Member Of The ‘Tripoli Army Gang’ To Be Arrested Over Assault On Editor

An army intelligence officer named Lalith Rajapaksa who used to serve in the Maradana Tripoli camp, is to be arrested over the 2009 assault on former Rivira newspaper Editor Upali Tennakoon. The suspect’s fingerprints have been found on Tennakoon’s car but the suspect has failed to provide reasons as to how his fingerprints ended up on Tennakoon’s car.

Upali

The discovery of the fingerprints marks a major breakthrough in the investigations into the assassinations and abductions of journalists and editors during the Rajapaksa regime. Probes linked the crimes to a gang of intel officers who operated off the Maradana Tripoli and fell under the purview of Ex Defense Secretary Gotabaya Rajapaksa .

Coordinating Secretary to the Attorney General, State Counsel Nishara Jayaratne has told the Sunday Morning that the CID has been instructed to arrest the army intel officer and produce him before Court.

The Instructions had been communicated on June 27 to the CID.

The Rajapaksa’s used these rogue military goons, and killers, to threaten and harm journalists, who criticized them. Tyrants silencing the right to free speech.
We have yet to see justice for those who were killed like Lasantha Wickrematunge.

How about the killers who were responsible for the vicious death of young Thajudeen.

Do we want to go through this hell again? Think carefully before you vote for the same

The sacked police chief Pujitha someone said Sirisena offered him an ambassadorship to take the blame for the Easter bombings.

There are all sorts of offers and counteroffers going-on behind the scenes.

Sirisena is desperate for a second-term ……… people may not think of it as such …….. but thousands of years after the Mayans/Aztecs he has started offering human-sacrifices in pursuit of a second-term ……. trying to restart hangings …… there’s no other way to put it.

To think that Experienced pols and Buddhists monks brought forward this man thinking he is a paragon of Lankan-Buddhist virtue …….. shows how idiotic Lankans can be even in the 21st century.

It’s crazy for anyone to even attempt to write anything intelligently about Lanka.

In spite of all the hullabaloo and razzmatazz of many ……. Lanka ever had only one truly great intellect; Mr T. B. Udurawana.

When asked “Are you mad or am I mad?”

      His answer, “Both respectively.”

No other Lankan has ever even come close to matching his intelligence and power of observation!

Well, I’m trying my best ……… but it’s a bridge too far …………

Minor correction. The father was H. B. Udurawana and the eldest son was Vijitha Jayaraja Bandara (V.J.B.) Udurawana.

That’s the plan behind all this. This loony ‘Gramasevaka’ wants to contest once again. We call this a ‘Mandalay Kachal’.

Anyone else here who also feels that nothing major will come from this investigation? It took them ten years to find this ‘major breakthrough’. The intel officer will be arrested, questioned and bailed. End of story.

      Paddy,
These were state-sponsored crimes. MaRa/GoRa took extreme care to erase all the possible clues to evade arrests. They also used their power to discourage investigation into such crimes. One thing MaRa/GoRa constantly boast about is the unprecedented high-level national security during their time. If that is true, how did all these very high-profile crimes went undetected unless they were committed under state patronage?

All these “GANGS” operated under “ONE COMMAND” and that was “GOTA” the then Secretary of Defense. Now the “Investigators” must “EXTRACT” from these “Gangs” under whose “Command” they operated. At this moment that “Information” will not come, because all these “Gang” members are heavily “Involved” in planning a “Crowning Ceremony” for that “ONE COMMAND” under whom they carried out all these atrocities. All of them along with the “Front Liners” of “Intellectuals” both in “Buddha Robes” and “Civilian Attire” are busy planning and executing that “Plan” awaiting that “Central Command” to be announced in the coming month. This “Break Through” is therefore not in the hands of the “Investigators” but it is the PEOPLE who must “SMASH” those “Plans” and bring ALL (from the very TOP to BOTTOM) to face JUSTICE and AWARD Justice to all those who suffered severe INJUSTICE.

Sri Lanka needs Hitler to come back and handle this situation. We can not let NGO dollar Kaakkas, corrupt media and Parliamentary dirty Hyenas handle everything. What is happening to Sri lanka is Public news. Dollar Kaakkaas are there only to brain wash the public but the reality will be different. both Tamils and Muslims understand it and they are different from LTTE and Wahhabis.
Now, LTTE, Wahhabis, NGo-Dollar Kaakkaas and Parliamentary dirty Heynas are one front.

With time running out, Sira is now making his moves. He is turning on the screws on Gota to prevent him from running for the presidency. Apparently Sira’s efforts to clinch SLFP-SLPP nomination is going nowhere. So in his desperation he has stepped up his selective activation of the judicial process to cling to power. Unfortunately this kind of blatant interference with the criminal justice system has become part of our political culture. But even then some good can come out of this mess if Sira can send Gota and the rest of the Rajapaksa Mafia to jail for the grave crimes they have committed. Will the Patholaya muster the courage to do it? If he does, then he can ensure his name is mentioned at least in a footnote when history is written.

Only when elections are around the corner we hear such cases becoming alive again. Thereafter once elections are over, same old dormant state. We need a complete new outfit to administrate the country.
