President Maithripala Sirisena has issued a gazette extraordinaire bringing the Department of Government Printing under the Ministry of Defence, held by him.
The move was made as Sirisena was preparing for the dissolution of Parliament following his failure to draw the support a Parliamentary majority for his fake Prime Minister Mahinda Rajapaksa.
Sirisena, this morning, issued another gazette bringing the Department of Police under the purview of the Ministry of Defence.
The Department of Police previously remained under the Ministry of Law and Order , held by a Minister other than the President.
