Manning Verdict Is Still Bad News For The Press

The Obama administration’s war on leaks and, by extension, the work of investigative reporters, has been unrelenting.

The American journalism trade is breathing a collective – but premature and, in many cases, grossly hypocritical – sigh of relief today. A military judge has found Bradley Manning guilty of many crimes, but “aiding the enemy” isn’t one of them.

    Does one see the similarities between the US and Sri Lanka in conducting Military Courts? I earnestly urge Sarath Fonseka to declare publicly as to what happened with the Hoax of an EElam War where a part of the LTTE was massacred, violating all International Norms and MR is shielded by the Americans using the very UN as shielding Shavendra Silva?
