More Defections From The Rajapaksa Regime

It has been an eventful day in the field of politics today as in an unlikely turn of events – the leader of the second largest Muslim party Rishard Bathiudeen pledged his and his party’s support to common candidate Maithripala Sirisena this morning.

Rishard Bathiudeen

Minister Rishad Badurdeen

The announcement was made during a press conference held in Colombo this morning where Bathiudeen who is also the Minister of Industry and Commerce in the Rajapaksa regime stated that the decision was made on behalf of the interests of his community.

He pointed out that the government’s continued affiliation with groups such as the Bodu Bala Sena that spreads anti-Muslim hatred that was made evident through its recent pledge to support MR in his candidacy for Presidency, was one of the main reasons that compelled them to leave the government.

Along with Bathiudeen, MP Amir Ali who was sworn in just last week to fill in the position that became vacant following the resignation of AHM Azwer also pledged his support to Sirisena.

Currently the number of crossovers to the common Opposition from the UPFA has risen to a total of 14 and today alone, over 50 pradeshiya sabha members pledged their support to the common Opposition as well.

Meanwhile, former parliamentarian and Tamil United Liberation Front (TULF) V. Anandasangaree has also pledged his support to Sirisena, local media reported.

He may have assaulted a judge, but the whole legal fraternity is send for dogs by the Rakapaksas and the top of the icing was the assault on the sec of JSC and subsequent chase away the 43rd Chief Justice who was against a Raapaksa bill and replaced by a C-H-E-A-T Justice.

The damage done my Rajapaksas to the Judiciary is nothing compared for this guy.

        Yes Matilda Akke,
        you are right.
What we need is more to be joined to chase away the bugger in power. Today having heard the way how he further manipulates his gulliable rural masses, I felt, who does he think he is ? This bugger has introduced a violent cutlure to the nation. Telling sober somthing and practising totally otherway around is his nature. His true colours he will show soon after the bugger will be dfeated on the very day 9th Jan.
Opposition have to work on the common noble goal which is nothing else, say good bye to ballige puthas that have been in violent mode towards their own citizens today.

“Opposition have to work on the common noble goal”.

To revive Taraki’s spirit so that he can work from within Colombo media to divide the country.

As the preson who christened and introduced Taraki to his role from Colombo, I take the lead in this noble task.

We want the charisma of Taraki in this counry as I said at the time of his death (like a dog).

A spurious “secret agreement” purportedly signed between Maithripala Sirisena, the common opposition leader and Ranil Wickremesinghe the leader of UNP is put out in the glare of wide publicity by the Rajapakse mudslinging unit using the UNP dissident Tissa Attanayake. This fake agreement letter/document with signatures of Maithri and Ranil, has been prepared by the Rajapakse’s mudslinging team led by Dallas and Heeralu Herath along with former UNP General Secretary and Health Minister Tissa Attanayake.

Could you tell us were the valid reasons which warranted this honourable person to take the law into his hand and punish the judge.

“This guy is capable he has done commendable work to uplift the portfolio of his ministry.”

Could you also tell us all his commendable work that you say he has done in his ministry.

Did you say he lifted his private investment portfolio?

Rishard did not, or other Muslim politicians who are still with MR Govt., will not leave the Govt. and join the opposition in the interests of the Muslim community; but do so only in their personal interests. Rishard and Rauff Hakeem had enough reasons that affected the Muslim community to leave the Govt. Besides their personal reasons, neither of them wanted to take the first step of leaving before the other. Now realizing that the general mood of the people is in favour of Maithripala, and the fact that the overwhelming majority of the Muslim people too have already on their own have decided to support Maithripala, these Muslim politicians have no other way but to leave the Govt. Now that Rishard has taken the decision to leave Rauff Hakeem too will follow suit as he cannot allow Rishard only to be with the opposition and get the best from it and also now Rauff Hakeem has got the opportunity to leave, which is certain to happen, as already indirectly said by SLMC Secretary, Hassen Ali. As for the misbehaviour of Rishard on the allegation of assaulting the Judge, is it not the story of ‘becoming a thief when joining a band of thieves’.

Not only did Rishard Bathuideen assault the Mannar magistrate and get away, He is also reported to have recently assaulted the presenter of the Minnal programme.
This news was reported in a news paper published out of SL but it appeared in the Info Lanka web site..

The presenter of the said programme is an MP, and God only knows why the Hon. Speaker had not done anything about it.

Because Rishard had been a supporter of MR he had had a charmed life, and so far and not faced any court proceedings initiated against him.

But that may now, no longer be possible if Sirisena, provided he wins is wise enough to change tac and insists on the application of the Rule of Law.

“The presenter of the said programme is an MP, and God only knows why the Hon. Speaker had not done anything about it.”

Sri Ranga is another turncoat who had been elected from UNP and crossed over to MR side to support 18 A , this is another MR’s shameless lackey but pretending nothing has happened , most of the time he represents sirasa “Satana ” program and go on asking difficult questions from the fellow politicians , at last he got what he really deserved , well done Rishard.

Sirisena”s camp should not have entertained this scoundrel. MY3 already has the Muslim votes in his bag. This scoundrel’s allegiance will not make any difference. He has either crossed seeing the tide or as a spy of MARA. whichever way MY3 should be cautious.
The other scoundrel Hakeem is still wondering and waiting for the right time to do the pole vault. This fellow is worse than Gamanpilla and has a history of somersaulting not for community’s benefit but solely for his and his family’s benefit just like MARA.

Its true, What you said. But the problem is that we need MPs, It doesn’t matter if he/she doing for own benefit. Because the opposition common candidate needs more MPs to control the parliament, This all matters first.

RE: More Defections From The Rajapaksa Regime

      The Flood Gates are opening..

As a long and violent abuse of power, is generally the Means of calling the right of it in question (and in Matters too which might never have been thought of, had not the Sufferers been aggravated into the inquiry) and as the Medamulana Mahinda Rajapaksa hath undertaken in his own right, to support the Parliament in what he calls theirs, and as the good people of this country are grievously oppressed by the combination, they have an undoubted privilege to inquire into the pretensions of both, and equally to reject the usurpation of either

  • 10

Well Done!!! Let’s wait and see… there are over 30 MPs and Ministers crossing over to support Mr. Maithripala Sirisena 3-4 days before the election.

    • 7
      0

Even more than that will come to Maithri after the election, Because they clearly want the Ministerial posts under Maithri, However the people who have crossed over to Maithri earlier will receive better position because Maithri will give them so much respect for risking their post in MR’s Govt and crossing over to opposition for better future for the citizens…

      • 2
        0

But be careful. Those hangers on that cross over when going looks good are the vultures that ruined and destroyed MR’s original good intentions for the country. Such prostitutes have no principles; they will cling to where ever the going is good and live like parasites. Maithri, you be careful of them, and do not hug them just to make up your numbers. Select and hang those who have been villains and rogues under MR’s sponsorship.

Is he the one who regularly wrote letters to VP and MR and never received reply from both?

A wise move. Nothing like showing disapproval for the regime’s complicity in the crimes against minority, or the fact that they did nothing, when Muslims and minority were attacked by thugs pretending to be Buddhists, and joining the opposition in this fight. It seems some self respecting politicians are able to reject the bribes and promises by the Rajapaksa’s, and walk over to the other side.
A truly welcome decision. If only Hakeem was just as honorable.

Vaasi petthata hoiyya! MR, M3, CBK…. all of them are hypocritical power hungry bar stewards. Baithudeen is another. Don’t expect good governance from any of them. If M3 wins he will have to satisfy Baithudeen with a good ministry.

    • 7

Very true. I can’t see any difference between the two camps !

All ministers of Government crosses over for the benefit of people, While Bathiudeen admitted that the President didn’t perform what Bathiudeen’s community wanted.

Now there are ministers in Government that they’re still awaiting to crossover which will get into effort after the election. Around 30-40 MPs will crossover to Maithripala’s Government in February to April till the parliament is dissolved. During the 100 days of his programme that the MPs will support in effort for the abolishment of Executive Presidency with the 2/3 majority or referendum.

You cannot call them power greedy, CBK, M3 all wanted to change the country into proper economic growth, But MR doesn’t want to do that, He want to develop the roads, railway etc, This will not benefit the people, But will bring lot of wastage of public funds.

While CBK said that she wouldn’t be hosting any politics role under Maithri’s Government, As she also said that she simply want to save her party from MR government, Because MR is turning the Bandaranaikes philosophy into dictatorial regime which would serious cause harm to the people and the country.

Also CBK said that she will not be entering into parliament or ministerial role under Maithripala’s Government, How do you expect that she is greedy for power?

Man this is great news. He did it for his community and that is a good thing. We salute you. Of course we do have many good supporters from the Buddhist community as well, who are totally against minority bashing, but they never came out openly and condemned what BBS, SR, SU and JHU were doing to stir the pot. RaufHakim can cling on to his post in the sinking ship, feigning uncertainty, blaming him it on his party’s indecisiveness. His vacillation does not do much to support his tears of hurt and sorrow that he could not help his community at the height of the Aluthgama/Beruwela melee. In other words, he has already lost his grip on the Muslim community he represents since he has shown that he is only interested in his own perks and position. Now is the time to be with the community when they need a dependable leader and he has failed miserably.

Where was his justice when he snatched lands belonging to the innocent Tamils and especially of a widow’s land on which she depended for her living. What about his injustices to the Tamils at Mullaitivu. There was a news items when appeared in Buddhist robe with the BBS. I think Mahinda or Gota may publish this photo again.

MS must have another secret agreement with this guy as well, same like the one he had with ranil which is totally opposite to his 100 day dream. Thanks to tissa it became public, otherwise nobody knows it until it’s too late.

MS has become a headless chicken running all over the place without any purpose or direction, and getting tangle in a spider web. By a miracle if he wins all hell will break loose on Jan 9th since he has so many secret agreements contradicting each other.

Most likely there will be a coup to take control of the power and the country will be destroyed within 100 days. God bless and happy new year to Sri Lanka !!!

These Muslim politicians joining the pack, of this unholy alliance.hoping to grab a slice of the spoils if the unthinkable happens,is a blessing in disguise in a sense as far as the great majority of the inhabitant population are concerned..

This great majority , mainly Sinhala Buddhists are poor rural people in the main.

They have no option of getting refuge status in greener pastures.

Neither do they have relatives who are living in the rich world in the West.

They and their future generations have only the Motherland to make a living continue their existence .

After Reading the “Sirisena -Ranil Wickremasinghe pact” signed by Ranil on behalf of the LTTE proxy TNA ,its contents don’t augur well for Srilanka as a one Nation..

This agreement, in fact, ensures that all LTTE wishes are going to get fulfilled .

Without our great majority not knowing what the hell is going on.

If the Muslims are also with the Sirisena Wickremasinghe government, it will be hard for the TNA to annex the East, despite the Ranil Sira agreement.

The East at least will be accessible to the South without restrictions, because of the large Sinhala population there.

That is assuming that Bathudeen and the militant Assath Sally who is already part of the pack don’t ask for an ISGA from Mr Wickremasinghe.

And give our Eastern brethren Sharia Law ..

No need to slang people for their decisions. You have done everything else but addressed the real issue that make people desert MR. I.e. Why this corruption at a massive scale? Why this lack of law and order in the country? Why this total disintegration of the public services, discipline and accountability by all levels of people bearing power and executive privileges? Why thugs are running the country’s administration at all levels? Why criminals that are UPFA, members, supporters or vote collectors have one law while all the rest of the country have another law? Why law courts and AGs offices have been politicized, and why law enforcement agencies have been neutered by politicians and thugs working for UPFA politicians, preventing them to act enforcing the law by the book? Why the underprivileged people are being taxed beyond their capability, whereas the elite of the UPFA live at immense wealth and luxuries on the back of public funding? Where does MR and his funding machinery obtain immense wealth to pay off MPs jumping sides or to retain them, whereas their salary entitlements are miniscule compared to their pay outs? We need answers to these questions and the way MR is proposing to rectify these misdeeds. We all appreciate what MR did politically to liberate the country, but that is no excuse for the present mis-governance. Please deal with the issues that make people desert him.
