If the SLFP wins a majority of seats in a Parliamentary election the party’s Central Committee will determine who the Prime Minister will be.

LOL. Its sad to see people still playing the “bussed in crowds” card to try and rest their fears to the obvious: This 100 day unelected UNP Government will be just that, a 100 day unelected government, gone in 100 days.
People have realised that the My3 gang made up all kinds of lies about coruption (as proven by the lack of EVIDENCE) nor do they accept the formation of a UNP government made up of corrupt crooks and thugs -so much so for the “change” that was promised.
The creation of a Government from the UNP holding just 48 seats in Parliament is simply an illegal move and a wild slap in the face of the people as it does not represent democracy but instead represents dictatorship, thuggary and intolerance (what the UNP and its NGO/Western backers are famous for).
Finally of course people voted for My3 expecting him to be running the show (they knew Ranil would be PM but not running the country or calling all the shots). The question asked: “why is Ranil and the UNP who have been time and time again rejected by the masses in every election now running Sri Lanka?” He and the UNP were NOT elected to Govern. If Ranil wants to be running SL as he is now, why didn’t he contest the Presidential election?
All these factors including the lies of the 100 day programme, the lies about MRs Aston Martins and “Palaces” have resulted in this out pouring of disgust and hate for the deception of the 100 My3-Ranil gang which is what draws in these huge crowds.
You can all stick your heads in the sand and say they were “bussed in” and deny reality, but the UNP will surely be losing and losing badly in the up coming General Election. As for the SLFP, its electoral success this last decade has been because of MR. W
If MR contests outside of the SLFP the party he is running with will win a huge number of seats (around 80) the shell left of the SLFP will get another 20 seats. This SLFP shell will then join with MR.
The UNP will get 30-40 seats.
Terrible times ahead for the UNP and as evident from the comments here, the fear is visible. LOL
