My ‘File’ Comment Has Been Misinterpreted: MR

Adding to the extremely absurd comments made by the members of the incumbent regime, President Rajapaksa has said today that his ‘file’ comment has been misinterpreted by media.

Mahinda_RajapaksaAccording to local media, speaking at a breakfast meeting held this morning at Temple Trees for Editors of national newspapers, President Rajapaksa had stated that he was not referring to any ‘files’ containing information on corruption but was only referring to the files that various Ministers forward to him.

“There are many kinds of files,” he had said smiling.

His clarification however fails to tally with his original comment made during a rally over a week ago, where he stated that he possess ‘files’ on all the Ministers who defected but that he would not use it against them since he does not seek vengeance.

Meanwhile, during the meeting president Rajapaksa had commented on the candidacy of former Minister Maithripala Sirisena, adding that the real competition is between former President Kumaratunga and himself.

He has said that Former Minister Sirisena is being used by Ms. Kumaratunga to take revenge from him but had added that he is not surprised at her bitterness since he has been able to achieve many things that she could not even imagine.

Since that “files” comment has backfired on him, he now pretends he was misunderstood.

Unfortunately for this regime, their history shows they are capable of dirty crimes, and have a very dodgy way of handling situations, so no one was really surprised that he has those “files”.
Too late to change that story buddy.

This is what happens when you elect uneducated 3rd grade low life as the head of state and see what a low level the country have fallen with his tenure.

We call ourselves a literate nation with a high level of good governance and democracy etc and what a shame.

MyIII its time to save this country from this Medamulana Junta.

P.S: Shame on those so called newspaper editors not to question him for this turnaround of events and he still need to make a bit more BS to beat Mervyn Silvas tie a Grama Sevaka into a Mango tree episode.

I agree with what you say. Whatever happened to voting for educated and polished leaders of a higher standing? We are cursed with uneducated and crude johnnies, who operate by threats and intimidation, and who seem to be surrounded by the same type of goons. They also protect and defend these goons when they commit a crime. They have absolutely no sense of accountability and do anything they like, even murder.
We have such poor choices now.

What goes around, comes around. If MaRa has files on his compatriots, they must be having files on MaRa too. This explains why the likes of Mervyn Silva and his son is able to get away with the most heinous crimes without a stain on their character.

@Sylvia Haik, I agree with you 100%. Also look around this MaRa bugger, his brother Goat Jarapasa ordered the hit on Lasantha W, nothing happened to him. If a murderer can get away in Rajapakistan, why not a street hoodlum like Malaka Silva get away.

If the President thinks that the people who watched the TV broadcast re: files are stupid then he is stupider than them. People of Sri Lanka are not that stupid and they clearly understood what he meant when he made the comment. President has reached a mental status where he is unable to grasp the fact that people can read him well, people know what type of a person the President is. It is sad that a President who wiped out Terrorism in Sri Lanka has also wiped out the goodwill he gathered from the people due to the victory from the hearts of the people.

      Oh Rajasingham,

Your fury is almost boundless – you now rush to grab at every opportunity that comes your way to hammer down the regime, the same one you carried a torch-for until about late last year. Almost reminds one of the adage about “the woman scorned”!

Good that you finally woke up. Or, is the regime after your neck for not keeping up your end of a bargain, perhaps one related to an all-paid vacation? MR had good reasons to believe he was governing a fool’s paradise only because of the abundance of abundantly gullible ones.

You keep evading, but you do need to answer a few questions forthrightly, and apologize as appropriate, if any of your credibility is to return:

First, why do you think MR gave you an all-paid vacation, if indeed he gave you that? Wouldn’t it be obvious that the regime would want you to sing for them as pay-back? Did you have any other reason to think you deserved a free vacation to be paid by Sri Lankan tax-payer? (Remember your recent comment “whose money is it” related to an article on election-dansalas?)

Second, what is the reason, if not shameful avarice, for you to accept an all paid vacation at Tax payer expense, if indeed you accepted one? If you wanted to see ‘ground realities”, couldn’t you pay for yourself?

If you didn’t accept a free-vacation, all you have to do is please let us all know – and then there will be no undue misunderstanding or allegations in this regard.

Third, if you indeed received such hand-out from the regime, how ethical do you think it is for you to repeatedly harp on and admonish the Diaspora for not funding this “governance,” the same ‘governance” that you now agree is not suitable for anything other than a fool’s paradise?

Ignoring legitimate questions and trying to cover-up for past sins with feigned holier-than-the-Pope comments will not wash. The least you can do is to offer apology to the Diaspora whom you repeatedly admonished for not pouring in funds at your request in support of the regime.

MR and Wimal are the most malicious spin doctors. How can this so called leader be the head of a family with young sons let alone be the leader of our country. Does this man undermine our intelligence or what?I sometimes I wonder what his discussions with the family at meal time must be. Possibilities could be.

” I took a commission of $3 million from the highway deal. Namal, you can now by that Ferrari you wanted”

” Today I conned the people again about why the cost of living is so high. I blamed it on the international community”

” Wimal is my loyal puppet…I mean parrot. He will repeat word for word what I tell him to do. He is my only reliable minister. The others are all gonnas.

” We must keep the LTTE story alive all the time so the people will be scared and vote form me” To hell with all our dead soldiers. I will build war monuments for them and the people will be happy.

” I hope the diaspora does something against our country now. Then again the people will get scared while they are busy getting worried I can increase the price of petrol and continue to whack 48/- per litre commissions.

Let it be known that this leader will be dragged along the streets and will hanged with his own red shawl from a lamp post for the misery he has brought us. Liar!!!!!!! Murderer!!!!!!and Thug!!!!!!!!!!

What a shame for his cabinet ministers. It is about time to send him and his cabinet home.

What a great comedian this great king. Even a school going child can interpret what he said accurately. It is absolutley an election violation. It is a good example the opposition has to take to the people how he cheated them by telling continuous lies. The people should ask themselves do we need this liar?

    From his talk of file
    He is full of guile
    Which brings out the bile
    Of anyone within a mile.
He should be hit on the head with a tile
And put on a boat in the Nile
    Pirates who are vile
Will be welcomed by a beaming smile
And hosted to dinner in style
Then sent to the used condom trash pile.

Now that his ‘I got their files’ comment has backfired terribly when questions are being raised why he allowed such corruption to occur under his watch without he resorting to remedial measures, he soon realized his blunder but it is too late. So he twisted it to mean some innocuous files of work in progress at the various Ministries that they deserted them and crossed over to the common candidate oppositon. Incidently this time though, the party cross over rule that he created and made maximum has now worked out against him. Ha, ha, ha. In any case, was MR’s statement meant as a political joke or has he gone bonkers and lost his balance? And he said it to newspaper editors and journalists who could pick up a scent trail from a distance. I say he is loosing the plot and his body language says it all. He seems to be trapped by his own misdeeds and his lousy administration. Greediness for wealth and power has got the better of him.

This turn of events for MR may be even due to all the prayers of the nultitude of people, very specially the minorities living in the country. Those who were deeply affected by his unleashing of mob violernce using extreme Buddhist forces on them. He as the Commanding Officer of the Armed Forces and Police did nothing to prevent it, nor have they made any arrests since that fateful day of Jun.15th 2014 (a black letter day for Muslims that will be remembered for years to come). There were many who were subjected to much harassment and hardship, and they bore it all with patience and prayer and turned in their desparation to God for justice. They probably now feel their prayers did not go to waste nor was it in vain.

Never mind his irrelevant argument about Kumaratunga (just another corrupt politician and creep), MR cannot shape out this time regarding “files” that he is capable of misusing and intimidation. If they are just other files sent to him by ministers, why would he associate them with his statement that he was not going to use them in revenge. MR has to tell lot more lies now to cover up his lies about not taking revenge. What he did to the National Hero and Savior from |Terrorists, General Fonseka was seen by all citizens in Sri Lanka and the rest of the world. Hope your cart will follow your neck now!

Rajapaksa deliveries are more biting and more hilarious than that silly looking Puswedilla..

Any way, the juicy parts at the brekky show were real gems.

Cousin Ranil is just an onlooker now.

Prez reckons he would have given a real run for the Elite . Anglican and Vellala money if he didn’t chicken out..

Chandrika and the Brother left the SLFP a couple of times and came back..Prez never did that.

There were two other Gen Secs who left the SLFP..

One is dead and the other has become a Monk..

No wonder Sira has Ven Rathna closer to him than any other oalition partners.

It is Cousin Chandrika and the Taylor boy who run the show..

Prez is very happy about it ,

Because even the UNP supporters don’t want them or anything to do with them..

But the readers of the LankaeN may disagree.

No wonder Sambandan is going to give his much anticipate decision on the day of the Election.

Fear forbia now compels MR to change and deny most of the things he thought first was brilliant but now find idiotic. ONE THING IS CERTAIN,EVERY ONE WHO DID NOT CROSS OVER ARE THOSE
CULPRITS WHOSE FILES ARE A THREAT TO THEIR POLITICAL FUTURE. MAHINDS MAHATHTHAYA DANNA APATA BORU EPA.
