Mahinda Says He Will Appeal Against Court Of Appeal Interim Order “First Thing In The Morning” Tomorrow: Stops Using Official Letterhead

Fake Prime Minister Mahinda Rajapaksa, in a statement, said he would appeal against the Court of Appeal’s interim order in the Supreme Court as the first thing in the morning tomorrow.

Mahinda Rajapaksa

Rajapaksa said he would not accept the interim order issues by the Court of Appeal today preventing him and his purported government from functioning in office.

Rajapaksa, who has also lost two back to back no-confidence motions in Parliament, said he would appeal against the order “first thing in the morning” tomorrow.

In his statement, Mahinda Rajapaksa says it is the Supreme Court that has the power of interpreting the constitution and he would not agree with the interim relief granted by the Court of Appeal.

Rajapaksa issued his statement today, without using the official letterhead of the Prime Minister’s Office. He has signed off the letter as Mahinda Rajapaksa without using any official title. Rajapaksa has also stopped using his official email address of the Prime Minister’s Office and sent out the release from a private email address.

Commenting on the matter, Presidents Counsel Saliya Pieris said, “An interim order of the Court of Appeal is not stayed merely because a party files an appeal in the Supreme Court. An interim order of the Court of Appeal remains in force until and unless a stay order is issued by the Supreme Court.”

Excellent move. See how he is careful not to use the official letter head. He is an experienced politician.

Please note: Supreme court decisions cannot be challenged, and possibly can never be challenged. We are locking ourselves into a situation that cannot be overturned by parliament or change in government.

Depending on the ruling here, no subsequent President will be able to remove the Prime minister for the entire time the Parliament continues. Any Parliament will serve for four and a half years.

Or, if the ruling is the other way, any President will be able to remove the Prime Minister any time and dissolve parliament any time.

Very nice. Hope you Sri Lankans are prepared.

Mahinda’s gloss has come off a “little” ………… I hope the smart-patriots who love the country will pounce now and destroy his remaining gloss :))

That’ll be ………… removing the greatest curse the country has faced in recent times; good ol’ Mahinda’s mega “popularity.”

The putsch was a blessing in disguise ……… that exposed Mahinda for what he truly is; a painted-geisha old imbecile. The UNP young-brigade should now mock him and destroy him. Make him a big joke in the country. Strike while the iron is hot; don’t let the opportunity slip.

He didn’t wait too long …….. already signed 2 agreements with China.

In in all this, if there is a true marvel ……… it’s the little country SL …….. that has taken on monumental bastards in it’s stride and put them in there place ……. and still marches on without missing a beat.

If MR is not accepting the court of appeal order, Why shouldn’t he use official letter head to his statement? It is a funny time. He thought he is prime minister but he can’t go to paliament but he wants to sign big contracts as soon as possible. I think he is also affected mentally and thinking that his still the President of Srilanka.

      President!
Can Mahinda occupy you seat and claim legitimacy because you don’t know what are you doing and as the former president he has a better knowledge as to how a president should function. Will yo go to the supreme court and challenge him or put him out bodily with the help of the police and army?

      Vanguard,
Fake PM is only one title he has. Plenty of other titles he can use. Some of them from various Temples and the rest from China and Russia and courtasy of Jeyaraj Fernandofulle.. “Sri Rohana manaranjana, Three Singhaladeeshwara, Sambudda Saasana Chakrawarthi, Sri lanka Rajawansabidana, Janamula, Manomula, 3 Sanwedee, Jathiye Aadambarakara Pin Piya, and he has many options without fake PM title.

We were promised a majority in favour of MR when this all started if you remember. Either it was a hoax to buy time, some might say, or the ministers were too principled to cross over, or too frightened.

We all knew it would go to courts. What is the purpose of all this? Is it some sort of a brilliant plan or desperation?

      Mahinda Rajapaksa, Fake PM,

Why do you want to be a Joker? Let Sirisena be the Joker. Sirisena has made you to be Joker now. If you resign, you can make Sirisena to be the Joker, and save face.

Tell the court that it was all a joke. A joke on me and the people, by Srisena, the Joker.

TNA said EP accepting the Injunction. But Old King’s statement is saying that he is not accepting. The argument Old Royal taking is going to bring an split in courts too. It is going to get a ruling on what kind of quo warranto the Court of Appeal can hear.

Beyond that New King will have to have some goverment immediately. The interesting question is who will be the PM of that?

The injunction seems to be very weak. But the urgency it has created may overthrow Old and New King. Their reaction to it also going to shaping tier future.

MS-MR will meet some more Waterloos if they continue to cheat people and act un-democratically. MR insists on general election now after failing to get the necessary number in the floor test. Without accepting the Premier post, if he had demanded for general election, there would have been some credentials for him and retained the respect he had. Now everything is lost.

Where is the make up man? See the face of MR? where has all the flush gone? Clear signs of the end of the road. See the expressions of all in the photo. They were all dancing a couple of days ago, in high spirits, thinking they will take the country for a General Election under their care. Entice the masses with Price reductions, Sell the War Victory once again, Instill a fear psychosis that the Buddhists, Buddhism and the Country is in grave danger, asking their mandate once again to save the country. This time around they failed miserably.

Fake PM Rajapaksa and Fake Govt/Cabinet,

RE: Mahinda Says He Will Appeal Against Court Of Appeal Interim Order “First Thing In The Morning” Tomorrow: Stops Using Official Letterhead.

It is very good to sleep over it. Remember, Sirisena is a Sevalaya, and Joker, and you have been taken for a ride. Now what to tell the court in the morning?

Please tell the court and the people by what authority you are a PM and Govt:/Cabinet.

You may say that we have an idiotic President, and we thought that we can make him do stupid and unconstitutional things, as many have claimed that Sirisena is a Traitor, Sevelaya, Mala-Perethaya, Patholaya and Pachaya, and we told him, and we got the authority from him. So, he announced and did Gazette notifications to that affect.

There was no need to get a majority of 113 votes, in the parliament. After all, Sirisena is the President? Isn’t he?

Appealing will be worthless unless New King gives hand by twisting to another direction. Court of Apeal stay is until the case resolved. But SC is yet to receive this objection case. They need a GLP PM until they defeat the Appeal Court to survive until the SC gives a verdict on Parliament dissolution. Things appear to be dawning faster than Old Royal Camp can formulate their strategies. They appear to be playing a game “Karanam Tappinaal Maranam”. The fear on their reaction is obvious. They want to put out the $18B force to save them. Many in their cabals may wishing the entire Royal camp to go prison so they can capture the dynasty party- the Slap party.

But, say if that all their efforts are defeated and Ranil made PM again, will he take a new route instead going back on his promise to save Old King once again. Very few Sinhala Buddhist are willing to accept that this Genie dragon was opened from the bottle and let loose by Ranil on the early morning of Jan 9th, 2015 in TTH. He has not revealed what he talked with EP immediately after meeting of Colombo Diplomats who had expressed their support to Ranil’s government on their previous day meeting with EP. Same way, JVP asked what he talked with Old King in the Parliament library for more than 20 minutes. He did not reply.

At least now the President should move fast and appoint a UNF government. Today due to the illegal action of the President and subsequent illegal action of Mahinda and his group not attending the Parliament has resulted in a major constitutional and administrative crisis. We do not have a Government now, Mr President please move fast and appoint a UNF government as it has the majority in the Parliament. Your failure to do so is an Impeachable Offence.

Yes, it’s hard and painful to accept the painful truth. By acting in this way, you are digging your own grave at a high pace, and it’s a real loosing battle for you. Nothing to loose, give it up for goodness sake before more calamities befall at your feet, and don’t trust those no two cents worth, God forsaken people’s words and support for they are slowly and surely pushing you deeper into the pit.

Well if MR is permitted to do that, it is his prerogative. Please go ahead and do it. It is only prolonging the inevitable and placing the poor citizens in more jeopardy. But what does he care about the People as long as he has power (to get out of the cases against him and his family and henchmen and continue his looting & embezzlement spree) and able to exercise his dictatorial tendencies?

MR said in Parliament recently – “PM position is not big for me. I have even been the President” This action, if carried through, reflects how greedy he is to have that position and what a blatant liar and con artist he is. Wonder when the rural folk and even some educated folk in the cities will see through all this?

All about him appear to be fake including the Hair! When will we have the privilege to see the back of this Goon?

Looks like this power hungry criminal cannot take a big NO for an answer. How many no confidence motions, court rulings, and strong messages, will make him realize he is doing the wrong thing, and crawl back to Hambantota. This is sheer greed, being power hungry, and desperate to get the Rajapaksa’s back in the political arena, to enrich themselves at the expense of the country and the people? He does NOT deserve to be PM.

This ruling should never have been a “SURPRISE” to MR, who himself is a “Lawyer” and his chief advisor a “Law Professor” – GLP. Why he accepted this invitation from another “Deal Maker” MY#? very well knowing that the offer and the appointment is “Unconstitutional” and also cannot be maintained in the Parliament. He and his cohorts know very well the “Court Cases” against him, family, & all other “Goons” are coming up soon. He wants, in keeping with his usual “Dictatorial” style of Governing , he could “Subdue” the Judiciary as long as he is in “POWER”. Fortunately, now there is no Judiciary like the one he (MR) used to “BULLY” all the time. Look at what “Pivithuru Hela Urumaya( Karumaya) Chief Udaya Gammanpila said outside the courts. He along with Wimal Weerawanse , Dinesh Gunawardene, Bandula Gunawardena, Vasudeva Nanayakkara , Aluthgamage, Johston Fernando type “GOONS” will definitely “BURY” him in the political wilderness.. Good for him and well deserved Please read the PRACIFC report on 121 million “Loss” to ITN. The “Recommendation” there is to strip this MR of his “Civic Rights” and debar him contesting in any election. It is that serious and is it surprising to see him “USURPING” the power by hook or crook? No doubt, it is in DESPERATION he (MR) put on this struggle, from no where on 26th October with the help of MY3. That is that “HIDDEN AGENDA” the PEOPLE have to be told and explained in detail.

    Dear President Rajapaksa

It may have become clear that many people hate you, President Sirisena, and also members of the opposition.

I must also include those who hate minorities as well.

Hate is never preached by the religions. Neither is jealousy.

This country needs spiritual development as well, I hope you and and all other members of
parliament will work to this end.

Parliament should begin with a sermon first, with religous blessings from all the religions. The speaker may be able to arrange this.

You have a Buddhist priest in Parliament I noted how he was shouted at during his speech. Is this a good example?

The way for SillySena to go is to withdraw the dissolution, withdraw the appointment of Rajapukka and restore the status quo ante before the Supreme Court judgment. This way he will avoid further humiliation and further chaos in the country. If he decides to stick the course, he will plummet the country into unbelievable chaos for which he will have to be held responsible. One can only hope that he will see light and ensure the restoration of the hapless Ranil, who is a no hoper. The UNP in turn should, after a decent time to assuage the ego of Ranil, find a replacement if it is to survive the wrath of the people. Ranil should get his friend Mahendran and ensure his prosecution before he steps down if he is to have a respected place in the history of this country. He simply must leave the scene. He is a tainted figure like Rajapukka. It so happens that he represents democracy at this point. That is his only usefulness to the country.

MR, we all have to accept that he had done good things to the country such as developing Roads etc and had liberated the country from Terrorism.
    But he has taken away the essentials of a free democratic country— No freedom to speak against the First Family; Any reasonable and sensible opposition to their ‘PROJECTS’ are mercilessly suppressed;
    Judges and AG became his puppets; His Presidential Security became a terror force -White van;
    ‘Whjte Elephant’ Megaprojects with mega commissions;
    So on and on
Time to face the Courts for the evils committed over the decade from 2005
