From the video scans the turn out is disappointing.
The few aerial shots that have been shown the distribution is quite sparse.
As far as can be judged the gathering seems to be about 25,000 strong.

What is Wimal Sangili Karuppan Windbag Weerawansa’s profession? Has he ever worked for “An Honest Day’s Work For An Honest Day’s Pay”.
I still can’t understand why the windbag is so animated when he is screaming in mike. Why does he scream at the top of his lungs? Do you know why?

He still thinks Dr Mahinda won the war. Its funny.
      Do you think so?

Why couldn’t Namal Baby rent large enough mob to fill the audience?

        Native Vedda,
Have YOU ever done “an honest day’s work for an honest day’s pay”? All you seemed to do is write endless half baked, Tamil racist comments on this forum. That’s why I said sometone ago that you are unemployed and more to the point unemployable!

Premaraj ~ “………the gathering seems to be about 25,000……”.
The Armed Services and Police are waiting for the orders “Step in”. At that stage a small part of the 25,000 would be needed.

You know it is a major flop when even the yellow clad skinheads have not shown-up.

MR should have at least called Malcom Ranjith to come and say something.

All this ‘hot air’ cannot convince/misled right thinking citizens.
If majority in parliament cannot be demonstrated, what Sirisena did was total injustice.

The Speaker has now stood up to the challenge.

This will never work. No union or man can rule a nation without the support of the people and God in heaven will NOT allow this to this “MR as PM” to be established. MR was defeated in a well-conducted election in 2015 and he having done all that he did during his term should now live in retirement. Hunger for power is ungodly. “Power comes from neither the East nor the West nor the South”. But God raises some and puts down others. Sri Lanka is proud to be identified as a Buddhist nation but we see the hand of the living God in this whole matter. The best advise to all concerned:

MR. Leave this “job” and go into retirement while you can still do so.
RW You had your chance but blew it. Right now, you are doing the correct thing but after these events retire from politics and let the VOTERS decide on a new leader.
MS You had your chance and proved that you are not suitable.

The sooner the rulers and all realize that power is not in temples, statutes, green trees and other man-made and man ordained objects, the better our lives be.

Kumaran, you mean the unseen, unheard, unfelt, unsmelt and non existing God, who seems to non exist in an unseen, unheard, unfelt, unsmelt and non existing Heaven.
      .
The fact that he has done all this while non existing shows that on a scale of 0 to 10 he is indeed 10.

“God raises some and puts down others” So he had raises MR and put down Ranil – Good God — unfortunately in 2015 God made a mistake by raising Ranil – because he fu..the country — and God took 3 and half years to see his selection is ruining the country – poor management – now people are shouting God’s raising of MR is unconstitutional – if true God have not red the constitution correctly –

Nagananda Kodituwakku has filed action, and been pilloried by some non-existent Dilrukshi Kirindigoda; I don’t know how to give you the link from this mobile phone.
      .
We’ve got to identify a replacement President; Nagananda is one candidate. Is Kumar Sangakkara another? Neither may be perfect, but there cannot be perfection on this Earth.
      .
Let’s not reject out of hand.

Ranil knows about this He doesnt want to go to supreme court is that Judges are bias. They just want to protect their jobs.
I ve been thinking Sri Lankans are the stupid idiots in this planter earth. Buddhism or any other religions have not helped these idiots. The buddhist monks are the biggest idiots and then the villagers esp down south.
I dont feel pity if the economy collapses and the whole country will be a another venuzuela. Any most of hte sri lankan bastards dont want to work and get things for free.

Namal Baby, Rohitha and Yoshitha are keen to start night races around the Kandy lake again with Ukrainian prostitutes doing the dancing again. If that is not bold and non religious what is? Shiranthi madam embezzling Landrovers? compare her with Professor Maithree Wickremesinghe who is whether we like it or not “wife” of current PM RW; so he has a “wife” but it is a marriage of intellectuals because both are known to bat for different teams. It does not matter; what is relevant is how low key they both are. Not pompous and garishly vulgar like a certain other President and his wife long ago; that guy claimed he was the people’s man from Lawariyawatte. But his wife insisted on being called Madam and wanted a radala life and grabbed everything with her son in law.

Democracy shall prevail soon. RW will prevail. US-India-EU will toppled MS-MR. Democracy must be decided at the polls not by power grabbing.

Well, Sherwin you are not quite right,Parliament is not supreme . It consists of the representatives of a Country’s people and they are the custodians who have been elected by the people, but the Judiciary is, that is why it is called supreme. This is the misconception and misinterpretation given by the politicians and they think and act as if they are above Law and the judiciary is under their beck and call. We know how judges were appointed during the last regime. According to the boastful news from the horse’s mouth this particular person was called to Ex. President’s office while she was doing her marketing and had made her a supreme court judge. The present President and PM too may have taken a cue from him to follow suit. Probably the present PM did not have his confidants in the Judiciary to refer his eviction case for judgement. At least in this late stage he should realise the importance and necessity of honesty in the performance of his duties and responsibilities reposed on him. At least at this eleventh hour all politicians will do well to remember that a day will come when their evil plans will boomerang specially when they affect the lives and rights of the people they have pledged to protect and safeguard. I think we are witnessing that hour. “Every man has his day and every dog has his hour.”

I honestly can not believe how naive the Sri Lankans are especially the Politicians. It is no secret that RW/MS received 6.2 mil and MR received 5.7 mil votes. So why can not each side draw a crowd of around a two hundred thousand supporters to gather? The media is equally responsible to blow out of proportion to boost either party showing the crowds using drones. If crowds are the measure to judge the popularity of the winning side, then MR simply could not have lost in 2015, by a margin of over 500,000 votes, seeing the crowds that thronged MR’s political meetings then. It was the same with the Nugegoda meeting before the general election where the PA lost to the UNP. When will they ever learn?
