Sri Lankan State Terrorism Spreads To Paris, France

By S. V. Kirubaharan

S. V. Kirubaharan

“Assassination makes only martyrs, not converts” Alphonse de Lamartine, French writer, poet and politician 21 October 1790 – 28 February 1869

With deep sadness and grief I write on the assassination carried out by the Sri Lankan military intelligence on a Tamil activist, a French citizen in Paris, France – Nadarajah Mathinthiran alias Parithi, nom de guerre Regan.

There is no doubt that this assassination was carried out by the Sri Lankan military intelligence which is directly under the Sri Lanka President Mahinda Rajapaksa and his brother Gotabaya Rajapaksa, the Defence Secretary.

Last Thursday, 8 November 2012, Parithi left his office located at 341 rue de Pyrenees in the 20th arrondissement of Paris, at 9.00 pm (21.00 hrs). The assassin, who must have known Parithi’s daily movements precisely, was waiting outside his office. He cold-bloodedly opened fire on Parithi, killing him on the spot. Parithi’s colleagues who were with him were stunned at what they witnessed.

Parithi joined the Liberation Tigers of Tamil Eelam – LTTE in 1983. He was injured in battle in 1988 and left the LTTE. Being an LTTE combatant he had participated in many battles against the Sri Lankan security forces.

He sought political asylum in France in 1990 and worked as an accounts clerk, living with his wife and daughter. In 2004, he became a full time activist and was in charge of the Tamil Coordinating Committee – TCC in Paris. He consistently supported the struggle for the right to self-determination of the Tamil people.

In 2004, during the so-called “peace time”, Parithi went to Sri Lanka. He was threatened and followed by the Sri Lanka intelligence service on his arrival at Colombo Airport until he went to the French embassy in Colombo and made a complaint. The French embassy in Colombo is well aware of this incident.

However, in April 2007, due to strong anti-LTTE lobbying, Parithi and thirteen other members of the TCC, were brought to justice by the French authorities. As a result, Parithi served a prison sentence until 2010. His re-appeal is still pending in the courts.

On leaving prison, he saw the devastated Tamil diaspora, shocked and grieved by the Mullivaighzhal massacres of May 2009. Parithi continued to serve the Tamil cause.

Last year, in October, there was an assassination attempt on him by a few mercenaries working with the Sri Lanka military intelligence. This attack took place a few yards away from where Parithi was assassinated last Thursday. During that incident, the attackers used batons and swords, but Parithi being an expert in martial arts, escaped this attempted assassination with a few injuries. During this incident two other colleagues of his were also injured.

The way last Thursday’s assassination took place proves that killings carried out by the military intelligence in Sri Lanka, have now moved to European capitals as well.

In the recent past, the Sri Lankan government transferred a few Sri Lankan military intelligence officials to European countries. Located outside Sri Lankan embassies, they maintain surveillance on Tamil activists who are working round the clock in foreign countries. It is believed that Pakistani military intelligence officials assist them.

Many of us have personally seen in Paris, especially in the La Chapelle/Gare du Nord area, many Urdu-speaking men in gangs following Tamil activists and observing the movements of Tamils who go shopping there.

One of the electronic media has said of Parithi that, Two weeks ago, the French legal proceedings sanctioned him a 10 months probation period that would have put him under close monitoring with restricted movement, including electronic monitoring. This term was to commence on Friday, and had it commenced, it would have been difficult for anyone to assassinate him, the legal sources further said.” (Excerpt)

If this is the case, this could be one of the clues to who the assassin is and how he knew about impending electronic monitoring of Parithi, due to start on the following day?

At the same time, geopolitics also plays a major role in this assassination. We cannot ignore the fact that, in the UN UPR review on 1 November 2012, 100 recommendations were rejected by Sri Lanka. One of the strongest of these (129.63), was made by France, and recommended that Sri Lanka:

“Create a reliable investigation commission consisting of professional and independent investigators to identify, arrest and prosecute the perpetrators of the Muttur murders – France.”(Excerpt from the draft report of the Working Group on the Universal Periodic Review – A/HRC/WG.6/14/L.14 –)

Also one cannot ignore the speech of Minister Mahinda Samarasinghe in the same UPR process in which he said: “…At the same time, we were not complacent but tried our utmost to prevent and forestall acts of destabilization from within and outside the country. There are still some elements that support the LTTE’s cause of dismemberment and separation of our island nation. We are aware of these initiatives and will defeat them by our ongoing strategy of re democratization, reconciliation, reconstruction and development.” (Excerpt from Sri Lanka Minister, Mahinda Samarasinghe speech in the UN UPR session on 1 November 2012)

During the UPR process on Sri Lanka, delegates were surprised to hear the Minister, Mahinda Samarasinghe pass the Sri Lankan military off as saints.

He said during the aforementioned speech, “From May 2009 to October 2012, the Army has constructed 4,652 permanent new houses; 6,171 semi-permanent houses and has renovated 7,454 houses, through their initiative and efforts. It has constructed 73 schools, renovated nearly 500 old school buildings and has constructed 23 school playgrounds…”

Now we understand why Sri Lanka is portraying the military as saviour and saints! It is so obvious that they are trying to disguise their real intentions, on the one hand, their colonisation programme on the island and on the other hand their international programme of repression.

All these indicators are enough to prove that Sri Lankan State terrorism has spread to a European capital, Paris and there are fears of impending similar incidents in other European countries. The assassination of Nadarajah Mathinthiran alias Parithi/Regan was organised and carried out by the Sri Lankan military intelligence probably with the help of Pakistan’s intelligence. We understand that Pakistan’s official who worked in Colombo has been posted to Paris, France in the recent past.

The international community has grappled with finding solutions to state terrorism in Iraq, Afghanistan, Tunisia, Egypt and Libya. These countries also had elections, but democracy and rule of law never prevailed.

Today it is the same with Sri Lanka. What is the response of the International Community, when it clearly sees Sri Lankan state terrorism is on its door step?

I take this opportunity to convey our heartfelt condolences to Parithi’s wife, daughter, parents and others.

    LOL.

But let’s hope it’s true, like Israel hunting Nazis, Sri Lanka too should hunt down these terrorists who fled to various foreign ghettos after spilling Sri Lankan blood.

      Hi LOL and WOL

As usual you have started your usual rubbish.

How about your infamous fund raising program for the Brus Fein project?

Do you expect us to disclose cat out of the bag?

Tell us, what have you achieved positively/constructively on the Tamil issue, other than finding fault with others. What happend to the funds raise in the name of Buse Fein?

      You are a wol.

You are such a coward to disclose your own name because of your corrupt background.

My thoughts are with his family and friends.

Mind you the murderer(s) is out there free to continue his business as usual. Who is going to be the next victim?

Hope French government treats this matter as serious as any other murder.

“But let’s hope it’s true, like Israel hunting Nazis, Sri Lanka too should hunt down these terrorists who fled to various foreign ghettos after spilling Sri Lankan blood.”

For the sake of argument lets assume your is a valid point.

How long do you intent to hunt down and how many do you think your state can kill?

If you really believe, this is how you must punish the terrorists then start at home. Most of the Sinhala/Buddhist JVP terrorists are still living in Sri Lanka and some are very close to the state. You will have no problem finding or hunting them down.

I am sorry since I am bit thick it didn’t occur to me that you just want to hunt down the Tamil LTTE terrorists not all terrorists.

Do keep up your selective justice.

No one can play vigilante. Israel ALSO goes into Iran to kill their scientists, Dubai to kill an Arab leader, and has even gone into the US to kill an Arab activist in California. So where will this end (google JDL kills Alex Odeh).
You start in one place, and make excuses to keep killing in other sovereign nations. No country has the right to go into other nations and play assassin. It is an act of terrorism by itself.
There is more to this story.

The SL Military Intelligence must be working out of the sri lankan embassy where Dayan Jayatilleke is ambassador who must be aware of this assassination.
Thus SL State Terrorism is now globalised.

If this is true then the Sri Lankan diplomats who were previously in the military may become targets for the Tamil militants living in European countries. Sri Lankan intelligence may be playing with fire here. There is very much anger in the diaspora at what happened to their brethren during the war and revenge is in the air waiting to ignite.

    • 0
      0

      @ Piranha :

The diaspora is “angry”? Only angry? They should be furious, disgusted and filled with self-loathing that they didn’t come to Sri Lanka during 2006-2009 when Fatty really wanted their manpower to hold off the genocidal Chingalam army.

Instead the diaspora indulged in dangerous street theatre and heart-attack-inducing Big Mac eating contests. The diaspora had their chance at glory and they completely blew it.

What none of you geniuses can admit is that Sri Lanka doesn’t need to antagonise powerful Western countries and send its hit squads to take out the surviving LTTE rabble. They just need to sow suspicion, doubt and uncertainty amongst the two big LTTE factions and let them destroy each other.

Who knows whom to trust in the alphabet soup of Eelamist groups – Is the TGTE against the GTE or GTF or WTF or WTM or TYO?

Even the Swiss are saying that “District 5 (in Zurich) Has a Tamil Problem.”

Could the living saint, Mr S. V. Kirubaharan educate us on the good work done by the Matheenthiran in France?

A French court sentenced Matheenthiran to seven years in prison for extorting over $7.4 million from French-based SL Tamils to finance the LTTE’s military campaign.

This isn’t the first time that the remaining LTTE factions have killed each other, fighting over the LTTE’s bank accounts and it won’t be the last.

I urge the tireless campaigner for human rights, Mr Kirubaharan, to immediately investigate the activities of the two LTTE exile factions led by Nediyavan Donkey Master and by Vinayagam Donkey Master. and tell us who’s stealing money from whom and for what purpose.

Now, I must light a candle for Matheenthiran.

I’m waiting for Mr S. V. Kirubaharan to convey his heartfelt condolences to the hundreds of under-age Tamil children kidnapped by the LTTE’s white vans and forced to become LTTE cadres.

“Twenty plus Sangeetha, on the other hand, is a victim of LTTE’s forced conscription. She was dragged into a van when she was returning from school one day. Her parents were helpless to protect her from the abductors.”

      Mango

In the first half of the 1990s a news item reached me when I was busy collecting honey in my jungle.

A person called Sabalingam was assassinated in his house in front of his family during day time. This also happened in Paris, France.

Do you know who this Sabalingam was and who did kill him?

Later I heard two LTTE activists also killed in Paris.

You seem to know all the comings & goings in and around Tamil Community. You are the best person to inform me of the above assassinations.

Are you a disappointed secret admirer of VP?

        Hi Veddah,
I have no special knowledge, just a close reading of openly available sources. I look forward to reading about more internecine killings between the Nediyavan Donkey Master faction and the Vinayagam Donkey Master faction. It’s a continuation of the liberators turning on each other with as much ferocity as they did against the hated Sinhalese racists.

As for VP, he was an excellent tactician against an arrogant and stupid SL state leadership of the 1980s and 1990s but a disaster as a strategist.

So you are indeed a disappointed secret admirer of VP.

For me VP was a psychopath hence he needed not be either a tactician nor a strategist.

He was also a megalomaniac which means according to the free dictionary:

          1. A psychopathological condition characterized by delusional fantasies of wealth, power, or omnipotence.

          2. An obsession with grandiose or extravagant things or actions.

        Dear Vedda,
I see that basic logic isn’t one of your strong points. To admit that VP was an excellent tactician and a terrible strategist is not the same as ‘admiring’ him. The facts, however unpalatable they are, remain immutable and and must be recognised as such.

Sri Lanka’s MOD (defence.lk) praised the heroism of the LTTE who fought and died in the final battle of encirclement at Aanandapuram.

“The men and women in the professional arms of the security forces value honour more than anything else. They fight for the cause they believe in and seek honour by contributing towards its realisation. This is the reason that the armed forces personnel are trained to respect the fallen enemy. We do not wish to insult Theepan, Vidusha, Durga, Gadhapi, Gopith, Nagesh, and the rest who died in the recent fighting.

Indeed, they were the cream of the LTTE fighting cadre. It is a shame that they had to die for the wrong cause. They fought for the destruction of their own motherland and their own nation. Their deaths represent the end of the brutal terrorist outfit that devoured some 75,000 lives of Sri Lankan citizens, the lives of their own brethren. But, the mean spirited that mislead them, still desire more deaths, and continued bloodshed in this country.”

          Thanks for your complement.

I see no difference between MOD & LTTE as they are ready to kill and to be killed.

You say MOD praised the heroism of the LTTE. LTTE would have done the same. This was mutual respect for each other, who were in the killing business.

I am not sure whether both had same level of respect for innocent civilian.

Since I am bit thick I don’t understand many things. Please explain to me the following:

          Tactics in LTTE context.

          Strategy in LTTE context

Why do you think VP was an excellent tactician? Please let me have some examples.

Why did LTTE lose under your great tactician?
What were the costs and benefits of his tactics?

Don’t be ashamed of being a disappointed secret admirer of VP.

Kirubaharan do not try to whitewash the inter-LTTE rivalry that might be bebind the killing. Read what DBS Jeyaraj has to say about this killing. He puts the blame not on the SL military intelligence but on a rival LTTE faction functioning in Europe. DBS is a well respected Tamil investigative journalist. He has always come out with the truth and I believe in this case too he is right. Also another Tamil jounalist based in Swiss, namely, Thurairetnam has stated that the French police are investigating this murder from three angles; one – it might be the work of a rival LTTE faction, two – it might be the work of SL military intelligence, and three – internal conflict from Paruthy’s office itself. In his report Thurairetnam says Paruthy left the office after receiving a call from someone and not when he was leaving after work. He has said that at the time Paruthy left his office, Paruthy’s wife and children were still in the office waiting for his return. He has stated that someone inside Paruthy’s office might have given the message to the killers that Paruthy was leaving the office at that time.

Tamil Coordinating Committees functioning in various countries in the West have always denied that they are not front organisations for the LTTE. Now the reveleation that Paruthy was personally appointed to head the Paris office of TCC and the fact that TCC has been proved by the French Police as behind the extortion racket go to prove that TCCs are nothing but LTTE’s overseas offices.

You mention that Paruthy “.. saw the devastated Tamil diaspora, shocked and grieved by the Mullivaighzhal massacres of May 2009”. Who is to blame for that massacre? Didn’t the LTTE hold the Tamil civilians as human shield? LTTE to which Paruthy belonged should bear the major blame for that massacre. LTTE was asked to surrender by Norway, India and the international community at least a month before the final end so that the Tamils entrapped by the calculated designs of the LTTE could be saved.Your leader Prabaharan did not budge because he listened to Vaiko and Nedumaran and believed that the American fleet will rescue them. I am saying this from personal knowledge. I, in the company of the leader of a former Tamil armed group, met the Indian National Security Advisor M.K.Narayanan on 13 April 2009 at his office in New Delhi and pleaded with him to save the Tamils entrapped in Mullivaikal. Narayanan told us that he had passed a message through several LTTE channels to surrender and that India will take the initiative to end the fighting but that he had not received any response from LTTE. He told us that if we are keen on saving the entrapped Tamils we should pass this message to LTTE and get them to surrender. I personally passed this message to a former LTTE member based abroad and he said he had in turn passed this message to LTTE’s Ratnam Master. There was to be no surrender. What I learnt later was that Prabaharan contacted Vaiko and Nedumaran and asked for their opinion but these two had advised him not to heed Narayanan’s call as Jayalalitha’s party is going to win all the Tamil Nadu seats to the Lok Sabha and that she would be the king maker of the next Indian Government. They had asked Prabaharan to hold on until the Lok Sabha election results are known and that Jayalalitha could bring a favourable end to the fighting in Sri Lanka. Prabharan believed it and spurned India’s call to surrender. Jayalalitha lost out and Congress Party was returned to power. Then it was too late for anybody to prevent the SL military to finish off the LTTE. Yes there was the inevitable massacre of the Tamils trapped in the war front but the accusing finger should be pointed out at the LTTE leader Prabaharan.

Kirubaharan you and the whole lot of Diaspora Tamils did not ask Prabaharan to allow the trapped Tamils to leave so that they can escape the fighting. You and the Diaspora Tamils who funded the LTTE should also share a major blame for the massacre. Now instead of helping the Tamils to get back to their feet you people are engaged in a useless campaign of vilification of the Rajapakse government. It is unproductive as far as the suffering Sri Lankan Tamils are concerned. Yes you and your Tamil Diaspora can do and say all sorts of things about the SL Government and the SL military intelligence, but these will not help the SL Tamils. Kirupaharan do you know that one reason trotted out by the SL government for not removing the military from the North East is the separatist campaign you people are waging in the safety of western democracies. You people should stop this and let the Sri Lankan Tamils and their elected leaders in Sri Lanka sort out their problems. Some of you people from the North who were never ever affected by the SL conflict sought refugee status in western countries leaving the poor kids from Batticaloa and Vanni to face that unwanted war thrust on them. For God sake stop your propaganda against the SL government and help create an atmosphere for the SL Tamils based in Sri Lanka itself to find a solution to their problems.

Mr. S. V. Kirubaharan, thank you very much for revealing the tip of the iceberg.

At the same I thank so called NAGA, who gave the Sri Lankan embassy version in Paris OR Sri Lankan government Gothabaya version OR Sri Lankan intelligence working in European countries version.

Well it looks like NAGA knows everything except the killer.

It is very strange he knows everything what happened at the last moment before Nadarajah Mathinthiran alias Parithi was assassinated!

It is true inter-LTTE rivalry exists but most of them are presently working with Gotabaya and SL intelligence service. For example, Conel Karua, Armes supplier and man wanted by interpol K.P. and few others working with Gotabaya and his hit squad..

So obviously NAGA accepts that Paruthy was assassinated by the Sri Lanka intelligence service working in Paris and other European countries. Thank you very much revealing the fact.

NAGA don’t worry French are very smart, they will tell you soon where this hit squad is based and how they operate.

    S. V. Kirubaharan B£E CAUTIOUS.

I thank Kirubaharan and NAGA for giving us their inner heart.

I Thank Gota and Dayan Jayatilke and the hit squad leaders for giving their version which pure faction.

There is a public accusation on the Sri Lankan government for which you are an Ambassador in France where this cold murder has taken place.

Where is your statement what so ever.

By the way, please tell us about the status of 13th amendment which you were advocating for the last two decades.

Is it true that when Premadasa was the President, you justified the killing of JVP commrades in the South?

Is it good for a country representative to keep silent when there is a serious accusation on your government, on your military intelligence on your President?

Being Ambassador in France, do release your official statement regarding the killing of Nadarajah Mathinthiran/Parithi.

          @ Kanapathypillai :

My good friend,Jim McDonald (Amnesty International’s Sri Lanka country specialist) said:
Anyone can make a charge at any time against anyone; that doesn’t require the person being charged to have to prove their innocence.”

So, it’s up to you to provide proof that GoSL assassinated Matheenthiran.

Instead you’re in denial that it was almost certainly a result of infighting between the Nediyavan Donkey Master LTTE faction and the Vinayagam Donkey Master LTTE faction.

          Kanapathypillai says:

“Is it true that when Premadasa was the President, you justified the killing of JVP commrades in the South?”

Dayan Jayatilleka is a self confessed natural born war monger hence it doesn’t matter whether he justified killing of JVP or LTTE.

He was with EPRLF and served as a minister in the North East provincial council while EPRLF and IPKF went on rampage.

He was with Premadasa when his regime mercilessly put down innocent Sinhala youth. Again he was with MR when war crime and crime again humanity took place advocating more war mongering.

It is only natural where there is war there would be Dayan glossing over blatant human rights violations of the ruling regimes.

I think your question is irrelevant had you historically known him for his views on struggle of the proletariat which he preached in early days.

Now he is a graying failed would be revolutionary and retired to the comforts of being part of the Sinhala/Buddhist establishment.

Government Says Accusations On Killing Of Former Rebel In France “Ridiculous”

          By Easwaran Rutnam

The Sri Lankan Embassy in France termed as “ridiculous” accusations that the military intelligence was behind the assassination of a former LTTE commander in France.
Sri Lanka’s Ambassador to France, Dayan Jayatilleka, told The Sunday Leader that the French law enforcement authorities are investigating the incident.
Nadarajah Mathinthiran alias Parithi, an ex-LTTE commander who had left the movement in the early 90′s and later coordinated Tamil political activities in France since 2003, was killed on Thursday evening outside the office of the Tamil Coordinating Committee (TCC) in Paris.
“It would not be appropriate for me to comment on something that is obviously under investigation by the French authorities, except to say that the culture of lethal violence of the Tiger/pro-Tiger milieu seems to be very much intact. It is this culture of violence that exercises tremendous psychological coercion upon and within the Tamil Diaspora and prevents the emergence of truly democratic, pluralist politics. As for the ridiculous accusations by certain pro-secessionist propagandist websites, I am quite certain that the French law enforcement authorities will investigate this crime and identify, apprehend and prosecute the perpetrators as well as those behind it,” he said.
Mathinthiran was shot at least three times when he was leaving the office of the TCC at Pyrenees in Paris 20, reports said.
Mathinthiran was given with the nom de guerre Reagon when he joined the LTTE in 1983. He received his military training in the 2nd batch of the LTTE’s training programme provided by India. Some of his batch mates in the training camp in India were Kumarappa, Bhanu, Ranjan Lala and Vasu, reports said.
Reagon took part in the early operations of the LTTE against the military in Mannar, Jaffna and Vanni. He was a middle-level commander when he left the LTTE in the early 90’s.

Kanapathypillai, my views on the 13th amendment have not changed since it was first introduced. If you can show any evidence to the contrary please quote it.

As for the JVP, yes, I advocated, defended and supported the military defeat of those who killed Vijaya Kumaratunga, Daya Pathirana, Nandana Marasinghe, George Ratnayake and 117 members of the SLMP ( of which I was a Politburo member and Asst Secretary) who stood for devolution, democracy and the equal rights of the Tamils.

Sorry this is not the official statement of the French embassy on behalf of the Sri Lanka government.

This is the view of the Sri Lanka ambassador in France.

However while he says that “It would not be appropriate for me to comment on something that is obviously under investigation by the French authorities,

Then how can he says that

“ridiculous” accusations that the military intelligence was behind the assassination of a former LTTE commander in France.

Dayan sorry to say that blood on your hand.

Sad to see that Lasantha Wickrematunga’s Sunday Leader has today become the mouth piece of the Rajapaksas.

Tomorrow Sarath Foneska will become the Prime Minister of Sri Lanka under the Presidency of Mahinda Rajapaksa.

Dayan is making use of this situation to given an interview to the Sunday Leader and to say that a non-government media has publish this news item.

It is too late for Dayan to deny the accusation on Sri Lanka, unless otherwise Sri Lankan intelligence working in France comes under Ambassador Dayan.

Dayan, like JVP period, once again, there is blood on your hand.

Hey, didn’t you read David Jeyaraj’s (constantly updated) extended reportage on the Paridi killing? Try doing so– its on his weblog dbsjeyaraj.com.

It is most educative. I learnt quite a bit from it.

Dayan: is Jeyaraj’s your “God”? ;)

The root cause of SL Government thinking and believing the reported speech is due to the fact that Buddhism know to Lankans was written 400 years after the death of the Gautama. Here we hardly know how much our granddads knew even with scripts while they are supposed to have memorized it for 6 generations. The Chinese got the script right first time because they were civilized and had their own language. The Mahayana permits marriage so there are no pedophiles.
I swear, by my life and my love of it, that I will never live for the sake of another man, nor ask another man to live for mine.
I know you like to interact and that your hands are tied being a government servant. But dont try to drive every one round the bend. 90% of Sri lankans have an IQ below 70 but that not us here. ;)

If Sanjana Hattotuwe says something good about Dayan, doesn’t mean that it is another doctorate to him. This pure rubbish.

There are many common things between Dayan and DBS Jeyarajah.

Both are arch enemies of LTTE and double tongue. Both are paid by unknown factors.

This was the reason Dayan was fired by His Majestic and Holy government of Rajapaksa from UN. Dayan was re-hired on a special assignment which we read and listen presently in independent media.

Why we should read DBS Jeyarajah article when the latest news about investigation of assassinated Nadarajah Mathinthiran is available in many electronic media.

If one asks Varatharajahperumal, ex-chief minister of NE provincial council, he will relate hundreds of stories about Dayan manipulative tactics and double standard.

Varatharajperumal is a living witness for Dayan’ chractierstics.

This is the write time for Varatharajahperumal to write an article about Dayan which will open the eyes of the people who believes that Dayan Jeyatilkake is a diplomatic cor.

Rajapaksas should give him one Star more than what it was given to Sarath Fonseka. He is such smart manipulator and hidden worker.

It was a mistake for me to say, you are worried. Sorry I didn’t know that you are a seasoned supporter of killers like Premadasa, Chandrika and now Rajapaksas.

Well and good, you put the blame on diaspora about preventing truly democratic, pluralist politics.

Do you know the period, when Tamils were finding their nest in the west? It was only after horrible 1983 riots.

What your His Majestic and Holy government is doing on your so called 13 amendment?

As Varathrajaperumal said that is the best tool you are using to fool the international community, for how long?

Is it true, presently you are in consultation with legal experts in Europe? Preventation is better than cure.

Don’t forget, the very best and effective LTTE commanders are presently working with your His Majestic and Holy government , helping the military intelligence. I am sure you aware of many things concern to this affair.

If the state had sent the hit squad then it confirms that it has no intention in rehabilitation but is more interested in pocketing the foreign exchange they receive for this purpose.

On top of it to carry out assassination within EU with or without the approval of France classifies Sri Lanka as a terrorist state.

The Paris killing looks more like an internal affair in the battle to gain control of the loot. If at all State security officials have a hand, it may have been to use the Tamil militants themselves (certainly not for charity to create an “incident” in order to justify the maintenance of the excessive troop presence and super expenditure on a non-existent Tiger threat. Already several Sinhala friends phone me to remind me I am wrong in maintaining the Tigers are history.

      • I’m not his wife.
      • I’ve never been married to Mr Gnanakone.
      • I’ve never met Mr Gnanakone.

Do tell us more about why US Eelamists don’t trust Mr Gnanakone. Is Mr Gnanakone a double agent for Sri Lanka’s DMI (Directorate of Military Intelligence) ?

      • 0
        0

        No, Mango, he’s not.

Donald hates my father, and my father hates Donald.

Donald has, by far, the better reason; BS was involved in the 1983 robbery of the Gnanakone’s property in Colombo and the atrocities against Tamil businessmen there…to “get the war going”, and motivate what he called the “Sleeping Tamils” in Colombo, since they were not interested in joining the war he had been involved in planning since the 1960s.

The whole thing was another Amnesty International (AI) operation. My father was one of the secret members when AMNESTY INTERNATIONAL was formed in 1961. He was a friend of of the Jewish lawyer Peter Benenson, who founded AI, and was paid for copying letters for “mail outs”. He admitted this in a “lecture” he gave Tamil students in Toronto (it’s been on Google videos for years) and he often mentions being a “supporter” for AI.

He should be asked how much, in total, he has been paid by Amnesty International.

        • 0
          0

          Dear Dr Senewiratne,
I’m very happy to hear that Mr Gnanakone is not a double agent working for DMI. It’s good that in an ever-changing world, you can rely on Mr Gnanakone as a constant, unchanging, reliable factor.

I’m sorry to hear about your father’s previous criminal behaviour against Mr Gnanakone and his family. These actions have forever stained the Sinhalese’s reputation and the current govt’s behaviour is unlikely to make things any better.

As for AI, even with all its’ faults, it still has a role to play in global human rights, but has really burnt its boats in Sri Lanka by accepting $50,000 from the CTC. What they hell were they thinking?

Yes. let us see what Dayan Jayatileke’s response is as Rajapakse’s own representative in Paris for the past couple of years. The accusation of murder falls on the head of Jayatileke, and he needs to respond to his knowledge or lack of knowledge/innocence as he should be given that opportunity.

If he remains silent, then the accusations might stick to his head and the Rajapakses-Pakistanis et al. The man who jumps up, like a Cat on a Hot Brick remains silent, itself is rather strange.

He should also invite the the French authorities to carry out a thorough investigations and most importantly cooperate with the French Police regarding these alleged Pakistani operators from the Pakistan embassy.

Kirubakaran is a veteran Tamil activist with over a quarter of a century of experience in Paris, and is well aware of all the Tamil operators there. he is staking his reputation with this article and should be taken seriously. Now the ball is in the hands of the French Police who anyway monitored that address as well as the victim and should be able to zero in the murderers very quickly..,. After all it is not like the Sinhala Police in Rajapakistan Land, where “Cover Up” is the name of their game.

As for Senguttan’s conclusion, is mere speculation, as he is too far away from the scene of the action with virtually zero personal contact with those involved, unless he is talking to Sri Lanakan diplomats and political figures who would only deny, even if they are involved, or would not know WTF happened…

There are NO Indians involved in Paris in this scenario, either.

Diplomats are paid to LIE.. DJ is an expert on it while singing for his supper and well paid, comfortable job in Geneva and now Paris.

At the same token, of his statement, we also can then say, that State Terrorism of the GOSL is alive and well in Paris, and DJ is the High Commissioner there.

As I have said previously, 2 days ago, I am prepared to wait for the French Police Investigations, unlike DJ throwing accusations.. But whatever the results of the investigations are there is NO Justification for State Terrorism in SL, and the military oppression, suppression, and repression of the Tamils in Sri Lanka. SL diplomats keep lying and denying the well known facts and trying their very best to prevent independent, international investigations of War Crimes, and Crimes Against Humanity by Sri Lanka, in Sri Lanka.

          Donald,

Your logic is puzzling and self-defeating – admittedly not a new phenomenon.
First you say we have to wait for the French police to conclude their investigations, but then, without any proof, accuse GoSL of being responsible for Mathinthiran’s well-deserved early retirement.

GoSL say that it’s almost certainly the work of Eelamist factions because they have proof of similar killings being done by the LTTE, in France. e.g. the murder of dissident journalist (ex TELO member and founder member of the LTTE) Sabaratnam Sabalingam by LTTE hitmen in 1994.

Diplomats do lie for their country. It’s part of the job. So, the next time you’re pleading with someone from the US State Dept to punish SL for having won the war, they’ll listen to you, sympathise with you, agree with you and promise action, soon. Remember, they’re lying to you.

The word on the ‘international street’ is that everyone’s heartily sick of the pro-LTTE groups’ constant whining. Just accept that you lost the war and come back to SL. You’ll feel a lot better, your blood pressure will stabilise and you’ll be assured of a long and happy retirement and you’ll be able to help the people in the war-ravaged areas.

Can I humbly ask the saintly human rights activist Mr S. V. Kirubaharan to investigate these suspicious deaths, torture and abduction of Sri Lankan Tamils in France?

    1. The murder of dissident journalist (ex TELO member and founder member of the LTTE) Sabaratnam Sabalingam by LTTE hitmen in 1994, the first LTTE political murder in the West.

    2. The existence of an LTTE Torture Farm outside Paris. Unlucky Tamils were white-vanned by LTTE activists and often tortured until their ransom demands were met. Surely this cannot be true?

I’m utterly shocked that Mr Kirubaharan hasn’t written a word about these poor victims, or demanded an international investigation to find their murderers and abductors nor conveyed his heartfelt condolences to their wives, children, parents and others.

Does the saintly human rights activist Mr S. V. Kirubaharan only have tears when LTTE cadres are killed or abducted?Or is he too scared of the LTTE to demand an investigation into their crimes against their ‘own people’?

Now it is up to the French Police to do the proper investigations, which both Mr. Kirubakaran and SLHC DJ would provide all the information they have and future leads, which might provide answers to the real culprits, whether they are Sinhalese, Tamils, Pakistanis or someone else.

    http://www.thesundayleader.lk/2012/11/10/government-accusations-on-killing-of-former-rebel-in-france-ridiculous/

Let us all give the French Police a chance, but propaganda will take it’s own course as usual..

@Romesh… Your father was away from Sri Lanka after 1976, as he left SL suddenly with all of you’ll with the help of Minister of Justice, Uncle Felix. Your Tamil Mother knows the true reasons even if you all were not told. May be it is time you ask her after 36 years…Since Uncle Felix is dead.

In fairness to your father he had nothing to do with the robbery, and burning/looting of my property in the 1983 July riots, or my family’s. 90% of the losses to us was my own, and there was a small retail property of my father’s which was burnt for the 3rd time, since 1958 riots, but the most valuable part, which was the Galle Road Land in Wellawatte was not acquired. My father later sold the property, albeit for a song.He also lost his 30 year office in Ceylinco house in 1995 when the building took a hit, after the Central Bank attack. Luckily he was not injured as he was out of the office. He decided to retire from business at 80 years after experiencing another burning and loss of all valuables to theft and fire..

In 1983, Romesh, your father was not capable of influencing any body in Colombo, to commit robbery nor any other acts, and the same applies even now.

Your father was one of those who supported the LTTE boycott of the presidential elections in 2005, together with the other Tamil Pundits and advisers which resulted in the Rajapakses coming to power and causing all this destruction and killing of the Tamils, and daylight robbery of entire Sri Lanka. So it was a curse for both the Tamils and Sinhalese, and the Muslims in the middle will try and make the best of any situation as usual. I was the odd man out who opposed it vehemently but was in the US, and was unable to visit SL during the elections, although I was there just 2 months before that.

Prior to that in 2008 your father with the others was responsible in sabotaging the Tamils For Justice/Bruce Fein Project, which was against HR violations, and other crimes committed by US citizens and residents….
Your father has made several audacious claims from platforms and videos, including this Amnesty International claim, and that he was the first Eelamist in 1945, during the Second World War… LOL. Do I need to say more!!!!

I do not hate your father Romesh, but I Love the Tamils, and am protective of them where ever and when ever I can. Proof of the pudding is in the eating and the track record of 45 years is the proof. I do not look for cheap popularity from any side, nor name/fame, or bogus appointments.

    BARE WORDS BUTTERS NO PARSNIPS….

          Good question.

Central Bank was attacked by the LTTE, led by present deputy Minister in the Rajapaksa’s government KARUNA and Gotabaya’s good and long standing friend KP.

Presently both are working with Sri Lanka’s military intelligence hit squad.

The Ellalan Farce of Tamil Eelam warns migrated Tamil organisations – Behave yourself or you’ll face VP’s wrath i.e. “strict administrative activities”

“Ellalan Farce of Tamil Eelam has sent special warning on email towards Tamil organisations operated by the migrated Tamil people.

    The Email says,

This was urgent request by the Ellalan Farce of Tamil Eelam for LTTE leaders and Tamil activists residing in the foreign countries.

Since end of the weapon territory we were unable to contact our leaders residing in the foreign nations. In the recent past Tamil group in the western nations as divided in to two separate groups and make different statements and organise separate events in their respective nations. This was a great insult for the freedom struggle of Tamil people.

We kindly request you to stop all these activities before the 31.12.2012 and also urge to be united and work as one nation.

If such situation continues we were forced to take strict administrative activities against these members, report says.”

Now, is this a genuine LTTE letter (a French letter?) or dirty trick letter by the Dept of Dirty Tricks of SL’s DMI, to create fear, doubt and suspicion amongst the many factions of the migrated Eelam organisation?

Everyone who comes into this world has to die one day.

        Ranjith,

Are you working with half-a-brain? That letter purports to come from the “Ellalan Farce of Tamil Eelam” group. I’m merely reporting verbatim, their threat “towards Tamil organisations operated by the migrated Tamil people.”

CT should insist on an IQ test before posting. It’ll help keep fools like you from making complete idiots of themselves.

DJ, Mango, and others better read this, how 4 Pakistanis were arrested 5 days ago, for kidnapping 2 Tamils in France:

      KIRUBAKARAN MIGHT BE SPOT ON!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Pakistanis charged with kidnapping two Tamils in France
      WEDNESDAY, 14 NOVEMBER 2012 22:54
Four Pakistanis have been charged with kidnapping and beating up two Tamils after being stopped on the motorway heading south from Paris at the weekend.

The four were charged and denied bail on Tuesday night in the Paris suburb of Bobigny.

They and their alleged victims were picked up by police on the A6 motorway just north of Lyon on Friday night.
Although they showed signs of having been assaulted, the two Tamils, 25 and 32-years-old respectively, were jailed in a Lyon police station pending charges, according to a police source who blamed the mix-up on language difficulties.

All six were later transferred to Bobigny and the Tamils freed.

The four Pakistanis have been charged with unlawful detention, assault, use of a weapon and premeditation and an investigation has been launched.

Paris has an established Tamil community and a growing Pakistani one.

Last week Nadarajah Mathinthiran, an activist who supported the separatist Tamil Tiger movement, was shot dead on a street in the capital.(RFI)

Regarding the Paris killing, one of the websites says there is a new development in the investigation in Paris. It reads as follows.

“This man claimed to have been contacted by a relative of the Sri Lankan Ambassador in France who offered him a reward of 50,000 Euros (49000 GBP) and a Sri Lankan passport in exchange for the execution. All these factors are being verified.”

    Well, well, well

      @Ponuthurai:
That’s a fantastically hilarious defence. :) What use is SL passport? Who is this relative? I expect the French police to start kicking down doors and cracking heads in “Little Jaffna” in Paris looking for answers.

The Frenchies aren’t as soft as the Brits or Canadians on foreigners using their soil to plan terrorism abroad. They may even start deporting undesirable Eelamish persons back to Sri Lanka.. Well, well, well..

Hey Ponuthurai, the news item , which itself false, has been further falsified by you. Nowhere in the news item does it say, as you have written within inverted commas, that “This man claimed to have been contacted by a relative of the Sri Lankan Ambassador in France….”

This deliberate falsification (of an already inaccurate news report) only shows that you fellows haven’t changed one bit, and remain committed to the same mentality and practices that brought about the decisive defeat at Nandikadal in May 2009.

By the way, the Sri Lankan Ambassador in France doesn’t have any relatives in France or the European continent, though he does have a few in London.

    Mango:

“If such situation continues we were forced to take strict administrative activities against these members, report says.”

What might be the “strict administrative activities”?

Does it include breaking one’s leg, arm or neck?

      0

      Veddha,

Using previous LTTE actions as a guide, the misbehaving elements can expect to be beaten up, have their legs broken (e.g. DBS), have their homes ransacked etc.

Bad news from Paris. The French cops have arrested two Tamil youths as suspects in Mathinthiran’s murder.

“.. in custody, the suspects denied any involvement in the murder. According to investigators, a dispute between two opposing groups of the Tamil community in Paris could be the cause of this crime.

Even more bad news is that the investigation also covers “illegal entry and stay in France.” Hmmmm.. now, who is that is continually being suspected of illegal entry and overstaying?

    http://tinyurl.com/cw5qwv3

If GoSL had ordered this hit (always unlikely), they would’ve evacuated the operators out of France immediately. The fact that these two idiots were arrested in the Barbès area of Paris, only 5km from the hit suggests the hitmen were locals who didn’t have anywhere else to go.

The French public’s on-line commentary to this story is fascinating. Over 90% of the suddhas are saying “now that the war’s over, send them back”. Not much sympathy in France.

      Don’t talk bullshit.

Read the below given news item. You chauvanist are good in false propaganda.

France is not Sri Lanka for covering-up or ignoring a crime.

French police says that one of the suspects has told them that someone very close to the Srilankan high commission in Paris, approched him and told that they will give 50.000 euros and a Sri lanka passport, if they successfully assassinate Nadarajah Mathinthiran alias Parithi.

Take the below given paragraph in French and get this translated into Sinhalese.

You must be Sinhala buddhist chauvanist.

Ask your Ambassador in France about this news item.

Now Mahinda Rajapaksa and Gothabaya can arranged someone to write an article about the LTTE fund raising in Europe.

      You all nut cases.

Just an after thought David: This is a town site not a global site like Yahoo which I have been using for some time and still do. When the article is about immigrants in the US or EU within 6 hours there are around 20K posts. How does one comment/respond to another comment? Now what most intelligent folk are interested in is “constructive criticism” and there are generally red necks who barge in with comments like yours which we ignore because we have multicultural input. This site is not a school of English and I don’t really need Sri Lankan English hope that’s clear.

I am not interested in teaching you anything. But I am hoping you will learn some English so that your comments will be comprehensible and part of the debate rather than the lunatic gibbering that it is right now.

But going back to the point you seem eager to distract from, the paragraph posted by Perera regarding the “relative of the SL ambassador to Paris” doesn’t appear in the article he has linked to. Why don’t you explain that instead of trying to be a translator?

People create their own questions because they are afraid to look straight. All you have to do is look straight and see the road, and when you see it, don’t sit looking at it – walk. Alas you cannot when you work for somebody.

        Dear Perera,
You omitted to translate the key part of that sentence, which I’ve already quoted.

«Tous ces éléments sont en cours de vérifications» which can be translated as ‘their claims are being investigated’. The French police are investigating the suspects’ claims. Is that clear?

France has an excellent track record in covering up its own crimes. They only recently admitted to a massacre of 200+ Algerians which happened in Paris in 1961.

If this has done by our intelligence, then here it is our tribute to nation’s great heroes for silence another brutal terrorist who raised funds for their personal benefit and to destroy the peace dawn to our motherland.
But It is well known fact that Tamil diaspora has now two major rivalry factions. Nediyawan and Rudhrakumaran groups. similarity is both group want to destroy Sri Lanka by their terrorist activities and both leaders want to take the crown of terrorism after Terrorist god father Prabhakaran lost his life by the hands of our great heroes. Hope he is now enjoying his life in the hell. This may be a result of the so called fight.

France, before conduct any investigation it will be very useful for them to revise their policy towards LTTE front organisations who are freely conducting their illegal activities by covering to refuge and human rights laws. Otherwise these Tamil terrorists will spread their terrorism all over the Europe ONE DAY.
