JVP Leader Anura Kumara Dissanayake launched a scathing attack on Leader of Opposition Mahinda Rajapaksa saying the latter was lying through his teeth from temples.

Speaking in Parliament today, Dissanayake said the former President was stoking fears of racism about the new constitution when there is not even a draft constitution.
“The Constitutional Council and the Steering Committee have thus far failed to write a draft constitution. We are still in the constituon-making process. To come to this point, the Steering Committee has held 83 meetings. We are yet to draft a final version of the constitution. We are yet to seek the approval of Provincial Councils. We still haven’t debated it in Parliament. The House is yet to approve it with a two-thirds majority. We are yet to place it before the public by way of a referendum. The President is yet to sign it. How long will this entire process take? Can the current parliament even think of completing this process?” Dissanayake asked in Parliament today.
“In this backdrop, Rajapaksa keeps saying that there will be a new constitution in April and all nine provinces will have separate police forces. He also says Sri Lanka will turn into a Federal state in a few months. Why is he propagating lies of this magnitude? Doesn’t he have any shame?” Dissanayake also asked.
“Rajapaksa thinks his only way out of the current rut is through racism. His constitutional coups have backfired. He has drawn severe criticism from the public for trying to grab power illegally. He is now fanning flames of racism.”
“I can understand why the minions around Rajapaksa are doing it. But, this is a person who held the presidency for 10 years. This is utter, unabashed greed for power. Rajapaksa should be ashamed of himself,” Dissanayake added.

Oh yeah, yeah, whenever Mahinda or Wimal talks about the country and exposes the threat to Sinhalese and the unitary state by way of the proposed Federal Constitution, it is racism.

If there should be a new constitution, it should solely be drafted by Sinhalese Buddhists who are 70.2% of the population.
Sinhalese should never forget the destruction brought to our motherland by Maithri + Ranil + Anura combination who are surely descendants of Vijaya Hora who have no roots here.
For the first time in 70 years, Sinhalese Buddhists will have an opportunity to choose a President of their choice without being subject to political manipulation. When choosing someone, they should only think about the country, Sinhalese race and Buddhism. Nothing else matters.
At the next general election, all UNP/JVP MPs should be defeated and all Sinhalese Buddhists should become racists and vote only Buddhists.

I think the JVP can win more seats and become popular if it continues its evolution and takes a clean break from its past violence and sometimes anti-Tamil stands.. For that, my suggestions–
1. More new faces who weren’t part of the old JVP.
2. Continue clear denunciation of racism and speak about injustices against everyone from all corners of the country.
3. Change the party name, say simply dropping the ‘Vimukthi’ in its name and calling itself JP, or some other name.
4. Adopt a clear, consistent and fair policy on Tamil grievances.
5. Re-merge with the splinter faction of the JVP ( FSV?) but don’t stay in the ultra-leftist spectrum.
If that happens, they could become strong even in parts of the N-E where leftists sometimes became MP’s before the 1970’s. The old leftists have sullied themselves by aligning with the Rajapaksas, and so, only a revitalized JVP can be a viable leftist alternative for the country.

Definitely the way to leap into the future for a fair and prosperous Sri Lanka. Peace will always follow a righteous society because they have lot to loose due violence.

1. 9 councils
-1. Give more economic decision making power to the councils.
-2. There cannot be any alliances between the councils at at any given time.
2. Create a healthy competition between the councils.
3. Publish the achievements made by each council every year for everyone to see.
4. Keep the 3 forces under the president and the Police under the parliament.
5. The legislation of all councils should be the same irrespective of the circumstances.
6. Each and every business has to only pay taxes to the central government’s tax office.
7. Other fees and yearly rates will be the earnings of the provincial council.
8. The judiciary system of all the councils will be the same and will only be changed with a 2/3 Majority vote in the parliament, after followed by a majority vote of a referendum where the referendum will be prepared by the supreme court.
9. Any time there’s a breach of law, the president should have the power to take control of the specific council and hand over to the parliament, until the supreme court’s decision is given.
10. Education-
-1. The national schools need to be able to teach only in English. National schools will be only managed by the parliament.
-2. Provincial schools will be only managed by the provincial council, there will be policing only done by the parliament.
-3. No schools managed by the public money will teach religion and history.
-4. The religious schools will be able to function as a cemi-government school under the policing of the education department.
-5. The rest of the schools will be just another profit seeking business. Those schools will have no support from the public money.
-6. University and technical schools will be only managed by the parliament.
11. Justice system.
1. Will only be financed by the provincial councils, but they will only be managed by the judicial services commission.
2. Council must provide the funds, but the amount will be decided by the parliament.
12. Hospitals
-1. The provincial councils will manage all the hospitals and finance them.
-2. There will be 9 major hospitals, one to each council, that will be only managed by the parliament.
-3. All hospitals and medical systems will be policed by the parliament.
