    The Welikade Prison riots and deaths is a direct result of the nexus
    between the criminal world, the ruling clique and corrupt prison officials. Drugs, Mobile Phones and sharp instruments like swords and knives cannot get into the prisons and to the hands of dangerous IRCs unless some corrupt prison officials are in the take. It was long decades ago the prison system is a den of thieves – barring exceptional individuals. Substituting paid surrogates and releasing serious criminals on deadly charges to be out of jail is a common feature even before the advent of the roaring drug trade. In the new culture, once VVIPs started openly socialising with established drug-traffickers and pushers who became instant millionaires; kidnappers and ransom takers; Contract killers and the like, the organised crime world was emboldened to the extent they even assassinated High Court judges in their own homes.

    What more can you expect when criminals are appointed as “Advisors” to VVIPs and “Monitors” to Ministries? We now have a sensational case where billions exchanged hands said to assist pay hotel bills of a
    Mafia don now in a foreign hospital where the names of VIPs are mentioned. Criminals simply have no respect to law and order. The Law of the Jungle continues to march to the horror of innocent and helpless citizens. And we are told there is now a Minister in charge of Prisons????

      dear sen;
      THERE IS ANOTHER SIDE OF this bloody STORY ALSO .

      AS THE WAY IT HAPPENED,[ and i think ,that is my criminal mind] .

      may be there were some criminals who are tobe eliminated as they know many secrets [abductions, tortures, drug dealings,ransom and bribes takings, and killings ordered by higher-ups and VVIPs in the government and if it gets rot all of them will be in trouble.
      how the hell they can break a armory and take weapons to their custody..

      so better to terminate the contractors sooner the better..
      this the suitable time and after looting and pirating,
      we will jump the ship.
      what do you think?.

    Normally all Prisoners would be clad in Prison Clothes. How is it that many of them are in different clothes? Further the Prison weapons are properly secured with a few iron gates from room to room and access is not easy. Then how did the Prisnors get hold of so many guns? The story that the Military was searching for Mobile Phones at the time, looks a little too good to believe for this to happen. In such a senario from the grapewine that the MOD wanted some marked Prisnors to be done away with, fearing they will spill the beans of some grave crimes committed seem plausible.

    “Manju wanted to eliminate the evil from the face of the earth” laments
    reader Rama. Blacker has a different view and tells us it is best the dregs are done in. Rama – I do not dispute you but tell us more about
    this good man. Were there any other good guys whom this strange storming of the STF had chosen for “selective” punishment. Or is it the result of one set of gangsters, enjoying political power (certainly at a price), over another for control of the lucrative drug-trade, the Contract killing business, ransom for kidnapping and other such “industries” that have recently cropped up in the Land like No Other.
