Sirisena Now Says Easter Bombings Informed At 10.00 AM Amidst Singapore Shenanigans: More Questions To Malalgoda Commission

President Sirisena, in a defensive and self- glorifying speech at the parliament stated that he was informed of the Easter Sunday attacks at 10.00 AM. As Singapore current time is two and half hours ahead Sri Lanka time, 10.00 AM Singapore time would mean that it was 7.30 AM Sri Lanka time. The synchronised suicide bombings that claimed over 250 lives occurred between 8.30 to 9.00 AM Sri Lanka time.

“Fundamentally, on 21st April when this incident occurred as known to all, I was criticized for being overseas. Whilst I was in Singapore, on 21st of April at 10.00 AM it was reported to me. I thought about this incident at this time, and I was shaken and pained. I wondered how this happened. It was not possible to understand in the first instance that an international terrorist organisation was involved,” the President said last night.

“I got to know about the incident at 10.00 AM whilst in Singapore. At about 12.00 PM, a friend of mine who was with me showed me a letter issued by a DIG that was shared on social media. When I saw that letter I thought that the security forces have known about this incident beforehand,” Sirisena told parliament.

“If the President meant 10.00 AM Singapore time, then it confirms that the President cum Commander In Chief of our republic was informed of the attacks good one hour ahead of the bombings. Alternatively, if he meant 10.00 AM Sri Lanka time then he was informed of this national emergency a good two and a half hours after the incident. Both these scenarios are equally disturbing. The first possibility shows callous and criminal negligence of duty and the second, a dangerous breakdown of communication,” our source at the Ministry of Defence who wishes to remain anonymous for obvious reasons told Colombo Telegraph.

“President’s speech today can be a game changer for the Malalgoda Commission appointed to look in to the security and administrative failures connected to this terror attack. As done by the Bond Scam Commission, the phone recordings of those concerned should be scrutinised. They must be used to establish if the impending attack was informed to the President. Phone recording of calls between the President and DIG Jayawardhane should be analysed, Further, gate logs of the Presidential Secretariat and the President’s residence should also be scrutinised to confirm the encounters between the two. The minutes and log entries of meetings that occurred prior to the bombings, between the President and DIG Jayawardhane, should be perused,” our source further stated.

The Sunday Times Political Column of 05th May reported that at a meeting with an opposition delegation which comprised of Mahinda Rajapaksa, Basil Rajapaksa, G.L. Peiris, Mahindananda Aluthgamage and Dullas Alahapperuma (SLPP), Dinesh Gunawardena (Mahajana Eksath Peramuna), Wimal Weerawansa (National Freedom Front), Vasudeva Nanayakkara (Democratic Left Front), Udaya Gammanpila (Pivithuru Hela Urumaya) and Tissa Vitharana (Lanka Sama Samaja Party), President Sirisena rubbished Colombo Telegraph’s exclusive report that he was pre-warned thrice about these bombings. Interestingly none of the MPs of the opposition present had made any comment discrediting Colombo Telegraph.

The Sunday Times said: “In high security circles, serious concerns have been raised over a turf war that is going on particularly within the State Intelligence Service (SIS). It is the premier national intelligence agency. As reported earlier, a plethora of so-called “intelligence reports” warning against actions by Sri Lankan pro-ISIS terror groups were released to the social media. Then came reports saying that the SIS Director DIG Nilantha Jayawardena had a meeting with President Sirisena to personally brief him on the threats – a claim strongly denied by Sirisena. Now, tape-recorded mobile phone conversations have been selectively leaked, raising the all-important question whether elements within were endangering national security interests, whilst engaged in a game of pointing the finger at the highest levels of the government. In the process, they are also baring the fact that mobile phones are also being snooped on with new equipment. One need hardly say this is an extremely dangerous situation. The question is whether this would also be ignored much the same way intelligence warnings were.

The matter transpired at the discussion President Sirisena had with leaders of the Opposition parties. He named the person behind one English website operating from London and declared they had reported that he received a personal warning from SIS Chief DIG Nilantha Jayawardena. This so-called exclusive account, the President claimed, was a fabrication. A loquacious UNF minister also made reference to the claim at a news conference on Tuesday saying it was true, but added the remarks were off-the-record.  Yet, what he said has been tape recorded by many who attended the event.”

A President’s Counsel commenting to Colombo Telegraph on the condition of anonymity stated “analyse carefully the content and the body language during the President’s speech. They only reinforce his track record as a pathological liar. Day by day he has been changing the story about his involvement in the failure to protect the security of the nation. He took great care not to respond to a single allegation levelled against him about being aware of the impending threat of the bombings. Unlike other politicians implicated, he ensured not to even mention that ‘he was not informed of this threat’. That omission was not by chance. It was deliberate avoidance of blame and questions from the opposition. He purposively avoided mentioning whether he meant 10.00 AM Singapore time or Sri Lanka time. His speech was cunningly crafted to wriggle out of responsibility”

“This story has more loopholes than the obvious bungle ups. Sirisena left the country with his family to Thirupathi to obtain the blessings for his Son Daham’s impending wedding. He left his family in Thrupathi and travelled alone to Singapore. What was the purpose his lone holiday to Singapore? Whom did he meet? What was he avoiding? What was the important thing or person at Singapore end that made Sirisena completely neglect the thrice warned national security issue?,” a Foreign Ministry source asked.

“Is Sirisena attempting to absolve his sins by getting an interim report issued by Justice Malalgoda that resulted in punishing the former defence secretary and the IGP? They were innocent people who were slain while praying their God. The role of the Malalgoda commission, therefore, borders on the divine. The integrity of the members of the commission are hanging in the balance. Over two hundred and fifty death are on one side of the balance. We are closely watching Justice Malalgoda and the two other gentlemen to see what their legacy would be. Will they do justice to 250 perished souls and their ever grieving families? Will they do justice by the citizens who are demanding justice? Will they do a job that would allow them to sleep in peace at night?,” These are the questions that the Malalgoda Commission should answer, the President’s Counsel said.

Why cant some one in Sri Lanka file a case against this foolish Gamaya for violation of the constitution by keeping the Law and Order department under him. Of course Ranil has no back bones . This man could be taken before the International courts for keeping the intelligence reports without taking any action and lies to prove that he was not aware of anything. Innocent baby!!. Find out how much he collected in Singapore. Please keep in mind that The Constitutional Council has appointed another Mohan Peiris to tne Courts.

This & the previous article only revealed how President had lied but both fell short of explaining why the president went a vacation if had a knowledge of impending terrorist attack on or before 21 st of Apr. I think that the reason is the failure by his Intel chief SDIG Nilanatha Jayawardena to confirm the very detailed tip came from Indian intelligence on 4th of Apr. I strongly believe that Nilantha informed the president of the tip on the very same day and that president ordered him an investigation to verify the tip. It appears that Nilantha took a nearly a week to investigate and then met the President on 11th to inform him that he couldn’t confirm the tip. President may have taken the word of his trusted intel chief and continued on his planned tip probably after telling him to be on the look.

Why and how did this massive security failure occurred is the most important question, I think. There are many explanations varying from president’s decision to rely on one trusted person (Nilantha) for security matters by prioritizing his personal safety over national security to Nilantha’s incompetence. Whatever the surrounding reasons, one fact is very clear: Nilantha has failed massively to have an efficient intelligence network beyond what president thought was important.

I think RW is over decent allowing the kind of idiots ruin this nation. Also a great failure.
Knowing these crooks would do anything to be on good books, Ranil sleeps further…. not thinking twice has tarnished his image now.
Alone doing nothing against culprits also a greater mistake. But we should be clear lanken constitution allows nothing goes to against the elected president even if he would rape you on broad day light. So the mistake lies on the SELECTION and ELECTION of this ballige putha SIRISENA to be our head of state.

      My dear friends,
today I listened to General Sarath Fonseka’s speech following President’s yestreday speech in Parliament. I also listened to Dr Amunugamas statements that were beyond all bearing.
      .
There good and war veteran, Fonseka as the real war hero if we may name him as such, made it very clear that it is no easy as President evasively made y day positive statemetns about the threats we face today. If over 100 of potential extremists, suicide men are roaming across the country, yet today, so the situation is threatening.
      :
General is the only person I can trust in lanken politics, right at the moment, has no whatsoever reservations, but went on saying that he would never join hand again with Gotabaya or Rajaapakshes at all – even if some rumours are in the air enriching that General is back with Rajaapskehs.
      :
All in all, we realised it the picture drawn by President in the parliament was an eyewash. The greater threat is still there as the people would not be able to be away from unncessary anxities.

I think we the people in and out of THE ISLAND SHOULD come forward to support General fonseka in order to save our country. There should not be party barriers, here, we should stand by him. What do you guys make of this ? Do we have any other options ?
We have been pushed on to a situation ” all or not” today by this lunatic president, that knows nothing but to dream of his EXTENSION…. he may well be extend his tenure under 6 feet rather than achieving an another mandate in next ELECTION.

Fully agree with the comment of Bunjappu. We too listened to the statement of F.M/SF made in the House today. All that he said is the stark truth. According to him, the country is in a perilous state. All should look sharp in their day to day activities taking maximum precautionary measures!!!

He looks as if he is about to deliver a child in a month or so. Sadly, the father should be Mahinda Rajapakshe.
This man betrayed us the voters numbering to 6.2 mio, and joined hand with RAJAKASHE ruined almost everything the manner he started it. Had he been clever, things would have developed for the benefit of the masses in this country. No, he thought his extension, above nation’s grievances or pledges made to them prior to getting elected. This is the style of so called democracies in asia. In the past only we had good leaders, but since for such a long time, the fact that voters are manipulated, cant emerge any good leaders. Wimal weerawanse or the like uneducated men got polarised curse to electronic media, yet today, the very same media stay mum, neglecting the need of the hour – which is proper awarness of the rank and file.

      .
I have no doubt the man is suffering from UNKNOWN kind of ” maandama – mal-nutrition”. The etiology of his health probs will reveal it to the world – it is just psychological. His inferiority complex, being rotten in a well for ages, makes him no a good leader.
      .
Telling something in formulate high sinhala, bu tdoing the other way around has been the nature of this man – from the day one. So was his rapist – Mahinda Rajapakshes for ages. These men would never see it right, .. nor would they ever become normal… to be able to serve this NATION that is hallozinated by Rajapakshe mantra through their DERANA and HIRU TV channels.
      :
He starts his speech ” wandaniiya, puujanieeya maha sanagarathnayen..etc, but BP Sirisena does not respect anyone except his family”.
      .
BP Rajaakshe is to have raped this man over the years; AS NO REMEDY IN THE WORLD COULD EASILY HELP HIM REHAB: , before becoming the COMMON candidate of front built against Rajapakshe in 2014.

Hey Guys, we are a so called literate nation which is the highest according to statistics. But the leader of the country is provable stupid person. Not just for the first time, but entire world became aware by his 52-day constitutional drama which he mastered in last october 2018. There even far poor afro nations called President of SLANKA should be the silliest ever person to have been elected by a democracy. Let s keeping our democratic traditions aside, but a man with average knowledge would have done the maximum to protect own people in a pre-stated warning by intelligence, unfortunatley, this lunatic never took it to his hearts , instead, by wasting it further the tax payers funds travelled to Singapore. Not saying a word as to why the bugger should have travelled there. These men should have a brain the size of a mustard seed, let alone, to feel it the we the average in and out of the country feel towards the very innocient prayers ended their life to the very same manner, not leaving their rests so that identifacation would have been easier for numbers, the kind of detonations killed former President Premadasa few decades ago. The nation was not new to the bombings nevertheless, where lives could have been saved from being caught by bombs should have been done so, according to any ones general thinking, but this bugger never did his job to the top, nor did he allow his cabinet to be alert as required during his absence in the country. What a BP whose whereabouts proves very much to say why the bugger behaves say. There is a big gap between the educated and this man, so the inferiority complex being grown in the mindset of bugger, let it to happen no matter, the lives would have been part of the nation.

        Rationalist,

What amazed me most after I had negotiated the rare and tantalisingly worded thoughts of Rarity Minds, was that 14 bloggers had actually understood them and wholeheartedly endorsed them.

Apparently, there’s a lingua franca out there that I’m not versed in.

        Yes, you are right.
May well be our literacy rate is much higher even comparably that of an europoean country, but their political literacy is very low. That is it. Our people mix it up on and on.

      • 0
        0

Literacy in Sri Lanka is defined by the ability to read and write one’s name. In other countries it may have a more credible connotation. See https://www.quora.com/How-do-we-you-measure-literacy

The problem for us is our inflated ego…. we boast a 91% literacy, and a ranking of 113 in the world, curiously ahead of the USA, which says a lot, whichever way you look at it. Our ego might be dented a bit if we were to consider our average national IQ, which is 79, translating to a ranking of 28 out of 43.

This unfortunate mix of bogus literacy measure and shameful national IQ makes us ripe for exploitation by despicable and unscrupulous politicians, whose only goal is to get elected and then screw the country until death halts their insatiable greed. This exploitation has resulted in an entrenched frog-in-the-well persistence that the Sinhala language and උරුමය must be protected at any cost, even by driving away those who cannot make proficiency in the lingo (which no one doubts has happened), and see the result we have today, on display for all the world to see.

Finally, not that he is my hero, but LKY of Singapore had the right idea, didn’t he in how to govern? : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1KDjjXUx9bY

To be able to see this LUNATIC appearing before the very same nation is more than a pain to me and masses.
No matter, any pre-warnings had been passed, but his stupidity did not leave room to prepare the responsible from being bombed and taken the lives of the innocient prayers. Today, he makes every effort to justify calling ” the kind of attacks” would have been everywhere also on rich soils. But not stressing a single word to see his HUGE failures. Yes, to me, his silliest behaviour became clearer during that 52-day COUP statements by which he himself made him the utter fool/laughing stock to the world – but enjoying the politicial masturbation, as a tribal leader would have done.

    • 7
      0

Yes .. to see him appearing before the very same nation, shamelessly, is a greater pain, which may have no medication.
      :
But SRILANKENS are familiar with such pains. This time, it has become to all exaggeringy levels. This man begged to become the president, but acted going beyond the red line, as if a headless chicken would do. I am squeezed by shame – not being able to call me SINHALAya.. .. I hide my head being able to see it further. If I would have been there, I could also sacrifice myself, if these lunatics would have left this island.

Why is he allowed to refuse the appointment of Field Marshal Sarath Fonseka as defense minister Why is the majority party in Parliament silent now before and always? there is a three way fight between KAru and Ranil. KAru wants to be the presidential candidate. NGOs like if MS give into Ranil and becomes the common candidate. Ranil thinks, the International community would help him, and he wants to be the common candidate. Maithripala sirisena s tried to tried to talk to Arjun Mahendran. within the hour bombs went off. Some Wahabis were in a hurry to explode and they were walking around every church in the neighbour hood in Batti which one is the best. Handler, never would give the whole set of information to his recruited people. One is briefed only with respect to what he/she has to do. So, after the event, every one thinks “I expected it but I did not expect something that sinister”.

Why did Sira go to Singapore, Did he do a Bandula mama act while checking on his investments.
Why did Sira hold all these ministries if he can’t do his job, this idiotic puppet is on Maras strings…
There’s lot of venomous racist speeches going on public media, social media , brainwashing our youth and nothing is being done rather than going behind the innocent citizens.
We should pray that he won’t bungle it up to make it another July 83…

is the President clever enough to convert Singapore time to Sri Lankan time instantaneously
ie he was informed 12.30 pme Singapore time and he was clever enough to convert to 10 am Sri Lanka time.

even if it was 10 am Sri Lanka time …why was he informed so late…after the incident?
this does not tally with the time Ranil was informed (much earlier when he summoned the head of three forces but they refused instead reportedly contacted the President?

if he was informed 10 am Singapore time and 7.30 am Sri Lanka time ….why was he as he says “I was shaken and pained.”…..as the bombings havent happened yet

he is digging himself in to deep shit

Me, the very instant, it happened, got the news with video on WhatsApp. It went wield and viral over the world, and in an instant, our forks, living all over the world started to call us to check as to what’s happening in the country. It’s very silly of him to defend him selves of it, when all and sundries knew it, the very instant it happened.

Sirisena has proved beyond doubt that he is incompetent, a blatant & shameless liar & a self serving yob, in fact, totally out of his depth as President. He, his family & cronies, are all detrimental to the country & a burden to the tax payers of SL. Yet, despite his increasing unpopularity, it has not been possible to impeach him & he even seems to be hopeful of another term. How thick can he be or is it the masses of SL who are willing to put up with self serving politicians? How long can SL suffer in the hands of these thieving, useless, yobs?

President Sirisena gives new meaning to the expression “Sinhalaya Modaya.” All Sinhalayas are not modayas of course, as many of them are demonstrably bright. It is just that there is a strain of Sinhalese who are outstandingly stupid. The genetics of the Sinhala people are very complex as they are the product of so many different races. Sirisena has inherited the worst traits of all the different races, both from his mother’s side and his father’s side.

    • 9
      1

I don’t think that it is Sirisena give new meaning to the expression “Sinhalaya Modaya”. Almost all Sinhala political leadership including JR Jeyawardana, Mahinda Rajapakse and Ranil Wickremasinghe undoubtedly think that every Sinhalaya is Modaya. They all cheated Sinhala people and became powerful and richest when the whole country suffer from economic, social and cultural degradation, continued violence, hatred against each other. In fact, Srilanka should be a delveloped nation in Asia but we are not. Why? Sinhala people have to think themselves to find the truth about their political leadership. What benefit Sinhalese had by oppressing people in the name of religion, caste, and language? Will Sinhalese able to produce a political leader from an ordinary Sinhala Family? if No, Why? Look at, Our country is ruled by (Don Spater) Senanayaka, (Solomom Dias Richard) Bandaranayaka, (Percey Mahendra) Rajapakse. All of them are Christian Indian origin nayaka families.

MS in an interview with foreign press , when asked about accountability he answered with a masked face ” US and French leaders did not resign after ISIS attack so I will not resign”. What an answer ????? He also promised to wipe out ISIS before coming ELECTIONS.(note the wording). Currently elections are the mile stone to address ISIS threats. Army and Police chiefs say all who participated have been accounted for and advised the public to go about with their daily life without apprehension. Ranil says we have to be vigilant and keep our eyes open for any threats in future. Last two sounds reasonable, But Gotha says give me the power so that I will eradicate ISIS. Can someone let him know that it is been taken care. Country like no other.

He is a Joker and a Liar. If he took responsibility of too many defense departments he should have made arrangements to see that he was informed hourly though email or Whats App or other commutation link every hour . The incident is related to the security of the country. He was 100% at fault and like all politicians put the blame on IGP and defense secretary . If he wanted to enjoy his second honeymoon in Singapore let him say so .Ge is disgrace to the country and those who voted for him If he stays in power he will do more damage to the country . What action has he taken against the Eastern province governor and the minster of Trade . This leads to suspicion that he had a hand on the Terrorist attack. Please check his Bank account PM too is responsible for the lapse. Mahinda created the crisis to come back to power . The voters are idiots

Is it not time to go after Money Laundering ?

Whatever The cash that was recovered from official bank accounts could be a huge diversion and may not amount for anything.

Sri Lanka became top of the list in Money laundering.
Its obvious that there are some groups with certain freedom and political influence or power who were involved in money laundering.

Money laundering is the main tool of terrorism .
Today its almost impossible to engage
in money laundering unless you have some political connection.

You need to do investigation on money laundering ,its the main arm that need to be broken

Yes we have all these so called Buddhist universities, pirivenas, holy temples and all manner of priests and monks, but Buddhism has been perverted.
Can any of our so called educated buddhist truly say that they are above recism or hatred?
We have lost all buddhist values and gone back to savagery.
See how christians behaved in the worst attack targeted on them. They used the teaching of non-violance in practice. Do you think there is one Buddhist in Sri Lanka who has that mind set?
See how we are all using this to unleash our primal instinct of sadism and savagery to further oppress the minorities.
At this time we should be looking at specifics like what was the explosive in the bombs, how did it reach Sri Lanka, where are the detonators coming from, who supplied them, where does the technology of the devices come from and and and…
Then take decisive action to cut off any further possibility of a repeat.
We should track and stop this specific group and its associates instead of shitting over all muslims just to satisfy our barbaric desires.
This just shows me how messed up our so called majority buddhist mind set is.

IF the present Terrorism act does not allow to act on Terrorists wait for the new national security legislation. PResident will not act at all and never. Only the CIA can send Muslims from arab countries to torture and question in Sri lanka, Larer we find they are innocent and when they go back they send real terrorist to blow sri lanka and PResident has to wait silently as the Legislation says Let the NGO human right businessman watch whether the terrorist is being harassed and human rights are violated. Anyway, Pbomb blasts were timed with the landing of President in Singapore,. So, the Information from arjun Mahendran about the bomb scam is again to the history.
Intelligence news had come to Pujitha Jayasundara and Hemasiri fErnando. Itis possible Ranil stopped it spreading to key people so that PResident did not know what was happening. Even the bond scam, NCM vote buying are all like that.
I think people may have been sent, probably during the Batalanda torture chambers which NGO dollar kaakkas know but do not talk, for extra ordinary rendition. those were CIA needs.

It is not the fault of Narisise. It is all the fault of the people who selected him as the Presidential candidate.

We can write and write expressing our dissatisfaction about Sirisena and his dastardly behaviour and
utterly irresponsible action as a moronic President, till the cows come home, but he will go on like the
proverbial boy who stood on the burning deck, and do as he pleases. Like the October debacle, ONLY a court of law will remove his stubborn murderous presence from the post of President. Nothing else will suffice. What he did in Singapore, why he went there alone, what time he was told of the catastrophe that befell Sri Lanka, how many blatant lies he utters, who told him what, seems immaterial . . His thick skin and mental brain power will not have any effect on him that 256 innocent lives were lost, and over 500 citizens were badly injured due to his ghoulish, moronic, selfish, idiotic, diabolic, inaction.

Yes some have alluded to, he has put some weight up since he became HE, why not when you enjoy the peaks and benefits afforded to his job.

Sadly, HE doesn’t seem to have even the slightest remorse as to what had happened under his leadership, such a naïve and self-centered person. 250+ killed in the day light, solely because of someone’s reckless nature of running the defense establishment. First question would have been that who had been acting in his position while went on pilgrimage to some viharas in India, and then to Singapore. If no one was acting, does he believe in remote operation?. As is, all pointing to nothing less than a criminal negligence.

Apart from loss of lives, what we understand now is empty flights arriving SL, sudden drop in the tourists arrival. Plainly, our HE is a liability, this on top the cost associated with the govt shut down in Oct 18 due to the stand-off created by his stupidity. Enough is enough.

        Hi genius JD,

When you say terrorists were preparing for far more serious explosions all over the island, I understood you know more about these activities than most of the readers of this article do, including me. My comment is based on only on this report, and a president’s responsibility in terms of protecting its citizen. Leave aside your political affiliation and don’t get tensed, just see the loss of lives the colossal loss of income generated by tourism industry. I don’t care whether it were RW or MS or MR flaws, someone should be held responsible, but when HE himself says he knew there was an attack by 10AM, what can you make out of it JD. Don’t trying to equate two wrongs, I am sick and tired that sort of analogy. Leave USA, and other country, they don’t give hoot about our country, and most its citizen don’t know where SL is.

I am not saying President is not at fault. But compare with Mighty USA which had CIA all over the world, All the money, A police state where FBI is always watching, yet they could not stop the 9/11. Sri lanka is not like that. Ranil, at one time gave LTTE the information to kill Intelligence people in colombo. this time he jailed them saying they worked on their own. Ranil’s people also arrested and remanded one Sailor who was studying the Islamic terrorist network preparation for attacks. I say, PResident was set up.
LTTE had Terrorists trained in India, LEbanon and Israel. Yet, Ranil says, the new National Security legislation is essential because that allows foreign train terrorists to be caught. Bull$hit.
I say the attack was timed to avoid any discussions on bond scam when he was in singapore. If not, Srilanka would have had a far more severe blow up. Terrorists were preparing for far more serious explosions and all over the island. Even the attack on Catholic churches may be a sudden decision. because the Handler said blow today.

We don’t have to waste our time penning words. SIRA KNEW and so did BOND WICKS. But both of them did not know that the impact of the blasts would be terrible, surpassing the victim rate per LTTE suicide bombing. In the hindsight it was Hemasiri who told the truth. What is important is that the average Sri Lankan behaved very responsibly during the peak of the crisis.

This could especially be the case if Sri Lanka was secretly approached by the US and/or India to join the “Indo-Pacific” concept shortly after its disastrous terrorist attacks in exchange for so-called “anti-terrorist” assistance. Sri Lanka remembers India’s support for the LTTE terrorist group, and while the pro-Indian liberals seemingly don’t care, the rising pro-sovereignty conservatives obviously do and would therefore be opposed to joining the “Indo-Pacific” concept in principle in order to preserve their country’s sovereignty and avoiding voluntarily turning it into an Indian vassal state that would certainly be abused by its new patron. This isn’t mere speculation either since Ambassador Dayan Jayatilleka is a close ally of former President Rajapaksa.
Dayan Jathilake or the Writer who talked to Dayan Jayathilake give A CLUE about why Maithripala sirisena and Ranil kept quiet. the Writer says, NATO or India may have asked Sri lanka to join the INDO-PACIFIC concept. Sri lanka did not do that Remember HArsha De Silva screaming here about going to some Indo-pacific Security conference zadn we must buy fight jets, submariens, Air crAft carrers, REMOTE SENSING SYSTEMS to fight chinese and ISIS, Drug Peddlers etc., WE GET THE CLUE THAT NATO WAS UPSET WITH SRILANKA.
ANOTHER REASON TO BLOW up – A concept against the Eurasian cooperation headed by Russia and china.
