Controversial Buddhist monk Pitiduwe Siridhamma Samantha Badra claims that he used the negative publicity against him to become enormously famous.
In a video posted on youtube, the monk claims that he himself had used a photograph in which he was captured wearing a t-shirt to print posters to increase his fame.
The monk has encountered a storm of controversy over the picture and other allegations made by several women that he had fathered their children. One woman filed a case in court against the monk but the case was dismissed for lack of evidence.

Isn’t it interesting how easily people embrace mad people like this ? This guy says he has attained Nibbhana , the end to all desires , the realization on impermanent , suffering , and selflessness of the being. Do you really think this guy has attained such wisdom? Yet , there are very affluent people follow this guy and fund him..
This shows the extent that Buddhists in Sri Lanka have been lost in their faith. Since recently , many guys like this one but with different forms have been able to command support of Buddhists to their own fanatic views of Buddhism..

His is a very good example – that stupid people themselves make him a pinguththaraya. May be the guy would have been holydaying as a laity person though continuing of his kind of bana while being in the country. There is no sawarakama at all there when he holds his speeches. Even Chimpansies in the Zoo are more gentle than these buggers are. Gone are the days we respected for cheewaraya (safron robe) even if it was put on by wrong ones, but today, I would not even pause to kneel down this kind of monks.

Knowing Hindu society as I do, I would say it is even worse amongst Hindus than Buddhists. Most Hindus are brainwashed as evidenced by the fact they pay Brahmins to pray for them .

Anyway… this is the sad reality of the buddhist monks under the lead of MAHINDA CHINTANYA. Hyprocracy has been infected from Mahinda to all forms of people of the nation to this day.

These kind of people´s bathgullas (pinguththarayas) should be punished by BALUWALIGEN..by a dog´s tail. This reminded me – just now, our grandmother saying to someone who had been continuing with his abusive nature. Many of these monks in general, survive from the food offered to them. They would never work for their living. In Europe, they the people are very angry if yo would not contribute to the tax system but trying to live on social funds offered by the states. But in SL, those poor folks work very hard to face their hard. Sometimes leaving their own children in hunger for one or two meals, these poor folks bring alms to the MONKS,it is just because they believe budda´s blessing get preached by sanga could help them for a better life. Knowing all these evidently, these abusive theros to have no the repay qualities – annoying to me. They have been fully away from their responsibilities about buidling a healthy society, to this day. I think it is high time most respected Prelates to sharpely focus on this and create a set of behavioural guidelines to avoid the damage deliberately made by any monks whose behaviour is seen to be deviate.

I truly believe it is the deficiency of facts to those who if they still respect these monks. Whenever I get back to the country, though 1-2 a year, I get to see, some rural people still have a great respect to any kind of monks if they are in safron robes. They dont seem to rethink before going to offer those monkeys – sometimes the least that they have. Some very poor families bring them breakfast or lunch thinking that Darma preached by any kind of monks could help them to survive their day today hardlife. Actually, this is to our eyes – is great deceit. If poor folks were better aware of the realities aboutthe monks and ruling politicians, they would have reacted with much more responsiblities.It is the wrong info make those vulnerable easily decievable folks make them like those monks and Rajapaske rule.
Right the moment, what those folks are lacking is proper info sources about the truth of anything.
I dont think that leaders like RW would ever try to brainwash people to the manner Rajapakshe thugs have done sofar.

The only purported benefit of circumcision is the less likelyhood of getting the HIV virus but this is not an argument in favor of circumsicion because unless you are living in a region of the world that has a very high AIDS epidemic and lack of protection during sex.
Circumcision is rare in Japan and Europe, and both of these 2 areas of the world are known for their 1st world status and technological advacement .
Circumcision in most of the world is just a religious mandate and is pushed by religious extremists who then try to use scientific arguments to claim they are right, but as I mentioned above there is no scientific benefit to circumcision in the developed world or any area where AIDS is not epidemic propotions.
The only people pushing for circumsicion to remain in Europe are Jews and Muslims. The former because they see circumcision as part of Jewish ethnic identity and the later because their religion mandates it.
Circumcision is nothing short of unnecessary mutiliation of a minor, on the same level as female genital mutilation; both of which are barbaric bronze age practices that have no place in the civlized world.

Please listen to the whole youtube of his sermon. Remember when you hate him, you are hurt first. :) I am definitely not asking you to accept what he is saying or to worship him, but listen to his sermon from a neutral perspective for 30 to 40 minutes. I invite you to try and leave the judgments aside about the monk before you listen to the whole youtube. Afterwards you can carry on hating him or blaming him. :)
