Maithri Should Sack Them All

By Helasingha Bandara

Recent reports say that Sri Lanka’s post colonial political arena has not seen a politician with greater humility, sounder integrity, better intentions and unflinching commitment to democracy and the rule of law than the current President Maithripala Sirisena. He has already proved that he has no hunger for power, he refrains from abusing power, he resents the extravagant lifestyle of a politician that is inappropriate for a poor country and has honourable intentions in upholding democracy and creating a lawful and equal society for all. Yet there are some groups working hard to cause his downfall with the hope of staging a comeback of a person who was full of vices and who possesses values quite contrary to the values detailed above.

MaithripalaWhilst not denying the credit for playing his part in defeating the LTTE, it is of utmost importance to analyse whether Mahinda Rajapaksa has made use of the opportunity given him by the citizens of Sri Lanka to develop the country and its people. If the answer was in the affirmative he would not have needed to go for an early Presidential election on assumption that it was an opportune moment. The fact that the majority of people rejected him was the clear indication that people of the country were waiting to be rid of his utterly corrupt rule. They voted Maithri in as a result of the deep resentment that they bore against Rajapaksa rule. People were brave to elect the unknown. As fortune favours the brave, Maithri turned out to be the blessed one that the country was yearning for. Should it be wise to reinstate a Caligula to reverse all the good work that is being done and that would hopefully be done in the future?

Maithri is absolutely on the right track in denying MR the prime Ministerial candidacy. A person whom the people have rejected should not be allowed to emerge back with promises of self absolutions. He can never be trusted to follow the footsteps of Maithri. Even if he personally wishes to do so, he will not be allowed by the very people around him who in fact caused his downfall, advertently or inadvertently. The group of cronies who are clamouring for his return to power do so because they have no standing in society on their own; they want to bring back their vile agendas that were denied them with the defeat of MR.

The UNP

The UNP was a rejected party and the sudden emergence as the ruling party was a lottery drawn to them. This sudden luck should not mislead them to think that they can contest on their own and secure more seats in the parliament and rule the country. The claim that Maithri won the election just because of the UNP is also a fallacy. The majority of the people of this country needed a change for the better, and united, they voted Maithri in. If the UNP leadership has an iota of intelligence they should not plan to contest the elections on their own betraying the unity that brought them success.

Jackals in the SLFP

The jackals who howled for MR at the presidential election are still howling. Under Maithri’s rule, their corrupt habits cannot prosper. They need to ride on the back of MR to get back to their old vices. The country knows the intentions and agendas of those individuals. Mahinda is still enjoying some popularity despite his misdeeds while in power. That popularity is partially due to some good work that he has done, partially to his lies, cunning and deceits and partially to the ignorance of the people. This does not mean that he commands an extensive support to form a party and win. The ideal decision for him is to retire respectfully. If one is born to be disgraced, he cannot but seek it

Maithri has said that he would not contest another election. Standing firmly on that ground he should do the right thing rather than giving into undue political pressures. He should tell all those who want Mahinda back to leave the party and contest on their own or form their own party. The mere presence of them would dissuade the voters from supporting any party that they belong to. Some examples are Johnston Fernando, Marvin Silva, Duminda Silva, Sajin Vass and Wimal Weerawansa. There are hundreds of educated, qualified and virtuous people waiting to take their places. The people who despise the corrupt old lot want a new breed of politicians who are good. The UNP has to select some respectable people from their lot, form a formidable united front with some talented and incorrupt new faces from the SLFP, and contest the General elections preventing the Rajapaksas from re-emerging. I ceased to call Sri Lanka, the Fools’ Paradise, only after the recent Presidential election. I was convinced that most of them have brains. I hope they will prove that again.

A good article but I really don think that every second of the nation is becoming clear we the people today have more rights than had been before MY3. So I hardly agree with the writer saying
” I ceased to call Sri Lanka, the Fools’ Paradise, only after the recent Presidential election. I was convinced that most of them have brains. I hope they will prove that again”
Today, even if UNP young politicians work diehard to do their best- they are seen as nobody just becase the propaganda machines that Rajapakse REGIME maintained are still in action to some extent. While all the educated men and women of the country regardless of their locations feel that MY3 is a great leader to give the folks a lead to democractic principles, but majority of the lot of Mahinda supporters would take longer to grasph it. In the same time, Wimal Buruwanse and Wasidewa et al, continue go against UNP could only help those Mahinda supporters to stay hallozinated further – since they believe the Mahinda s development projects really brought something to the country. White elephant projects like Mattala Airport, Hambantota harbor etc are just fund wasting projects that have completed to deceive the nation further. Had proper feasiblity work been done prior to go fo rthem, by today, we would have acheived the profits of them – allowing more qualified people find their occupations there. Nothing like profits can be talked regarding those projects. All these should be made aware to the general public, just now, while the most cunning and megalomaniac leader of the nation Mahinda is making every effort to return to active politics. Those temples he is targeting to mobilise the stupid people, should be warned by reglious bodies adequately, making them clear the impact if the man would be reeelcted. And showing as to why the man is that greedy at politics – even today, since there are lot more powerful men in the society waiting to do their best not as MR did, but genuinely.

Maithripala is the weakest, most naive, and totally unqualified person to run the country. He has let Ranil run circles around him (no, this is not luck, it is utter ignorance) so that we now have a 45-seat minority party ruling the majority. This minority is running the country into the ground, ruining key relationships with development partners like China, wasting away Sri Lanka’s strategic location advantage, re-instituting a colonized mindset in which he does whatever these white people tell him to do, and completely politicizing law enforcement so that it is acting as branch within the UNP. His leadership of the SLFP is a total joke and disgrace, and if he keeps up the stupid ‘personal’ politics against Mahinda he will find himself the leader of a party with only 10 MPs.

Very well written article, especially the characterization of Maithri. Absolutely true to the last word. Humble, sincere and resolute. He is already beginning to be seen by most SriLankans as the best leader the country has had so far.His squeaky clean image, coupled with his dislike of pomp and ceremony endears him to his countrymen who are fed-up to the brim with the corruption and insincerity of its politicians. His simplicity shines when he holds court with other world leaders and he is certainly paving the way for others to emulate him as an ideal role model. Long may he reign over us.

“Humble, sincere and resolute” Is he?

If he is humble he would not have boasted about holding the Queens’ hand without gloves. If he is sincere he would have dissolved the present government without biting time to secure his position as the president of the party of Rogues(SLFP). He is resolute. Yes. a Synonym for resolute is Adamant.

“His squeaky clean image, coupled with his dislike of pomp and ceremony”
His squeaky clean image died when he appointed the former PM, the Drug Dealer, as an adviser thus using his executive powers to bribe supporters of Mahinda Rajapaksa Junta. Haven’t you seen the pomp and ceremony that take place in functions attended by President Sirisena. Sorry to say that Sirisena is an imposter.

They are worried about their privileges. They are disoriented, confused, and begging Mara Mahinda Rajapakda to get back… and Mahinda Rajapaksa in turn begs Maitripala Sirisena///

Yes, Maithri Should Sack Them All and throw them all to the Wolves, or”Kela Hilunata”.

Mr. Bandara, you are QUITE correct! My3 should just sack the lot of them and wait on the VOTERS who pinned much hope on him. But the action of the Finance Minister, the antiques of RW with his buddies, Mangala’s contacts with the diaspora who are still looking to split the nation, addition of junior ministers etc is not too good for My3. You are also right that MR did much and we are all so grateful for that as we can travel to Jaffna without fear apart from all other considerations. MR should have been more circumspect during his second term and after the second term if he went into retirement, he would have been a leader likened to the Late DSS, Sir John, SWRD etc. Even now, he should do so. He has wealth and is assured of an excellent retirement benefit for the rest of his life as well as that of the “first lady”.

“… he would have been a leader likened to the Late DSS, Sir John, SWRD etc.”

SWRD????? You must be bloody joking, mate; This selfish man was likened only by the communalist elements of the country because of his divisive policies which set the country back by a 100 years. Remember the Sri Campaign he kindled where many innocent victims were tarred before being burnt to death? Fast forward and you’ll end up with Virathu the Mad Monk and Myanmar 2014.

The first lady need not worry about depending on MRs retirement benefits. She has enough pilfered wealth herself. Just Google “Madurai Temple Oondiyal Gold Hoardings” and youll get the answer.

Some significant fractions of the society would see it right to convict MR for all the allegations levelled against him: This was the case too in Egypt – after Mubarak ´s era left the country puzzeled not being able to see how deep the man s regime had abused the funds of the poor tax payers.
Even today, Mahinda Rajapakshe to have guts to go to temples and stand before Sangaya- continue lying -not standing to any corrupted issues that he deliberately commited is pathetic. Those gullible vulnerable folks would even stay mesmerising as if the this bugger would bring permement peace to the country. As a carpenter would not have the knowledge to work as a surgeon – Mahinda has no talent to work for the reconciliation of all ethnic groups fo the country. Latter was very clear the way when we looked at the manner his post war administration marched through: No matter any educated voices brought him to sense, he never respected – but continued supporting his allies. Ask yourslef, as to why MR as president turned up at the premises of Lanca- drug kin pin – at the time police made every effort to arrest him ?
Whose funds were abused by that – on that day, Mahinda to use the helicopter ?
Hey guys, this man has not shown his real face yet. He is the most abusive among the few highly abuse lot of the south asian politicans.

Totally agree that in Maithripala Sirisena we have got the finest President of all time so far. His innate modesty, his integrity, his respect for the Rule of the Law, his overpowering lack of greed, his respect for democratic space… these among a thousand other virtues makes me think we are or have been indeed blessed to have such a man as the head of this nation.

He will sit easily amongst the best leaders of all time, and will be respected by all decent honourable men (and women). Possibly not by the jackals who abound in the precincts of the Diyawanna, but by all else who are decent and civilized.

Indeed this country has been blessed.

Let us hope this comment gets through and not get edited by your fully biased editors, in which case at least they will read it.

You see, it is one thing to write an article about how bad a government was. A completely different one when all that is written here is a bunch of heavy accusations, but not an ounce of actual evidence of any corruption.

I believe that the people voted freely this election and that they expected change. However, you cannot just accuse the former government of corruption, being cronies, and being jackals, if you don’t bother to show atleast the slightest bit of research that you made on why they as you say are cronies.

Sri Lanka’s media has mostly shown their preference for the ‘greener’ party in some way or another, but the key to a good article is atleast justifying your stance on the former government, instead of making an article that satisfies the thirst for hatred in just over 50% of the population.

our readers now, in keeping with the Article of Mr. H. Bandara:-
      – or Listen in case you are lazy to read – https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kwFRgMySYBs
(Statement by the United Front Of The Peradeniya University Lectueres And Alumni)
” Friends, time has come to educate one another about the massive corruption that happens in Sri Lanka under the Present Regime. The Executive has taken the lead in this process resulting in massive debt, virtually mortgaging our mother land to foreign countries. Each individual and even the unborn in Sri Lanka owes close to Rs 400,000.00 as debt to China and other lending agencies. Country is in the threshold of bankruptcy. Today more than 50% parliament members have not even passed the O/L examination. Present regime has no respect for education. Country’s development could be achieved only by educating people. We emphasise that more than 6% of the GDP need to be allocated for education, which the emerging new leadership has promised. Hence we strongly feel that the present regime should be removed for a more thoughtful, compassionate and considerate leadership to take reins to spearhead this beautiful nation to be a DEVELOPED NATION devoid of corruption, family favouritism and protected independent Judiciary. This Government ……… 1. Promised that the presidential system will be repealed, in the “Mahinda Chinthanaya”, instead extended the number of times a president could contest from two times to unlimited. 2. Robbed around 95 Million LKR from the “Tsunami” fund ( Helping Hambantota ) donated by the Japanese government. This was his first political robbery apart from what he made as the Minister of Fisheries. 3. Let all the ministers of his cabinet to rob at their will, hence he could blackmail them. He turned a blind eye when his Prime Minister imported Drugs and few members of his cabinet importing illegal ethanol and drugs. 4. Alienated the country towards China resulting in India developing bitterness with Sri Lanka. 5. Obtained loans from China at rates higher than Libor (London Interbank Offered Rate) to earn commissions. These commissions in billions were routed to Swiss bank accounts via Seychelles, where MR opened a branch of Bank of Ceylon and also an Embassy in a country where only 92000 thousand people live. Sri Lankan airline flies to Seychelles. 6. Built a port where no ships come. Air Port where no Airplanes land. He made billions of commissions doing these projects. 7. Made money building Roads : The cost per km of the Outer Circular Highway from Kadawatha to Kerawalapitiya financed by China is US$ 56 m(Rs.7.3billion) This cost is three times higher than the Kottawa Kaduwela extension of the Southern Highway financed by Japan ,which is Rs.2.4 billion per km. 8. The cost per km of Extension of the Southern Highway from Mattala to Hambantota will cost Rs.2.14billion, whereas per km cost of the Southern Highway cost only Rs.975m 9. Bid price of A9 road was Rs.140 m per km when the departmental estimate for an A class road was Rs. 20m. 10. Construction of the Norochchole Coal Power Project was awarded to a well- established Chinese contractor at US$280.00M in 2005 by the previous regime. Soon after present regime came into power it cancelled the contract and awarded it to another inexperienced Chinese firm at US$520 million-almost double the previous price. Plant is inoperative even after 2years of completion. 11. On a dispute between Essential Services Commissioner and Asset Maritime (Pvt) Ltd arbitrator-a retired High Court Judge awarded Rs.600,000.00 as compensation to the company. A Committee appointed by the President on the intervention of the First Lady awarded Rs.180 million to this company owned by Dhammika Perera and Nishantha Wickramasinghe- latter being a brother of First Lady. 12. Due to the ill-conceived Hedging deal of the Ceylon Petroleum Corporation headed by Asantha de Mel (a person connected to the political establishment) lost Rs. 230 billion in2007. No one has been held accountable for huge loss of public funds. 13. Failed to initiate investigations on 29 journalists murdered or disappeared. Lasantha W, Pradeep Eknaligoda 14. Failed to initiate investigations into the deaths of Members of Parliament 1. Raviraj and one other. 15. Appointed 38 numbers of the Presidents family and extended family, to diplomatic missions. 16. Turned a blind eye on losses at Mihin Air to the tune of 6-8 Billion, made by his closest buddy Sajin vas Gunawardane who had been criminally charged previously. He appointed his brother in Law Nishantha Wickramasinghe to Sri Lankan Airlines who has no formal education and made losses to the tune of Rs 70 billion to date. 17. Influenced the judiciary to President’s benefit. Impeached the 43rd Chief Justice for no reason. Makes judicial appointments to his benefit. 18. Allows Presidents children to play (Car races) on the streets of Colombo at their will by closing roads. He over ruled Mahanayake Theroes to hold car races for his children in Kandy town. 19. Failed to nominate Election, Police, Public Service and Judicial services commissions. 20. Udayanga Weeratunga – Sri Lankan Ambassador to Russia. Cousin of President Rajapakse. Accused of involving in a shady deal to purchase MIG Fighters for the Sri Lankan Air force. 21. Paid 700.00Million rupees to Prabhakaran to purchase weapons to kill innocent Sinhalese using Karuna Amman who is now a deputy Minister and a Vice President of the SLFP. He uses Kumar Pathmanathan alias LTTE arms dealer to his personal benefit. 22. How Karuna was sent to London “ On August 30, 2007 the Department of Immigration and Emigration issued a diplomatic passport number D1944260 in the name of “Kokila Dushmantha Gunawardena” whose occupation on the passport was given as Director General of Wildlife Conservation. The photograph on the passport was that of Karuna Amman. The Department of Immigration, it is pertinent to note, comes under the Ministry of Defence, Public Security, Law and Order of which Gotabaya Rajapakse is Secretary and President Rajapakse the Minister”. 23. Failed to conduct an impartial inquiry into killing of around 43 prisoners at the Welikada Prison. 24. Did nothing to improve the economy and failed to introduce workers charter. Economy in shambles. 25. Arranged for his son to sit for the Law exams in an isolated air-conditioned room, away from the other candidates. 26. Killed protesters in Rathupaswala (8), Free Trade Zone (1) and Chilaw (4). He used maximum force on all protestors.”
Lets be happy that a rising Dictator was “killed” on 08-01-2015

“What I meant by lion is Sinhalese”.
“I mingle with Buddhist ‘lions’, not “one size fit for all religion’s” jackals”

It is said that Jarapassas Clan are From Malaccan ancestry and Negambo lansas also their close relatives. NBo need to go for DNA tests .
The Malay Face Shows the Genealogy connection.

So how you can find So called “Buddhist ‘lions”.

Please Do not Insult Buddhism .
And Do not Insult Lions Also.
Lions never become to Hyenas level like Jarapassa Shit eating Pigs.
Jarapassas are not Buddhists and as you say they are the “religion’s jackals”,
They sell the Religion , THE BUDDHISM and the LTTE’s War as Their Own.

What and How many Precepts do they Observe and Safe guard?????.
            any you can say???.

            They are Thieves,
            They are Killers,

They are ,Hard drugs, liquor consumers and dealers,

So 5 Precepts are broken from the first instant
and YOU CLAIM that,” THEY ARE SO CALLED BUDDHIST LIONS”.

            In that case,

(JULAMPITIYE AMARAYA – June 13, 2015 at 12:39 pm) The following is what you said about Sirisena one week ago.

“We Know Mr Mr Sirisena Observe. At least 4 precepts, As He is not a Namesake Buddhist. He is not Doing Killings, He is not doing Thefts, He is not womaniser. He Does not Consume liquor, As a Politician Of course He Must Lie, Cannot help He should lie to the world. That is the Way of politicians”.

Today, you are telling us :

“We can say, thinking, that Mr Sirisena is a Buddhist with at least 3 Precepts observing”

Isn’t this interesting? At the rate Sirisena dropping ‘percepts’, in another two weeks, you will label him as a non-Buddhist like you.

Go and get a life JULAMPITIYE AMARAYA.

so former president Jarapassa is dead now.

that is the precept mr Sirisena dropped from last 4 precept he was observing.

                And you must know that,

You SAY; “Recent reports say that Sri Lanka’s post colonial political arena has not seen a politician with greater humility, sounder integrity, better intentions and unflinching commitment to democracy and the rule of law than the current President Maithripala Sirisena. “He has already proved that he has no hunger for power”.

This is a serious joke. Sirisena and integrity, my foot. ‘Integrity’ means doing the right thing even when no one is watching! Sirisena plotted behind his party leader’s back for years and back-stabbed him and defected his original SLFP to contest against the leader, from a rival party. Not only that, his “greed and power for hunger” made him secure the Chair of the SLFP and Leadership of the UPFA, the party he betrayed without a shame at the election. His only aim now is to not letting SLFP and UPFA secure the majority in the Parliament ever again. Does that make you recognize him “for his best intentions”? “He is committed to ‘rule of law”??? Do witch-hunting political opponents and cultivating and maintaining people like Mervyn and Duminda show his commitment to rule of law?

I don’t see any ‘humility” in Sirisena. The political stupidity along with ignorance doesn’t make anybody humble. What we see is indecisiveness and postponing decisions until they no longer relevant. He sways 18 times to the left and 18 times to the right. Sirisena doesn’t have a vision, objectivity or clear direction on any matters of importance. You should have studied your “subject” better.

In comparison, Sirisena can’t hold a candle to Mahinda Rajapaksa.

You SAY: “Maithri has said that he would not contest another election. Standing firmly on that ground he should do the right thing rather than giving into undue political pressures. He should tell all those who want Mahinda back to leave the party and contest on their own or form their own party. “

By contesting against the rightful leader of the SLFP from a rival alliance, Sirisena himself made him a “non-native’ of the SLFP. Mahinda Rajapaksa is the genuine “Twenty-Four-Carat” owner of the SLFP who has the support of almost every single loyalist of the party. If Sirisena has no intention to contest again, what is he doing in the SLFP other than making every effort to ruin the party? Mahinda doesn’t need anybody’s advice. When the right time comes, he will take the right decision for the best interest of the country and the people, who support him irrespective of party affiliations.

You SAY: “The mere presence of them would dissuade the voters from supporting any party that they belong to. Some examples are Johnston Fernando, Marvin Silva, Duminda Silva, Sajin Vass and Wimal Weerawansa”.

I vehemently condemn your attempt in insulting Wimal Weerawansa by adding his name with Mervyn, Sajin and Duminda. It shows your envy and spitefulness for his amazingly exceptional achievement in “bringing Mahinda back” as promised to masses. Wimal “dissuade the voters from any party”??? Man, Wimal is the most loved and the most popular PARTY LEADER in Sri Lanka, after MAHINDA. He is immensely respected and hailed by people in this country for his unswerving integrity and patriotism.

Again, you should have studied your subject better!

MR has a unshakable broad-base support. The ratio of MR:MS is approx: 99:1.

When the election comes Maithripala Sirisena should steal votes from every party. One way to do that is get rid of all the criminals and thieves in the SLFP.

give papers even to UNPers or retired Army generals who are honest and competent.

Right now, it is paradise for incompetents, criminals, thieves and con artists.

      Its a good idea.

That was what his former leader did over more than ten years. Maithiri should follow in his foot steps. One more election strategy: he also should attempt to buy votes. He might find it difficult for VP is not around to do him a favour.

    Maithri Should Sack Them All:

I like to join the Chorus and sing the Song of Praise for MS. But I am holding back my tears and singing the Song of Praise is the last thing on my mind.

Let me give you my take on this.

    1) Recent reports say that Sri Lanka’s post colonial political arena has not seen a politician with greater humility, sounder integrity, better intentions and unflinching commitment to democracy and the rule of law than the current President Maithripala Sirisena. He has already proved that he has no hunger for power, he refrains from abusing power, he resents the extravagant lifestyle of a politician that is inappropriate for a poor country and has honourable intentions in upholding democracy and creating a lawful and equal society for all.

*** You need to seperate the Heart ( Body ) from the Soul.
MS has his Heart in the right place but his Soul is driven by his desire to keep the promise he gave to the War winning Criminal to protect him.

    2) Yet there are some groups working hard to cause his downfall with the hope of staging a comeback of a person who was full of vices and who possesses values quite contrary to the values detailed above.

*** Those who are trying to cause his downfall have a valid reason as they are outraged at the temporaary halt to Ethnic Cleansing and Colonisation.

    3) Maithripala Whilst not denying the credit for playing his part in defeating the LTTE, it is of utmost importance to analyse whether Mahinda Rajapaksa has made use of the opportunity given him by the citizens of Sri Lanka to develop the country and its people.

*** What makes you think he hasnt delivered on his promise to Sinhalese. He hasnt developed the Tamil Land because he doesnt consider Tamils as Citizens.

    4) The fact that the majority of people rejected him was the clear indication that people of the country were waiting to be rid of his utterly corrupt rule. They voted Maithri in as a result of the deep resentment that they bore against Rajapaksa rule. People were brave to elect the unknown. As fortune favours the brave, Maithri turned out to be the blessed one that the country was yearning for. Should it be wise to reinstate a Caligula to reverse all the good work that is being done and that would hopefully be done in the future.

*** Get your facts right. The Majority voted for MR and it was the Tamil vote which dethroned the King.

    5) I ceased to call Sri Lanka, the Fools’ Paradise, only after the recent Presidential election. I was convinced that most of them have brains. I hope they will prove that again.

*** Do you include the 5.8 millions as having brains. I certainly do.

Sirisena received ONLY 449,000 votes MORE than MR, even after plotting for years and receiving every support from the UNP, JVP, Hela Karumaya and so many other small parties, Muslim majority, Tamil majority, Tamil Diaspora, LTTE diaspora along with heavy international support, colossal funding and intense local and international mobilizing against one ‘single lion king’, Mahinda.

He didn’t get votes for reasons such as, being liked by people or being blessed or MR being resented by people. Mahinda lost entirely due to sheer incompetence and negligence of his election campaigners and organizers which made people indecisive and helpless with their individual unanswered questions. Some of his supporters made themselves available for ‘buying & selling campaign’ of Sirisena and his cronies.

Mahinda could have easily won with a large majority had his campaigners/organizers and party loyalists made a genuine effort in knocking at doors, handing out leaflets, motivating and persuading people to support MR, countering all major ‘popular’ allegations and actively help bringing voters to the polling stations.

In 2005 Mahinda received ONLY 170,000 votes MORE than Ranil after paying a handsome fees to VP for his services to democracy and receiving every support from the SLFP, JVP, Hela Urumaya, and so many other small parties, Muslim majority, …. mainly from racists …..

It was really a victory for VP…

You should consult with Taraki and Janz if you need any support to argue your racist indulgence.

Yes, Mahinda received 190,000 in 2005 with all the backing for Ranil by Chandrika and her cohorts within the SLFP.

It was one of the greatest decisions take by people as just in 4 years Mahinda eradicated LTTE terrorism from our soil and showed people that how capable he was in delivering what he promised.

Then in 2010, he was re-elected with a massive margin of 1.8 million. Again he implemented all his development promises and for the second time he showed people how capable and honest he was in delivering what he promised.

Mahinda Rajapaksa is the only leader in the entire Sri Lankan political history who delivered every promise to the dot.

“It was one of the greatest decisions take by people as just in 4 years Mahinda eradicated LTTE terrorism from our soil”

            Here we go again.

The clown MR was only an incidental to Hindian agenda. Hindia approached Chandrika in late 2004 with a proposal to eliminate LTTE. They provided A to Z in the pursuit of their Agenda. Even the clown and his sibling publicly said that without Hindia they would not have won the war. Again Hindia that ran the war from New Delhi as they did destabilized a few years ago.

“and showed people that how capable he was in delivering what he promised.”

Of course the clown didn’t promise you about emptying the state coffer, continuing his abuse of powers, nepotism, …… all those behaviours considered to be evil by ordinary people. Hitler also won power through ballot box. The planned coup was thwarted by two countries in the early hours of 9th Jan 2015.

Please take few days off from MR as it is too burdensome to carry his clanking b***s 24/7/52.

“The UNP was a rejected party and the sudden emergence as the
ruling party was a lottery drawn to them.”

Typical and cheap argument put forward by the losers to
discredit UNP. The very first job of My3 after taking oath
as the president was, appointing Ranil as the prime minister
and this alone speaks the truth in real length. It was a
huge effort of political and civil orgs and the respected
Ven.Sobitha in the name of the country that made this
change. Without Ranil, My3 wouldn’t have challenged his
boss. UNP lost many elections, yes and it can lose another
one, why not but instead it became a partner in a more
rewarding project that also involved self sacrifice of a
party. This became a historic power sharing operation
thanks to risk taking, sacrifices and compromises from all
quarters of the general public. No doubt that the choice
of the personality for the job was a perfect fitting but
any effort to underestimate the combined effort of all
parties, mainly the UNP , would be very stingy.

Now that the 19th amendment has been passed Sirisena must sack the SLFP MPS who are supporting Rajapaksa and dissolve the parliament as there is little chance of passing the 20th.

That way he can bring a new clean set of young professional candidates to fight the election for the SLFP and probably win the elections for the SLFP. With the same vermin in the SLFP it has no chance of beating the UNP.

Harsha you absolutely right mate, MS should supported by all Sri Lankans to govern this country honestly within his period. We all see every day thousands of whom lost opportunities try to get back MR again.
We need more honest educated people to enter the parliament than those crooks hovering around at the moment, we all always use social media and internet to communicate and inform everyday people and defeat those crooks (some even year 10 pass) try to waste tax payers money.
We shouldn’t let all the lawyers to come to the parliament either because they just know how to decisive others and argue. We need all education background to enter to the parliament and develop the county honestly and have a better future.

MS is a responsible for all corruptions by UNP-Ranil govt. last 160 days.

MS junta regime cannot escape from that punishment all malpractices engaged by illegal an appoint of Ranil as Primer of Sri lanka.

MS has one day will face the accountability of his crime against Republic poor tax payers money of Island.

Specially the current case of Central Bank Governor of Arjuna Mahendran involvement and engagement of Rupees five billions of sovereign Bonds issues and foul play of that inside trading Bond deal which has mainly accountability by MS headed Junta Regime.
