Sirisena Openly Attacks Human Rights Activists: Signals Approval For Extra-Judicial Killings

President Maithripala Sirisena openly attacked Human Rights activists today for standing in the way of the law enforcement process.

“A country cannot be disciplined if we follow what the Human Rights activists preach. If that is the case, we should hand everything, including the government and the law enforcement system to the human rights activists and wash our hands off, ” Sirisena said addressing a Police diploma presentation event.

“Especially, when dealing with the underworld, the Police have to take certain actions, ” Sirisena said signaling he had no issue with extra-judicial killings.

Ironically, in the same speech, Sirisena explained how he was nearly killed by the Police during the 1971 uprising to which he had no real connection. Sirisena said a Police officer forced him to draw the map of an army camp at gun point and used it to imprison him on fabricated charges.

“I wrote for my Advanced Level examination while in prison, ” Sirisena added.

The Sri Lankan President, last week, drew condemnation from the civilized world when he publicly lauded Philippine Duterte’s “war” against drugs, during an official visit to the country.
Human Rights Watch, last year, stated that Duterte’s murderous “drug war” resulted in extra-judicial killings of tens of thousands of drug suspects.

In one of his speeches, Sirisena said, “Excellency, the war against crime and drugs carried out by you is an example to the whole world, and personally to me. Drug menace is rampant in my country and I feel that we should follow your footsteps to control this hazard.”

If you want to implement the Death Penalty Mr Sirisena you can do it.
Don’t play around the bush and blame Human Rights Organisations.
In reality it looks that you and your politicians are the very supporters of Drug smugglers because without them you cannot survive because you have nothing to dazzle the voters with.
Its a shame that a Arsehole like you is in power in a country that is blessed from North to South, East to West in abundance with natural resources.
Sri Lanka from independence was governed by Arseholes, with Arseholes for Arseholes.
Anyway the words ” Sinhalaya Modaya ” stands firmly with you and all who surround you.

Do you guys think that SPINELESS man would bring and implement gallow during his term ? Never, these are just ” misleading words” to please the very same grass eaters dominated audience.

A man who himself, u-turned covering the kin pins of extrajudicial killings to come with the kind of statements – are akin to hurt the festated wounds. But this man has no whatsoever feelings, whatever he drolls publicly. Now shamelessly, Sillysena is fallen to the lap of nation’s betrayers/murderers.

In this backdrop, It is high time Prez SORRYSENA himself to see his behaviour first, if his abusive circles would not show him the way. And there are whole lot of people, believe, he has no good advisers around. Those lawyers close to him are just jokers, well proved by recent SC verdict made on contitutional failures.
      :
And it is public secret, that SILLYSENA proved himself that he is the most stupid leader in ASIA, once again during his last week ‘s official visit paid to Philipines. Now again being out of the seas, visting SINGAPORE, he will repeat it there too.
      .
Not even his speech made before philiphine audience filled with various local and foreign representatives, he was able to perform as a talented leader who represents “not just his VULGAR family and circles coming from Polonaruwa” but entire SRILAKEN nation.

(Our criticism is based on ill-prepared performance of the speech – even if his deligation consisted of just LOW LIVEs, nevertheless he could make use of one of them as his INTERPRITER for his speech – President should not have skills in English, so long presidential forces appoint ” simultaneous interpreters” for his speeches ).

      Asoefatida

Every ass needs to portray himself/herself as tough as Hitler in order to win support, tough with criminals, tough with neighbours, though with opponents, tough with NGOs, tough with neoliberalism (whatever that maybe), tough with foreign culture (whatever that maybe), very tough with terrorists, very very very tough with minorities, .. except their friends, family and cronies,………..

I am told in the early 1970s Hopper Sirisena was even tough with MGR (South Indian Matinee Idol and Chief Minister) , and managed to have banned Cinemas showing MGR film in Polonnaruwa. He fought the LTTE in the last 3 weeks just before the end of the war. He is tough on Tamil detainees …………………

Well Sirisena has to be tough on everything that people consider decent, legal, ……….. just, ……… if he wants to remain in the seat for another few years.

I didnt understand what he said in sinhala …but it seems like boasting…

what struck me was all the paraphernalia.

there are LOTS OF PEOPLE WEARING IMPORTANT CLOTHES….and they look very uncomfortable wearing those “institutional dress code.IMPORTANT CLOTHES…”..they look as though it’s a burden…sort of I am not fit for this uniform….let me go through the motion…

      Rajash,
he went on saying how he was then treated by police at the time he as a pupil got caught by police. How police slapped on his ears etc just because rumours gotten by police about him was that he then worked for Cherguera.
      .
. Dont take anything comes out of his cesspit as serious because he has proved himself, whatever comes out of his cesspit these days are beyond excreta. No value at all. we would have been happier, if they were close to cowdung. Unfortunately not.
      :
He behaves TODAY as if the crabs put in hotwater. Credibility is lost to all depths as no other leader ever faced it. As that MP Hirunika reiterated, whatever SILLYSENA hears from Social Media are all loads of raw filth about him and his circles. He himself cut his neck and the consequences he has to bear somehow. Alone last weeks visit to Philiphines is HIGHLY criticsed by masses, amidst going through hardships as nation collecting every last cts to cover the HUGE debts, the bugger to ignore and please his men in such trips, is beyond all ethics and morals.
      ::
Just to mislead the VERY same audience again, he louded that he would never stop implementing the all last punishment if found guilty with drug trafficking. This he shares in the backdrop, according to him, all document files on convicted criminals are missing in responsible offices. If they are gone missing, if any good leader would do calling a report from those responsible departments or bodies, instead, just to leave public statements containing his SILLY promises are beyond bearing, today.
      :
He is known to be making statements but not MOVING an inch forward all along his administration. But well talented to grab anything resulted from PM’s peformance and get the credit for it. PM as usual, stays mum, since he knows no point of even talking about the huge mistakes being repeated by President SILLYsena.

No country is a real democracy until human rights activists are allowed to criticize and advice a country. No human rights abuses, no reasons for any international or local human rights activists to criticize. The guilty are afraid.

Here MS says that police made fabricated charges on him to put him in prison. This is why Tamils are saying that several innocent Tamils are in prison on false charges and not brought to trial.

That is common issue in SRILANKA right ?.
      :

Human right activits attacked Mahinda Rajapakse saying given them the political solution and talk to them Mahinda Rajapakse had 84% approval rate among voters. Human right activits attacked DUTERTE about killing DRUG CARTELs. but the voter approval rate was 88%. both the USA and UK criticized both duterte and Mahinda Rajapakse.
Now Aftger long time, Sri lankan arrested TWO AMERICANS AND ONE AFGHAN. How come they were operating in sri lanka without Immigration knowing, woithout CID or Sri lankan intelligence know and most probably some politicians should be aware of what is going on. DUTERTE also began eliminating when the expanded the drug business in phillipines. Everybody know that what Expat filipinos send to the Phillipines is going back by various ways via supermarket and buying western stuff. It is known Afghanisthan is a Origin point of Drug. Baharain is the western point for distribution and Sri lanka was or is going to be the eastern point and many politicians and higher officials are connected, probably they are paid lucratively.

RE: Sirisena Openly Attacks Human Rights Activists: Signals Approval For Extra-Judicial Killings.

Mahinda Rajapaksa has trained him well. After all, Mahinda Rajapaksa and cronies did that and nothing happened.

Furthermore, Sirisena carried out an Illegal and Unconstitutional coup, and so far nothing ha happened to the conspirators. The Parliament is nor impeaching or prosecuting Sirisena, and they want to keep the executive presidency of JT , the egomaniac, so that more madman can be president.

Mr. President: You accuse HR Activists . In like manner, we too accuse you of resorting to “ULTRA CONSTITUTIONAL” Conspiracies hatched in the night of 26th October 2018 in throwing out a Legitimate Government of the People and “Institution” of an “Illegal” Government along with an “Imported” PM. When compared that with “Extra Judicial Killings”, your action was in common parlance and in Judicial sphere, it is “TRAITOROUS”. Were it not for the JUDICIARY, we would not have anyone to turn to for redress; because even our “Custodian” of Law- the Attorney General argued in favor of your “Ultra Constitutional Conspiracy” in stating that those litigants had no cause to challenge your decision based on loss of Human Rights. But unfortunately the matter ended there, without these “Human Rights” activists going after the AG as provided in the 19th Amendment. All these UTTERANCES you are making since then, in village parlance are called “YANA GEE” – The utterances made prior to the “Last Breadth”. We cannot do anything other than to sympathize with you.

Douglas@It is unique to him, to put the blame always on the other. This SILLYSENA has been doing from the day one.
Recalling his answers, questioning as to why he failed yet to release ” the recommendations made by experts from Presidential commission on over 40 high profile crime investigations”, there even the very same SILLYSENA accused PM Wickramansinghe not to have taken the step. But including responsible authorities in that ministry are very clear, president himself does not allow them to be released since former President Rajaakshes and several other men of his previouis regime are heavily charged by those experts.
      :
But the shamless bugger, would repeat it as if PEOPLE would not get what he is going to share. This tricks are being played by him on and on.
      .
And the other example- albeit known to the public – I have to add here – the sudden dismissal of former CHIEF to FCID, by name Ms Dilrukshi Wikramasinghe. President accused her of having force personnel being remanded for some cases.
But, the LOCAL MEDIA never discussed the issues, since SILLYSENA biased SIRASA was given the authority to bury it in the carpet, as grass eaters dominated nation would never question on it twice.
      :
This damge, having STOOD on the way, not allowing right steps being taken against former high profile CRIMINALS, was then seen as a mistake by Prime miminster. All gods knows this BP SILLYSENA is the person to have blocked giving coverage to RAJAPAKSHE men.
      :
In the end, alone Rajapakshe be offered with FAKE premier, SILLYSENA revealed the nation, world, that SILLYSENA is a born cockcroach so nothing good can come from the bugger.

I prefer not to waste time or breadth on a SEVALAYA who is now a limpet. If he had self respect without talking gibberish he should have resigned after a seven bench judgment which pronounced the he had violated the CONSTITUTION.
He tasted luxury and wants another go clinging on to a man who he said would have put him six feet under if he lost.
All are lining their pockets and weeping buckets for the poor and life goes.
Today we have another celebration in style catered by SHANGRI LA of course and air force delivering as the Sevalaya also will be there

NArcotics costs a lot to the govt. Because of that the people who give Tips, Police Squads who catches narcotics shipments etc., should be rewarded.
One day Maithripala Sirisena was thiking in his free time. He wanted to some of the work of DURERTE. So, he thpught who shoukld be taken to the GALLA – FACE TO be shot. Mahinda Rajapakse and Kudu DIMU DIMU Jayarathne came into mind. As soon as that happened it came to mind and he was talking “Ane Deyyanae, Okanam katawath ahenda epa. Mama Hithwa vitharai” (God Natha). Another difficult to answer question Why Ranil never talks about the DRUG problem. Why the Minister for Cancertheraphy never talk about the HEalth problem caused by NArcotics. ANSWER: They all have singed for consignments which come through the Customs.

So President Sirisena went to the Philippines to see first hand how a leader violates human rights and gets away with it. Not only that he endorses these actions. Sri Lankans should be vigilant about politicians like Sirisena who openly promote human rights violations.

This is no big news folks:

State sponsored Mass human rights violations have been going on since 1971.

So the 2500 year old civilization rolls on with or without human rights.

    Move on with authoritarianism!

Yes, I must hold myself responsible for the disaster that must inexorably fall upon our nation if this lunatic is going to have his way for another year. I voted him in.
    .
The ironies are many. I’m sure that all that he relates must be true. Even as we conclude that he is no longer in his senses, I’m sure that he underwent all these agonies.
    .
I can’t help but be fascinated by this man. He probably sincerely feels that he has to go through with these extra-judicial killings – now of Drug Dealers (but never of Ranaviruvas?). He knows himself that those policemen, Retired Senior DIG, Ekanayake, and then Sub Inspector Samarawickrema had fabricated some totally false evidence. Related with great clarity. He had to write “Police Post” or whatever in his fist, and then they would centre the words into a map, and use it to justify the execution of this innocent boy.
    .
I don’t doubt that he sincerely feels that he has to emulate Duterte of the Phillippines. I’ve spent the night reading up about that country of which we know so little. Of how a very good man, McKinley, as President of the USA, began American Colonialism, and accepted his own assassination so heroically that he must be accorded sainthood. Can’t Sirisena also see that he is now asking to be assassinated? Together with the horrible drug dealers (let’s start with Duminda de Silva – convicted for the “minor offence” of murder, but we know he was a Drug Lord).
    .
I wanted a normal quiet life for all Sri Lankans. It is not to be. The Histories of all countries are replete with horrendous killings. Are we going to top them all in the abuses of Human Rights?

    Way to go My3.

You started your Presidential journey with the “Hopper stab in the back” by Ditching MR. Then it was the turn of RW to face your Betrayal. Now, you have gone on the Offensive against the Human Rights Activists who Fully Backed you in your journey to the Presidential House. Now, you have No More Friends to antagonise. You are well on track to kiss Good Bye to your 2nd Term Dream.

Second term? That was never anything more than a dream which he began to dream about a year ago.
      .
He solemnly promised not to contest a second term. For me, the situation was that up to a year ago, had there been legitimate grounds for his contesting again to be considered to be of paramount importance, I may have voted for him. Now, no way, he can persuade me to vote for him, tragic figure as he may be.
      .
For four years gone, now he goes around like the Queen (was it she, In Through the Looking Glass?) saying “off with his head” about almost everyone he sees.

This I told you once, there you were asking me not to use the term ” uneducated” when refering the kind of personalities, since you then thought SILLYSENA is well aware of his speeches before the masses. Do you guys ever think that SIRISENA and his office staff are not well equipped so that he has to behave so silly ? A way before such official visits, leaders and their crews prepare not to make any kind of mistakes, since such state visits of leaders are crucial to hold the relationships between countries. Just after watching the way Prez Sillysena (intentionally typing here), held his speech last week before Philipine crowd, I became ashamed as no time before. Is SRILANKA s standards are fallen that low ? Why should Prez Sillysena represent his STANDARDs as that of entire srilanken folks ?
        .
No matter all ended up beneath all acceptance, but he will hold the same style speech in SINGAPORE today. Why cant he hold the speech in sinhala language while a simultaneous interpreter COULD produce the interpreation. Why not the presidential/external affairs men stay as if KIRIMATI GILAPU kimbulas not having stood by the president in his preparations ?

          Dear Rarityminds,
          .
I agree. This has now become extreme tragi-comedy. I’m still trying to persuade myself that this man no longer resembles the guy I voted for, four years ago. But I just can’t go through with such thinking with any conviction. I’m striving desperately to save my own self-respect. Confessed by me!
          .
You ask why not speech in Sinhala with simultaneous translation? Common sense to be sure. But if he had sense of any sort would he have visited a Philippines ruled by Duterte. I give up.
          .
There’s more footage given here by Desperate Sinhalaya / January 19, 2019:

Human rights are best protected by adhering to the law of a country, not by listening to a set of instigators coming in the guise of human rights protectors.

If the available provisions in the law aren’t sufficient steps must be taken to strengthen law.

As far as this subject “drug dealing” is concerned, it’s the ugliest & most abusive way of collecting wealth for individuals & different groups with different intentions.

So anybody involve in drug dealing should be considered as non-human & dealt with maximum punishment as they’re even below animal standards.

So those appear for their protection should also be considered non-human.

Everything to Sirisena is a menace. First he talked about the sugar menace by pointing to a Nestlé Milo packet in order to support Capital Maharajah’s Anchor chocolate milk. Then he started about the mixing menace in the tea industry, which the leading tea intellectual Yshan Fernando of Forbes & Walker successfully disproved. Then he started talking about the cashew menace on a Sri Lankan Airlines flight just like that Korean “nut-rage woman” Heather Cho. During the cashew menace speech in Polonnaruwa, he also took a swipe at oranges!

This is a good trend that needs to be applauded.

The so-called human rights ‘acivists’ (Pakiasothy Saravanamuttu, Deepika Udagama, Sarath Wijesuriya, Gamini Viyangoda, male nurse Saman) have been found to be corrupt to the core, some receiving money from overseas organisations hellbent on destroying our sovereignty, and others from local business interests to ‘keep quiet’
    =
Dambare Amila, Wijesuriya, Viyangoda, Samanalee Gonseka, and male nurse Saman should be lined up at Lipton roundabout and caned for receiving Litro bribes if there is any justice in this country. They were the champions of now defunct yahapalanaya.

GR created the Sinhalese Only Armed Services and the nearly so Police. The Uniformed Services were plied with perks, encouraged to go into side businesses and postings after retirement.
They have become a law unto themselves. Their loyalty is not to the GoSL of the time.
