Prophet Not Perfect, Says Sri Lankan Islamic Scholar

By Richard Kerbaj –

Dr.Ameer Ali

A leading adviser on Islam, Ameer Ali, has attacked Muslims who “blindly” follow their faith and fail to question the veracity of the Koran, saying that even Mohammed had “flaws”.

The chairman of John Howard’s Muslim advisory board yesterday warned that Islamists would continue to breed jihadis unless the Koran was “reinterpreted” for today’s society.

He also said mosques were increasingly being used by imams to deliver sermons that were not open to discussion.

Dr Ali said the majority of Muslim clerics had for centuries imposed a “literalist” teaching of Islam, telling their followers that deviating from the written message would ultimately lead to their admission into hell.

“The times are changing and with the change of times, you also have to reinterpret the Koran,” he told The Australian.

“Because if you believe that it’s a book for all the times and all the nations, then that book must be yielding new meanings.

“There are verses about slavery, and the Koran says you must be kind to the slaves. So are the Muslims saying we must have slavery to be kind?

“The jihadists are interpreting the Koran literally and that’s the problem … Popular Muslims, because of their lack of knowledge about religion, are vulnerable to these sort of teachings.”

Dr Ali, who is writing an academic paper entitled “Closing of the Muslim Mind”, said even Mohammed was not the “perfect model” as most Muslims believed. Asked if the prophet had character flaws, he said: “Of course – you must look at him as a human being also.”

His call for moderation comes 11 days into Ramadan, the holy month that requires Muslims to fast, give to charity and become more spiritually accountable.

His comments came as a French philosophy teacher was forced into hiding after describing the Mohammed as a ruthless warlord and mass murderer. Robert Redeker has been under police protection, moving between secret addresses, since threats against him appeared on Islamist websites last week. His home address was published with calls to murder.

Dr Ali criticised community members for playing victim when Muslims reacted violently against criticism, as after the publication of the Danish cartoons and the recent comments by the Pope.

He said it was time for Muslims to “confront this challenge head-on and look critically at their behaviour and mode of response to alleged blasphemy”.

Dr Ali called for Hezbollah to be removed from the Government’s terror organisations list two months ago, saying they were freedom fighters defending their country against Israeli invasion.

The former president of the Australian Federation of Islamic Councils said there were sections of the Koran that were relevant to “everybody at every time”.

But he said people needed to read into the scripture and not merely accept it as the final word.

Dr Ali – who heads the Muslim Community Reference Group set up last year following the London bombings to improve communication channels between the federal Government and Australia’s 300,000 Muslims – labelled the idea of going to hell for questioning the Koran a “load of rubbish”.

“Because we cannot decide who’s going to go to hell and who’s going to go to heaven – that’s left to the creator,” he said.

Dr Ali criticised Muslims who react violently towards any depictions of Mohammed while aspiring to emulate his ways.

“True, Islam prohibits any drawing or a statue to be carved out representing the figure of the prophet. Still, it has not prevented the Muslims from imitating the physical features of Mohammed,” he said.

Dr Ali said it was “ridiculous” that some Muslims believed God would judge them on the “length of (their) beard”. He said Muslims would be judged on their “character, their knowledge, their contribution to society”.

He said young Muslim Australians were slowly becoming more inquisitive about their faith. “Therefore they are going to ask questions when they grow up and that’s a healthy trend,” he said.

Yah, don’t try to portray him as another Manji, because his message is as clear as Cristal. He has a correct message to rectify the Muslim community, not that he is criticizing the prophet rather he want us to look at his human aspects as well.

Please don’s misquote and mislead as this is not another Rushdie or Manji Emerging from Australia.

He is not “Attacking” the Muslims he is correcting his fellow brothers.

As a fellow journalist you should try your best not to mislead. He is like a father who is trying to correct his misbehaving children.

    May God Bless Ameer Ali.

Let it be Prophet Mohamed, Lord Buddha or Jesus Christ all have been mortals and none are perfect. There are many instances that can be quoted from the very history of these individuals, not that they wrote their own autobiographies but from the works of their followers.

This is a good start. No Muslim should be scared to discuss matters openly. Here some good saying from the Holy Quran

“Praise God who has never taken a son for Himself,
nor does He have a partner to rule, nor does he need
anybody to protect Him from humiliations”. (17:111)

They have taken their priests and the scholars as
    Lords besides God (9:31)

O you who believe, the priests and the religious
scholars cheat the people out of their money, and
they divert everybody from the path of God. (9:34)

well dudes now it is clear who actually create chaos in this world. So people open your eyes and your mind.

” Allah will not guide those who defy their common sense – Al Quraan (10:100)”

Gamini – please note that Jesus Christ was not a mortal he was the immortal son of God who became a man to be born of a woman and to redeem human kind. He was sinless and never wrote His autobiography. The Bible presents Him as who He is – Son of God. I don’t understand what people get from attacking the beliefs others hold sacred. It applies to Christianity, Hinduism, Buddhism and Islam.

      Hi Sabana:

If he the son of God, does God has a wife? who is he? or is God is gay?. If Jesus was immortal why Christians say that he died on the cross for our sins? if not he just passed out on the cross and woke up? If he Jesus had died then he must be mortal too- you can not say he was not an immortal. So tell me please what is it?

We need couple of more Ameers to take on emerging false, deceptive and destructive ulemmas who are holding completely vulnerable muslims as
virtually captives by their unquestioned preachings of punishments in
hell. You turn to this side,it’s hell and to that side it’s bloody hell. What else are they capable of delivering? The passage of about a week before and six months after the death of the prophet can disclose
how serious he was taken by his closest aides. The very question of how Fathima was treated by prophet’s trusted friends and relatives, was evident at Fathima’s last wish that her funeral must be kept a secret
from them.Just a tip of the iceberg. What’s paramount here is,scholars
coming forward breaking barriers. My strong belief is,exactly like this one, change must happen from within and not with outside harsh attack directed with the intention of causing damage to a civilisation under the pretext of freedom of expression.

What ever his positions academics or the acquainted knowledge besides important things are to the Muslim society .. what is his (Dr,) faith.. the belief and the discipline . Any body can interprets Islam by reading it’s supprim Arabic literature The Quran, but if it is the right way ? The way that Muslim world accepts?. It has a tradition from the time of prophet and to his companions..and then from companions to their students..from that students to their students.. It has generation.of generations. 1400 years old solid history ..it is the chain of the truth the interpretation, as well the practice. It is the life of Islam the living truth . Any body who try to give modern interpretations to the Quran are the blinds in faith , without true faith there can not be true knowledge in Islam, For them there is no point of talking Islam or preaching, it is better saying a modern Joke.
It is very important to mention here that Dr, Ali is not accepted as a Islamic Scholar in Muslim world or The Grand Scholars Association.
there are many Doctors in Islam but there are not Scholars for Muslims or the believers in Islam.
I hope the Muslims are already away of him but Srilankan none Muslims Specially Sinhalese Buddhist should not misunderstand him.

Women suffer a great deal by the interpretation of the provisions applicable to women, marriage, polygamy, inheritance etc. A qualified women, may be a judge, a graduate cannot sign the marriage contract but a 16 year old boy must sign the marriage register. Women cannot be judges in a family ( quazi court) but women can be a supreme court judge. There is a requirement that you need 2 women to sign as witnesses, but there are women as accountants and finance managers. I suppose there are attempts by regimes and societies who want to change society to what it was in the 6th century to practice Islam with slaves!!!. We are not expected to question Islam. All what is favorable to men are voiced loud and clear and legalised and what is favorable to women are left to the man’s concious and we are placated by saying that the man will suffer in hell for it. If we are raped we are to be blamed and the rapists are not blamed. But if a man is robbed or murdered, he is not blamed for not taking precautions. Islam as practiced NOW is un friendly to women. We talk about number of women converting to Islam, but there is no record of women who are leaving Islam silently without changing thier name.

One good guy is trying to take the right path and two idiots have decided to preach the supremacy of their preffered teacher. Fun to watch!

Who is his Dr. Ameer Ali? Is he a Shia/ Sunni Muslim? Dr. Ameerali, Prophets Muhammed (PBUH) & Jesus/ Eisa (PBUH)had flaws, agreed but they had the direct help or assistance from God/ Allah everytime when they did something wrong as they were the Messengers/ Prophets of God/ Allah. They were the best role models to their societies..Criticism of Prophets are not new but they were criticising them since last 1400 yrs.

I guess this is all that you dream of all day, masturbation and genital mutilation. You cad. Don;t blame these practices on the Prophet of Islam, but on various cultures that adopted these practices, including nose and tongue piercing. There are thousands of other good reasons why you should understand the rest of his teachings, that you will be convinced about the true nature of our Prophet Muhammed (May peace be upon him).

This may be just the beginning of what we could expect in the times to come. A so called Islamic scholar passing judgment on so called fallacies of the Prophet of Islam, who was a chosen Messenger of God Almighty. The Prophets Hadiths (words and sayings) and Sunnas (deeds and actions) have been recorded in four volumes called Buhary, Hambali, Thirmidhi and Muslim. Most of which are original first hand experiences and information provided by his last wife Aisha (Ral.), and some recorded (as told by) hadiths by religious scholars such as Abu Huraira (Ral.). Trying to pick out so called ‘flaws’ of the Prophet, is like saying that there are ‘mistakes’ in the Quranic text, which are divine messages and not ‘man made’, so they now attack its interpretations. These blasphemous talk will just pass over like light showers after a short while, leaving behind nothing but the truth, and the yearning to learn more and understand and bring into practice the Sunnah’s of the Prophet. Almost the same as ‘9/11’ effect, which aroused the curiosity of the people to understand ‘True’ Islam, and eventually come to accept Islam as their religion of choice, upon realizing that it is very different to what those terrorists (Jihadists) and the many Jewish and Christian controlled Media Institutions make them to believe. This is just a wake up call, to all those who are dormant and lethargic, to defend by responding effectively to counter this menace. We Muslims revere our Prophet Muhammed (May Peace be upon him) more dearly than our own lives, and don’t want to question his actions (let alone his so called ‘flaws’), since these were all done with divine guidance.

Whywhy, I thought you were like the rest of Muslims, a fanatical believer. Anyway it is good to know that there are many, begining to question belief without blindly following others and being used for various ends.I remember I had a class mate a Muslim from Akurana who did not believe in God or Religion. We used to discuss issues freely without inhibitions. He avoided Friday prayers as well. After a very long time I met him wearing a fez. I questioned him as to what happened to his ideas and opinions. Then he related that when the Muslim community understood that he was avoiding the Mosque, one day there had been about ten including mullas at his house and virtually threatening him bodily harm and damage to his business. So he told me that he had no option but to fall in line. This is the reality although many Muslims boast that Islam is the largest and the fastest growing Religion, this is how they keep the numbers intact. However Laws of impermanance will overun Islam as well with time.

Now to answer Jimsofty and Sahana. If only Jimsofty reads and try to understand Buddhism it would do a world of good for himself. As for Sahana his belief that Jesus Christ was not a mortal but was the son of God, born to a woman to redeem the humans. Sahana, I thought that God created man, with Adam and Eve, then why should Jesus being the son of God, be born to a woman. Surely God would have just created Jesus as well, his only son? like how he created Adam and Eve? Why is it because it was too late in civilisation for society to believe in creation of someone from nothing? Therefore the story that she was born to Mary? Now what was the reason for a man and a woman to live together? Was it not to cohabit and propergate mankind? Leave alone the parthenogenesis theory where such born from an ovem could never be a male, who can vouch that Joseph refrained from copulating with Mary? For that matter how long did this couple Joseph and Mary lived togather? Was it just for one day to deliver this God’s child? Is it that Mary was not impregnated for nine months as others? Then why this Joseph in the scene anyway? Mary could have delivered the one day old foetus without Joseph? Is Joseph in the scene, to avoid the child being called a bastard? Now tell me who wrote the Bible, the Old Testament and the New Testament? Was it God? No man wrote both in Hebrew. As believed when God created Adam and Eve, did he bless them with the language Hebrew? No, Hebrew was found very much later after thousands of years. Besides where do you fit Adam and Eve in the scenario of the Neaderthal man to Homo Habilis to Homo Sapiens? It is said that after Jesus was born the three Herods were led to the place by a star. For this story to be believed, leave alone a star, could the Moon that is very much bigger than a star, guide someone to a particular place on earth? Such an object in the Hemisphere can never guide anyone on earth to a spot as the object will be visible to a wide area of a size of a Continent, unless the object enters the stratosphere and hangs over the place, which is not the case here. Then again Jesus being the son of God, being All Mighty, why be at the hands of humans to be crucified, for something he was not? It is told that after the three, that were crucified bare bodied, they were placed inside a cave and on the third day Jesus rose fully garbed in a white long gown/casoc. Now, who clad him in clothes because it was not God, who invented or manufactured clothes, but man. There is nothing mentioned as to what happened to the other two? Is there Sahana? I could go on and on to debunk but would refrain due to space and time.

In Christianity the Old Testament (man written not God written) says of the arrival of Jesus, Similar to in Buddhism how Lord Buddha was born after the five conditions were perfected. The place, season, country, family and the Royal Caste. The supposed birth was only a sojourn before attaining Nirvana. Jimsofty, Why Royalty? If according to his preachings, there is no truth to cast, then he could have been born to a low cast and achieved enlightenment anyway? If that was so, could there be a following for such birth today? I wonder! I fail to understand that if this bitrh of Buddha was his last to stop his journey of ‘Samsara’, surely then he would not have contributed to extend Samsara by producing an offspring of a son? If Buddha’s birth was planned as explained, then by procreating, he contradicts his own purpose of birth, as he is contributing to extend life on earth. Besides who can vouch for, that according to rebirth in Buddhism, that he has ceased his journey. Can you Jimsofty? Lord Buddha after being enlightened he says, ‘Ehi Passiko, Opanaiko Pachchaththang Vesi Thabbo, Vinno Hithi.’ Jimsofty, do you know the meaning? I doubt. Buddha says not to believe in him merely because he says so, but for one to evaluate his teachings. As you are an ardent follower of Buddhism, requesting me to read Buddhism saying that Buddha was not a mortal, have you evaluated yourself? Would Buddha have said so, if he was certain that it was the TRUTH and nothing but the Truth. For your information there is no perfect Truth as you get degrees of truth, according to Freud, Jung and Addler. Jimfosty, I do know about myself, but as for you, please educate yourself before you air your views in public forums.

Hi Gamini,I think I had in the past, tried to make my self clear on issues of religion, politics and some other social, national and International developments that concern all humanity, from a free thinking view point.I put humanity on top of anything else so that you
know where your priorities are.As far as religious belief is concerned, the world is still identifying itself religiously in some or other way possibly because of the fear that was created in their hearts and minds thousands of years ago about a life after death. Many of those who talk in high pitch about their strong belief, don’t care a damn in their private life.I have seen that from high to low nationally and internationally. The way we belong to a religion, doesn’t happen through education, choice or belief. It just happens by birth. You are just born in a religion and you belong to that religion and you do what your parents do because it’s belief and no need of a reason and also it becomes with the passage of time, your identity.Divide and rule further aggravate the situation by religiously alienating one religion from the other, making way for political exploitation.Rolling back to whichever position we were in,becomes a nightmare in countries like ours with limited resources,as a result.”Who is best” come into play sometimes as an offensive and other times as a defence but both by the strongest at the easiest excuse of the weakest belonging to different identity. All in the name of religions of which nobody has any clue except superstition.Even prophet muhammad said, his generation is the best followed by the next and the next. Therefore he even advised his followers to choose the”middle path.”Great Islamic scholars like Abu sina(Avicenna),Al Hazen and Ibn Khaldun were notable among many, who contributed to modern science, and spent much of their lives for the benefit of all mankind. They all had memorised quran and had a vast knowledge of Islam and practicing Arab muslims. These extraordinary characters excelled not only in areas of science but also in philosophy, theology, sociology, economic etc…You find Khaldun statue in Tunis and Avicenna’s in Tajkistan, and why I’m mentioning this here is,just to show you that Statues are erected in honour of their services, contrary to islamic belief on erecting statues .Finally to conclude, please take a look at what the British philosopher Robert Flint had to say about Ibn Khaldun “as a theorist of history,he had no equal in any age or country until Vico appeared more than 300yrs later.Plato,Aristotle and Augustine were not his peers, and all others were unworthy of being even mentioned along with him”.

Muslims dont need to study any other religions because the Quran is the last and final Testament revealed to mankind. It was a divine revelation which God Allah sent through Arch Angel Gabriel (Jibreel in Arabic) to Prophet Muhammed (May peace be upon him) to guide mankind towards paradise in the hereafter. Islam supersedes all other religions like Judaism, Christianity, Hinduism and Buddhism and is only 1433 years old. Only 24 prophets are mentioned by name starting from prophet Adam upto Prophet Muhammed (May peace be upon them both), including the actual events on the miraculous birth of Prophet Jesus (Easaw in Arabic) (Peace be upon him). According to the Quranic text, there were 124,000 prophets sent onto this earth from time to time throughout history. Prophet Muhammed (PBOH) is the last, final, and seal of all the prophets, and there will be no more prophets to come. Towards the end of the world, Jesus (PBOH) is due to come and confirm Prophet Muhammed’s teachings and confirm the Muslim belief that he did not die on the Cross, but it was someone else who was crucified, but it only appeared to them as such. The Roman soldiers who came looking for Jesus (PBOH) did not know what he looked like, and kept asking everyone on the street ‘Where is Jesus, who is he, what does he look like?’. It was Judas who betrayed Jesus by telling them where to find him, but God saved Jesus from this humility and agony, simply because Jesus (PBOH) obeyed God’s commandments and carried out His message, then why would God want to punish Jesus by putting him on the Cross. Makes no sense. In fact he appeared to his close disciples after his so called ‘cruci fiction’, but they foresook him and fled thinking he was the ghost. He was hungry and eat bred. He appealed to them to touch him and feel his flesh, but they refused to accept the reality. It is all explained in the Holy Quran.

Iththi says,’Muslims dont need to study any other religions because the Quran is the last and final Testament revealed to mankind’. Even the Quoran, like the Bible was written by man and not by God. Therefore there are many falacies stated by, the over unthusiastic followers. These falacies are getting highlighted and questioned today by the inquisitive minds.

When the Quran was revealed in peacemeal (revelations came at different periods in different periods, when the Prophet was in Mecca and Medina), it was committed to memory by his close associates (Sahabas in Arabic), written on stone and on parchments, and recited aloud in groups and congregations with close monitoring for accuracy by the Prophet himself. It was during the Caliphate of Umar-ibnu-Khathab (about 60 years after the Prophet passed away) that all the surviving Huffaz (those who had committed the Quran to memory), when a lot of them were martyred in battles, were brought together, made to recite it, checked, verified and rechecked with the inscriptions already written on stone and parchments during the time of the Prophet, and with divine guidance, finally came out in book form. Manuscripts pf this first Quran is stored in a museum in Turkey. In the Quran itself, it is revealed that God Himself has vouched to protects its integrity until the end of time. Had you read the Quran tried to understand its underlying messages through the translations, you will be convinced it is truly God’s clear message spoken to all of mankind. It is written in the first person, unlike the Bible, which has a mix of 1st, 2nd and 3rd person, with statements such as ‘Jesus said that …’ or ‘It is said that Jesus …’, where as in the Quran, the language is unequivocally 1st person, ‘it is We that created you in pairs’, (We refers to plural pf respect, which is unique to the Arabic, Aramaic and some pther dialects). This subject can be quite exhaustive, but is readily available all over the internet.

Iithi, you admit the Quoran was revealed in peacemeal. By whom? I presume God Allah and the revelations came from time to time to Prophet Mohamed, where his close associates, memorised and wrote on stone and on parchments. Precisely what I said the Quoran was written by man and not by God. For your information, the parchment writings should be very much later as at the time inscriptions were done on stone, parchment was not even discovered. So the Quoran was not written even by Prophet Mohamed but by his associates and followers from time to time. Why could not God Allah present the whole Quoran on parchment or whatever, without having to wait till man discovered writing material and a language? You say the Quoran was checked, rechecked verified and made in to book form with devine guidence. The checking also would have been again the writings of former devouts and no one else. Why was this devine unable to produce the Quoran without having to depend on humans who would have erred and added according to their fervour? This is exactly what happened where man made Religions were attributed to non existant Gods.

          lithi,Is this First person?
Quran (2:191-193) – “And slay them wherever ye find them, and drive them out of the places whence they drove you out, for persecution [of Muslims] is worse than slaughter [of non-believers]… but if they desist, then lo! Allah is forgiving and merciful. And fight them until persecution is no more, and religion is for Allah.”
Quran (3:151) – “Soon shall We cast terror into the hearts of the Unbelievers, for that they joined companions with Allah, for which He had sent no authority”.

Also, pardon me, but did God script those verses?

How can one call him a Islamic scholar ? (1) He is another one uttering blasphemy (2) if what is written here was really uttered by him. Readers should analyze from these two points of view.

It is good to know that there are members like Dr. Ameer amongst the Muslim community who has questions about what they believe in. Nonetheless it is, as he says; knowledge, character and positive contribution to the society are very crucial at present.

This world needs not money, oil and other materialistic things than it needs Loving Kindness and Compassion today. Every single ‘minute’ there are some ‘20,000 children’ die without ‘food and water’ in the African continenet alone (UN reports) WHY…? We are very selfish altogether, we have not even bothered to look at these figures.

This world has enough and more resources to feed every living being but not enough to satisfy one single man’s greed. Therefore we must blame ourselves for what is going on and start looking for what the Lord Buddha said from today. It should be We not I, not Me but Us, not Mine but Ours we can change the world likewise.

Yes thought provocative Some of the Quranic verses & sayings of prophet Mohamed suited his era 1400 yrs ago , not in this modern civilized world such as marrying under age girls ,slaves, checking virginity etc.

During Prophet Mohameds era, the Arabs were killing (Burying Alive) females, not more than one female is accepted by them it was prophet Mohamed (swt) put & end to it, he advised the rich to adopt & marry when they attained puberty, He too undertook his older friends daughter Aysha when she was 9yrs, married at 13 when she attained puberty, The Non Muslims have taken this issue to Tarnish Islam not knowing the reason, well this cannot be accepted in a non Muslim country in this era.

Don’t misrepresent facts, nor confuse yourself with what little you know. Female infanticide happened before the advent of Prophet, famously known as the period of ignorance (Ayyamul Jaahiliya in Arabic). These bad practices were stopped with the advent of Islam, and the coming of the Prophet of Islam. By the way, checking virginity is not an Islamic practice as quoted by you.. The Prophet of Islam was so kind that he banned taking interest and charging usury from loan transactions, completely banned consuming alchoholic drinks, banned gambling and womanizing, image and statue worshipping, and taught mankind to be respectful to parents and elderly, show love and kindness to young children and God’s creations, respect for the learned Ulemaas and Alims (Men of religious learning). Why not write about the positive effects of his teachings and practices, rather than dwelling on some lies and misconstrued facts, which show Islam in negative light. There are a good sizeable practicing Muslim population in the world today, who have no problems falling in line with these laws.

Religion is an orchard of which the fence is the Law (al-sharî`a), the inner grove is the Path (al-tarîqa), and the fruit is the Reality (al-haqîqa). Whoever has no Law has no Religion; whoever has no Path has no Law; and whoever has no Reality has no Path Our doctrine is that Allah is pre-eternal and pre-existent (qâdim azalî). He does not resemble anything nor does anything resemble Him. He has no direction nor place. He is not subject to time nor duration. Neither “where” (ayn) nor at (hayth)applies to Him. He shall be seen, but not as a part of face-to-face encounter, nor in the sense of a face-to-face encounter
It can be ascertained that the troublemakers (al-mushaghibun) in our time, who claim that they belong to the school of the Salaf, outwardly making a show of such affiliation, do not in any way whatsoever belong to it: neither in knowledge nor in practice. They are propagators of falsehood, deception, and misguidance devoid of all guidance.” (Munir ‘Abduh Agha)
The Muslims who implement tasawwuf don’t engage in disputation and quarrelling about religion, and certainly not in showing off, but they hold that it is better “for one to occupy himself with what is for and against him,” and they focus on seeking Sacred Knowledge.

This is utter Blasphemy… These Guys like Ameer are tools of the Jews…. These guys should be torched for his comments about the Prophet. What knowledge does he have about the Quran or the Life and ways of the Prophet for him to make comments? He is just another beggar with the begging bowl….He would be surcsed like the others in history.

Srilankan, These comments reflect the sad state of affairs in our society, not necessarily your religion. If you dislike Fonseka’s antics or have different political view, you are paid by the regime, if you try to understand a religion better, he is a tool of the Jews. Not prepared to accept anything other than something you have been told to believe. As particularly for your religion, aith a tiny scientific shift in belief and attitude, middle eastern countries can be as properous as the USA, with their vast GDPs.Stay put, in 50-100 years, they’ll be no different to what Bangladesh today is.

How true the wise saying “A little knowledge is a dangerous thing”, especially in the case of the ignorant fool, “Dr”. Ameer Ali. you know next to nothing on ISLAM.

“Nay, We hurl the Truth against falsehood, and it knocks out its brain, and behold, falsehood doth perish! Ah! woe be to you for the (false) things ye ascribe (to Us).”- Al quran 21:18

This idiot of a guy seems to have a solution to every problem. let us call him Dr.Ali Solution bin Every Problem! Forget the Quraan and the Hadith. You Muslims, you gotta a problem turn to Dr.Ali the ‘perfect role model’! Hizbullah are freedom fighters?! Ah, ah, this guy sounds like a Rafidi Shia or is he a Jew? The foolish, ignorant and gullible masses with all their colorful degrees attached to their names will always stand by and support an equally foolish and ignorant scumbag.

The heading is misleading The none Muslims,
The educated Srilankan Muslims know what is “Islamic scholar” means, Dr, Ameer Ali may be a born Muslim or a reverted Muslim.
It is not a question for Muslims,
But None Muslims should understand He is not a Islamic Scholar in Muslim world.
So what his sayings or interpretations are not important to Muslims, even any Muslim can say any what he meant but no Muslim care about it,it is the freedom ,

The Prophet Muhammad (SAW) said:” There will come a time when holding on to your Iman (belief) will be like holding on to hot coals”
    And he predicted so many signs of last day and I am listing some of them here;
    1. Compete in building tall buildings
    2. Illegal sex will become widespread.
    3. Earthquakes will increase.
    4. Time will pass more quickly.
    5. Bloodshed will increase.
    6. Trustworthiness will be lost.
    7. The # of men will decrease, while the # of women will increase
    8. Wine (Intoxicants, alcohol) will be taken in great quantities
    9. Women will be naked in spite of wearing dresses
    10. Jesus Christ(Prophet Isaa) will descend.

This story was published in The Australianin Oct2006. What is Colombo Telegraph’s agenda in putting a story now? He was advising FORMER PM Howard. Your story gives the false impression that it is the current PM. Cheap attempt to gain hits? Shame on you!

Mohideen Bawa, all these Religious Heads who have preached Religions to a society then, who were mostly unintelligent as your self at a time the media was not heard off, would have been considered as Gods, but not anymore. These non existant Gods are helpless and powerless although you stupids believe they are powerfull.
