Sajith Premadasa Behind Yāla Protest: Is Yahapālana Minister Pushing To Scrap Environmental Laws?

Colombo Telegraph is now in a position to reveal that Minister Sajith Premadasa, a senior member of the yahapalanaya government and the Deputy Leader of the United National Party, is behind the protest launched by Yala Safari drivers demanding unhindered access to the wildlife park.

Sajith

The protest took place after measures by the Wildlife authorities to limit the number of jeeps entering into the national park, home to some of most endangered animals in the country.

The authorities said only 100 jeeps would be allowed in the morning and another 100 would be allowed in the evening.

Before the new regulation was introduced, over 500 jeeps approached the Yala national park, on a daily basis, sometimes causing traffic jams in the jungle.

Many environmentalists stressed the need for strict regulations to limit the number of vehicles entering into the park, as it would pose a serious threat to flora and fauna.

The Safari jeep owners, who are now demanding the government to scrap the new environmental regulations on Yala, held a meeting with Premadasa on Sunday Night.

When the demonstration commenced on Monday morning, a group of Premadasa supporters were also among the protesters.

Preamadasa, a regular face at the Yala National Park, is known to be a strong supporter of the Safari jeep owners in the area.

Premadasa has come under serious flak with wildlife enthusiasts on several occasions for flouting the laws of the national park and obstructing the path of other wildlife enthusiasts, during his famous Safari sessions.

A wildlife enthusiast alleged on Facebook that the UNP Minister, on one occasion, had parked his vehicle in a manner that obstructed other enthusiasts from passing by and had also opened his sunroof while taking pictures, in violation off Yala National Park law. (By Uthpala Elikewala)

RE: Sajith Premadasa Behind Yāla Protest: Is Yahapālana Minister Pushing To Scrap Environmental Laws?

The Paras, the Para-Sinhala, the Para-Tamils, the Pata-Muslims and the other other Paras have been destroying Environment ever since they landed illegally, in the Land of Native Veddah Aetthho, to destroy the pristine land.

Isn’t this a continuation of the process, get loans from the Chines, and be soaked to the eyeballs with debt, such as with the Mattala Airport, Hambantota Harbor and the Colombo Port City?

Philippines Vice President warns of China debt trap, cites SL

Philippines Vice President Leni Robredo said she feared Philippines might get stuck in a debt trap like the one experienced by Sri Lanka if they borrowed loans from China, Philippines media reported.

      http://www.dailymirror.lk/article/Philippines-Vice-President-warns-of-China-debt-trap-cites-SL-138945.html

According to BBC.com, Sri Lanka had relied so heavily on loans, mostly from China, that 95 percent of all government revenues now go to debt repayment alone.

Many of the projects funded by Chinese loans turned out to be non-profitable, according to the BBC.com report.

I’m curious about a couple of things
        1) You say Para-Tamil but Pata-Muslims. What’s the Pata?
        2) Why didn’t you quote and refer the article about lankans having low IQ? I assumed that’s a standard footnote. Or is just an impulsive copy-paste procedure.

        Curious ,timid reader

          Kinita , and Richard,

“Pata?” is a typo, it should have been Para, and it was next to t on my keyboard, as I have thick fingers.

Para, is shortened form of Para-deshi, foreigner, stranger. The All are foreigners, strangers, in the Land of Native Veddah Aethho, who came by illegal boatas hora-oru, kalla-thonis.

The PROBLEM the Paras have in the Land of Native Veddah Aethho, is that despite overwhelming evidence, the Paras from India, do not want to accept that they are Paras, and will not leave for their homeland, India, South India, Bengal, Bihar, Orissa etc., because of their Chronicles.( It is just like the Wahhabi-Salafis who wants Sharia “Law” and treat women like chattel and slaves.).

The Catholic church had a problem with the Earth rotating on its own axos, and orbiting the Sun, as well.

Now, why are the Paras from India should get back to their Para-Homeland, India, Bengal, Bihar, Kalinga, Orissa. Andra-Pradesh, South India, Tamil Nadu, Kerala Nadu etc.

Of course, the Paras have low average IQs, 79. Not only have they environmentally destroyed the pristine Land of the Native Veddah Aethho, they have been at each others throats for quite some time, and committing untold atrocities, in the name of their Para-beliefs.

            Richard and Alfred Grero,

You two combined have not read even a fraction of the books read and understood by Amarasiri.

That is the core problem. of the Paras. At least why not read this short genetics paper that clearly sows that the Paras are indeed Paras in the Land of Native Veddh Aethho.

About the low IQ of 79, very little could be done. Will have to wait for evolution takes its own evolutionary time.

          Abeygundu,

“Get yourself checked up asap for you seem to be in bad shape.”

ALL the Paras in the Land of Native Veddah Aethho should get themselves checked and check in at India, their Para-Homeland, India, Maha Bararathaya, Damba-Diva, and other Para Homelands, and leave the Land.

Through a comparison with the mtDNA HVS-1 and part of HVS-2 of Indian database, both Tamils and Sinhalese clusters were affiliated with Indian subcontinent populations than Vedda people who are believed to be the native population of the island of Sri Lanka.

This is Sri lankan politics and the leadership. Pick some crap and fight for it. that is the vision of those who intend to be future leaders. Father picked it up Gamudawa from Lalith Athulath mudali., now he is continuing it. For that alone, he wants to be the president.

Rajiv, Not only him, his Piyano also did not do any kind of job, even that of a labourer, in his life time. But he had enough money to buy an estate in early eighties. Of course, his Manio did do a job in an ice cream parlour, in the early sixties, at the Dematagoda junction, along the road leading to Maradana. It was during one of carefree ease rendezvous, that senior Premadasa put a kukul act at Hemawathie, that everything started.

Sajith, was hunting for artefacts that he took a liking to watch wild life. In those days if one were to make a booking for a wild life bungalow at Udawalawe or Yala, the officials say all occupied by Sajith and his side kicks.

Recently he was responsible for the resignation of the Director General of Wild Life Conservation, after the official refused to accede to an unacceptable request regarding granting permission to certain Safari jeep owners. That old codger, Minister Jayawickrema Perera then ordered the Game Ranger to apologize to Sajith. He refused. But when pressure was mounting on him he resigned. Jayawickrema Perera is one of the few old codgers who iare not suitable to do a peon’s job even in that Ministry let along be the Minister.

Some of the writers transgress the bounds of decency to bring about caste, humble life beginnings of late Mr. Premadasa, of course in a tongue in cheek manner. This should be avoided in a modern decent world where caste, creed and religion have no place. There are great people like Mahathma Gandhi, Dr. Abdul Kalaam and PM Narendra Modi who came from very humble, poor families. Lets be more civil in our comments.

“The authorities said only 100 jeeps would be allowed in the morning and another 100 would be allowed in the evening.”

It is a great decision, I think everyone has to support it. The jeep drivers are seem to be a bunch of Drunkard Ruffians and the way they drive and disturb natural habitat is not acceptable. No one can enjoy visiting Yala any longer.

The readers must stick to the subject on “Yala safari Jeeps” and not bring vulgar remarks about Politicians of Sri Lanka. We all know all Politicians are corrupt and sustained by a totally corrupt, Economic, Political , Judicial, Financial and Social System.

This lunatic Amarisiri does not seem to know the difference between Yala and the Phillipines/China
    which he is referring.
It is a great move to restrict the number of vehicles entering the park. This practice has been adopted in almost all Indian wildlife parks with great success for the past 5 years.
I still recall when Premadasa was in power the Son Sajith used to violate all park rules including
ordering the cutting of a branch of a tree in the Buttuwa plains which obstructed the view where a Leopard used to frequent for him to get better photo.
From that day the leopard has never been seen on this tree.
Even in recent times he is notorious for violating park rules which led to the Director general of
    wild life relinquishing his post.

    Naga!
Did Premadasa senior behave like a man with bumble a beginning, to treat him so. So is his son Sajith. They obviousely have forgotten their past. How on earth did they get their monies if they did not have any inheritance from their parents at all, if not by robbing. Just look at Wimal Weerawansa alias Weerasangili Pannikkiyalage Wimalasena. Why is he behaving like what he did a couple of days back? That is because his pedigree is not up to the standard. He will take another two or three generations to come to the accepted level of decency. I have with me now which I was able to fish out from thousands like that the newspaper report by Piyumi Fonseka appearing in the Daily Mirror of June 9, 2016, with the heading WHY DID WILD LIFE DEPARTMENT CHIEF RESIGNED? It say inter- alia that he resigned as an act of protest at pressure being exerted on the Yala Warden Suranga Ratnayake to apologise to Sajith for arresting some of Premadasa’s supporters who had killed a leopard and producing the culprits before the Magistrate. The old codger Minister Jayawikrema Perera find fault with the officer for not producing the leopard killers first with the Police. In fact the wild life employees protected at its head office for political interference.

Without you “para” and IQ let’s talk Premadasa the fellow as a kid came to Yala and was too adventurous always. I remember Tissamaharama ASP carrying his cooking GAS cylinder when he visits, another time he cut a branch of a tree to take a better glimpse and a shot of a leopard. When his father visits the Yala new Buththuwa bungalow a gun boat from Trinco comes to guard him from the sea front. A generator truck comes all the way to give power with those powerful flash lights all over around the bungalow. So this is Premadasa for you. Leopards will not change their spots, the dumb masses funded by Sirasa is pushing the name to the top. But will never be the leader of UNP or any other party. Nothing against you or your family but karma has to take its own path. Then and now power is misused by these guys and we keep watching
