In the ’70s I came across an article that revealed the revenue derived from the sale of Arms, of some of the Arms manufacturing contries amounted to around 20% of the GDP. It was not a case of one arms manufacturing country selling it to another arms manufacturing country, but the markets were the third world countries. For the third world countries rife with poverty, have been pressed with the purchase of arms and having to spend for it. Why do the third world countries want arms? The third world countries wants arms to resolve conflict that have been meticulously sowed by these very arms manufacturing countries. The reason being the masses in these third world countries are naive and are gullible. They look for identity and recognition. Hence Religion and Race provides them the fertile ground for conflict. What better opportunity than this for the suppliers and the commission agents to sell the arms. What a roaring trade?
