This comedy should come to a halt.

Namal arrested and then bailed out. This clown should be behind bars for the rest of his life for crimes committed at the behest of his Dad’s authoritarian rule.

Thajudeen murder case is another delayed justice, all evidence and investigation thus far point the dagger directly at MARA family. Justice needs to be meted out for this ghastly murder, painted as a road accident by the murderers.

    Enough is enough.

“Namal Raja is a “Political Prisoner”.

It is like Mohandas Karamchand Gandhi’s “another trip to prison”. In total Mahatma went to prison 13 times.

        Has Namal broken Gandhi’s record?

When can I call him a Mahatma (Great Soul)?

We talk about Independent police commissions.

We talk about not having deals…. as had been the case of MR regime.

But why these men to set free on BAILING OUT…. if the charges are really high ?

Would that be the case of any common man being arrested on a similar case ?

Why the law is no equal to MADE Princes and common man ? THERE we need to focus on right at this alarming momenet of lanken changes

BAILING OUT IS MADE A JOKE BY TODAY… this needs to change if people to feel justice is given ..

Could the media for the sake of the Lankans don’t portray him as a victim. Everybody knows the stand taken by him and his family during the last 10 years. Whatever negative comments he or his Don makes about the law of the land should be self censored by the media whether print or electronic.
He shouldn’t be given special privileges,Like phone mattress more than a limited number of visitors. This includes respected clergy. Otherwise other inmates of the prison have every right to complain to the human rights commissioner – if we have got one.
Whatever small assets these goons have should be confiscated. Let them go another walk. If possible to his father’s deity’s temple in India.

The only achievement of this government is the process of arresting and releasing of their opponents without any positive outcome.

Handcuff the fraudster and murderer Namal Baba both hands behind the ass. CBK taught a lesson to SB of not providing mattresses and mobiles while serving his sentence at welikada.

We must be a joke around the world….these scoundrels are in and out, as if it is a game, and nothing else happens.
Each Rajapaksa takes a turn going in. Only the big scoundrel has not been thrown in jail yet. I guess they
must be afraid that there will be some reaction from his supporters.

There is no doubt there is a lot of crimes they must be held accountable for, but how about doing it the right and legal way?

This bugger has no shame; he thinks he is an actor so need to be taught a good lesson for treating the law of the land with contempt.

The law enforcement organization and that scoundrel of a minister of justice and FCID are playing Monopoly “Go to Jail”. These repetitive dramas are a form of carnival; entertainment.

Who exactly is in charge of this country’s Governance. The President and the PM and their entourages are ever doing foreign visits and touring, everybody making hay while their sun shines. In their absence, MR and his henchmen in the government are in fact still running the country, as I observe.

    Hollow Good Governance folks,

Please follow one of the following two methods:

    1) Apply Gota method to completely obliterate or make this criminal
    Namal baby disappear indefinitely

    2) Use CBK’s effective method to actually put this uneducated criminal
son of a corrupted father in a prison

Our National Hero and Future President or may be executive Prime Minister in case of Yahapalanaya change the Constitution. He has all the qualifications needed for the job. He will do better than his Farther, Baappi Basil and Maami Gota.

This time it can’t be much expensive as he can use the same mattress while in prison custody and in case if he want he can use the same bed in merchant ward where “Basil Baappi” was resting. GOMA Doctors are there to recommend that Namal is also suffering from the same sickness like Basil Baappi.

Look at the silly grin on the buggers face with his arms raised up. He is so proud of his achievement. No matter how many cases are investigated we have a corrupt jail system and a corrupt judiciary. Fail to fire the corrupt and this is what you get.

Our human mind is so limited that we tend to forget all the Rajapakse misgivings as the years pass by. Hence, my belief, is that this government’s intent is to drag these cases all through the next couple of years….tarnish their image to the maximum……until perhaps few months before the next elections….and then show the nation the extent of corruption and nepotism that prevailed during the Rajapakse rule before finally locking them up permanently and also banning them from contesting any future election.

This is a “BORN SHOW”. No doubt, the end result of this Yahapaalanaya exercise will be the Royal family going Scott free thanks to the Invisible Hand of the Yahapaalanaya shielding them from being prosecuted or harmed.

The parents are judged by the offspring. That is the upright and the crooked be known (the character of ) their offspring. There is also a saying like father like son. Rajapaksa’s sons made full use of the power and influence wielded by their father who was vested with enormous powers.

” In a New York Times cover piece, reporters detail how Ukrainian anti-corruption officials are focusing in on handwritten ledgers that show $12.7 million in undisclosed cash payments designated for Donald Trump‘s campaign manager Paul Manafort. According to The Times, the ledgers are from “Mr. Yanukovych’s pro-Russian political party from 2007 to 2012, according to Ukraine’s newly formed National Anti-Corruption Bureau.””

Are Sri Lankans capable of finding Rajapaksa’s black ledger?

These guys stole a few million, maybe a few billion. Nevertheless, it was RAJAPAKSE who got rid of that criminal entity, LTTE, once and for all. MR could have had a real dictatorship like some here are imagining. Yet, he took part in DEMOCRATIC elections and left the stage voluntarily after all was done. Given their service to the country, all the Rajapakses should enjoy an amnesty. What is the value of these witch-hunts by Ranil & Sirisena to score political points with the West? Those who insist on going this route, CBK should be the first to be jailed, then investigate Ranil’s Batalanda torture chambers.

      Lester,

It was not Rajapakse who got rid of the LTTE but the high-ups in the army. If you remember, Rajapakse got into a stinking money deal with the LTTE to deny the Ranil/UNP a victory. If you have doubts ask Tiran/Emilkanthan.

The army always had a plan to defeat the LTTE militarily but the political will was lacking both during CBK’s and Ranil’s time. Finally, MR received India’s blessing to finish the Sun God. I have no problem in giving some credit to the Rajapakse Brothers – but not all.

Capability is one thing, leadership is a different matter. Rajapakse may have tried to cut deals with the LTTE at one time, but only he had a backbone to stand up the international community, right to the very end. No one in the UNP had a plan for defeating the LTTE. CBK was aiming for devolution. JR tried to get India to finish off the LTTE, and then he cut a deal with the LTTE to get rid of India! The whole time Mahinda was supposedly “negotiating” with the LTTE, Gothabaya was transforming the Forces behind the scene. When the big battles came, the SLA simply decimated the LTTE. Elephant Pass, Mullaitivu, Kilinochi… every inch of ground the incapable UNP ceded to the Tigers was won back with incredible ease. I also credit Mahinda for making deals with India, China, and Russia. No doubt these countries supplied the crucial weapons and intelligence that underpinned the final victory in 2009.
