the Rajapaksas who won the war, it was the soldiers, their commanders who fought on the battlefield and defeated the enemy. The war-victory belongs to everyone in armed forces, not to a select few.

So get ready to teach these liars a lesson. Let’s start from Uva.

*Karu Jayasuriya – Chairman of  the Leadership Council, UNP

Yes Karu made a blunder yet he is an honest man with integrity and he is a ‘Maha Sinhalayek’ with no malice or racism in him, unlike your hypocrite Jarapassas.

Jarapassas are Durata Elvis Langata Alwis ugly beggars.

You obviously do not have the mental faculties to recognize the difference between a decent politician and an outright fraud. Now go ahead and call me a moron as well.

No Pakshe you are not a moron, just mistaken. Karu is not a decent politician, he did not cross over on a point of principle, he crossed for power.

Your appearance here is overdue. I am happy that at last you seem to be armed against them. UNPrs always cry for a change of leadership, and the candidacy goes always to Mr Premadasa. I wonder why not you. Yes, you left the party once to make his hands stronger, but you did it with a good intention, therefore anybody can forgive you for that. Mr. Wickramasinghe is the true leader who can deliver the poor of our country undoubtedly if he is given the chance. However, to win the next election he has to go a long way to persuade the frogs in the well. Therefore you can take the lead with the auspices of Mr. Wickramasinghe, why not. Yes, Mr Premadasa seems to be preferred by some UNPrs. However, he is still not matured enough, how would the world accept him, does he have a recognition in the international arena. I do not think so. So, you must be the option if not Mr. Wickramasinghe. Nevertheless, you got to show yourself to be a leader, a leader capable of reigning our country. So, show you leadership to the people, they will definitely follow you. Mr. Wickramasinghe will not oppose to you tacking over the leadership however you definitely need his help to reach the goal.

I forgot the regional language in Uva/Sabaragamuwa areas is English. Hence the article is written in English ????

Who is this Johnny-come-lately trying to fool?

Is’nt he practicing familiocracy?? Or is he complaining that Naveen has not got too much of the spoils? What Naveen’s father hid away overseas should be enough for a few generations. Never got to enjoy any of the Apples from the Aussie orchards though. Karma they say, is a bitch!!!

The occasional ghost-written articles that appear are to impress the Ambassadors that he is a suitable replacement for RW, who has been enjoying the perks for the last 20 odd years. Not bad for a perennial loser is’nt it? Cabinet level perks, and full DPL access including Harvard fellowships.

I love the quote elsewhere in this thread “Durata Elvis Langata Alwis” What an insult to the Alwis’.

The content of this article is about as deep as the article is long! What nonsensical superlative hodge podge! The UNP is the solution to nothing in Sri Lanka, it has long been the cause of much harm to the country and her people.

I wish to apologise to all those I have hurt Tamils and recently Muslims. Thanks to CT for bringing me to me senses by editing me out everytime I tried to put out a Racist Statement. I now realise how important freedom of expression is which we have denied to so many people up to now. Freedom of Expression is a wonderful thing without which man kind will cease to exit. Thanks CT.
