Rajapaksas Used Aircrafts Like Local Taxi Service; Details Of Aircraft Misuse By Rajapaksas & Their Henchmen Revealed

Appalling details of the manner in which former President Mahinda Rajapaksa, his family members and his henchmen who were Ministers of the former regime misused the Sri Lanka Air Force aircraft during the Presidential election campaigning period, have come to light.

SLAF helicopters and fixed-wing aircrafts have been exploited at the whims and fancies of the Rajapaksas and some of the Ministers of the former regime, which has resulted in a loss of millions of rupees which will now be settled by taxpayers’ money.

Weekly newspaper Sunday Times reported the SLAF aircrafts have been misused by the Rajapaksa family and some of the former Ministers as if it was a ‘local taxi service’.

Former President had used different types of helicopters and Chinese built Y-12 passenger transport aircraft on 71 flights during the period of December 1, 2014 – January 9, 2015. They had all been used to attend election rallies except for a few official engagements.

Although his then rival, President Sirisena was not permitted to use the SLAF assets, others who are not entitled for this perk including his son MP Namal Rajapaksa, the then first lady Shiranthi Rajapaksa had freely made use of this facility and obtained free rides on SLAF helicopters.

Shiranthi Rajapaksa had used SLAF aircrafts on seven trips for which payments have not been made to this day and one such trip includes travelling from Rathmalana to Maharagama and back, which is not more than five km apart on December 12.

Meanwhile Namal Rajapaksa had used the flights on 25 occasions without making any kind of payment up to this date and travelled to various locations including Mattala, Tangalle, Rathnapura, Kandy, Anuradhapura, Manna, Palali etc.

“The Sri Lanka Air Force is yet to receive payments for flights offered to members of former President Mahinda Rajapaksa’s family and former Ministers of his Government. The rates were charged from the point of departure of the aircraft/helicopter from the SLAF base in Ratmalana. Until yesterday the SLAF has not received any payments for these flights.” the Sunday Times said.

It appears as though these records are accurate and straight forward. Then surely the government auditors must also have them.

It therefore follows that any illegal use of these aircraft should have resulted in the police charging the offenders and producing them in court.

If found guilty as charged, the appropriate penal code should be applied by the magistrate, including fines and imprisonment.

One wonders why the wheels of justice are grinding ever so slowly when evidence seems to be so clear and abundant.

All these facts and figures were kept away from the average- guillible, gawky, vulnerable masses. That was the reason them as voters amouting 5.8mio voted for Rajapakshe in the last PE, else not even subhumans would have voted him.

Are you seriously suggesting that members of the Rajapaksa family ought to be subject to the same rules, including the criminal law, as everybody else? On very rare occasions, such as Margaret Thatcher’s poll tax, which people en masse refused to pay, the prosecutors decide not to prosecute. If they get a sympathetic judge (nod nod, wink wink) the Rajapaksas could argue that there are so many of them who broke the law, and there were so very many laws that they broke that, like Margaret Thatcher’s government, instead of prosecuting, they should change the law. After all, when the President Rajapaksa stole term limits, he did it by changing the law, the same way that he stole control of all manner of ministries.

Seriously, so long as Dick Cheney walks free (just as Idi Amin did after he fled to Saudi Arabia), the American model of refusing to prosecute its own war criminals may be influencing other countries. But this is plain old fashioned theft, unless the Rajamugabe family makes a credible case that they were entitled to use these planes this way.

p.s. Basil’s routine physical in the U.S. seems to be taking a while.

“On very rare occasions, such as Margaret Thatcher’s poll tax, which people en masse refused to pay, the prosecutors decide not to prosecute.”

this is not entirely true , there were many cases where people were sent to jail for not paying their dues !

Margaret Thatcher’s son Mark became a multi-millionaire during her rein as Prime Minister. There were accusations of misuse of priviledges afforded to the PM by her son to amass that or a part of thast wealth (estimated over $100 mn), and that the PM would have been aware of. They both lived happily ever after and, I cannot recall any official investigations in the UK to clarify those accusations. Mark T, I believe was banned from entering USA for allegedly assaulting his US residing wife. All those helicopter rides of Rajapakses don’t ammount to anything like $100mn, but there is no excuse for misuse public resources. Accusations of corruption in Sri Lanka seems just mud slinging, if not what are the Yahapalanaya advocates doing to bring the accused to account? Is Namal being targetted to pave the way for CBK’s son to be a future President?

“All those helicopter rides of Rajapakses don’t ammount to anything like $100mn,”

yes , it’s true all those heli rides won’t amount to $100 M , but actual corruption bill is estimated to be $5000 Million or more .

” Accusations of corruption in Sri Lanka seems just mud slinging,”

for MR lackeys and his stooges it’s mudslinging but for the rest of us it’s definitely corruption.

” if not what are the Yahapalanaya advocates doing to bring the accused to account?”

you mean MY3 also need to follow his predecessor’s king kakille type justice i.e draging General Fonseka on the ground like an animal and then locking him up for years , kicking Chief justice out in one night and then firing crackers & eating Kiribath in-front of her house !for your information , all the Mafia family members corruptions have been identified, subsequent actions will be taken at the right time , please bear with the Yahapalanaya ! Gota the goon knows what is in store for him ,thus he is mentally preparing for his rightful place , no amount of pseudo patriotism or LTTE or Diaspora will save him this time , there are enough evidence to prove his direct involvement in multiple crimes , so Lal please have some patience , your messiahs will be served.

“Is Namal being targetted to pave the way for CBK’s son to be a future President? “

CBK is a corrupt leader , no question about it , but we (6.2M) have forgiven her for rescuing SL from the mafia family , if Vimukthi wants to engage in politics , that’s his birth right as any other srilankan citizen , but on one condition though , he must start like every one else without abusing the state resources ,of course not like clown prince , we all know how he became an MP and a LOWYER , don’t we Lal ? clown price’s day dream of becoming SL leader has been shattered , as a matter of fact there are enough evidence piling up against this synthetic lowyer who will end up behind bars for a long time.

If CBK can be forgiven for her rorts why no MRt forgiven for his aslleged rorts? Afterall MR, GR saved the country by finishing off the Tamil Terrorists and showing the world the impotence of the so called Diaspora and their blood thirsty associates. For some their humiliating defeat is too much to bear. MR is untouchable, not in the Tamil caste sense but he is the hero who saved the nation and MY3, CBK and RW know that! No amount of dreaming and fast unto death on Hamburgers will change that. For some though they raise the corruption issue the real motive to punish MR is becuase of the Humiliating Defeat they recived in May 2009, engineered by MR. Get a life!

“Afterall MR, GR saved the country by finishing off the Tamil Terrorists and showing the world the impotence of the so called Diaspora and their blood thirsty associates.”

MR and GR saved the country? You must be living in cloud cuckoo land.

It was under Chandrika’s presidency Hindians persuaded to prepare all out war on LTTE and provided this island everything needed to obliterate VP and his men/women. MR and GR told international media without Hindian support they would not have won the war. You also forgot VP’s immense support to defeating LTTE from the day it was founded.

Both Diaspora as well as the Sri Lankan state have never been powerful enough to change the course of this island. Both have been the puppets of outside forces which pulled the strings time to time.

You should also be grateful to Solheim for trapping your sun god.

Sky earth differences between the abuses reported in CBK and MR’s terms. This much of corruption was the case in the terms of CBK, I have no doubt a man of MR nature would never stay wthout focus. Becuase the man is born revengeful person – who would do anything to destroy the rival of any kind. With to date from the vehicle pool to road construction projects – lot more info related to the high profile abuses are becoming clear interms of MR#s administration- them to behave further as if nothing matters is beyond all ethics and morals. When raising questions – like Thunmulle Wimale did it even yestrday, they make the current president responsible for the high bills left to be paid. They are shameless by all means. THunmulle Wimale should be kept in jail sessions by offeringhim rehablitation courses to become the man civlized person. Those men should be jailed mercilessly for all the abuses deliberately being carried out during the terms of MR.

              Lal,

what does this Mark Thatcher crook got to do with us Srilankans ? yes i know he had abused his mother’s official position to reach his ultimate goals and every body is aware of those facts , you want to bring those irrelevant isolated incidents to justify your heroes endless crimes ? don’t think so ! remember ,this is not about an individual member of his off springs or a sibling but the whole Mafia family , they were treating Srilanka as their own private property , of course there are enough two legged cattle in SL to dismiss any wrong doings just because they were benefited or blindly believing Mafia family got rid of LTTE terrorism , despite all the obstacles we the 6.2 M people stood up against the King kakille’s tyranny and sent a very clear message to the mafia family and it’s lackeys , that was enough is enough ! obviously , not only any of the Mafia family members are employable but also born crooks , they know the value of politics and it’s a gold mind for them , there is no bloody way that Mafia family members going to give up politics , in fact Gota the goon is planing to start his career in politics , big mistake , he doesn’t know majority of SLFP politicians hate his sheer arrogance and stupidity ! as i said earlier , this is not about just one person , it’s about the whole family and their boot lickers , what Mafia family has done to SriLanka is beyond our imaginations , they have destroyed economy , rule of law , Buddhism , culture , education , political culture , all the ethics you name it , had he won the 2015 Election , James packer would be thriving with his casinos , Drug barons would flock to Srilanka and make Colombo as the transit capital for mega deals , Chinese would get the upper hand in all SL domestic and international affairs (not to mention that port city gross betrayal ) , Ethanol , prostitution all go hand in hand with them , Sajin Vas , Duminda , Mervin , Muthuhettigama, Rohitha A , Mahinadanada A , Johnston , Julampitiye A, Vidanapathirana like undesirable characters would be the prominent figures in his inner circle. oh, almost forgot , what about our diplomatic service ? where is that Udayanga Weeratunga Geezer today ? may be it’s a western conspiracy with diaspora’s backing , right Lal ?

PS: Today is the New years day , tell you what , we can turn on to any TV channel and enjoy our traditional ” Avurud ” without being subject to torture of mandatory “Madamulana Carlton Nari Nataka “

You cant compare few single abuses reported from the UK with those of thaousands of malpractices carried out by MR and his thugs. It is like making comparsons between apples and organes. WHatever MR regime did in the second terms was connected with millions of frauds. All these will be coming light iwth the time. All the investigations being carried out currently will leave due reports soon. People of this country are well aware of all these.

Alone the manner a man who got elected by people s vote to fall the silly prediction of so call royal astrologers is more than a joke to locals and others looking at the way MR handled his rule. How come the man to have all energies to elieminate terror with this kind of knowledge is the most critical question that many would raise today.
Having listend to Royal Astrologers silly answers recently made to ITN I myself reminded road side Ahinkuntika people keep coming to door to door during my childhood begging for some funds for survivial. These men have no background but is set to abuse poor peple that struggle with their lives. As Sannasgala made it very clear such predication based on probablities could mostly kill the energies of some individuals since people within one communtiy are totally diverse.

How does Namal, Shiranthi, Wimal, Dayasiri and Susil get to use helicopters and Air-force planes for their personal use? HOW? get them all and nail y them shame them jail them…along with others who abused power… then go for an elections..do NOT give nominations to such losers….

My uttermost wish is those Meehrakas that voted for Rajapakshe last election be realized the gravity of the harm deliberately done by Rajanos. These people should finally grasp the gravity of the harm – not to face this much of further being manipulated or hallozinated for their survival. Had they the people been adequately informed through village level awareness programs, logically not many would have respected them anymore. But as Mervin Silva makes it clear today, their killers and cuprits are still there to do the job for Mahinda Rajapakshe. He is a born criminal but pretends his true colours. Even today we the masses far from his real nature.

As President of the country MR had every right to use the facility for state related purposes and for security reasons but not for his own propaganda.
As for the others, unless they were accompanying the President on his state
visit within SL, they all have to pay their dues to SLAF.
Therefore, since the SLAF has log of all movements send the bill to them with
a warning that payment has to be made within 14 days or confiscate their belongings of value to recover the monies.
There is no point in blowing the trumpet and make this a huge issue.

    • 8
      0

Yes- Instead of all this fuss, why is the airforce reluctant to send the bills to them. I am ordinary citizen and I do not how to compel these people to pay the bill. I think as the head of the forces, President can direct the SLAF to request those who used the services topay the bills.
Even Weliamuna’s report reported mass scale misuse of funds. Apart from the big frauds which needs action in the courts, others could be solved by sending the bills for payment.

      • 8

Time to charge the commander of SLAF for nepotism, failing to implement the correct rules of procedure when providing SLAF services to non-entitled personnel, and for failure to send bills to recover the costs to respective individuals and for failing to pursue these debtors. Finally for keeping mum about illegal orders from Rajapaksha.

Namal R has used the state Air Force planes as his own. Was it because his father was the Prez? Even then an MP has no right to use as his own property.
As a so called Lowyer ( not qualified to hold the title of a Lawyer). Should have known the rule of Law that who can use the aircraft and who cannot.
He an imbecile should know better. All to do with the jungle upbringing in the Banana Republic.
He and his family never thought the change was imminent in the political scenario
. God is Great and taught them a good lesson.
It proves nothing is permanent even with the help of a devil worship.
Even after donating millions of Gold as said in the Media to Temples in and out of SL.
Can we BRIBE GOD with gold and cash?
Never in a million years. Modayas from Medamulana got cheated in a big way by the mighty god.

No wonder why the Joker want to return to Parliament, but those who want him to return, should get their heads examined. Suggest they are given a free ride by the CTB to the Mental Hospital Angoda and if they get too crowded, may be the Mattala Airport should be converted to a Asylum to house the Political Lunatics to save others.

This is all part of the total abuse of power by MR, his family and close friends. We agree MR as President enjoyed this facility but not the family. Why can’t the Air Force now claim the charges?
Under MR rule onl, all the rogues can thrive and that is the very important reason some of these guys like Wimal want MR back in the saddle. They think they can bribe God’s with different kind of poojas and offerings.

So we are told to take the example of the west to combat corruption. When President Obama was campaigning for his second term he used the Air Force One for his travels around the country, and we did not see his campaign managers and the first family taking the metro, the local transit, or the Grey Hound Bus to destinations either..so I don’t understand what the problem here is, it is corruption when done in a developing country, it is the norm in the west, how confusing!!

The Rajapaksa Royal family never even in their dreams thought they will lose the election. Rajapaksa used the resources of the state without blinking his eyes. The absence of any criticism within his own party and with a servile and domesticated press he thought he will romp home to victory. That is the real reason he went to the polls 2 years ahead of schedule. His political greediness and his authoritarian style of governance (I know everything and I know what is best for the people) ended in his political defeat. The Board of Inquiry that conducted inquiry about Srilanka Airways whose Chairman was Rajapaksa’s brother in law Nishantha Wickramasinghe is stinking to high heavens! It is a scathing report indicting Nishantha Wickramasinghe’s mismanagement of the scandal driven Srilanka Airways. Wickramasignghe has rented 3 houses close to the airport for “other purposes” paying millions of rupees as rent. One house was rented for Rs.450,000 a month! Mahinda Rajapaksa should hung his head in utter shame and never venture out of his house.

I remember, Mr. Wimal Weerawansa, referring to these helicopter rides, once said, all that usage was arranged by the UPFA on election related work. So as done by the CTB, why the SLAF cannot calculate the payments due and send it to the UPFA and or the individuals who requisitioned such services to demand payment? The normal procedure in collecting dues in arrears can be followed with dead line for payment and informing failure would result in legal action for recovery. Now the “Publicity Stunts” must STOP and meaningful steps must be taken to recover the dues. That, Authorities must understand, is LEGITIMATE and people want it happen.

Douglas – SLAF should calculate what is due to them (should have done it by now and if not, they are not doing their job properly) and send the bill to UFPA , General secretary with a copy to the election commissioner, with a warning that if the dues are not paid on or before a specific date, the election commissioner will be requested to ban the
parliamentarians contesting under UFPA ticket for non payment. Then we could see the money rushing in from Seyselles, Ukraine or similar countries where the party money is kept. Don’t you think this a better idea as in democracy, all matters pertaining to administration, including joy rides by air, of the country is first discussed at party level, and the secretary will be in the know, before the proposals are brought to the Parliament and an individual like the president should not be held totally responsible for the sins done during his or her regime.

I was told that when MaRa was a student at Thurstan he used to lead a whole bunch of his friends at Thurstan during the Big-Match to the Muslim Hotel in front of Thurstan and run-up a huge bill for meals and then march-out without paying!

He has continued in the same style when he became the Head of State!

Although no one should be surprised, it is always a shock to see such abuse of power, and the misuse of public property. It seems when it comes to integrity and honesty the Rajapaksas had none. They lived like royalty, but at the expense of the Sri Lankan people. They seem to have no scruples nor thought they should be answerable to anyone. They acted like they were above the law, bled the country dry, and thought they were entitled to all.

They are the scum of Sri Lanka, and should be made to pay back every cent. They should be taken to court and held responsible for their crimes. The Sri Lankan people deserve that.

Nimmi – The media and editors of leading news papers were silenced and mushroom outlets sprung up with the help of the then regime and people were given false reports on purpose.

We should blame ourselves, the voters. Instead of being gullible, the people should be alert, to day to day activities of the govt.in power and the present govt. has given the people an opening to do that and
presume the future generations in Sri Lanka will vote for the right
      party and right candidate.

When a Govt.in power is corrupted, what they do is, burden the citizens
with heavy taxes,or start communal and racial tensions among various communities or create a temporary shortages of commodities like Rice,
Dhal ,Onions or Petrol used by the consumers to distract the attention of the people from looking into working of the govt. and people are clueless when it comes to election time as to, who deserves the vote.

Why should the public pay??? The Public didn’t sanction this. The ministers and officials liable for this violation must pay. They have made enough of money illegally (that too from us) so I don’t see any valid reason for the public to come-up with the money.

People like MR and that pint sized hypocrite Wimal have the blood audacity to say that people are unable celebrate new year.

The public must protest against this!!!!!!

It is the bounden duty of the government to give more publicity for this.Mouth to mouth publicity is just not enough.

Can anyone update on the status of the inquiry done by weliamuna on Srilankan airlines? Is there any investigation going on? Questioning the culprits who live luxury lives from our tax money? Can someone please update?

Is all this publicity of the misdeeds of MR and his family mere political propaganda as some are wont to say now? Why doesn’t the Government send a letter of demand to MR asking him to pay back the moneys misused? If he doesn’t pay up then action should be instituted in the courts for their recovery. Ministers like officials are not allowed to misuse State funds for private purposes.
The President cant claim immunity now. Nor can he cite the approval of the Cabinet for his actions. In the case against former President CBK regarding the Waters Edge case she was found guilty and her pleas of Cabinet approval was rejected by the Supreme Court

“Is all this publicity of the misdeeds of MR and his family mere political propaganda as some are wont to say now?”

of-course it’s , what’s wrong with it ? every possible publicity must be given to all of his abusive actions , getting them to pay is secondary , don’t forget MR is only defeated on 8 th Jan , MR and his 100 s of cronies still planning to come back and and haunt us.

    RMB,

The Rajapakses are a ping-adi family. Remember Namal R lead that project to stage the Bollywood mega Project, the IIFF (Indian Int’l
Film Festival)in Colombo. He forced and got rooms in 5-star hotels,
inaugurated a luxury bus service from Katunayake airport to the
Fort Railway Station, used the assets of the Tourist Board etc. etc.
The entire project was a dismal and costly flop. I am told he cared too hoots to pay for all the expenses.

That is apparently the way the Rajapakses bring up their children, Thomians, if you insist. If you touch them (Rajapakses) with a Court warrant the entire Buddhist priest-hood and the country will rise against the move.

The Rajapakses ran Sri Lanka the way that old Mugabe did to empty the coffers and the attractive living standards of that once prosperous and bustling African country – Zimbabwe. Eventually, in many small hotels, Zim dollars were used for toilet paper.

” If you touch them (Rajapakses) with a Court warrant the entire Buddhist priest-hood and the country will rise against the move.”

That is the impression MR and his cronies want to portray , remember that strong woman jayalalitha’s case , she was convicted and jailed for far less crimes than these mafia family members crimes , still she was ousted and barred from entering in to active politics for 10 years , MY3 has the full executive presidential powers and no one to dare challenge him , MY3 must use his executive powers to stop country being dragged in to chaos by the mafia family.Glad that 5 of the rogues have been kicked out from the central committee thus others will think twice before they utter nonsense again.

My gut feelings say , once the election is over , the whole mafia family would be spending the behind bars (better halves as well )

It is all because significant masses are made to believe Rajapakshes are real buddhists- practising buddhists the way looking at the manner the buggers kissed the bo tree and gave Dana and Dansalas for larger masses but by wasting POOR PEOPLES funds.
What was not known to the people is – that Rajapakshes has violated ADINNADANA WERAMANEESIKKA PADAM again and again.
He has been behaving like a living god – as some most cunning politicians of the world would do – but in the same time being on the mode of looting to the gravity – as no lanken did it sofar.
Today the billions on the bills are the prima facie evidence if the man and co. are going to be investigated. However this particular foolish nation – being away from the realities would go into pieces if anything would do against them. Knowing that and considering all the other harms could be the reality – the current rulers are very cautious of all these while going against them. Tha is being abused by Rajapakshe even today – showing up in media as if he has been taking a rest but setting all the underground work led by Buruwanse to get forward.
Having listened to a recent dialogue given to Hiru TV by former close allies of Rajano – Mervin De Silva from Kelaniya – I though dont want to take everything what comes from his cesspit- knowing the man#s behaviour well – but I feel some of them are really true- Rajapakshe was not backward to do anything harmful agendas – knowning that they need various personalities to consolidate their powers. At the time Sirasa was damaged by Mervin respecting his job assigned to him – he openly said in the interview that the order was given to him by COUNTRY s leader to go and demolish the place since Mangalas men are still at work in that media institution. THis is the reality. Anyways, majority masses have been that stupid – them to further support Raja clans is more than pathetic I would say.

“………Meanwhile Namal Rajapaksa had used the flights on 25 occasions without making any kind of payment up to this date and travelled to various locations……….” . Why should he have? He was the first son! with his uncle virtually owning the air space and the aircrafts. He and his brothers were free to hold races in their “toy luxury cars” on the highways that virtually belonged to the first family. Who could question them?. With the roads closed the workers and peasants could not come anywhere near when these young members of the family were indulging, which was their prerogative. After all who took the trouble to build these roads with Chinese aid? Bensen

If the Nation thanks one person for bringing this to a halt, it is Rev. Gnanasara of the BBS. His near perfect work, put our Muslim Brothers and Sisters in Check and threatened the Bible Packing Christians, for their turn was next.

Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe has been
speaking from every pulpit – public meetings,
trade chambers, parliamentary meetings etc –
that there should be evidence to try people
    who are doing wrong.

He even cited the case of Field Marshal Sarath
Fonseka who was arrested by the previous regime
    on reportedly trumped up charges.

However, when Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi
arrived in Parliament, it was Ranil Wickremesinghe
who held Namal Rajapaksa’s had and dragged him to
be introduced to Modi. RW is paying back what MR
did for him. That is why there have been NOT ONE
single arrest of a person from the MR family or
those near and dear to him. Attorney General
Yuvanjan Wijetilleke has been directed to refer any
arrest of persons to Ranil Wickremesinghe the
    Yahapalana Prime Minister

Here is an open and shut case. How did those who
were not authorised to use state owned Sri Lanka
Air Force Aircraft do so and not pay.

Gothabaya Rajapaksa, the former Defence Secretary
and shark lover, was the Chief Accounting Officer
of that Ministry. All one needs to do is ask him
    and charge him.

THIS WILL NEVER EVER HAPPEN. NOT UNTIL RANIL
    WICKREMESINGHE IS PRIME MINISTER.

Michael Peiris – You missed something. Sagala
Ratnayake is a bosom pal of Ranil Wickremesinghe.
He is also very good friend of Gothabaya
    Rajapaksa.

So he is influencing Ranil not to do anything.
Others in the mafia are Tilak Marapone and
Wijayadasa Rajapaksa. That is how the Avante
    Garde case has been suppressed.

Ranil, as Colombo Telegraph revealed, prevented
    the arrest of Gothabaya.

Namal Rajapaksa, according to the Weliamuna
report, received the “services” of an air
hostess to “work” for him. This was after
    Lalith Weeratunga, President Secretary wrote
in his own handwriting to Sri Lankan Airlines
    Chairman.

The national carrier provided the fun. The
national Air Force gave him free rides.

The family enjoyed everything free and fleeced
    the country. Nishantha Wickremesinghe had
a “brand Ambassador” to re brand him. At
seventy six years he was so much in love. His
sister Shiranthi Rajapaksa could not go
by car from Ratmalana to Maharagama. She
needed an Mi-17 helicopter to travel just
    five kilometres.

Yoshitha received Rs 21 million in taxpayer’s
money to learn in foreign naval colleges. He
did not have the qualifications to join
the Navy as Sub Lieutenant. CT reported
    this

Basil the rogue is avoiding coming to Sri
Lanka. He will be in remand if he comes.
That is if Ranil Wickremasingha does not
    interfere.

    This is YAHAPALANAYA.
