MR Given Extensive Security Despite His Complaints

Cabinet Spokesman Minister Rajitha Senaratne today said former President Mahinda Rajapaksa has been assigned way more than the number of security personnel and vehicles that have been stipulated to be assigned to an ex-President by the Supreme Court, although he constantly complains of the lack of security and vehicles facilities, and of how he is being ill-treated by the new government.

Mahinda CarMinister Senarathne speaking at the Cabinet press briefing today said, “The SC has very clearly stated that an ex-President should only be given two official vehicles, a security vehicle, three drivers, fuel and an official residence. . .”

However, MR’s vehicle fleet currently includes: Two bullet-proof high security vehicles, one dummy vehicle, a Toyota land cruiser and a cab.

“These have been accepted in writing signed by MR’s secretary Lalith Weeratunga,” the Minister said.

The Minister said MR’s security detail includes a total of 213 military and police personnel and said three double cabs, two vans, eight motorbikes, one bus, a land cruiser and a cab has been assigned for the transportation of the security personnel.

RE: MR Given Extensive Security Despite His Complaints

Expose the Medamulana Mahinda Rajapaksa, the Fake.

Tell the true story, that there are so many Sri lankans are after him and their cronies, The Crooks, Robbers and Criminals, CRCs, that the state need to protect the fake in order to bring the fake to justice.

Medamulana Mahinda Rajapaksa is an insult to the Sri Lankan Common Sense.

Only those Modayas and Mootals, called Fools, with IQs less than 79 are impressed by the Medamulana MaRa and his CRCs.

“Amarasiri seems to be very much uncontrollable for he himself when it comes to hating MR. Bad temper is not good for the health. Kindly reminder to you, Amarasiri.”

It has nothing to do with temper. It has everything to do with calling a spade a spade. A liar, a liar.

If the Earth rotates on its own axis, and dpes around the Sin inclined at an angle, so be it, despite what the ancients, the Church or Medamulana MaRa or his Astrologers say.

Does Mr. Mahinda Rajapalksa have Alzheimer’s?

Mahinda Has Got Alzheimer’s By Shyamon Jayasinghe –

          https://www.colombotelegraph.com/index.php/mahinda-has-got-alzheimers/

The Ada Derana of February 27th this year reports a speech made by former President Mahinda Rajapaksa where he stated that, “not only politicians but their wives and children have to be safeguarded from the government now, as they are being harassed one by one by one.” Rajapakse was referring to the recent arrest of former Minister Wimal Weerawansa’s wife, Shashi Weerawansa, on charges of falsifying documents to obtain a Diplomatic Passport. He was speaking at the Colombo National Hospital after having visited Mrs. Weerawansa who was warded in the hospital.

Rajapaksa condemned this act as being “hateful politics,” or
the politics of revenge. “I believe it’s wrong to do such things to extract revenge from politicians,” Rajapaksa added. Capping it all the former President reportedly said,” I didn’t do that. No one can point the finger at me. This is why I can point the finger at others”

This stupid shamless ‘danthaya’ thinks he knows every thing and has answers to every thing.
The ex president is a target of the LTTE diaspora and claerly has a security threat. What he needs today is not stupid empty threats from an empty vassal like this jarajitha but good security for what he has done this country. True there are some disgrasful, disgusting, ungrateful muck with some of the LTTE rump, demand his head.
He deserves all the security he needs and it is the bounded duty of all to see that he gets it. excuses and cover stories won’t do.

NAK the Islamist in Buddhist clothes.
Was passa not the chief of commonwealth? Was not the LTTE proscribed as the worlds most ruthless terrorist. 7/7 was planned and executed by Pakistani/Bengali terrorist born in UK.

If that was the case he could have found exile in London close to mahabodhi and the London tax payer would have footed a bill of £1 million per month for security alone.
This was afforded to his close muslim friend Musharraf after he verbally abused Tony Blair. He stayed at London for 2 years before he decided it was time to get back and contest.

What he is requesting for is a brigade not security so that he may start a rebellion and capture power by the bullet like Musharraf.

He should be sent to join Bin larden now that job is done- did he not do it to other army men- condom.
You are definetly a mercenary employed by his gang of thugs not a miltary man to defend the nation.

We boast about 2500 years old civilized culture, special Buddhism (better than Zen or Tibetan???) .. But even after 2500 years of civilisation, ex-president needs 213 military and police protection to have a normal peaceful day to day retired life .. I am wondering what type of permanent security ex-gov leaders of Zierra Leone or Pakistan required??? Do those ex-presidents have bigger or less threat from their own citizens than SL?

I cannot decide which is more stupid about this comment..the fact that this Mr/s. Alahakoon did not know that Benazir Bhutto who was assassinated was an ex-head of state of Pakistan or the fact that Mr/s. Alahakoon has decided to equal Sierra Leon to Sri Lanka (oh no! s/he called Sierra Leone Zierra Leon..Oh you are a lost cause!)

      Dear Srilal,
      I checked this video thanks.
See even today this pseudo buddhist makes all derogatory statements USING his usual filthy terms. THis kind of terms must be banned to use publicly – atlead current minister of buddhist affairs should focus on the issue. This Ghanasara is a pain for the entire lanken nation. He should have been sent to Jail long ago. ALone the manner his hate mongering costed the state and people that much – was a high criminal act. How many of Beruwala (or aluthgama ) had to suffer due to those riots destroyed their properties. All these were only becuas of this man#s activities. I think this man Ghanasara is the most hateful person in srilanka today. These kind of monks to allow in buddhist monk life should be investigated without any delay.

      • 5
        1

        You are dead right.

But if one would come with putting this Ghanasara in jail for the rest of his life until he becomes humanized… then it will be the day of my happiness. Barbaric monk is like a deadly virus to lanken society. Even today dare to challenge the head of state ” calling him as this Sirisenaya – ” how come this kind of barbaric person to know how President SIrisena has to behave ? His excellency president is thousand time seelawanthai than this bugger who is seen most aggressive bonaboo of all times. As laymen we are all more respectful than this idiot. He is a curse for entire Sanga community. If I were prez I would have put him jail with rehablitation him to come to sense

    • 4
      1

Just because all mighty god offered him a mouth, this Ghanasara must not abuse it to this manner. If Mervin (kelaniya) succeeded it, why cant this bugger be civilized ? At least today, in an environment I BELIEVE law and order is execised at least to some considerable level (not as had been in the recent past under the Gorilla man MR#s guidance).

I wonder many have made complaints against those perpetrators, but none made yet any complaint against THIS BARBARIC MAN IN RED ROBES- born to destroy our nation just in the guise of LANKEN BUDDHISM: What kind of majority issues he is refering here ? These men are real criminals, not worth to eat poor man#s alms. I hate to see this, at least next time when visting lanka – I will make a compalaint against this barbaric monk to the very manner one professor is said to have filed it against Mervin Silva on the issue of tying a Samurdhi man to a tree post- and not holding any kind of investigations on that let alone today.

This saffron clad thug will create enormous problems for the Sirisena government. He and his ilk should be made to shut up. The press should act responsibly and not give him opportunities to make his anti-minority hate speeches. He is so disrespectful to the president and shows contempt for common decency in public life. The animal that belongs to the Rajapaksa era must be silenced and silenced now.

But this Gnasara gets publicity even if he sneezes. It is the media that pushes him up. I wonder why they do that. Do they support him. He has been caught for consuming liquor while driving and then he has been very nasty on the highway to a policeman. I wish they publish these also in the media

Only MR can guage the Security needs of his once you read the Regimes capabilities
revealed recently in an inside story:- by Suresh Perera Courtsey Island:
“With President Maithripala Sirisena’s revelation to Sandeshaya, BBC’s Sinhala Service in London, that there were plans to “destroy his whole family” if he lost the presidential poll, political sources recalled how the then common candidate was escorted under cover of darkness to an estate owned by a CLOSE friend in the Kurunegala district. Just days after the January 8 presidential election, The Sunday Island learnt how the drama unfolded at Dodangaslanda, a sleepy village at the far end of Kurunegala bordering the Matale district, but political sources politely declined to discuss details as the President himself had not referred to the episode earlier. During his recent visit to London, President Sirisena told BBC Sandeshaya’s Saroj Pathirana in an interview that he wouldn’t know whether he and family would be alive today if the elections favoured the other side. “That was the democracy the Rajapaksas practiced. I know that only too well, he said. On the day of the poll, Sirisena had cast his vote at Polonnaruwa and decided to leave home to a secret destination as there were credible reports that he and his family could be harmed if they remained in a location which could be easily traced after the outcome of the election was announced the following day (January 9), the sources recounted. As darkness fell, the convoy of vehicles cut across Dambulla and headed towards a coconut plantation at Dodangaslanda owned by Kiran Atapattu, a close friend of Sirisena. The village was asleep as the black BMW vehicle carrying the common candidate approached the estate, the sources said. Not leaving anything to chance, the vehicle snaked its way in pitch darkness along the narrow dark road leading to the sprawling plantation. The other vehicles in the convoy were halted at a point en route to prevent information of the exact location leaking out and also to ensure the villagers were not alerted, they recalled. Later, some other vehicles deemed “safe” sneaked up the estate road one by one and spread out to be parked under some coconut trees. Every possible precaution was taken to prevent word getting around, which, the sources explained, could have endangered the life of the common candidate and his family, if the worse came to the worst. “After dinner, Sirisena, accompanied by his wife Jayanthi Pushpa Kumari and children Daham, Chathurika and Dharani, son-in-law Thilina and grandchildren, relaxed as news of the vote count filtered through. Many were the calls that came through and some officials kept him abreast of the developments in Colombo, the sources said. There were many who asked him where he was, to which he replied “Polonnaruwa”. Concerned about him remaining in his North Central province home base, he was advised to move to a safer location as there were reports of a sudden build up of troops in Colombo, they noted. “The situation was becoming increasingly tense as reports of a possible coup attempt also did the rounds”. Sirisena was selective in answering telephone calls as many within the Mahinda Rajapaksa regime could not be trusted and giving away his hide-out would have been disastrous at that critical hour, the sources pointed out. “Some callers specifically wanted to know whether he was at home in Polonnaruwa. It was a long night and as news emerged that the common candidate was steadily making headway and victory was predicted, a jubilant Sirisena decided to leave for Colombo the following morning. An aide fixed a Sri Lankan national flag on the front of the BMW car as he prepared to depart, the sources said. The President-elect thanked Kiran Atapattu and his family for their courageous efforts and the bold resolve to offer him protection, despite the horrendous reprisals the move would have triggered if Sri Lanka’s voters had decided otherwise. Villagers of Dodangaslanda gaped as Sirisena’s car, with the Lion flag fluttering in the gentle breeze, cruised down the estate road after it became clear that President Mahinda Rajapaksa was on his way out, the sources elaborated. It was ironical that Sri Lanka’s incumbent Executive President had to remain under cover fearing for his life until the final outcome of an election in a country which was at one time described as a “five-star democracy”, they pointed out. President Sirisena also told the BBC Sandeshaya program that everybody now harps on democracy, but if he was defeated in the presidential poll, how many people would have been killed by now. “In addition, we know how many people would have had their limbs broken, how many would have been jailed and how many would have been thrown out of their jobs”. “If I lost the election, there was a plan to imprison my whole family and destroy us”, he asserte”

What a waste of public resources.

Sri Lankan state has no problem providing for politicians. In or out of office. Elected officials & cronies speed about on latest automobiles.

Meanwhile, stupid voters struggle everyday on horrible, stinking prublic transport. Often stuck at never eneding traffic jams forever.

Instead of working for the reconcliation, man s agendas sowed criminal seeds people to become divided and work on criminal agendas. This kind Ballige puthas are not worth to even keep in Prisons actually.

Shameless clown crying for perks. Did he provide security for Ex President and members of the Opposition, when there was genuine threats? NO.. WHY would he be given ANYTHING more than what he is supposed to be given? He did not follow protocol in treating an EX president, so what right does he have to ask for MORE? The Yahapalanaya should curtail his security and provide ONLY what he is entitled to. WHY 213 soldiers? is he the Sacred Tooth Relict? what the hell is going on?

He is wasting public money going places doing cheap things. DID ANY ex presidents seek the cheap publicity he is still seeking? The media should STOP giving him too much air time, he was given ENOUGH for more than 10 yrs. CLOWN I say…

They misused the public money, state resources and the unlimited power of the office of Presidentcy
and that is enough whi h cannot be continued Indefinitely. The securify prescribed by the Supreme court should be the maximum for vehicles and security men. We believe this security, vehicles etc are provided for the ex president and his wife and not necessarily for his adult children.

I will take issue with Rajitha for this excessive allocation of resources. He should be answerable to people of the country on whose authority he decided to provide such excessive allocation well beyond the allowable quota?
Does he not realize that he wasting invaluable public funds doing this?
I would demand that the current Government should immediately recall this excessive allocation!

I wonder what sort of security the people of Iraq and Libya were prepared to give to the traitors Saddam and Gaddafy if they lived through their final ordeal. Would they have been as generous as the Silly Lankans?

  • 1

It is the governments responsibility to keep him safe and I would have thought the SC would have taken this into account, in their stipulation.
What I can’t understand is why MR wants all this security?; who is he afraid of? He thinks the people of Sri Lanka LOVE him. So why is he demanding to have all this security.
Though he behaves like a strong man he must be VERY INSECURE inside himself; The saying “uding ope, yating hape” comes to mind.

  • 1
    0

So, why does MR need all this security? If we are to believe him, he was brought down by a foreign conspiracy and the minority Tamils and Muslims. What’s there to be so much frightened by them?

This is a farcical situation. MR should be provided with enough security that befits a former President but no more. If he feels so insecure despite that he can always get his own security, paid for out of his own pocket. I am sure he can well afford that.
