Muslim Ministers Deny And Condemn ‘Sri Lankan Islamic Terrorism’ Claim

Grave concerns have been raised over the promotion of unfounded claims concerning Islamic terrorist groups operating on Sri Lankan soil, by five Muslim Ministers through a joint statement issued last night.

AHM Fowzie

AHM Fowzie

The statement that has been signed by five government Ministers including Rauff Hakeem, A. H. M. Fowzie, Rishad Bathiudeen, Basheer Segu Dawood and A L M Athaullah, it has been pointed out that the promotion of such baseless claims is like ‘rubbing salt to a wound’ in the wake of the recent anti-Muslim clashes from which the Muslim community is systematically recovering presently.

The Ministers who have denied and condemned such claims have stated that they are actions of groups with vested interests that wish to see a reemergence of terrorism in Sri Lanka.

They had also stated that it is unfair for the recent arrest of an individual in India under charges of espionage, to be attributed to claims of Islamic extremism raising its head in Sri Lanka.

“We deeply deplore that the recent arrest in India under espionage charges should lend itself to such spurious claims by sections of media and groups,” they have asserted adding that it has led to the further stereotyping of Muslims that operates with a clear mind set of condoning or supporting violence by racist groups.

Furthermore the statement has called upon the national authorities of Sri Lanka to uphold the rule of law without allowing the Muslim community to be demonized as a whole.

Reports of emerging Islamic extremist groups have been publicized recently by several local media outlets in Sri Lanka including the Ceylon Today which was reported by Colombo Telegraph.

      Dear AHM Fowzie et al.

“Grave concerns have been raised over the promotion of unfounded claims concerning Islamic terrorist groups operating on Sri Lankan soil, by five Muslim Ministers through a joint statement issued last night.”

      Remember the Following.

      1. The Para-Sinhala Buddhists are Liars,

      2. The Sinhala Buddhist politicians lie, the monks-lie and their shills lie. The police lies, the JMO lies, the para-Sinhala newspapers lie.

      3. Challenges their lies. They need to come up with 100 or more lies to cover up the truth, and even that is not enough

      4. The lying stated with the Para-monk Mahanama lies and imaginations.

      5. The Para-Sinhalese Buddhism and state sponsorship is now exposed. They are trying to white wash their crimes and terrorism, Expose 100 years of Sinhala Buddhist terrorism.

Here are some of the lies and imaginations followed by Para-Sinhala Buddhists, in the Land of Native Veddah,

Instead of constantly whining about the lies told by BBS with Gota the Goon’s protection, these cowardly Musalman Ministers should resign form the dirty Rajapaksa regime, and stop supporting the corrupt and rotten Mahinda Rajapaksa quasi-military dictatorship.

Also, Buddhism is being destroyed and distorted, militarized and politicized to save the Rajapaksa brothers from a war crimes trial. The Ravaya Bala Sinhala Buddhist Modayas and BBS are an INSULT TO WHAT THE BUDDHA TAUGHT.

Sinhala Buddhism is a disgrace and laughing stock the world over today. SHUDDER!

      paul,

Tell your government to ban Pakistan Visas. Why your defense secretary and the government keep close relation with ISI? Why are you blaming Muslims for your error.

The terrorist organizations (in your language) created by CIA in Pakistan and Afghanistan and it is an open truth. The person who gave statements here are the worlds biggest terrorist. Most of the south indian conflict created by Indian RAW and CIA. Good example in Sri Lankan LTTE.

The world terrorism started by ZIONIST in late 1920’s in Europe, even the suicide bombing was invented by them and the first suicide attack was carried out by zionist in london christmas hotel late 1920 and around 90 peoples died. But the Europe was manage to wiped out zionism from there. But now they are funding all over the world for their terrorism activities in different norms. In India RSS behind of most of the terrorist activities and Indian CBI has issued several statements on that. In Sri Lanka before LTTE and now BBS. Most of the media is under their feet, so they can fabricate any stories to fool the world.

Taliban, Al-qaida etc were created and funding and supported by CIA.

So, Sri Lankan government should stop all relation with ISI if they fear of terrorism in Sri lanka by them insist of blaming innocent Muslims.

The Ministers words are to be welcomed, but the allegations came from India and the Interpol. They have to be taken seriously, and Sri Lankan authorities must keep their eyes peeled. The fact that the ME events are reflected within our shores have been evident for some time. Therefore one cannot demonise all Muslims of such events, but the police must be instructed to ACT without delay when and where inter-Muslims violence occurs.

This can be easily proved or disproved. With all the lies against the Muslims being deliberately spread, no one should take this seriously. It may be yet another ploy to turn the Sinhalese against the Muslims.
Sri Lanka is not important in the world as we may think. Most of the extremists groups operate far more easily in Islamic countries. They cannot hide very easily in Sri Lanka.

“Muslim Ministers Deny And Condemn ‘Sri Lankan Islamic Terrorism’ Claim”

Another opportunity for them to consolidate their own positions within the govt. Cry ‘Bogeyman” and divert attention from the mayhem and racial attacks by the BBS and Gandhasara thugs against the innocent Muslim populace. That way, they can also justify their own silence on the racial situation all these days. Where were their voices (except Hakeem and Bathdeen to some extent) when the Alutgama murders took place? Now, they creep out of the woodwork like worms. Soon they’ll be saying “I told you so, the fault lies within ourselves;Because of our Halal and Abhaya and because of our that and our this”. Just wait, more Muslim rouges like Paisa Must Appah, Gandha AssWer and Kalavi Moulana will also soon follow suit, blaming the muslim community for all the carnage unleashed on them during the last month. Even in Myanmar the carnage against the Rohingya Muslims was blamed by the Nobel prize(Hic) winning Aung San Suchee not on the mad monk Viragi, but on “the perceived threats” by the Myanmar Buddhists of the minority muslim community there. For that alone she deserves the next award of the Nobel peace Prize also. Anyway, our Muslim ministers here have had a wonderful and timely opportunity come their way now in the form of Muslim terrorism. More perks and more tamashas for them by being part of a govt that sponsors state terrorism against its Muslim minorities. To hell with the community. All they are interested in is their own benefits.

They first branded Tamils as terrorists, and
now they have begun to brand Muslims as terrorists.

Nobody dare brand Sinhala Buddhists who carried out pogroms since 1958, and genocide in the war as terrorists.

It is all in the interest of Geo-politics and hegemony, I suppose.

Dr. Ameer Ali, a prominent Islamic scholar and a former adviser of Muslim Affairs of Australian Prime Minister, John Howard’s Government, said Muslims in Sri Lanka are self-alienating themselves from the mainstream community. He is an academic at the Faculty of Management and Governance of Murdoch University. He spoke to Ranga Jayasuriya on the issues confronting the Muslim community in Sri Lanka.

    Excerpts:
    Q:

What is your take on the recent anti-Muslim propaganda? The general, rather liberal interpretation is that a peaceful Muslim minority has come under the threat of hegemonic Sinhala Buddhist nationalism. But, isn’t that a bit too simplistic?

A: There is the revival of religion all over the world. There is the rise of the Christian right in the Bible belt of America, which wields a strong influence on the American legislature. There is the revival of Islam in the Middle East. Hinduism is on the rise in India. We also see the revival of Buddhism in Sri Lanka. Therefore, this is not a unique phenomenon. Religion is coming back after one hundred years of rationalism, during which we thought religion had been forced backstage. We believed that everybody would be happy in a materialistic society. And subsequently, there was the rise of Marxism, which had been dominant in some parts of the world in the past 75 years. But, since the collapse of the Soviet Bloc, religion has made a comeback as a strong force in some of those countries, for instance, in Poland. And even under communism, sects such as the Falun Gong in China are increasingly active below the radar. Therefore, this is a worldwide trend. The emptiness in the people’s minds has been filled by religion. In the same line of events, I see the revival of Buddhism in Sri Lanka.

    Q:
However, the revival has led to confrontation between Buddhism and other religions as we see at present.
A: We had more than one millennium of harmony among Muslims, Buddhists and Hindus, until 1915. People accepted each other’s culture. Islam is part of that cultural mosaic. Even when the Muslims were chased out by the Portuguese, they were accepted by the Kandyan Kingdom. Of course, there was disturbance in 1915, caused by divisions cultivated by colonialism. But, those differences were resolved soon, and a number of Muslims were among the vocal campaigners for independence from Great Britain, and Muslims were part of Sinhalese- dominated governments since independence.

However, since the 1970s, there has been the development of orthodox Islam, which is something new to this country. And this orthodox brand of Islam is the result of the economic opportunities created in the Middle East. Muslims who went there for job opportunities came back with a different mindset, influenced by the religious perception of the Saudis and other neighbouring countries. Unfortunately, this resulted in Muslims in this country isolating themselves from the mainstream society, in terms of their dress, their values and their practices.

    Q:
Not only self alienation, this prompts confrontation between communities and their values, don’t you think?

A: Many issues have come up due to the new brand of imported Islam. Things that had been accepted for so long have now been questioned. The Muslim community in this country has to decide whether they want to be Muslims of Sri Lanka or Muslims in Sri Lanka. I feel that they are isolating themselves. This self alienation is new. It is time for Muslims to engage in self introspection. The vast majority of Buddhists are not fanatics. I was born in this country, lived in this country and most of my friends are Sinhalese. The vast majority of Sinhalese are not racists. Of course, there is a minority, who is very vocal and is trying to grab attention. But, the majority Sinhalese will very soon realize that these groups are taking the country in the wrong direction.
As far as the Muslims concerned, they have to sit back and take stock, and decide where they have gone wrong.

    Q:
    Where have they gone wrong?

A: I can pin-point several developments. There are separate Buddhist schools, Tamil schools and Muslim Schools – fair enough. But, Muslim schools are operating on a different calendar. I cannot see any country other than Sri Lanka where they close schools during the fasting month. This is a privilege the Muslims gained in 1950, because Sir Razik Fareed, who was a leader, an activist, but not an educationist, asked for this concession, and the then government consented. At that time, the Muslims thought that it was a good thing that they could fast without other obligations. But, in the current race for economic opportunities, when the Muslim schools are closed, other schools are operating. When others are closed, Muslim schools are operating.

Understandably enough, the government will arrange things like refresher courses and training courses when the majority of the teachers are on holiday, but when the majority of schools are closed, Muslim schools are operating. The Muslim community is losing due to this arrangement. It is time for the Muslim community to decide whether they should continue with this arrangement.

The Muslims say they have a long history and they have contributed a lot. That is history. The Tamils, and Sinhalese and Christians want to see it happening. How are the Muslims behaving? Are they intermingling with others?
Take one example; the Kandy Perehara. Of course, it originated as a religious event, but now it is more than that; it is a national festival. It is an occasion that attracts millions of tourists and television viewers. There are Havadies by the Hindus, Merlm by the Hindus. Where are our Muslim brothers? What are they doing?
Also, on Independence Day, why cannot we hoist the national flag in front of our mosques and schools and other institutions? These simple things can send a positive message to the wider community.

    Q:
However, there is a recent effort by some segments of Muslims to highlight their differences with other communities. Not so much to do with historical similarities. Have you observed that?

A: I have one observation. When I went to the Eastern Province, in Kattankudy, they have planted date palms to decorate the roadside. My question was, as to what is the connection between date palms and Kattankudy or date palms and Sri Lanka. Why do you spend millions of rupees to make it look like Arabia? I could see that already half of the trees had died. I told the Muslims to go to Tissamaharama and see what has been planted there: Tamarind trees, which are shady and bearing fruit. Are we living in this country or are we living in Arabia?
Take cattle slaugher. It is not the halal issue. halal is a trillion dollar industry in the world. See the way the cows are being slaughtered. I have seen the way cows are dragged into the slaughter house. How can people tolerate such a practice? These are things we have to sit back and take stock on.
Take another example: The black dress that is covering the whole female body, except the eyes, which is alien to Sri Lanka. This attire has nothing to do with Islam, whereas it is misconstruing Islam. It is confrontational. I can see Muslims are voluntarily alienating themselves.

    Q:
You referred to self alienation by the Muslims. Did it begin with the arrival of the austere brand of Islam, Wahhabism, from the Middle East?

A: This is only one brand of Islam. Those are people who believe what the Saudis are doing is the purest form of Islam. But take Indonesia, where the majority of Muslims follow a different brand of Islam.

    Q:
Wahhabism and the rising Islamic militant rhetoric in the East, in places in Kattankudy are allegedly financed by Middle Eastern funding. Have you seen any evidence in this regard?

A: There are no statistics on the funds that come from Saudi Arabia. I don’t think they are institutionally funding wahhabism. But a lot of private funds are coming in. There are 58 mosques in Kattankudy. I went to one of the mosques to pray and there were not even 20 people. The whole mosque was empty. Why do you need to build more mosques when even the existing mosques are empty? What happens is that those who returned from the Middle East as preachers, want to build mosques. A fair amount of land is occupied by mosques. I don’t think there is radicalization. But, there is influence exerted by the funders, the Saudis, which is natural.

    Q:
But the brand of Islam that is imported from Saudi Arabia is intolerant in its teachings.

A: Exactly. It is increasingly becoming intolerant of others. In the history of Islam, it has been very tolerant. In Moghul India, the palace of Akbar was full of non-Muslims. This new brand is a misrepresentation of Islam and its scriptures.

    Q:
Do you see a conflict between the moderate Islam and its ultra conservative brand?

A: I have not seen that in Sri Lanka, but there is a clash between liberal Islam and orthodox conservative Islam in other countries.
In the world arena, there are three poles of contention. There are Saudis with their intolerant Islam; there are Turks with a very tolerant outlook of Islam, and there are Iranians with their Shia Islam. There is a confrontation among these three forces for the hegemony of Islam.

    Q:
You are asking the Muslim community to take stock and address concerns. What are the key issues, in your mind that needs to be addressed?
A: The Muslims are suffering from an image problem, which they need to address. No one in this country says don’t practice Islam. But, the current image of Islam is confrontational. This dress (burka) is confronting. Muslim Women in the 70s wore saris. It is the misreading of Islamic scriptures that has led to the current situation. We are just isolating ourselves. That can easily be done by providing leadership.

    Q:
Do you think banning the burka would be an appropriate action? France did that and the BBS in Sri Lanka is demanding for a ban on the burka.

A: You cannot solve the problem by banning it. We had the same problem in Australia. The government wanted to ban. I told them: “Look, it is counterproductive. People would react much worse.
Extremism should be countered through education, which should be done by Muslims themselves.
I have not heard any mosque in Sri Lanka or anywhere in the world opposing the burka

Bebon, your reference subject ‘Dr. Ameer Ali, a prominent Islamic scholar and a former adviser of Muslim Affairs of Australian Prime Minister, John Howard’s Government’, to most of us, says a lot about his mind set and understanding of true Islam.

His previous opinions and so called ‘scholarly’ statements are deemed quite controversial by many, since it is not based on the Prophet’s teachings as recorded in Hadiths, nor on God’s commands as revealed in the Holy Quran, but simply on what is most practical in this day and age, which is of course quite acceptable to any ‘modern day’ Australian government. He rambles on and on what he perceives should be done and/or not done, in order to appease the majority masses which has no relevance to any teachings of Islam. Those are just his sentiments and opinions.

I even doubt his Islamic Scholarly status, as being anywhere close to our local Ulamas, Mufthis and Hafees who put in between 4 to 6 years of their lives to just to understand and study the subject in its purity, and then subsequently teach it to laymen, once they pass out.

Can you check with local Ulamas, Mufthis and Hafees, and for that msatter globally, Amarasiris’s Hypothesis that Wahhabi ( Salafi, Tauhidi, Deobandi, Taliban) are NOT Muslims, but follow the Devil, Shaitan, Satan who originated fro Najad?

A number of authors have claimed that the hadith refers to Muhammad ibn Abd al-Wahhab, the patronym of the Wahhabi movement. It is accounted that the origin of Muhammad ibn Abd al-Wahhab is from the modern day Najd region of Saudi Arabia, Read Below.

        Hadith of Najd

        http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hadith_of_Najd

The Hadith of Najd is a famous hadith with several chains of narration about three geographical locations. While all Sunni Muslims accept the group of hadith as authentic, the exact location of the area referred to as “Najd” is disputed.

        Text of the hadith

According to two narrations in Sahih Bukhari, Muhammad asks Allah to bless the areas of Bilad al-Sham (Syria) and Yemen. When his companions said “Our Najd as well,” he replied: “There will appear earthquakes and afflictions, and from there will come out the side of the head (e.g. horns) of Satan.”[1][2] In a similar narration, Muhammad again asked Allah to bless the areas Medina, Mecca, Sham, and Yemen and, when asked specifically to bless Najd, repeated similar comments about there being earthquakes, trials, tribulations, and the horns of Satan.[3][4]

“O Allaah bestow your blessings on our Shaam. O Allaah bestow your blessings on our Yemen.” The people said, “O Messenger of Allaah, and our Najd.” I think the third time the Prophet, sallallaahu alayhi wa sallam, said, “There (in Najd) will occur earthquakes, trials and tribulations, and from there appears the Horn of Satan.”

It has been asserted that this hadith is relating the coming events that shook the Muslim nation, these known as fitnah or ‘trials’. Amongst the trials that arose in Iraq and the east was the martyrdom of Hussein ibn Ali, the grandson of Muhammad, as well as the first battle between the Muslims that also occurred in Iraq. This as well as the tribulations that came along with the multitude of sects that formed in the east, specifically Iraq and Baghdad, being the Qadariyyah, the Jahmiyyah (from Jahm bin Safwan), the spread of the Mu’tazila, and the advent of the emergence of the Shia in opposition to the Sunni Muslims.[5] It has also been identified as where the Dajjal or Antichrist is said to emerge from (according to a narration through Imam Nawawi). There have also been various conspiracy theories instigated against the people of the modern day region of Saudi Arabia known as ‘Najd'[6] however historically and geographically there is no substantial proof to support these arguments [7] as well as the suggested argument contrasting with a number of sound hadith when objectively studied.[8]

        Location of Najd

The apparent meaning of ‘najd’ indicates a raised area, it is regarded that there are up to 13 various locations in the region regarded as ‘najd’.[9] Various misconceptions have arisen with regard to the ‘hadith of Najd’ due to the modern day named area of Najd in Saudi Arabia. Historically the location has been accounted as being between the borders of Iraq and modern day Saudi Arabia. This is in accordance to “Najd Qarnu ash-Shaytaan” the definition of Najd depends on one’s own location, and from Madina, Najd would be Iraq. The area is indicated by various scholars of hadith as to be in accordance with this.

        Ibn Hajar al-Asqalani said after quoting the words of al-Khattaabee explaining the meaning of Qarn (horn) ;

“and others have said that the People of the East were disbelievers at that time and the Messenger of Allaah, sallallaahu alayhi wa sallam, informed us that the trials and tribulations would arise from that direction and it was as he said. And the first of the trials that arose, arose from the direction of the east and they were the reason for the splitting of the Muslim ranks, and this is what Satan loves and delights in. Likewise the innovations appeared from that direction.” [10]
Ibn Hajr quoted al-Khattabi as saying:

“The najd is in the direction of the east, and for the one who is in Madeenah then his Najd would be the desert of Iraaq and it’s regions for this is to the east of the People of Madeenah. The basic meaning of Najd is that which is raised/elevated from the earth in contravention to al-Gawr for that is what is lower than it. Tihaamah [the coastal plain along the south-western and southern shores of the Arabian Peninsula] is entirely al-Gawr and Mecca is in Tihaamah.'[…] by this [saying of al-Khattaabee] the weakness of the saying of ad-Daawodee is understood that ‘Najd is in the direction of Iraq’ [min Nahiya al-Iraq] for he suggests that Najd is a specific place. This is not the case, rather everything that is elevated with respect to what adjoins it is called Najd and the lower area called Gawr.”[11]
        The celebrated 12th century historian Ali ibn al-Athir, who had frequently traveled to Iraq during the era of Saladin and had written his monumental work al-Kamil fi at-Tarikh (The Complete History), writes in his work ‘al-Nihâyah’ ;

“Najd is the highland region. This name is given to area beyond the Hijâz towards Iraq.”[12]
It is also related that Imam Nawawi in his Sharh Saheeh Muslim 2/29 stated that this hadith had to with the Dajjal or Antichrist coming from the East.[13]

        Contemporary theories

A number of authors have claimed that the hadith refers to Muhammad ibn Abd al-Wahhab, the patronym of the Wahhabi movement. It is accounted that the origin of Muhammad ibn Abd al-Wahhab is from the modern day Najd region of Saudi Arabia,[14] which happens to be the only surviving region that carried on the title of ‘Najd’ after the geographical codification regardless that there were several distinct locations known previously as ‘Najd’. This theory is generally supported by adherents to other various sects in Sunni Islam that have disdain for Wahhabism.[15] This is often speculated to be due to the revival of prophetic traditions, strictly clinging to hadith and negating what was seen at the time to be bid‘ah or ‘heretical innovations’, instigated by Ibn Abd al-Wahhab and later carried on by his followers.[16] as well as Twelver Shi’ism.[17] Contrary to the accusations there are numerical hadith that discredit this argument due to praise of the ethnic tribe of Muhammad ibn Abd al-Wahhab, being the Bani Tameem tribe, and praise for the region of what is now known as Najd and its peoples. Through anthropological records it is accounted that the Bani Tamim are the majority of people inhabiting the land of modern day ‘Najd’ in present day Saudi Arabia.

Also related in hadith #2543 and #4366 of Ibn Hajar’s Fath:

“I have loved the people of the tribe of Banu Tamim, ever since I heard three things the Messenger of Allaah , sallallaahu alayhi wa sallam, said about them. I heard him saying, ‘these people (of the tribe of Banu Tamim) would stand firm against the Dajjaal.’ When the Saddaqat from that tribe came, the Messenger of Allaah , sallallaahu alayhi wa sallam, said, “these are the Saddaqat (charitable gifts) of our folk.” Aa’ishah had a slave girl from that tribe, and the Prophet, sallallaahu alayhi wa sallam, said to Aa’ishah, ‘manumit her as she is a descendant of Ismaa’eel, alayhis salaam.”[18]
Also from the Musnad of Ahmad ibn Hanbal:

“Do not say of Banu Tamim anything but good, for indeed they are the severest of people in attacking the Dajjaal.”[19]

All of Muslims Minister are now taking national intelligence service on their hands.. How come a bunch of lunatic minister confirm that no such groups in Sri Lanka….?? How they came to a such conclusion, have they asked any intelligence services to conduct proper intelligence gatherings????

    This is another joke

This is very funny if some one ask from TNA member that “have you ever consider LTTE as terror group”?

Hmmm.. know your facts. Lunatics like you are the ones I’m referring to in my previous comment who will drag our future generations into a hell hole again.

“The Indian intelligence agencies have told me that there is a possibility of Islamic Terrorism being based in Sri Lanka to act against India. However, we investigated these concerns and found that there is no merit in these concerns or claims. Our intelligence agencies are very active on these issues.” – Secretary to the Ministry of Defence Gotabaya Rajapaksa (1 July 2014)

No evidence so far and no motive what so ever for Sri Lankan Muslims to be involved in any of this rubbish en masse. If there’s any credibility in such a threat then implement the law and produce them in a court of law. No one needs to spell that out to a country that prosecuted a war against the most ruthless terrorists and won barely few years ago. Instead perpetuating the lies that results in killing 4 innocent people and burning hundreds of shops and houses of more innocent people is lunacy at its best, out right irresponsible and dangerous to state the obvious.

    Adolf Hitler appointed Joseph Goebbels as Director of Propaganda who said;
“If you tell a big lie enough to keep repeating it, people will eventually come to believe it. The lie can be maintained only for such time as the State can shield the people from political, economic and military consequences of the lie. It thus becomes virtually important for the State to use all of its powers to repress dissent for the truth is the mortal enemy of the lie, and by extension the truth is the greatest enemy of the State.”

    https://www.colombotelegraph.com/index.php/enemy-at-the-gates-targeting-freedom-of-expression/

There is a brigade who keep repeating these lies with BBS, JHU, Ceylon Today et al. The truth is the greatest enemy for these devils. This is the same model used over and over (e.g. Iraq WMD) which has now resulted in ISIS etc. Losers are innocent people where ever they are. Stand up against lies regardless of your ethnicity or religious belief! That is what Lord Buddha, Jesus christ and Prophet Mohamed all stood for.

I am reminded of the boy who cried “wolf, wolf” when in fact there was NO wolf but when it did appear, as it surely will IF you keep on shouting “wolf, wolf”, keeping in mind SL is surrounded by Muslim Countries, then
it will be like inviting the wolf into the hen house = bloody mayhem!!
And, you will have only yourselves to BLAME!!!

    • 1
      1

And so, this is your version of a preemptive strike is it, before the wolf appears in your midst? And in this process innocent people paid with their lives, their homes, businesses and their lifetime savings. To me, this seems like the height of absurdity.

RIght now the only terrorists active in Sri Lanka, are the BBS led by their maniacal leader. Let the government deal with that first. Chances of other terrorists operating here from other nations are slim to none.
If the extremists Buddhists keep abusing the minority in this country, it could lead to resistance and terrorism.
So the government better use their God given brains, and stop this madness before ALL of Sri Lanka suffers.
    They are short sighted idiots.

    To be honest.
We have some theological extremists. Who are they are some salafi brothers and Wahhabis. Yet, they would not be danger at all to SL. They fight between themselves, between other muslissm groups and they do not engage in politics and they do not care even if devils rule what they want to see destoyng all santos innovation and all legal schools
They are indeed Saudi agents around the globe: some them half backed Islamic fanatics.
In sri- Lanka too we have. You could argued that they to contributed for the abrupt emerge of BBS. These fanatics had fighting in many places around SL and outside Srilanka.
In that sense we should agreed that we have theological fanatics and yet, for non Muslims it would be difficult to know them : because in Wahhabism or salafi there are hundreds of group: one group may have broken away from another group just because of one pity religious dispute or simply because of one Hadith
Even for Muslims theese groups have created confusion and chaotic situations: look what BBS shouting at is against this Group and yet who could know them and who could identify them? It is a hard jobs and which group from salafi: there are moderate, slight moderate, very moderate, extremtis and very extremists and so many ?
Other than that , to blame all other groups would be wrong.

    Dear Dr Ameer Ali.
You want to Muslims to participate in all non- Muslim events that take place in Srlanka. Of course we could participate in some events and there is no harm in that like that of national building events and development programmes and even in Independence Day celebration. Yet, Perahera? I do not think that Islamic teaching sanction such involvement : do you want to take your wife, daughters and children there. Do you want to spoil our children minds with non- Islamic practices.
Today they would participate but in hundreds year they would become Buddhists. Today they would go just for fun and in ten years time they would drinks and become non Muslims
Do you think that just because of separate Muslims school Muslims are left behind. What a stupid idea is this ?
Muslims are discriminated in employment and jobs and careers. You should expose that rather that talking about Muslims schools.
Once Muslimm schools are taken away we would have more Muslims giver marrying Sinhalese.
We have seen many muftis like Ameer Ali.
In this old age you better get ready and do some more forms of Ibada than creating fitna.
This is the danger when we have secular educated man speaking on Muslims and Islam
You are similar to Irshad Manjoo.

I bet there is a Thowheed jihadi from Sri Lanka fighting in for ISIS in Iraq. Already India has found out Tamil jihadis are with ISIS. Come baby come, I am vigilant. Hope won’t be long.

Tamil Jihadi? Well, that was a first. Another misleading lie. Got so used to incessant lying that you cannot stand up and walk straight anymore. So much that even when you tell a truth, it will still be considered a lie. Lying leads you to Hell and damnation.

The day the government took him to task he got into politics and that was a time Indira became unpopular and many left her to form the Janata party.

YES !!! until now we don’t see ANY extremists or foreign fighters in SL.. BUT the likes of BBS, JHU Sinhala Ravaya and the like are hell bent on INVITING THEM WITH A RED CARPET LAID OUT… by attacking Muslims Businesses. killing Muslims and destroying Muslim’s properties.. Until Saddam was overthrown and the Americans Bombed out Iraq.. no foreign fighters went o Iraq… Now Iraq is infested with foreign fighters…. and the Americans..slowly used an exit stratergy to flee Iraq which became a quagmire to the US…

SL cant afford another Bloody war… but coz of the BBS, JHU and their ilk..its inevitable… there would be one sooner than later…

This Amir Ali guy May be a moderate Muslim with a PhD … but his field of study has nothing to do with Islam.. I wonder if he can understand the script in ARABIC and not the translation.. A Medical doc cannot be the best person to talk about Criminal Law.. likewise Amir Ali cannot talk About Islam…He seems to be on the fence just so his residency status is safeguarded. Is he a Mufthi who has studied the Quraan and give religious edicts? I bet not…

Of cause they deny it. These ministers are liars and corrupted to the core and some of them are accused of [Edited out]. Elections are coming up, that’s why these crooks have decided to make some noise to get voted again for another term in the parliament.

Even Muslim elders and intellectuals are worried that their youth will catch ‘The Jihadi terrorist bug’. Muslim extremists are active in full-scale in Eastern province, they terrorise moderate muslims and non-muslims as well, bulldozed ancient archaeological sites and temples to the ground, written signs in Arabic, etc.

Muslim under-world is also active in full-scale in Maligawatta, Grandpass, etc. They are the wholesale importers of heroin from Pakistan, cannabis from Kerala, counterfeit cigarettes from the Middle East, etc. They use their Muslim connections from other Muslim countries to carry out these activities.

Scince US intelligence also claimed Jihadis’ existence in SL, It doesn’t matter what Muslim ministers and their councils say, Security forces must stay alert at all times, if they show any sign of extremism/terrorism in the slightest, then ‘nip it in the bud’.

Most Sri Lankan Muslims groups are connected to Jihadi Groups that are operated in Middle east. According to The Economic times India also very concern about the Sri Lankan Jihadis after one Sri Lankan Jihadi captured in India. Other point where can be used to speculations is recent ISIS plan to establish Islamic Caliphate. The territory which is planed to control by ISIS include Sri Lanka and India too. So there is high suspicion local hard line groups in both Sri Lanka and India are wanted to contact by ISIS.

    See future map of ISIS.

    Hi Fowzi!
I know little bit of your religion. Where were you all these days?Asking forgiveness for your silence when your people were massacred? Did You do it from a 7 star hotel room in Mecca or in the grand mosque itself. Ask your Muslim colleagues and yourself whom you have to answer on the day of reckoning. I am sure you believe its not Gnasara or his political bosses.
Have a great Eid and visit MR before and after the Eid prayer.

Why wherever world there are Muslims terrorists, USA, UK,AUS, Russia, China and heavily their own Muslim lands in M.E ???…That must be the Main Q ..
BBS may be only SL,even not threat for world and SL,,they just vocalists.. But they never calls for kills for non believers nor any converting,etc..But Muslims terrorist worst wherever they place. Why this moderate Muslims never ask to stop them within/Outside Muslims countries?? Why they silent on Iraqi Christians? In Sri Lankan, There are Pakistan Catholics who live in SL Bcoz of murdering them ?..Why these ministers embassies don’t take action against them ?…
Don’t take BBS is terrorist group, go and see Wikipedia terrorist, 90% belongs to Islamic militants ?….So if Islamic can have them. why we can’t to prevail Christians, Buddhist, Hindus terrorism groups etc against Muslims ?…Do we need to wait till out throat cut like Afghna, Pakistan, Iraq and many Muslim countries ??…….So stopping Muslim terrorist is a must…
