That stage was full of people who are just about out of Welikade for all their fraudulent financial dealings and illegal activities. You can see the relief in their eyes with the hope that behind MR they can once again breathe easy and walk around without fear continuing their business as usual. If those innocent public who were assembled there were fooled that easily in the current climate where the free press brings out stories day in day out, then of course they deserve another five years of servitude and poverty bringing down the country further in to the mire.
Hope they wake up out of this unpleasant dream for the sake of their children! They have enough alternatives!

We dont hold on the views added by Astrologers in general. But I sometimes believes the arguments added by visually handicapped Thotawatte. He has a clear picture in his views – adequate many to see it right. As Prez recently added, we dont need to listen to Asro men – if we look at the history. All thesae forces will have to be marginalised from lanken politics, if we have to go forard. I see it very clear- PEOPLE WILL CHOOSE their men very clearly this time. Of course, COPE Report is the proof. If Ranil was not guilty, he had two avenues to prove his innocence – 1. In the Parliament 2. Once the COPE Report is made available to the public.
What did he do? He, 1. made President to dissolve the Parliament before the No Confidence Motion against him was taken up. 2. took a restraining order from the court against publishing the COPE Report. By those ‘extraordinary’ moves of a veteran politician, he himself gave evidence to the entire country that he robbed the government money.
With regard to the cut-outs of Mahinda, every Party has an Election Fund. Those cut-outs were not made by Mahinda or using his personal money. Those were done by the designated Election Campaigners of the party and his supporters. One thing I can assure you is that Mahinda never robbed government money like Ranil. Ranil robbed the Central Bank in broad daylight and the Central Bank Governor vouch the veracity of that robbery.
By the way, why didn’t you mention anything about Batalanda Commission Report?

So let My3 also follow all accepted norms as he did and Basil Rajapakse was remanded by the courts. So was Johnston Fernando. There is nothing wrong in that. Let the court come to a verdict and if not guilty he goes free!
Public likes to know what happened on the Election Day and there is a serious allegation that MR tried to nullify the election results, the people’s verdict sort the help from various top officials in a sort of staging a coup. This allegation is coming from no lesser persons than Prime Minister RW and also Minister Rajitha Senaratne. Then this is a very serious allegation especially when a Prime minister of a country is revealing to the people and we the public and citizens of this country expect he is talking with due responsibility.
Either it is true or outright lies. One of the two. If it is a total lie then RW is guilty of a serious character assassination of a President of Sri Lanka and causing permanent damage to his character and future as a politician. If so RW is guilty of a serious offense which has a compulsory prison sentence and a compensation which will amount in billions of rupees and I don’t think he will have.
Suppose this is true and MR did resort to a coup and he did not get the support of the Attorney General and the service chiefs so had to give it up, then again a serious offense and if it is so punishment is a long term prison sentence with hard labour.
So either of one is true, and obviously either RW or MR should go to jail. Both can’t be innocent and walking free (or guilty). After going public by no lesser person than the Prime Minister himself, we as the public like to know the truth and culprits punished and see either one of them go to jail. We expect justice. I think a judicial court hearing is essential. I think the country is duty bound to inquire as it is a serious case which nearly jeopardized the security of the country and freedom of the people.

It is not this crowd that will determine who will form the future govt. after the 17th of August, but the silent majority like the last time. I only want to correct a part of your comment. The result of the August 17 election will not be the same as was on January 8. The vulnerable people who cast their votes in favour of Sirisena and the “Good Governance” are no longer there. They admit that they were manipulated to believe in forced opinions by UNP and Sirisena and therefore the January 8 election does not reflect the true feelings of people.

So let My3 also follow all accepted norms as he did and Basil Rajapakse was remanded by the courts. So was Johnston Fernando. There is nothing wrong in that. Let the court come to a verdict and if not guilty he goes free!
Public likes to know what happened on the Election Day and there is a serious allegation that MR tried to nullify the election results, the people’s verdict sort the help from various top officials in a sort of staging a coup. This allegation is coming from no lesser persons than Prime Minister RW and also Minister Rajitha Senaratne. Then this is a very serious allegation especially when a Prime minister of a country is revealing to the people and we the public and citizens of this country expect he is talking with due responsibility.
Either it is true or outright lies. One of the two. If it is a total lie then RW is guilty of a serious character assassination of a President of Sri Lanka and causing permanent damage to his character and future as a politician. If so RW is guilty of a serious offense which has a compulsory prison sentence and a compensation which will amount in billions of rupees and I don’t think he will have.
Suppose this is true and MR did resort to a coup and he did not get the support of the Attorney General and the service chiefs so had to give it up, then again a serious offense and if it is so punishment is a long term prison sentence with hard labour.
So either of one is true, and obviously either RW or MR should go to jail. Both can’t be innocent and walking free (or guilty). After going public by no lesser person than the Prime Minister himself, we as the public like to know the truth and culprits punished and see either one of them go to jail. We expect justice. I think a judicial court hearing is essential. I think the country is duty bound to inquire as it is a serious case which nearly jeopardized the security of the country and freedom of the people.
