Former Sri Lankan skipper Kumar Sangakkara was awarded as Cricketer of the year by Wisden Cricketers’ Almanack. A gentleman on and off the field, the 34-year-old lefty has 105 test caps along with 10,472 ODI runs. He has scored 2002 runs in last calender year in every format of cricket. Besides of leading his team in the World Cup final, Sangakkara created a huge impression by his speech at MCC Spirit of Cricket Lecture in remembrance of Colin Cowdrey.
