Sujeewa Senasinghe Wants To Donate ‘Ill-Gotten Gains’ To Charity

State Minister Sujeewa Senasinghe who stands accused of receiving Rs 3 million from W M Mendis & Company, an affiliate of Perpetual Treasuries Ltd (PTL) has acknowledged that he did in fact receive this amount when he pledged to donate an equal amount to a charity.

Senasinghe

Senasinghe however imposed the caveat, ‘if the Speaker Karu Jayasuriya or a Chief Prelate asked him to do so.’

In a bid to control the damage to his reputation caused by his campaign team accepting money from PTL, which is at the heart of the Central Bank bond issue scam, Senasinghe addressed the media, claiming he had no knowledge of such a donation.

PLT is said to have made billions in the said bond scam.

Senasinghe said in his defense that at the time the money was received ‘there was no information that Mendis & Company was attached to PTL’

After election, when Ranil went to North first time, he went to see the Rapist Army. There he wanted to have the Presidential Summer House turned into a 5 star hotel for MP. When a Principal complained him about his school condition he shouted at the principal “shut up and sit down”. This time when he went the Northern MP complained to him about all province condition. War torn province remains as the lowest income provinces. They are the most uneducated provinces. Yahapalanaya is not ready to bring the standardization, now, for North East’ benefits. All what he did was indignantly laughed at them.
Microloans are killing the war widows in the North. All of their Thalikodies are robbed by army. 59 said to be suicided by these microloans in the North. But 118 MPs out of 225 shared the looting for which they employed a Tamil coolie on a one year contract. Why can’t Sampanthar tell Ranil that the Tamils need to start to take care of them; they don’t want to be with Sinhalese

If sujiva took money while being COPE member that is bad and corrupt

But this corruption is nothing when compared with Rajapakse corruption

Simply speaking we do not want the Rajapakses back

Sujeewa Senasinghe looks the most PAthetic Kind of Politician and the thief. Just before the general election he was at the forefront in TV debates saying that Mahinda Rajapakse was a thief. then after the presidential election he saif nothing happend in the bond scam and he wrote a book. Then, Ranil appointed him to the 2nd COPE committee (does any one say Ranil did not know anything and he was a baby when he appointed this thief to the committee), At the saem time hae had said in thr arliament that he did not know what bonds are. Then he got a luxury car permit and imported one – the one who said I am against corruption. Now these. His assets are over 100 million within the last few years. He is SELECTED AS THE SECOND TIER POLITICIAN and not the most preferred kind. So, people knows that he is a dirty thief. LEt us see whether the crooked law enforcement, judicairy will do anything or it is just DRAMA getting ready for the election.

Our Election Laws should be amended to compel all candidates to reveal the sources and amounts of the campaign donations they receive. Such information should be accessible through Election Commission’s website. `Mr. Sunanda Deshapriya, over to you.

“HELPING HAMBANTOTA” — It is the same story here with Sujeeva Senasinghe.

You rob/steal/take a bribe – get caught then return it. What a pack of Jokers, we Sri Lankans are to take this shit especially from our pol;iticians.

He should be charged, prosecuted, jailed and the key out far at sea.

Two potential individuals who have busted their hopes of becoming future leaders of this country 1. Ravi Karunanayake 2. Sujeeva Senasinghe. The citizens are lucky that both have displayed their true characters as otherwise they could have wrecked this society more on the trust reposed on such people. I still place my trust on Ranil as there is no suitable alternate in sight at the moment. None can say that RW has made money for himself or his family. He would have had to resort to the Bond scam for the greater good of society to fight MR who has udlib funds robbed for his campaigns, whereas the UNP without funds would have been a sitting duck for MR’s cannons. It is easy for the Rogues under MR to crucify RW on the Bond Scam but the reality is otherwise as I have pointed out. It is only through Ranil Wickremasinghe that this society will be able to find a decent and honest person to rise up in the future and certainly not a Rajapaksa or through the SLPP or SLFP. My advice for the public is do not cut your nose to spite your face.

Spot on but if that was the case fighting against MRs loot money Sujeewa should have kept the mouth shut like most other MPs…
without ridiculing anyone…just a comment here and there…especially him being in the cope.
He got screwed when he went against RW …ditta dhamma vedaniya

      Gamini,
even if what you have been telling is the truth – many would not get it. Today the society is so rotten as nothing can help them reverse. If anyone woudl offer them something.. he would easily become your leader.
The manner MR or anyone of that nature being close to Sanga have been spreading lies about RW. This I cant tolerate. RW stays mum as it is usual with him and his behvaviour. Many of the ballige puthas being close to MR woudl do any harm but RW would not change his nature – WHICH IS TO BE SILENT and DECENT. But ballige puthas domanted current day lanka would never see it right. Who knows, even if they ve been cutting their nose to spite their face,.. consequences are not yet clear to them. THis sthe saddest reality of this deteriorating society.

      Gamini ,

The country is in a tricky situation today as a result of UNP
hanging on My3’s tail ! It is not about how clean or decent
leader RW is ! My3 + RW started off with hundred days plan
giving the general public a clear hope of difference from MARA
regime on many issues , not only constitutional amendments
and other reforms ! What is happening instead ? What is this
haphazard fight against fraud and corruption that started against
the previous regime and now spreading like cancer all over and
how is it going to end now ? I am wondering , what is RW’s job as
an honest and decent man in a country that is one hundred
percent corrupt ? He has now lost control of his stupid mission !
Fraud and corruption is in the blood in countries like Srilanka
and you can not eliminate it like this by standing full naked in
front of the world like this , let alone the Srilankans ! How strong
are we , economically and politically to embark on such a giant
suicidal task ? No doubt , we need a mechanism to deal with this
ugly culture in the country but , is RW is the right figure for the
mission ? In an ideal situation , the allegation of fraud and
corruption against former regime must end with at least some of
them going to prison as a warning to the future culprits ! I have a
valid reason to believe that he put the country in a mess for his
      benefit !

The guilty party is the media ,especially Maharaja channel !

See something very very sinister here? In slang “Smell a rat?”
‘Rebels’ crossover because of NCM or NCM staged to ‘force’ crossover?
Dayasiri’s confession followed. Sarath Fonseka was quick with his confession. And now Sujeewa.
We have entered a season of ‘forced’ confessions.
Are we in for a period of further tit-for-tat confessions? Force a confession from our side and we will squeeze one (or more) off you.
The Dayasiri confession is all but forgotten. We will be manipulated to accept such misdemeanours as facts-of-life!
‘The Daily Mirror’ 09 June 2018 Minister of Higher Education Dr Wijeyadasa Rajapakshe told Parliament last morning ~ “…..MP Seeni Mohammed Ismail, who was sworn in as an MP yesterday had been served a charge-sheet (by the University Grants Commission) with regard to alleged corruptive deals during his tenure at Oluvil University as the Vice Chancellor…………”.
    Every MP was complicit here.
    .
One side is trying to show that the other side is more corrupt! At the end will we be told that the MR-team is no more corrupt than MSS/RW team?

How dare you call me a racist, go and read all of what Mallaiyuran has stated all throughout. He (Mallaiyuran) can set this planet on fire. I only exposed that sheer racist, there are few others here.

It is high time the general public start to reconsider the NAMES they call MPs
and Medical Doctors . In Srilanka , people call grocery man Mudalali , all shop
men are called Mudalali because business is money . MPs are called MANTHREE
THUMA and Doctors are DOSTARA MAHATHTHAYA . Now that our lifestyle has
changed beyond recognition both positively and negatively and in respect of
these changes , we should call these gentlemen MPs and DOCTORS respectfully
MUDALALI ! Like MP Mudalali and Dosthara Mudalali ! Already in English it is
MEMBER OF PARLIAMENT FOR MP and one should try to understand why it was
made into MANTHREETHUMA IN SINHALA instead of PARLIMENTHU SAMAJIKA.
MEMMBER= SAMAJIKAYA . Now that it is all about money , the most fitting and
already in use is MUDALALI ! THUMA , SHOULD BE OUT FOREVER ! THERE MUST
BE SOME DECENT AND REASONABLE REACTION FROM THE PUBLIC I SUPPOSE.

All attention now drawn to “Who got What & Who Gave Whom”? It is also every day a “Guessing Game”. What does it really “Reveal”? In my opinion, the Presidential Commission has NOT DONE a “GOOD JOB” . If it DID all these information would have been elicited and recorded to become public knowledge, without allowing this “Guessing Game” to go on. If on the other hand, if that Commission did RECORD such information, then WHY and WHO “SHELVED” that in Archives? That was a “Presidential Commission”. Then WHY the President who, every day “preaches” his superior motives of combating corruption, immediately order the RELEASE of that report with all connected “Appendixes” for the public? Don’t we have a RIGHT to DEMAND that from the President of the PEOPLE? Why the President is “Tight Lipped”? Mr. President, please do the RIGHT thing at this moment.

      Douglas ,

There’s no such thing as “Right thing” in our politics ! It’s all about
the simplest or the most perplex ” Wrong thing.” The UNP vote
base , for years now keep sending signals that they are not happy with
the party plans and the party keeps ignoring them while forcing the
vote base to train for what the party wants from them . This very young
vocal that is Sujeeva told reporters on his return from a holiday after the
end of a crucial central committee meeting that HE WANTED TO DODGE
THE MEETING AND FOR THAT HE LEFT THE COUNTRY ! It is this guy
who is now caught up in DAMAGE CONTROL which is not in his hands !
A noted REBEL for party reforms , look how he stands full NAKED trying
thousands of years old antics to save his face instead of saying a simple
and generous sorry for his action and demanding an apology from his
supporters .Disgusting , these are the kind of people screaming for reform
abusing the look , age , profession , party and even the family name he
boasts all the time ! I seriously think that a situation is being created for
people to hate present political climate and wish for a dictator to take
control while good governance drama is in progress .

This man Sujeewa said earlier that the money was for his election campaign. Which is a blatant falsehood. It has since been revealed that the Chequers were given to him and encased long after the elections were over and when the Bond scam erupted. Little surprise that Sujeewa even wrote a book about the scam absolving Aloysius/Mahendran Of any wrong doing. Now it is clear that he has been bribed to do so. A criminal offence has been committed.Who knows whether other payments have been made by Aloysius in covert payments undetectable like cash payments etc. Further investigation has to be made but we can’t trust that to happen under Rogue No 1 Ranil

Our constitution and the statutes are more than enough to prevent any financial crime , injustice or misconduct in governance, but with these set of politicians from top to toe who are shamelessly and openly robbing the wealth of the country with their families and friends depriving the poor of their daily sustenance any more laws will not be of any use. One and only remedy is to get rid of these rascals confiscating lawfully all they have robbed from the country from the so called first citizen. But who will bell the cat?. Let us hope and pray that some one in Mother Lanka will rise up to the occasion to rescue our nation with the help of the suffering people.”All that is needed for the triumph of evil is for the good men to do nothing”
