A Bollywood spy thriller set against the backdrop of the Sri Lankan civil war has been pulled from British and some Indian theatres after protests over its depiction of rebel fighters, the movie’s distributors said Saturday, AFP reported.
Madras Cafe, which opened Friday, features John Abraham as an Indian secret agent sent to Sri Lanka during the island’s decades-long conflict between the government and separatist Tamil rebels, the Fox news reported.

According to MADRAS CAFE, LTTE was India’s child. Once Rajiv signed the Agreement Rajiv wanted to stop the war. Rajiv wanted provincials elections in Sri Lanka in a hurry. India knew even who would be selected to the provincial councils (So, we can imagine, Why Dayan Jayathilake is so pro-Indian). Velu got foreign aids from the West and took the revenge from Rajiv.
I think that was why Velu waited until the very last moment that West somehow would save him. Because. Velu worked for the west. If LTTE won the war, Trincomalee would have been a military base for the west.
So, we can think who have helped indirectly.
Anyway, what Mahinda Rajapakse said was correct. He fought the India’s war. India as usual showed the middle finger to Sri Lanka after the War. THAT IS TYPICAL INDIA.

Propagandists have always been using the print and other media to inflame the emotions of masses. Napoleon, Lenin and Joseph Goebbels are notorious for such viscous propaganda with catastrophic results.
Therefore, not every film cannot be considered an expression of artistic freedom, especially MadrasCafe (Mad-Ra’sCafe), which hurts the feelings of Tamils everywhere, like Nazi’s “The eternal Jew” did to the Jews in Germany during Hitler’s regime.

My elders tell me the LTTE rump in the UK was close to Labour party before the general elections in 2010. Yet Labour party lost many seats to Tories and had to move to the opposition benches.
