MR Says He Could Have Ruined Sajith Premadasa’s Politics

Former President Mahinda Rajapaksa today said that when Sajith Premadasa’s sister, Dulanjali Premadasa was caught red handed with a large number of forged currency notes inside a bank, his government had never interfered in the investigation.

Sajith and MR clombotelegraphRajapaksa said that he could have remanded her and blown up the issue and put an end to her brother’s political career.

He said unlike the new government he never interfered in legal issues and had let the officials do their job.

Rajapaksa said while Dulanjalee had escaped Scott free after possessing a bundle of fake notes, a soldier who was caught with a single fake currency note at the time had gone to jail.

Rajapaksa said that one of his mistakes when in power had been that he was too tolerant and forgiving even to his political opponents.

Rajapaksa went on to say that however, those whom he protected today were attacking him mercilessly calling him a thief.

Dulanjalee Jayakody, daughter of former President R. Premadasa and sister of Minister Sajith Premadasa got caught when trying to deposit counterfeit notes worth Rs 2 million at the HSBC branch in Cinnamon Gardens some time back.

Dulanjali was informed by the bank that the entire amount of cash was fake.

Dulanjali had later informed that the currency was given to her by another person and she had come to deposit it without knowing they were fake. Later the Police had arrested the person who was identified by Dulanjali as the person who had given her the bundle of notes.

only folks like Athal Sumane, Dayan J, Thadi Priyantha, Rajiva W need to back MARa who is in his last few days or dreaming a political career.

I tend to agree with the Mafia king here , both Mahinda and Sajith are extremely dangerous people , both has colourful resumes second to none.
when Mafia king was the king in SL Sajith never bothered to utter a single word against him , when asked , he simply said ,” that is my style of politics” ,but after 8 th of jan , Sajith has turned around 180 degrees , food for thought !

“when Mafia king was the king in SL Sajith never bothered to utter a single word against him ,”

Probably he was sitting on the fence, biting time to join the victors.

Dayan did try a few times to nudge him out of UNP. In a number of article Dayan entertain the idea of making him the prime minister under MR/SLFP government.

We will never know the kind of backroom deals these crooks make among themselves, behind the back of the voters.

The very fact that MR did NOT encourage the implementation of justice on ALL wrong-doings is why he, his family, the party and the people are in such a tight spot. Whoever forms the government, the best advise: do not interfere with the rule of law.

          Yours is unnecessary attributes.

Mahinda is honest. He is up beat about it. He did not use his presidential powers to discredit Sajith. He is only electioneering on the issue.

Try to understand the my Mahinda before making damning statement about him.

I am not making a “damning” statement. All I am saying is that no head of state should stand in the way of justice. We have seen this too often in this country and the VOTERS and all LEADERS must understand this.

Kumaran is exactly right. No Presidential powers could interfere with the judiciary. In a proper democracy it is called Segregation of Powers but apparently you are too deluded to understand that. I fell off the chair laughing when you said “Mahinda is honest”. You cannot be that thick. Simply ask yourself, how did the Rajapakses accumulate the fortune that had enabled them to buy mansions in USA and Sri Lanka?

When the judiciary wants to align with the executive what can Mahinda do.

Former Chief Justice aligned with Mahinda when he was in office and even now in the general election.

How can you blame Mahinda for this. In retirement too Sarath De Silva wants to have is say.

Look at Justice Vigneswaran. He is now a legislative leader.

You too are living in the cocoons nest.

MR Says He Could Have Ruined Sajith Premadasa’s Politics

      Mahinda Rajapaksa is self destructing.

His shills white-washers and cronies are sending him up a Murunga Tree and he is falling off repeatedly.

He is showing his stupidity more and more.

What can one expect from one who believes in astrologers?

Is he qualified to a Prime Minister or even an MP now?

Don’t forget the blatant theft of public property in the form of the painting from The Presidents house by his brother-in-law Rohan Jayakody by the name of ‘The Temple at Mulkirigala’. This was then sold in London for a huge amount after being smuggled there.

Again he got way thanks the Chandrika – there is no limit to their greed

As the head of the state what you did was political interference for each and every institute be it may Police, Judiciary, etc… and etc… That was the reason why we need to change your regime. These types of comments simply confirm your mis-deeds, nothing else.

  • 33
    3

To utter this sort of comments only helps expose him. The problem N Silve and MR have when they say I let him go off hook or let her go Scott free, what is there for the today voters to digest from message these imbeciles put out. Tomorrow will not be the same if these type have managed to get to the top. The irony is they didn’t even know what they did or didn’t were wrong, such was the kick of infuse that the absolute authority creates in these kind of people. Do we want them? Will see in few days. Dulanjali acquitted by the investigator who didn’t have any political interference meant she was an innocent. I don’t think she would be that stupid to go to the bank with stashes of note worth 2m and deposit in her account. MR’s regret now seems to be that he could not made up a strong case for her.-that is understandable. But when he say he didn’t harass his political opponent when was in power, he seems to be right there too, he didn’t waste time with them other than passing these cases to Gota to handle with a few white van trips. Only exception has been Sarath Fonseka.

You can tell them to everyone with an IQ below 50!

  • 31
    3

Don’t worry. You are being looked after by those whom you helped during those years of your regime. That is why some of the simple “Inquiries” and “Investigations” are not handled expeditiously. Take for instance the “Inquiry” in relation to Sri Lankanair where your own Brother-in-Law and the CEO Kapila Chandrasena is not taken up at all. Then use of the Air Force helicopter rides you, your family and cronies undertook during your election campaign and the cost to the tax payers are not matters even looked at. Your wife’s involvement in “Siriliya” NGO, excepting for a statement recorded at a special “Palace” arranged by this Government is a forgotten matter. The “white van” brigade is not a matter looked into that seriously, because your siblings are involved. Your own son being appointed without the requisite entry qualifications to the Navy is completely shelved in the archives. The list goes on and on….

So Mr. MR the favor you extended to Sajith’s sister and Sajith himself has been overwhelmingly REWARDED. Now that they are in power, they could have ruined you to the ground. Did they or will they do it. NO. So please keep your mouth shut and be happy with what you have been given.

“Rajapaksa said while Dulanjali had escaped Scott free after possessing a bundle of fake notes, a soldier who was caught with a single fake currency note at the time, had gone to jail…” There are thousands of cases like this. For a long time there has been two strands of justice here – one for the rich-influential and the other for the nondescripts. When will we ever see the times the law applies to all – equally. When those army men massacred Mujib-ur-Rahman and his family one of them made pointed reference to this.

Or was Mahinda R repaying a debt when that the late Premadasa did to him when Rajapakse was charged with indisputable murder in the 1980s?

OMG!! The man who ruled us for 10 years says he was a nincompoop (https://en.m.wiktionary.org/wiki/nincompoop) (for others it means. … (foolish person, dunderhead, fop, fool, imbecile, fuckwit). I like Wiktionary’s last synonym best!!!
This bug…r has F…D us in and out and says ‘what a fool I was not to catch them’!!! As the head of state it was not for him to turn a blind eye but ensure that justice prevailed! If he did not interfere and justice prevailed they are innocent!!! But actually what happened was he blackmailed Dulanjali and possibly Sajith to drop charges. The police would have gone through the prosecution if he did not interfere!!! The time Sajith was waxing and waning with the other crooks Tiran and Killi may have been the result! However if Dulanjali was the crook still Sajith is innocent, unless the money was printed in Sajith ‘ s press!!! Then let’s look at another similar incident of looted gold from N E attempt to sell by a former cricketers wife by proxy on behalf another politician’s wife??? What happened to the investigating officer (Although not an innocent kitten himself) who probably did not know the actual culprit when he investigated it!!
Did he (MR) forgive the ladies involved through his ultimate Buddhist principles?? Did he forgive the police officer involved of another case of murder??

This leads to an acid test for YAHAPALANAYA! Ranil and MY3 duo, unfortunately you don’tread this CT BS stuff! In reality Yahapalanaya means you will not be biased! There should be completion of the investigation of 1. Dulanjali and the fake notes, 2. Stolen gold and the completion of that investigation and culprits brought to justice, 3. The murder of a Muslim businessman allegedly by the investigating officer and completion of that case!!! However, Sajith remains innocent unless a connection other than “blood” is revealed!!!!!

Ah’ that reminds me of the stolen painting from Temple Trees, that ended at London Auctions and also the ebony furniture that was replaced by the same crowd! OMG! Digging graves is also important (as the Thajudeen case) for YAHAPALANAYA unless you start digging your own graves! I wonder who forgave them???
    CHECKMATE! !!

    Quantitative Easing at its best…

Why the hell Batalanada Ranil forced his Elite, Anglican and even Vellala supporters in Colombo to pay that extra 3 % as commission to Dr Mahendran’s SIL on top of the 10 % which they have to pay the Bank Of Ceylon Bond Holders…

For thirty long years mind you.

When Keselwatta Kid would have done it at no cost , not only to the UNP backers.

But also for the Dalits’ kids who may graduate to Elite class under Yahapalanaya..

Who would have put your Hero’s’ all 400 commanders in Purddithihikruppu so that the SLA could wipe them out in one hit.

How come such a powerful figure could disappear without a trace when Piraparan waa displayed right around the World.

Now don’t tell me Manmohan from Hindustan took him away to help Rajapaksa.

Hey batalanda modeya why don’t you go stick a bataya up you your know what. What a sad pathetic person you are. You have two topics to go on blathering about. Both are equally irrelevant nonsense. There are no more elite Anglican families left in Sri Lanka anymore. They either declined in wealth or left the country taking what ever they had left with them. Your hatred for these once great families is an eye opener for the hatred you hold against fellow Sri lankans who have done nothing to deserve your venom. People like you must be cursed off this planet to a special hell from where you can suffer endlessly for your sins.

MR is muttering BS now. He exposes his dirty tricks. ‘He could have blown up the issues and put an end to her brother’s political career’.

Why would brother pays for sister’s mistakes? They are two individuals before the court. If Dulanjali has done unlawful thing, law applies to her, not for her brother.

Appochchi shouldn’t have done this to a fallow Sinhala Buddhist who aspires to take the UNP Leadership from the Anglican ,Vellala and Wahabi faction.

It was only yesterday that Keselwatta Kid addressed the loyal Elite in the bush in Hambantota District. with the Christian Faction Boss and PM Batalanada Ranil by his side.

And KK promised the audience that he will be the King after Batalanada Ranil retires ,,( Didn’t mention whether Hurt or Old Age ).

Now what is going to happen to his chance of getting the plum, after this horrible allegation of counterfeiting crime.

I mean if they tried to slip in one or two LKRs in each bundle, it could have been sort of excusable as an oversight.

But all 12 Million in brand new Laser copies is unbelievable.

And give them to the Bank is even more amusing

Poor Senior who fought hard to stick it up to the Elite and the Anglicans to get the plum job would have been disappointed with his off springs report cards.

Poor Prema even sent the missus to play Tennis with the Poodle Club Ladies in Kurunduwatta.

Prema wanted to be part of the Elite in Colombo.

But Batalanada Ranil who was around when Prema got blasted ,had other ideas.

He sent the Junior straight to Hambanatota.

Prema senior even sent KK to UK, not only to study but to also learn a few tricks on how to act Elite and Anglican.

Now KK is playing the Violin and delivering Bull Shit to poor Samurdhi Recipients in Hambantota, after giving them a few bucks as santhosams.

    How sad.

The Monks in the villages should however check the notes in those bundles carefully , just in case.

Because even possession of counterfeits is punishable under Westminster System.

    Dear Mahinda Rajapakse,

I would like to remind you what the former Chief Justice Sarath N Silva publicly said about how you were protected by him for going to jail for four times. One day, the former Chief Justice Mohan Peries might tell , how he protected you during a decade.

It is nothing new to Srilanka that criminals, murderers, drug dealers & underworld thugs were proected & covered by the law & order & justice system and political system.

  • 1

This illustrates , not surprisingly , the culture of impunity that prevails in our country . Be it politicians or anyone with influence for that matter, will somehow or another, try and wriggle out of wrong doing. And you know why ?. Because they just had the right connections.
For example , a person I know, in our neighborhood drove his car recklessly, one night killing a pedestrian in the process , but somehow managed to get away with it , simply by pulling the right strings and forking out a few lakhs to the victim’s family !
Just look at our jails . they are mostly filled with poor people!
Our entire system is corrupt !
