      Prime Minister,

So, you still want to appoint committees?

Appoint Sarath Fonseka, let him loose on the old crooks and new crooks, sit and watch, and save your skin. That way, Sirisena could be made to fade away, with no chance to be president again in 2020.

Is it the latest joke on the People?

UNP State Minister Range Bandara today said a no-faith motion would be brought against the party leadership with the support of other UNP MPs, if the party leadership was not changed.

He said this while addressing a news briefing in Puttalam today.

“A number of MPs are ready for this move,” he said.

        Prime Minister,

Through the Bulath vine, Vettila vine, Grape vine….

Though the entire country is demanding that the law and order ministry be entrusted to Field Marshal Sarath Fonseka , and even the prime minister had suggested that , yet because president Sirisena who is now desperately begging and cringing with a 4 % had decided against that most welcome move . By this it has been proved , although the president is making loud announcements and pronouncements that he would even go to hell ( himself an infernal being from hell) to trap the crooks , it is a well and widely known fact he is having underhand deals with the very crooks and the corrupt whilst protecting them. Consequently , the law and order ministry had been accepted by the P.M. at today’s cabinet reshuffle.

It is crystal clear , the notorious Sirisena now best noted for his venal proclivities and clandestine traitorous activities , feared to hand over the law and order ministry to the Field Marshal who won a 30 years old war against a most dangerous terrorist outfit , not only because the Field Marshal would effectively and efficiently round up all the crooks, corrupt and cronies of the Rajapakse clan who are bosom pals of the president , but also because the family of the president has made monumental robbery and corruption their own favorite occupation too with president’s patronage………………………………..

Biggest joke would be R.W. AKA Mr. clean would be to appoint his buddy Mahendran and his pretty boy S-I-L to head a committee to look in to what happen to bond scam who would be better suited to investigate a theft better then the thieves. Way the Sri Lanka the “Corruption Miracle of of Asia” is tuning for the last 15 years don’t lough could happen..

Hahahah….. so where is the committee for punishing bank robbers? Mr Foot Note Ajith Perera in some committees discussing how to spring the two bank robbers in jail hospital? PM scared to appoint SF to Chair any committees, in case he might find the PM and the gang leaders culpable to the mega bond scam? We live in the cloud cuckoo land …………….

      thrishu:
Stop jabbering about punishing any one when you cannot define what laws were broken. To be a robbery there has to be a loss. How much was lost and how did you come-up with it. Are you talking about real, or imagined opportunity loss or your just smoking something strong.

      Now this is a loss:
“Defence Gotabaya Rajapaksa and seven others to be postponed to the 26th of March. The case was filed against the group by the CIABOC for incurring a loss of 11.4 billion rupees to the government by allowing Avant Garde Maritime Services Company to illegally operate a floating armoury.”
There was demand for service, Sri Lanka had a naval force that could have provided that service, revenue lost could be calculated using the revenue made by Avant Grade and adding the payroll back as the navy would not have required that. Why was this outsourced? Who got enriched by it.

There was insider dealing as suggested and looks true. That is an issue and neeeds action .

Can you explain how the loss for a 30 year bond was calculated.

How did arrive at the applicable interest rate.

At the last auction the ST bonds rates are on the rise with 7 years average at 10.35 and the cut off not announced . Which could mean that the. Cut off was higher .

Bond investment is based on the attraction that may be there in the secondary market. Then why was selling in the secondary market a crime .

Minister of Law and Order, Ranil Wickremesinghe,

Fine appoint a slew of committees for the next 2 weeks, and at the end appoint Field Marshall Sarath Fonseka.

He is the man for the job. After all, he was the man for VP and LTTE problem, and he delivered.

Now he is the man for the old crooks, old killers and new crooks problem.

That is your last straw until UNP is washed out in 2020.

Make it happen mad move on! The crooks and killers will be peeing in their pants.

Then he can be the President in 2020. No more Horapaksas and political appeasers.

Dr Ranil’s Foot Note boy Ajith is going to expedite the Trial of Aloysious.
No wonder Aloysious and Plisena both went to court yesterday asking for Bail.
Dr Dentist has a big big File at the Bribery Commission.
Special Bribery Girl whom Dr Ranil appointed soon after the Yahapalanaya kicked in some how made it disappear, according to the Media.
Wonder whether Dr Ranil has already cancelled his old Royal mate’s Mahendran’s Red Card.
    Who is this Swaminathan?……..

      Gods know but they’re helpless.

Gods are like teachers, they punish only those who can be taken into the right track.

Others are let doing any damn thing so we see there’re every type of culprit at large so resort not to gods & find solution through law.

It must be judiciary that confirm rogues, not culprits, may be like you & me.

Which committee has been tasked with ordering the “cake” to celebrate RW’s 40 years of “WINNING” politics? I suggest the committee get a master baker to layer the cake with $hit and DUNG frosting to commemorate RW’s political accomplishments!!! If the UNP does not get rid of this barnacle, the party will be worse off than the SLFP.

In this uni. who are the Dean, VC and Chancellor? Are their trained graduate personnel or even students in training? Even SAITM is well structured with Dean, VC, Registrar, CEO and excellent staff and legally selected and approved students under a governing financial structure. Students are now getting aggressive as they have had gross injustice poured out on them all along the way. Even criminals are allowed to defend themselves but not the gagged SAITM students.

The Bribery and Corruption Committee is a joke with Rajitha in it.
There is a plethora of cases filed against Rajitha Senaratne at the Commission to Investigate Allegations of Bribery and Corruption (CIABO). How could someone like him be in a Committee of Bribery and Corruption to expedite cases. In all fairness, the first to look into by the Committee should be the cases against Rajitha.
Why do we need to set up a separate University for Criminal Justice? A degree programme (for Criminology & Criminal Justice) could easily be started in one of the existing universities. Don’t waste money where it is not necessary.

This is typical of RW. Probe by committees for two years and time for Presidential and Parliamentary Elections. Nothing done. Now I see that there is a committee to tackle bribery when there is supposed to be an independent commission to tackle that. Take the case of local government at praddeshiya sabha level. I am informed that a chairman of a PS received a few years ago only Rs 15000/- as an allowance whereas at that time a CEO of a very small company got about Rs 200,000/-. So the PS chairman has to live on “Tenders”. RW looks for Singapore and if he read Lee Kuan Yew, the root cause of the problem is inadequate compensation. MAN! Take practical steps now. Preparing nicely bound reports is neither here nor there now. YOU HAVE HARDLY ANY TIME.

Committees are appointed as a ruse to avoid the issue and to buy time. In this case however buying time only accelarates the final outcome. It was Pieter Keuneman who made the classic observation on Committees. He said “Appointing a Committtee to look into anything is like going to the toilet. First there is a sitting, then there is a report, and then the matter is dropped”!! RW should know this.

    Dear PM

Now we hear that all the so called pundits are not happy in you party. Why don’t you make all the MPs in your party and the SLFP ministers! – But with one condition. They should bring one corrupt case per month and solve it than sitting on their bums.

Lets see whether they take up the challenge. Also I’m sure you or someone else has the files of these MPs. Why not dangle these files in front of them to keep us all in peace?

Please just consider. Ask Anura Kumara for files or Sajith on how his father dealt with dissent.

Yes every politician in our country has a file & kept by the leadership. Unfortunately no one uses them. We the voter also know the record of these politicians. Still we vote for them
Good example of this is the outcome of the recently concluded elections. Even at local govt. level we didn’t want to try a new force and give them a chance to prove themselves.
And after 30 years of destructive war what we woke up to today? More racial strife. This is all someone didn’t go to sleep after the Jan 8th 2015 elections. Because he knows how to protect his billions.

We always are quick to criticize, find fault with and see the shallow depths of decisions announced by the “Top Player”, who could be for example, PM, President, Minister etc.; but in actual fact and reality, have we ever addressed our minds to find out who are the “Prompters”; the “Advisers” – the “Purohithas” acting in the “Back Rooms”. There are an ARMIES of such persons handsomely looked after by the people of this country in varying capacities and they are considered to be the “Academics”; “Intellectuals” (some are even IMPORTED) who “Advise”. “Guide” and “Direct” their Bosses in decision making. But when the decisions are announced, the common man finds easily the stupidity of the very many decisions made. One such example is this “Appointment of Committees” and selection of persons to handle the subjects. Just a case in point here is the appointment of the Minister Rajitha Senaratne. What is the PUBLIC PERCEPTION of this Minister and what standing he possess in handling matters of “Corruption and Bribery”? Isn’t he still due to be investigated by the Bribery Commission on a complaint still in file form? So hasn’t any of those “PUROHITHAYAS”(some IMPORTED ) advised the PM on making such a decision to appoint a Minister like that to a Committee. What a CIRCUS of “Actors” and “Clowns” we have, who suck the hard earned tax payers money? The people have to BEGIN to seriously look at this MAFIA operation that plays a major role in DECISION MAKING process.

Mahendran is absconding. What has RW to say? He is the one who brought Mahendran to Sri Lanka. When the opposition protested against the appointment of a foreigner to be in charge of the nation’s finances, RW said in Parliament that Mahendran was taking steps to obtain Sri Lanka citizenship. RW however has done nothing thereafter to ensure that. It all points to complicity between RW and Mahendran.Even the Bond Commission permitted RW to be treated leniently. Why. All citizens are equal before the law. This Great Bank Robbery should be fully investigated and there should be special laws created to deal with offenders from RW downwards. Up to now Horasena has not been implicated, but who knows?

once again the bugger is trying his usual delaying tactics by appointing committees with his stooges none of the younger lot are included
if he had reintroduced felix dias ‘s administration of criminal justice law all this nonsense could have been avoided
did he do it , no . why because he was shielding the rajapaksas with his kolla
he has proved to be the biggest conner of them all

any way nothing he does matters as he has ruined his party’s future prospects and the country will continue in a nona gathe period for the next 2 years

The only committee that will now be relevant is one to inquire into the REAL REASON for the TOTAL USELESSNESS of those that have been appointed.
Perhaps, another committee could be one to ascertain why this set of arrogant buffoons believes every Sri Lankan is a village idiot.

    25th Dream of King Kosala:
KK: Machan Puro, I had this dream last night and I thought it is better to summon you because I find that I am more at ease with you.
Purohitha: At the rate you are dreaming dreams O’King, we may have to appoint a committee to look in to them. Anyway, please go ahead.
KK: I saw about 4 dozen bulls in some sort of farm. The farm owner assigned cows to each bull. Some were given one cow and others many cows. The objective was for the bulls to mate with the cows and produce calves and then milk. 2 years went by and still no calves or milk were produced. Instead they produced heaps and heaps of Bull Shit. The farmer got upset and decided to reassign the cows to different bulls – you know do a sort of cow swapping. This was still going on when I woke up in the middle of it. I could have continued dreaming, but then, I could not stand the stench of the BS. What do you think, Puro? Would the swapping produce the expected milk? What does this dream portend for the Kosala Desha? Are we going to have a shortage of milk?

Puro: You have nothing to worry about O’King. This is not about us but about Lankadveepa 2500 years from now. The swapping is not going to help although it makes a nice change for the bulls. Unless they change the whole herd of bulls and get new stud bulls, there will be no milk – only bull shit. In fact I am sure replacing these stupid bulls with donkeys may produce better results.

You need to start somewhere ,Miracles cannot happen in a nation that has been indulging in all sort of misdeeds by members of all political parties and not to forget members of all communities.

But what matters as per my opinion is ,will you Mr.PM and Mr.President dare to really change the constitutional mechanism which has been the main obstacle for the nation’s progress for the last 70 years?

Will you both dare to have a truly public body with executive powers to oversee and correct any government that comes to power ,even if it means the present one is re-elected ?

Will you have a Ministry of interior where the Police can work independently upholding their self respect..?

Sincerely hoping to see changes, it is understandable for a nation that has been battling many issues with an outdated constitution that never had any suitable provisions to deal with peoples grievance for 70 years.
You both have two years ,not to create miracles or prove anything ,but to keep doing whatever you can, the way you both know the best .
What matters is at the end of your terms if all you both done brings the best results ,then all the accusations made against The both of you and your members will not matter .

But if you can not produce the results the best you can ,then ,even if anyone endorses whatever you both did were right ,will not change the public opinion.

    Quote:
“If I were to try to read, much less answer, all the attacks made on me, this shop might as well be closed for any other business. I do the very best I know how – the very best I can; and I mean to keep doing so until the end. If the end brings me out all right, what’s said against me won’t amount to anything. If the end brings me out wrong, ten angels swearing I was right would make no difference.”

This is the tested way to buy time. These committees can easily go through this year. We have enough and more examples to quote from Rajapaksa era. Can any sane person will accept that ousted Minister of Law and order will dig his own grave by exposing the reasons for failure during his tenure. Enough is enough Prime Minister,.without going in circles and beating about the bush, strengthen the already set up commissions give them a free hand without giving them phone calls to the opposite as you two leaders have done in the past, instead give them an ultimatum to conclude and put an end to this hypocrisy. If you can discipline and rid our country of this stinking political culture and impunity enjoyed by politicians of all hue and cry you may be able to regain your lost prestige and retire with dignity otherwise you may be thrown into the forgotten Limbo. This might well be your last chance. I am not a prophet of doom, but this is the talk of the town. You may forget about converting others , but do not allow the UNP caucus to be perverted. That is the least you can do to preserve the Grand old Party. We pray that you will be blessed with wisdom and courage to bring our county towards a civilised society by laying the foundation for a just society.
