Pope Benedict XVI met on June 8 with Sri Lanka’s President Mahinda Rajapaksa. Their conversation was focused on efforts to promote reconciliation in the nation after its long civil war. A brief Vatican statement released after the meeting said: “The hope was expressed that a global joint solution may soon be found corresponding to the legitimate expectations of all the parties involved.”
The Pope and Rajapaksa also discussed the contributions of the Catholic Church to the welfare of the people of Sri Lanka, especially in the fields of health care, education, and social welfare.

Before he became a Catholic Priest, he enjoyed the company of Nazis as a member of Hitler Youth Organization. And also he enjoyed the association of his brother Bishop Ratzinger in Bavaria, who abused small children sexually. As Pope, he helped his brother to conceal all these criminal acts.
No wonder why he likes the association of the President of Sri Lanka.
