They were wanted in connection with the protest held outside the Homagama courts on January 27, following the court order to remand Bodu Bala Sena General Secretary Galagoda Atte Gnanasara

Anyone who breaks the law, causes problems, and disobeys our law enforcement officers, should be held accountable, and face the same punishment. No representative of the clergy, of any religion, should think they are above the law, therefore they should be given the same treatment as other criminals, and made into an example for others who may behave like lawless goons.
