The Rajapakshes, very especially Gota has completely lost the minority support, the Muslims, the Tamils and the Sinhala Christians know very well that Gota is a Sinhala-Buddhist Racist, not a single minority (Tamils, Muslims & Christians) will vote for him and the Sinhala-Buddhists are divided. He is also a military dictator like Adolf Hitler, Joseph Stalin, Benito Mussolini, Mao Zedong, Idi Amin, and so on. Even when he was just a defense secretary, we have seen how he performed his duties, how he took care of the protesters, how he treated the prisoners, how he handled the journalists, and so on. He used white vans to abduct and disappear those who acted against the government. He ordered the armed forces to shoot whoever protested against the government in both North and South (including the prisoners). There is a large number of Sinhala-Buddhists who do not support Gota (the way they support Mahinda) because of the White Van culture, several murders (Journalists, prisoners, etc.), and many other issues including corruption. On the other hand, Gota created the grease devils and then the BBS to threaten and suppress the Muslims.
The main person who made Mahinda Rajapakshe lose the election was none other than Gotabaya Rajapakshe. If this dictator becomes the next president, it will be a military rule and BBS will be his personal advisers. Another Hitler in the making. Most of the members in the joint opposition also do not like Gotabaya, they know very well how much a dictator he will become and all of them will be made his slaves.

The UNP invested in the Gal Oya Scheme that opened up hundreds of thousands of food-creating acres that produced a large farming community. The 1965 UNP Govt made a success of food production but the mass of dumbos rejected them in 1970. Food shortage and famine followed Mrs.B’s Govt of 1970-77. The UNP invested in the Tourist industry that created lakhs of jobs and produced mass wealth and employment in the country. The UNP opened the way for over a million ordinary men and women in the villages to find gainful employment in the oil-rich countries. The face of thousands of very poor villages and hamlets dramatically changed to the better. JRJ’s Govt freed the economy and caused a flood of goods and jobs. Admittedly, there was some corruption along the way – but this is so even in advanced countries.
But one can count on our bainless idiot buth-gottas to sell their… for a parcel of rice, half a bottle of arrack and a thousand rupees. Sri Lanka has no future in the coming scenario. The mass disorder and conflict that will follow will largely eclipse the 30yr old war against the Tamils. Already the Chinese own part of Hambantota. More will follow.

I take this move as an opening for a new path for people to go for an alternative candidate.
One might question whether there will be any candidates who are dared to go against Rajapaksas? Of course, there will be many.
It is the responsibility of the people to elect an alternative candidate as against Gotabhaya, so that a new political party can be formed under the new President and a new Parliament could also be elected.
